Why was Aurora here again? It had just been another afternoon when she lost a bet with her friend Xazinay that if she didn't like the arena, she had no right to complain about it unless she tried it. Being the foolish hot head that she was Aurora had taken that bet, and now she was quickly rising within the ranks of the strongest within its walls, and not because she was fighting fair. Magic was completely allowed in these types of competitions, but with how she functioned within real space, it was all a joke to her, nothing could actually defeat her, or rather none of these people could, those who fought more conventionally, heck even those who cheated and brought an aid were defeated. It was both droll and felt very unfair in her eyes, that some who were so strong simply lost because she could outlast them by simply not truly being there. Still, the crowds seemed to like her right now and the money was good so here she was about to start another match. This time, it was a kid that had challenged her, he was probably some poor farm boy trying to make a name for himself in the only way he knew how, and simply because Aurora's abilities this fight was already decided.
Walking out into the desert toned arena Aurora looked forward at her opponent, he was a young kid, heck he kind of had pots and pans for his weaponry and armor. At least they had given the others actual armor, or they had their magical powers to hold them down, this kid only had a hope and a prayer. This is what made her detest this place, not only did she have to use her power, which she disliked, but sometimes she got this kind of match, and despite parts of her being yelling to cut him down without remorse, the main conscious part of her disliked harming such a kid simply because he didn't know what she could do, and the worst part was that compared to most Aurora wasn't even that strong. She was the little star in the lower ranks, an up and comer, if this kid wanted to fight the real heavyweights, he would need decades of training to do so.
The gunshot which signalled the start of the match rang throughout the arena, and with a wild charge the boy prepared his strongest smash against Aurora. She would take pity upon him and with one downward swing she would smash him into the dirt in one shot. Hopefully all he would get was a bump on the head, and not a thrashing like some of the others here desired to give for no good reason but for some kicks. Speaking of thrashing, boo's started ringing out from the audience as it was just one decisive blow. It wasn't her fault that he had to fight this little kid, it wasn't her fault that she wasn't going to rip him to shreds when he didn't deserve it if these people wished to see a true match maybe they should jump down in here and fight themselves... actually.
"If you want to see a match why don't any of you come down here and fight me unless any of you want to you can't complain about this kid, at least he had more guts than the entire lot of you!"
The booing intensified as she made that claim, boy did she hate this part of the job, even if the pay was good, the people were so fickle.
