Building Friends (Takumi Yoshino and Orange)

Orange turned to see the White Hair nearly falling. He dropped his instrument and rushed over. HE immediately started looking over him. A feeling of sadness washed over him. "Are you okay?" He asked. Orange's eyes were full of empathy. He picked up his ocarina and started playing a calming song for him. He remembered this song clearly. It was his sister's favorite song. Tears welled in his eyes as he remembered his older sister. He finished the song and looked at him. "Are you okay?"

The white haired mage crumpled to his knees. Memories were washing over him like a tide, he could hardly see from the curtain of tears now. "Thinking... of... my sister." Was all he could say as he gasped for breath. The young Slayer used the corner of the Haori he was wearing over his black robes to try and dry his tears, but they kept coming. He hadn't really allowed himself to cry over what had happened, staying strong for his guild instead as they transitioned to a dark guild. He hadn't told many people either... only Sorano and Hera actually knew what had happened.

Orange hugged the mage tightly letting tears fall down his face as well. He rubbed his hands on White Hair's back. "Shhh. It is okay." He laughed slightly. "I had a sister too. She is long gone though. Died of illness." He laughed. "I miss her everyday, but it gets better. You just have to believe they are always here with you, no matter what." He took the mage's face and made it level with his. "Don't cry." Orange took out an handkerchief and tried to dry his tears. "Do you need to talk?"

"I've just... really never gotten any time to get over her. I had to be strong for everyone in my guild, we were going through a harsh change when she died. We had just been labelled as a dark guild... so I never got to mourn her. But now it's all rushing back.." The mage buried his face in the strangers shoulder, crying as tears fell into his long white hair. He was such a crybaby... but he couldn't help it.

Orange hugged the mage's shoulders tightly murmuring to him. He thought for a second before singing a song. "There are shadows on the wall, stay calm stay calm. There are figures in the hall stay calm stay calm." He softly sang. "I never got over my sister either, but whenever I feel the warm sun, I know it is her light warming me. Whenever I hear music it is her songs. Look for the light in life, and believe they are watching you." He got out a box of tissues. "Do you get me?"

The mage nodded as he listened to the other boy's words. He had been carrying his pain alone, never able to bring it out into the open. But exposing it like this... suddenly relieved it, just a tiny bit. His blue eyes still watery, he hugged the blond boy, tightly, squeezing so hard it was sure to leave a mark. "Thank you... i actually feel a bit better now." He said, voice muffled by the stranger's shoulder. He lifted his face, which was red and puffy from crying. Then his face went red for a quite a different reason as he realized how close he was sitting to the other boy.

Orange took his hand and stood up. Here, we should go get you washed up. He started to walk over his apartment. Opening the door, he hung his bag on the hook. Going to the kitchen he got the stranger a glass of water. "I never got your name! What is it?" He asked, closing the door.

"Oh. My name. My name is Takumi Yoshino, of Fairy Tail, at your service." Takumi bowed low, a sweeping gesture, before standing upright again, his tone slightly flirty now. His mood could change fast when he wanted it to. But this flirty tone... what was it? He had never used this tone with anyone before, not even Julius. As he bowed, his scythe chose that moment to change back into a Scythe in his pocket, practically ripping the left side of his robes off. The double bladed scythe lightly grazed Takumi as it transformed, causing him to blush harder as he realized he was pretty much half naked now.

Orange rushed over to Takumi and threw a black blanket over him. His backed up and stared at the scythe. He turned around and started cleaning up the floor. "I'm Orange Rool (long o sound) of Fairy Tail. Nice to meet you" His bright blue eyes sparkled as he finished cleaning up. When he was in the kitchen he let the red blush crawl onto his face.

Takumi was blushing hard as he breathed in the scent of the blanket that had been thrown over him. Why the hell had his scythe transformed? He was usually the only thing that could make it change shape, and he certainly hadn't planned that. With his snowy skin it was impossible to hide the blush, though his white hair falling over his face did help a little bit. He touched one hand to his side and winced at the smell of blood, made worse by his superhuman sense of smell.

Orange leaned over the sink, getting bandages when he heard a girl's voice. "Do you need any help?" He dropped the roll of bandages causing a loud crash. He turned around and felt the girl get closer. He leaned down to get the bandages and picked them up. "Do not let him see you!" Orange walked out into the main room, the bandages in hand. He felt his conscious slip from him. Soon he was walking not by him self. His normal blue eyes were mostly yellow now. He started bandaging up Takumi. He look up at Takumi his weirdly yellow eyes sparkling.

Takumi couldn't help but notice the yellow in the once-blue eyes of the other boy. "Are... are you okay?" He asked timidly, staring into those yellow eyes. He giggled a little as the other boy's gentle fingers brushed his skin, but then began to panick. Wait... what if he saw the curse mark? What if he had to explain? But what he didn't know was a patch of the wine red curse mark was peeking out from the side of him that was covered. He would have to explain the mark covering his entire other side sooner than he realized...

Orange giggles, unusually high pitched. "I am fine silly!" Even his voice was high pitched. He ran his fingers over the a red mark on his side. "Hey what's th-" Orange fell limp as he passed out. His blonde hair fell out, getting messed up. His breath became deep and slow.

Takumi panicked when Orange found the marking. But then Orange passed out right on his feet... which only made him panick worse. "Orange? Orange! Wake up!" Cried the mage as he shook the other boy as gently as he could. His blue eyes had widened, like two bright jewels surrounded by the snowy skin of his face as he looked down at the blond. Things had sure escalated quickly from a mere walk in the park. First he had turned into a blubbering mess, then they went to Oranges apartment, then the Scythe incident, and now this?

Dreams. Orange was floating in dreams. Then he heard panicked screaming. "Orange! Orange! Wake up!" It cried. Orange snapped his eyes open, the bright blue eyes as bright as spotlights. He took a gasping breath and coughed. He smiled weakly. "I guess I am going to jail." He said. "Case a took aREST." He laughed weakly and before he knew it he was hugging Takumi. "I guess I will have to explain that. I mean if you want me too."

Takumi sighed with relief when the other boy woke up. "Hey..." He said with a weak smile. "You scared me." Heat rose in his cheeks once more when Orange grabbed him. The mage sighed. This boy was like a more innocent version of Aquar... The bad jokes and all. He just squeezed the other boy. He didn't know why but he felt a connection to this stranger. He didn't want him to be hurt so soon after meeting. "You better damn well explain that." Huffed the slayer.

Orange let go and took a deep breath. "Do you remember what I said about my sister. Well she haunts me. And if I get very emotional," He sighed. "She posses me and I can not control it." Tears welled up in his eyes. "She wants revenge and and." He started to cry. "She got to me because, because." He just cried. "I'm sorry if I hurt you, she does what she wants and I can never control it."

Takumi's eyes widened slowly as he listened to Orange. "No... no. You didn't hurt me. Shhhh." Takumi gently cupped the other boy's face and smiled gently. He wiped away the tears with his thumb, trying to comfort him as Orange had done for him. He hugged the other boy back, hard, all the blush gone from his face. All he saw now was somebody who needed comfort, and he intended to give it to him. He gently kissed the other boy's forehead. "You're sweet to worry about me.. but are you okay?" Asked Takumi.

Orange's face turn slightly red at the other boy's kiss. He sniffled and found his voice. "Yeah. I am fine, just shaken, I guess." He smiled. "Here I will be right back." Orange got up and went to his closet to grab one of his spare jackets. Tossing it to Takumi he said. "Here! I think it will fit!"

Takumi caught the jacket, breathing in the scent of it for a minute before putting it on. He looked ridiculous, with the torn robes, the Haori, and the jacket, but he couldn't help but smile at this kind, sweet boy he had met in the park. He hugged Orange, strong arms wrapping around the other boy. He almost felt guilty that he wanted to hide the curse from Orange... but it was something he needed to do. Nobody else could know of the curse. He needed to stop it by himself, he couldn't go involving others in his problems.

Orange smiled at the hug. It reminded him of his father's. Pulling away he still smiled and walked over to the piano. "Do you want to hear a song?" He asked. He blew away dust on the old lid and opened it, the white and black keys shimmering.
He sat down at the piano and pulled out some music. After thinking for a second he waved his hand to invite Takumi over to play with him.

Takumi joined Orange at the piano, smiling at the other boy. He was almost easing the pain that came from not being a member of the guild any more. Takumi sighed as the two played the music together, wondering why he hadn't fallen for somebody like this... No. He had to stop thinking this way. He already had someone he liked, so what was this attraction he felt?
