Neyvahn climbed up the endless concrete stairs of the building up towards the top, constantly readjusting his slowly deteriorating leather armor. He'd had the old thing for awhile. It was only a matter of time before he gained the necessary funds to replace it. Ney would pay to repair or replace each pad, but leather armor just simply wasn't doing enough for him, not with the kind of punishment he was putting his armor through. However, it would have to manage for this job.
After what felt like ages of taking one step after another, Neyvahn finally got to the top of the stairwell and reached the roof access door. The silver-haired mage pushed on the metal bar attached to the middle of the solid door and swung it open. The overcast sky suddenly sent a cold rush of wind over the roof, cutting right passed Neyvahn. The brisk air did nothing to deter Neyvahn as he walked over to the edge of the building.
There was a good reason as to why it took so long to go up the stairs. The building that Neyvahn was on was carefully chosen because it was the tallest one. Its sturdy foundation and its placing on elevated ground relative to the rest of the city made it the perfect spot to overlook everything.
The reason as to why Neyvahn was overlooking Motor City had to do with yet another job. This time however, it was a terrorist threat. Someone has been leaving threatening messages, then bombing old buildings. For some reason though, every building that was bombed was abandoned or did not hold anything valuable. It was odd to say the least, but Neyvahn wasn't questioning it too much. Right now, his job was to find the trigger man and stop the bombings. Well, that job was half his. He'd be accompanied by a familiar face that he met a while ago. He didn't know how long he'd have to wait for this familiar face though.
The grey cloud-covered sky blew another gust of wind passed Neyvahn as he took in the layout of the city. After a few minutes, Neyvahn turned to the roof access door, half expecting his contact to pop the door open and step into the open air. Whether this would happen or not was uncontrollable by Ney though.
