Journey to the Sewers... [Job/Solo]

JUST WANNA HAVE SOME FUN

As the idiotic pair traveled deeper into horrid sewers they had heard a sound, so they ran towards it as fast as they could, not having an ounce of hesitation. They heard the unfamiliar voice making sounds, but they couldn't picture what it would look like, it had such a high pitch voice that normally other people would probably avoid it. As they got closer to the weird voice, they turned right to see water which was shaped like a person, and was engulfed in flames, "Ahh! Doesn't fire on water defy logic!" Zeno said in a shocked fashion as his eyes popped out of their sockets, "I think a water person already defies logic!" Tito replied correcting Zeno as his eyeballs also popped out of their sockets. Tito suddenly calmed down while, Zeno was still in shock, "I got this!" Tito said sternly as he put his arm in front of Zeno to block his way, quickly changing to battle mode, even though Zeno wasn't going to attack due to him being in shock. Tito suddenly jumped at the flaming water person, he managed to hit it four times with his barrage of punches, but his attack was halted as the flaming person shot a fire ball at Tito, "Ao Amplifier!" Tito roared his spell as he punched the fire ball, making it disappear. He then turned the tables and decided it was his turn to attack, He jumped at the flaming water guy and punched him four times which made a loud roar through the sewers, and with that, the flaming water person had been no more. "Woo!" Tito cheered as a smile appeared on his fist, as sweat dropped down the back of Zeno's head, because he saw how much strength his best friend harbored. "Nice, Tito!" Zeno praised Tito as they bumped fists and continued on.

Zeno became tired as they journeyed throughout the sewers, "How about we take a rest!" Zeno said as he fell asleep on the concrete area of the stinky sewers. Tito agreed as they both relaxed and fell asleep. Little did they know that this was a bad time to fall asleep, because something was coming there way, and let me tell you, it wasn't friendly, if the idiots don't wake up soon, their chances of survival are at zero.

JUST WANNA EAT SOME FOOD

They were still sleeping in the sewers, reckless enough to dismiss the job for a few hours just for a measly rest that probably wouldn't even last long, what a pair of idiots. As they were still in there deep sleep which normally only Yazuki could wake them up from, there had been explosions just a few meters away from where they were sleeping, though it didn't wake them up, they suddenly had a strange feeling in their gut and got up, "We're Hungryyy!" They both said in unison, they hadn't awoken because they sensed the monsters near, instead they had been awoken by their vicious hunger. Now that they had been awoken by their hunger, they had now been able to hear the strange sounds, resonating from just a few meters away, There's more? When do we ever get a break! Zeno yelled in his head as he began to pout, little did the idiot know, they already had a break when they had a three hour sleep all to themselves without getting disturbed once, that sounded like way more than a break. The sound suddenly came closer and sounded more beast-like, "Get ready to fight, Tito!" Zeno made sure Tito was prepared, soon after Tito gave his nod of approval, they both initiated their fighting stances, Zeno stood in his normal fighting stance, with his knees bent towards the left of him and his torso also faced his left side, with his hands up ready to fight, Tito had just been in his battle mode, and had his hands up, anxiously waiting for the monsters that been making strange noises that had been resonating throughout the sewers. Suddenly the two monsters had appeared, one was just a person made out of fire with no other features except for it's gold eyes, and the other one was the exact same monster Tito had easily defeated before, Zeno and Tito both had a smile spread across their face as they were happy they could have a privilege of such a fun battle.

Without hesitation they charged toward their enemies, Tito took the Flaming Water person again due to Zeno's weakness to water, and Zeno took the fire person due to his superior crimson flames which was probably one of the strongest flames in the world of magic. Both had no sign of fear as they jumped at their assigned enemies, they seemed to be having no problems as Tito easily landed four hits with his fists which had sent the flaming water person flying into the sewer walls, but it still managed to get up with the little strength it had left. Zeno easily bashed the fire person though the fire person seemed to have something up it's sleeve as it didn't bother to defend himself, instead the fire person just allowed Zeno to continuously punch it, What the hell!? Fight back! Are you looking down on me!? Zeno became enraged after his fifth punch, planning to make his sixth one the winner, he put all his strength into it, as it hit the flaming person, the flame person suddenly disappeared, and then a huge explosion occurred. So this was his trick....Damn! Why couldn't I see through it! Zeno was suddenly engulfed by the explosion which dealt some serious damage, Tito had also been caught up in it, and the flaming water person Tito was fighting, had been killed by the explosion. "Duly Noted. The ones that are only on fire, explode." Zeno said shaking it off and lending a hand to Tito, who took his hand which pulled him up. Their faces still had smiles on them as they were proud of themselves, being able to defeat these guys, even though their opponents were weak, they knew to never underestimate anybody.

HARNESS THE CRIMSON RAGE

They ran deeper into the sewers, keeping their senses on alert just in case they were surprise attacked, and they didn't really want that so the only possible way to prevent it, is to stay very cautious and always be alert, even though the pair loved fights, they needed some time to recover from the explosion that had occurred because of the flame person being defeated by Zeno. Though they continued to hear peculiar sounds still resonating throughout the sewers, they decided not too be hasty and instead of charging towards them, they thought they should think of a plan where they could easily defeat the monsters and continue on to approach and defeat their master who murdered countless of people. This wasn't the time for them to be playing around, they were dealing with a real criminal, I wont forgive those that kill for no reason! Zeno gritted his teeth making a sound which was loud enough for Tito to hear it, and he was a meter away, so you could tell Zeno wasn't all happy this time around. "SCRRRRRR" A peculiar voiced squealed, echoing throughout the sewers, causing Zeno and Tito to turn their focus back to their plan. It wasn't the best or most flashiest strategy, though it was the best they could do, and it sounded like it would be quite effective in their current circumstances.

As they patiently waited for the next opponent to appear, they kept revising their plans for each of the monsters they had seen, the flaming water person would just be taken out by Tito, though the fire person was the one they had a hard time with, due to the explosions and all. After ten minutes they had finally, finished revising their plans, but as they relaxed for one second, a blast of flames hurled at them both, though Zeno was able to easily dodge with Tito in his arms, "I knew you would come when we least expected it." Zeno said at the fire man who stood only a few meters away from Zeno and Tito, He's gonna explode after we beat him, so we just go with the plan. Zeno charged towards the fire man, while Tito stayed in his normal exceed form as Zeno and the fire person battled it out. Zeno had been able to hit five punches on the fire person, though he didn't attack the sixth time because he knew it would explode, 3...2....1....Now! Zeno unleashed a mighty punch that roared throughout the sewers as he instantly fell back, with his teammate behind him, he quickly engulfed himself in crimson flames as he cried his spell name.

Crimson Flame : Shield!

The crimson flames which encompassed his body acted as a shield as he easily tanked the explosion which had occurred, also blocking Tito from the mass explosion allowing them to easily defeat the fire person with not even a single problem, Plan....Success! Zeno looked at Tito as they both smiled at each other. With not even a second of hesitation, they both ran towards wherever the sewers would take them, they hoped it would lead them to the mass murderer which had done a chain killing not too long ago, whoever it was, needed to be brought to justice, and there's no other person than Zeno to do that.

They glanced at their surroundings as they continued on towards the peculiar yet annoying voice. It had been resonating throughout the sewers for a long time now, and let me tell you, Zeno and Tito really weren't in the mood, considering the fact that they were venturing further into a stinky hellhole, Why did the killer have to choose the sewers as their main hideout, I mean, there are so many other places the could have hid, and of course, with mine and Tito's luck, they chose the sewers. We better finish this job quick, I'm about to go crazy! Zeno got angered at the stench as it honestly hurt to smell, Zeno and Tito couldn't take the smell now, thought it took a while for the disgusting odor to hit them, it was really bad, in fact, it could even kill someone considering how they couldn't take it, and they were go-lucky people who would go through anything with no problem, but this... this was too much.

The annoying voices began to become more clear, they had finally been making progress. They were lucky the voices became clearer, because another ten minutes of the stench and having no leads, they were definitely gonna quit. "Tito! We're close! Stay on guard! They'll be attacking anytime now, we have to be ready." Zeno alerted Tito, making sure everything was okay and that they would have no problems when the time came to initiate battle. Tito nodded back, signaling that he was ready to fight no matter the circumstances. 

They finally came into a halt as they arrived in front of a big passage way which lead into a big sewer room, they were a bit hesitant to walk in, but the peculiar voices had mostly been resonating from there, so they needed to walk in, due to it being where the killer most likely resided. 

As they the walked in through the sewer passage, all they saw was a strange being made of water and a few meters behind the water being was the murdered, they could tell as they had felt the ill aura coming off of... her. Yes, the murderer was a girl, and a crazy one at that, she had been laughing like a maniac constantly, making a sweat drop down the back of both Zeno's and Tito's heads. 

"Kill them, my precious Water Spawn!" The girl who had committed crimes ordered the water being that was standing before her, the water being followed the orders and proceeded to attack, thought it's attack failed horribly as Tito and Zeno both sent it flying, "Oh? You're not weak like my last victims...." The killer commented at their prowess, ticking off Zeno, "You look down on those who are in their eternal rest? I was having doubts fighting a girl, but I changed my mind. I'm gonna kick your ass!" Zeno said as he glared at the maniacal woman, he was going to make her regret she ever lived.

Zeno's hands were suddenly engulfed in crimson flames as he charged towards the maniacal woman with the intent to kill, Zeno was able to dodge many of her attacks that were fired from her flamethrower, some of the attacks were blasts of fire, and some were attacks that blasted scalding water towards Zeno, he was able to land a few punches on the woman sending her back a few feet, she attempted to retaliate but was being completely crushed in the battle as Zeno would dodge her various blasts and then proceed to beat the shit out of her in hand to hand combat when he got close enough.

"W-What?! Guess I'll have to use it now, even though I was saving it for later!" The maniacal woman suddenly pulled out a potion and drank, smirking with glee as she threw the once full bottle but now empty on to the floor, making it smash into various sharp pieces. "It will take a while but this potion makes it I can regenerate as if I took no damage from you! MUAHAHAHAHA!" The killer laughed crazily as she made Zeno fall into her trap, he was now out of stamina, though he could still fight, just not as efficiently.

Zeno began to sweat as he recognized he fell into her trap completely, he had just bashed many of he monster minions, and then he was hoping to finish her off, but she goes ahead and drinks some potion which allows her to regenerate, it had already kicked in, most of her wounds had completely disappeared and she had no problem moving now, now that the maniacal woman had the upper hand on Zeno, it wasn't gonna be very fun from now on, "You scheming little b-" Zeno was about to swear at the maniacal woman, but she interrupted halfway through, "What's wrong? Thought this was gonna be easy? Muahahahaha!" The maniacal woman teased Zeno as she taunted him with her hand gesturing for him to come. Obviously Zeno agreed without hesitation and instead of jumping at her, stood still and casted his spell, suddenly making a large red magic circle appear before him.

Crimson Flame : Arrows!

Six arrows made of crimson flames suddenly burst towards the maniacal woman, as the woman was occupied with the six arrows, Zeno made his way around her, there he stood behind her as she was hit by four of the arrows, making her fly further backwards straight into Zeno, which was all apart of his devious plan, as she flew backwards towards him, Zeno held out his palm, grabbing her back and then swiftly initiating his spell.

Crimson Flame : Palm Explosion!

Crimson flames burst out of his palm and onto the maniacal woman's back, causing her to pelt forward into the sewer walls. Without even letting the maniacal woman get back up, Zeno charged forward at her again, throwing relentless punches until she could not move, "You evil piece of crap! You know how much lives you took!" Zeno yelled at her as he continuously bashed her, "14......" The maniacal woman was able to confess her killings with a low tone of voice making him stop attacking her with his non-stop barrage of punches. She had been defeated and the Zeno's choice was to either kill her or let her live. The maniacal woman took many lives, but did she deserve the punishment of death, no, maybe she deserved something way worse, like staying in prison her whole life, hopefully Zeno would make the right choice, or was he engulfed in so much anger that he couldn't think? Who knows what his choice might be, but hopefully it's the right one.

Zeno, engulfed in anger, was too angry to make the right choice, and unleashed a mighty punch upon the maniacal woman, causing her to become a lifeless body that nobody would remember as a good person, but as an evil one. Though the maniacal woman did deserve it, after all, she killed innocent civilians for no reason, and that's one of the things Zeno hates. "Rest In Peace, Shall you never forget your sins and always be reminded of them." Zeno's rage faded away as he said his last words towards the woman. He was suddenly smacked straight on the head, "How many times do I have to tell you not to kill our target, we get a major jewel decrease now!" Tito scolded Zeno as he face palmed. "Let's just get out of this disgusting place!" Zeno replied as he ran towards the exit, and Tito followed closely behind, they had gotten use to the horrid smell, but now that they had relaxed, it came back, even stronger. After finally arriving at the exit of the sewers, with not an ounce of hesitation, they climbed the ladder to feel a gentle breeze making Zeno's hair sway to the side, "Ahhhh..The smell of sweet fresh air!" Zeno exclaimed in joy as him and Tito continuously kissed the ground, grateful that they had finally got out of the stinky sewers, though, it made people avoid them, since it was pretty weird for people to be kissing the ground in the middle of the town as behind them was a open sewer.

Though they had finally got out of the horrid smelling sewer, they had the scent from the sewer that caused even more people to avoid the pair. They quickly bolted towards the place where they could claim their jewels and then proceeded to swiftly bolt out and towards the closest shower they could find. They finally arrived at the Fairy Tail guild hall and rushed towards the showers, answering no questions, also leaving behind the nasty odor they had caught from the sewers.

"Ahhhh" Zeno let out a sigh of relief as he was finally clean and had a nice smell to him, he was relieved that they were able to do the job without a sign of failure, other than getting a decrease in jewels due to the targets death. Though it wasn't that big of a deal, as the maniacal woman had killed many innocent civilians and in a way, kind of deserved it, though Zeno felt like there was something wrong with her, and that he had fixed it by letting her go to a much more peaceful place where she would not be able to endanger others.
