- Job Title: An Intro To A World Of Demon's (Part 1 of the Demonic Soul series)
Rank: A
Player Requirements: Must have a Pharaoh Two A rank mages or the equivalent, max of 3 mages at once. 14,000 word count minimum, but divided evenly amongst the mages involved. (must all meet word count divided by amount of mages involved. So 2 mages = 7,000 words each, and 3 mages = 4,667 words each) You may only roll 2 monster dice per post. (Each person may roll.)
Job Requirements: Go to Fat Monsterland and put down whatever is leading the monsters in battle.
Job Location: Fat Monsterland
Job Description: There is a problem in Fat Monsterland! The monsters there are attacking with way too much cooperation where ever they strike, and they seem to be absorbing the souls of the dead to make themselves stronger. Any being worth their salt has been asked to help in the endeavor. But be warned, death is not the worst of fates for those that go on this job. After fighting through the lands you find an extremely large castle, one that you never knew was there. It feels powerful, and is obviously hiding something or someone important.
Enemies:
Weak:
Undead Soldier?
These soldiers are in half-plate armor, with chainmail underneath. A plate helmet covers all but their glowing, red, eyes as they charge at you with no worry of their own safety. They take half damage from physical attacks, but only take 2 A rank spells worth of damage to defeat.
Normal:
Blue Eyed Knight?
This knight, wearing a full set of metal armor, only has his two glowing blue eyes visible as they walks slowly towards you. The armor they wears negates all magic spells of B rank and lower, and it takes 75% reduced physical damage. They take 4 A rank spells worth of damage to defeat.
Strong:
Giant of Stone
A nine-foot tall humanoid made of pure stone. In combat, it uses its own body to fight, dealing S-rank spell damage per hit. The creature takes 90% reduced physical damage, and magic weak against earth and has no effect against it. Takes 10 A rank spells worth of damage to defeat.
Boss:
The first time this is rolled is when you find the castle, and must work your way through to find the boss; which requires another roll of a boss to do so.
After rolling a second boss you find a room full of small pillars, with a very high roof. Small fires on the walls light the room as the door behind you fills with an impassable fog that traps you there. There is no way out unless you defeat the; The Vanguard (Link to Picture as well)
The vanguard is a massive, fat, demonic creature that smells terrible. It's axe that it holds is sharp, and backed up by it's enormous strength is able to deal 2 S rank spells of damage in a single hit. It is also able to fly up into the air a small distance to drop back down to release a 5 meter AoE that does A Rank Damage to all in range while also knocking them backward.
He takes 25 S ranks worth of spell damage to defeat, which causes the door on the opposite side of which you entered to open up.
After defeating the boss and going through the door, you come face to face with a MASSIVE humanoid dragon that must be at least four hundred feet tall. Upon seeing you it releases a punch at the party that automatically hits and kills everyone. Alas! Death is not permanent and you awaken in a strange place that a woman with clay covered eyes calls the Nexus as she introduces herself as the maiden in black. She explains that you are trapped in this 'Nexus' until you are able to stop the beast that has awakened (which is at the end of the job series)
Note; This job series does not keep you from doing jobs with others, the trapped part is all part of the plot for THIS job series alone. It will be hard, and later jobs will allow for invasions and PvP, so beware!
Reward:
25k Jewels per person.
Access to part two of the Demonic Soul series.
Fat Monsterland...what a name for a place on the planet of Earthland. Though it definitely had earned the name it was given. It was the land of all sorts of over-sized monsters! Some were tall, some exceedingly fat, some having toes longer than their feet, if it was exaggerated it was probably here! Though these monsters were not whey Aiyana was here, she had something more pressing to attend to than sight see monsters. Something was coordinating the attacks of monsters on the area, and people were claiming that they were stealing souls and making themselves stronger with them. Mages from across the land had been asked to go in search of whatever is causing the issue, and Aiyana Shuer had decided to make herself one such mage. The celestial nine tailed fox was already in the lands that the mission was taking place in, though she had yet to do so much as begin to wander in. No, she was not afraid to go in. Why would someone that knew they could not actually die be afraid to? The Pharaoh's Call guild master was simply waiting to see if any others would come along at the same time as herself.
It had been maybe a half hour since she had arrived and not a single other soul had been seen just yet. If things did not change she would assume no one was coming and do this on her own, though that would make it immensely boring to have no one but her pets and summons to chat with; unless another mage or being decided to show up and chat with her while she worked.
