Detailed Personality: A tyrant is a cruel and oppressive ruler; someone who has seized power through the means of inheritance or unconstitutionally. Marceline is no different from a tyrannical queen, as she places her ideals, thoughts, actions... her own life... before her "nation and people." She sits away on her "throne" while her "nation of people" go about their ill lives, and busies herself with treasures and pleasures. It isn't her necessarily enjoying herself, though it could be seen as that, it's more of her entertaining her ever-bored mind. You see, while someone who "rules" an entire nation in her mind, one only ever is entertained when a war starts. Wars hardly ever start for her people, so Marceline is left to her own devices, awaiting the moment she will truly be needed. However, she is one to treat both good and evil equally, and no other ideologies or ways of life appeal to her when all that is the basis is herself.
All that is in her mind is the idea of conquering places that are not under her "control," and acquiring the goods and guarding them. People are only pawns in her game of life, chess pieces used to move forward and be taken down while she plunders and conquers. Their lives mean nothing to her when she knows that losing them is a better benefit than keeping them around. To her, all living beings are creatures who will die or will one day die, and thus, she chooses when they die. Be them a sage or a god, their life is nothing more than a piece to a game, in which her only goal is to win. Every word she speaks is a ruling, and any person who goes against her ruling will be sentenced to death. "Sentenced to death" meaning that she won't hesitate to kill you or have someone kill you in order to remove your existence from the world.
Arrogance and selfishness are the core traits of a tyrant, and as expected, Marceline displays these traits keenly. She sees herself as the only "true queen" of the world, and acknowledgement of other leaderships is never in her book. They, the people, are inferior to her, whether they be kings or gods, and are only mongrels meant to bow to her. A loathing of these people, these leaders, has grown strong in the depths of Marceline's mind, and has corrupted her. No one is allowed on her level of importance, and as seen fit, she will try to slaughter them if they attempt it. Nothing, but morsels of flesh meant to serve her, people could never reach the level that she holds herself to be on. But if such a thing were to happen, it's very likely that only a select few were to be seen by her as equals, though never better.
Ignorance of her existence will lead to your death; don't know of her face, can't recognize who she is. Why? Why should she let you live if you couldn't even recognize who she was? Your one, true queen you best yourself upon? Anyone, who so much as looks upon her with a lowly and filthy gaze, becomes an intolerable disgrace and is quickly rid of. A queen will not take to her people seeing her as worthless, when all she tries is her best to make them happy. Humanity is too weak in her eyes, however, and thus, she wishes to perfect its nature by growing her army of followers. Her new idea, her goal for the world, is to create a race of mindless drones to do her bidding and conquer other worlds and places. Too broad of a plan, maybe so, but humanity is a race that this young mage cannot tolerate to see rule her world.
Anything and everything is hers, and if it isn't hers, then it will be hers before the person can blink a blind eye. She has amassed a treasure so large from her travels, that keeping things remotely luxurious is much like breathing to her. The items are unimportant, mostly things she has stolen from people around the world and claimed her own. Not only that, but this treasure that she compulsively collects as a hobby or even as a kleptomaniac, is spread over the world. It isn't just one place that contains all of her "treasures," but rather the world is her closet, in which she keeps things. These items though, are nothing more than trinkets that were prized by people, in which she only wanted as her own. After all, a tyrant gets what she wants, whether it be through the means of stealing or gaining it another way.
While items are only things of mere interest, it is clear that it is and always will be owned by her, for she is queen. It doesn't not necessarily need to be in her possession for the item to be considered her own, and she will only lend the items out. First, the person must be a trustworthy being, and only then would she decide on whether to give the item or not. It's not about if she finds you trustworthy in having it, but rather if she finds that she could easily kill you in order to get it back. Most things belong to her and she refuses to share, as she sees it that she has fairly and squarely won said item. Take it from her, and it's a sure sign that she'll find a way to lop your head off and rid your existence from the world. She's not a kind woman when it comes to her items; she's an entire kleptomaniac and maybe even on a whole other level.
Marceline is easily infatuated by men, but would only ever dream of one becoming her husband and never it become truth. Men are stubborn creatures, in which she idolizes the radiance that glows off them when they fight back. To have one for her own, to call her own, she would believe to lose interest in ever having loved the man. Thus, she will only show her love to them through physical, emotionless means, until she gets bored with them. They are wild creatures meant to live on their own and never to be tamed, so she fears the loss of interest in them once "obtained." However, that idea of having a man of her own still rattles around in her head every once in a while, ever so tempting. But to enslave one would be something entirely different, to hold one captive under her tyrannical ruling...
Unfortunately, she's one to underestimate her opponents, and combat only as a source of entertainment for her boredom. Because of her egotistical views, the battle becomes less serious and she doesn't take her opponent as a real threat when they may be. However, if she sees someone as a potential match to her, well... she may just take the battle more seriously. Though it is only those that she respects, she will reach out to in battle and face them with much more seriousness. Half the time, she doesn't use her full power in battle, as she doesn't see her opponent as worthy in seeing it. Basically, she half-asses most of what she does, and really only uses battling as a way to cure her incurable boredom. Without it, she'd be lost and always sitting on her "throne," wondering when the real entertainment of life will get around.
Marceline is easily one to blend into her surroundings, for without this skill, she would be too easily found out by others. A tyrannical leader, while searching for love and attention, doesn't always need to be seen by her people. Thus, she may take on actions that she isn't entirely used to, in order to fool those around her into believing she is one of them. This is mostly a resourceful skill when on jobs or interacting with mages, who may believe she is on the bad side. That isn't something that Marceline wants, as she treats good and bad equally, whereas they wouldn't ever dream to. She is a queen meant to rule her people in peace, while also ruling them with an iron fist to keep them in shape. A single slip up on her part could lead to the end of what would have been the greatest nation in existence.
Nothing is greater than what Marceline believes, meaning nothing will ever be greater in the world than herself. Anger boils in her veins when she sees that a lowlife is attempting to speak with such a grandeur of a person as herself. While anger isn't really something of her, it does happen to sprout out when she interacts with less worthy people. It's not something that she can really control, as she grew up with such an egotistical view on the world. In fact, it's come to the conclusion that Marceline wouldn't live a day without a compliment on her tyranny of people. But yet, she doesn't want to be tyrannical, she wants her people to love her and believes she is doing the right thing. So, this anger rises and controls her when she's speaking with others, who may not be as highly placed as she sees herself.
People's opinions and ideas do not matter to her in the least bit, but anything she comes up with is absolute. Her nature is cold, cruel, and heartless, as a means to show that she can get what she wants without hesitation or fear. But she can fool people into believing that she is amicable and friendly, when in reality, she is the complete and utter opposite. The standards of a queen are always finalized, and nothing can be changed about them, unless the next queen states. Thus, her standards are what hold her together and keep her going; faith in that she can restore darkness to the world. Like previously said, people are only a pawn in her game of life, and they are the pieces that will bring destruction to the world. That's all and ever she will need them for and as soon as she is done with them, she will try to extinguish them from the world.
