Name: Galad Heru
Gender: Male
Age: 60
Birthday: 12.01
Sexuality: straight
Special Characteristics: Scar beneath right eye
Personality:
His younger years are shrouded in the veil of amnesia, he has no memory of neither his life, his family or his friends prior to being an adult.
Perhaps it is a blessing, perhaps it is a curse. Whatever took his memories, left a deep hole inside his soul. He is reluctant to make friends, because whenever he does he always fears that he will one day forget them as well. Yet he travels the world seeking worthy companions, dreaming of even finding a Guild to call home one distant day.
For now Galad is a wanderer, roaming the world in an endless quest to do good and to stay alive. Some days that means helping those that need it, other days he finds himself occupied with whatever work a stranger can get. He is frequently dragged into trouble simply because he reffuses to turn a blind eye to any injustice. Some say such is the mark of a hero, others that it is the lot of a fool. Some never bother distinguish the two.
When the screams of warriors, and song of swords quiet, and the empty of the road and night settles, you would find him a quiet person. Keeping mostly to his own company, observing the world, lost in thoughts that are only his. There is a sad air around him, yet when his eyes land on the happiness of people, however unfamiliar they are to him, he will smile.
When encountering conflict, he will wait only as long as it takes him to judge who is in the wrong. To wait longer would be unthinkable. His warning is true, and not ignored lightly. Galad has no consideration of power or titles. He is as likely to take on a mighty lord, as he is a roaming bandit. In his eye, there is only the injustice, and only the cure of the sword.
Galad, while enjoying solitude, also finds great joy in sharing his knowledge with others, and tends to help in any way he can. Be it something small as a friendly advice, or something time consuming, like training. He loves food, and by food he means meat. His dinner usually consists of a wide variety of different meats, which he litterary rips apart like a wild beast. The few who have joined him in a meal are unlikely to do so again.
in battle:
Galad prefers to fight alone because it means there are no allies to consider in the heat of battle.
When asked, however, he will gladly join forces with those fighting for a worthy cause. When fighting an adversary, he prefers to hold back until he can assess the skills and motivations of his enemies. If possible, he will seek a peaceful way to end the fight, and even when violence is the only answer he is known to be lenient and merciful with even the worst of the worst. He is often seen as reckless because of this, and is frequently damaged during the assessment of his adversary.
Galad doesn't feel comfortable fighting under someones command, instead preferring to solve things his own way. A leader that allows him the space to handle matters freely is a leader he would gladly follow.
Likes:
* Seeing people having a good time, because seeing people being happy makes the world seem right and good.
* Eating meat, because meat is just so darn tasty!
* Relaxing beneath a tree, watching the sky. Because some times you just have to take your time to relax and think about life.
Dislikes:
* people who hurt those too weak to defend themselves.
* Getting told what to do, because he likes doing things his own way.
* A meal without meat.
Motivations:
* helping others, because that's the whole point of power.
* Finding a guild and some friends. Wandering alone is fine, but it would be nice to have a home to get back to.
* Becoming a great wizard that will be remembered trough history, hopefully for something good.
This will be evidence that he did something right with his life.
Fears:
* Living without something to live for is more frightening then death.
More than anything he fears an empty life, void of loved ones.
A world without meat, because anyone would fear living in a world without their obsession.
* Being the cause of someone getting hurt. For someone dedicated to doing good, there is nothing more frighting than the idea of accidentally doing harm. Especially if to a loved one.
