Boom! Crash! Ker-pow! Things were starting to get heated in the guild’s main hall. There wasn’t time to think about what was happening behind him. Ben needed the attention far more, among getting healed that is. The spirit was silent, far longer than was needed. Jaeger began to panic, wondering if he would make it in time to save his comrade. To him, death was a part of nature, it was needed in the endless cycle of life, however, needless death and one of a friend, well he couldn’t help but go behind the teachings he was brought up with.
“Netzach… please!”
“I am sorry to say that… I cannot do anything for your friend at this time. I have been crystallized in this tree form for far too many centuries. My powers are dormant, locked away beyond my strength. I can feel it within me, but your planet has claimed it, transformed it into something else. I can no longer use it.”The spirit was sadden by the turn of fate. Humans had been brought into a war, no, an execution, that they had no part in. While it was their will to help the tree and spirit, their deaths did not need to come from such an event. Unfortunately, she couldn’t even help those in need anymore, not directly. The spirit was still not of this realm, her magic? It was melded and transformed, sort of, and became a source of Earthland based Magic. The only chance, and option, was to try and transfer over her power to another, one of this Realm so that it can be helpful again.
“Shit… What am I to do? He’s dying out there!”
“I may… may be able to give you the power that I can no longer use. You are born of this Realm, a child of this planet. You may be able to use the magic, even if unstable and uncontrollable at first."The idea to transfer the magic to another was dangerous for the Angel. Here on this planet of Earthland, she was a spirit. Crystallized and turned into a tree, she weakened as time went by; As the planet made her and her magic into something recognizable to its nature, something the planet could use and circulate. Earthland took the foreign magical substance and integrated it, laundered the magic into something it could processes. Doing so, it formed a protective and natural lacrima like crystal around the angel, using her as a core for this particular transmutation.
The magic, however, was no longer under her control, not really. At best, she believe the man could be a new host or Core for this magic. It wa fortunate that the magic he already possesses allows him to be connected with the planet on a magical and physical level. With this, the plan stood a chance to work as Jaeger was A Child of Earthland. Should the Wizard of Sleeping Forest accept, he would be granted this Tree of Life magic that he has sought. The angel’s being, spirit, and soul would slip away into nothingness, allowing her to pass away in a manner that was her own.
“This… Is that the only way? What would happen to you if this happens?”
Jaeger inquired, but the spirit did not reply but merely decided upon herself to do it. There wasn’t any time to really converse. Ben was bleeding heavily and he needed the treatment now. The Great Tree of Life began to glow, shimmering a emerald like green light. Jaeger was immediately drawn into the lacrima in which Netzach resided. Still silent, the man could feel the crystal seeping into his skin, the spirit slowly disappearing. There was no warning, no full acceptance on his part, but it was needed. Ben, with this power, shall be saved for now.
The tree, from an outside perspective, would glow than instantly shrink into the shape of Jaeger. All the magic that had the Lacrima at its core, was now inside the man. Thinking about it, it was much like catching a pokemon. You’d start with the form and outline of a pokemon as it flashed bright white. It then instantly went into the pokeball as it was being captured. Roughly, the same thing was happening. The man glowed and flashed green as his body took in all that magic and it’s abilities. The meat suit was struggling to contain it, all the access magic and power. It was too much to keep to himself.
Jaeger stumbled over to Ben, who was slowly fading. The wizard needed to spend the excess magic to help his own body to coup. Placing both his hands over the Sleeping Forest Member, the green lit magic pours from the appendages to Ben. His wounds began to heal, slowly but surely, the magic was doing its thing on Ben.
