Job Description: Kenta, a young swordsman with excellent fighting abilities. His swordplay is unmatched among even the highest of mages. This is due to his magic being designed to enhance that swordplay. For example, he is able to increase his speed and awareness while he holds the weapon that he does. He might need to increase his attack speed to string his combos, or maybe pull back his weapon when it is out of his reach. Swordplay magic is heavily reliant on the blade that the user has, and without that sword, they are next to nothing in combat. With 17 years of life in him, he has dedicated his whole life around training to become a better mage, and making sure his 15 year old sister is safe as well. A very caring brother, a great ally, a versatile strategist, yet he is not the brightest when it comes to priorities. Though he means well, the risks he takes for the smallest things are not worth the trouble, and he may place those who are with him in danger. While working with him, you may experience a little difficulty while keeping him in check. He can take 10 S ranked hits before being knocked out of commission. Every hit he lands deals S ranked damage.
Yuka, little sister of Kenta. She doesn't really care to use magic, but instead, carry around a giant mace and wipe out loads of enemies with one giant swing of it. This being said, she is not very good with defenses, and even less at evasion. A berserker might not be the best term for her either, since her attack speed is not that high either. This is due to the heavy weight of her mace. Though she may not be the most useful in combat, she is a rather bright child as well as innocent. She knows how to speak to others in a way to obtain information, she can calculate distances and analyze possible scenarios like no other. This young lady is even capable to keeping track of time with her head. For example, she knows how long she has been living by the minute. She isn't as risky or desperate as her brother, nor does she feel that she needs much protection while her mace is by her side. Though a little bit carefree and playful since she just barely got out of being a child, she is important for cases in which one must heavily think. She can take 5 S ranked hits before being knocked out of commission. Every hit she lands inflicts 2 S ranked hits.
There is a new threat in the land of Fiore, and the traces of it come from the core of Motor City. Kenta and Yuka thought it would be a great chance to practice fighting alongside a few mages, since they want to become Rune Knights when they grow up. So they decided to put up a job application all around in order to at least have one other mage assist them. The goal for them is to investigate and possibly eliminate this threat. Your objective is to guard them, making sure that the both of them come out of this alive, and destroy the source of all of the new threat before it causes anymore havoc. However, don't expect things to go as planned, there is no data on the new threat except for the fact that it has taken countless numbers of lives already. This can't be proven either, since they just go missing, no evidence of their deaths either. All the missing people seem to connect to one final result, and one cause only. Investigate Motor City and finish the job not many have been able to.
Enemies:
Weak: Disturbance: The air around you begins to vibrate, messing with your senses. A weird feeling as you are getting closer to the cause of all the trouble. Keep walking, don't let it bother you. It doesn't really do anything to you, nothing too crucial and out of the ordinary.
Normal: Nexile Troops (5x): Machines that are nothing too special in combat. They only appear while you are very near, and they will guard their master at all costs. They are very resistant to attacks, since they were designed to be more like distractions instead of actual threats. Each one takes 3 S rank hits to defeat. Each Troop inflicts S rank damage for each hit. They are armed with their bodies only, just ramming into enemies on foot.
Strong: Sacrifice: This is where you lose someone in your party. The cost of awakening the Mecha Project is a life of a human. This is not known, and unknowingly, Kenta and Yuka will be held up into the air, surrounded by white bubbles around their body. The first bubble to be touched will pop, freeing the one inside of it out. The other will remain shut, unable to be broken, and after a few seconds, will shatter, taking itself and everything in it out in an explosion, one designed to cut existence itself. You must choose between Yuka and Kenta.
If you chose Kenta to live: He will live, but at the sight of seeing his sister die, and the fact that he knew that you were able to save her, not really get along with you too well. After all, he did dedicate himself to protecting his little sister, and now that's gone. Though he is a much better fighter, he won't get along with you so much anymore, and will even go so far as to blame you for her demise. Don't expect him to work so well with you when fighting the Mecha Project.
If you chose Yuka to live: She will live, and at the sight of seeing her brother die, she will be heavily angered. Her skills are heavily increased in combat, and will do anything to see the Mecha Project destroyed. Her only mission is to avenge her brother, she won't be too innocent anymore. A much better ally in combat, but she won't be thinking as logically as she did before. Careful not to be in the way of her mace.
*If a Strong Monster roll is rolled already, if you roll another one, it becomes a Boss monster roll.
Boss: Mecha Project: Genocide: You have woken a sleeping giant. This machine lies within the core of Motor City, harnessing it's power from those who have lost their lives in combat with this. It was designed by Nexile, a group that wanted to build a monarch. This was a creation that was designed to be a branch for the Nexile project that becomes the monarch of the world. Mecha Project: Genocide, has five rankings based on the number lives it has taken away. You found it at it's final stage, lucky you. This machine has placed over 4,500 people to their graves while in combat with them. Now it's up to you to destroy such a machine. This project is a humanoid sort of robot, with the same mentality and calculations that a regular human would. However, it comes armed with a variety of weapons for it to play with, as well as such thick armor for damage mitigation. It takes 25 S ranked hits to finish this machine off and destroy it, once and for all. Each hit it lands inflicts 2 S ranked hits worth of damage.- Mech Armor Abilities:
New Life: For every 5 posts in combat, 2 S ranked hits worth of damage is healed, and the next attack to hit it will do no damage, despite the rank of the attack.
- Weapons:
The rule for Mecha Project: Genocide, is that it may have only one weapon equipped at a time.
Fortunes Treasure: A lucky blade designed to put all other enemies and allies all the same to shame. The wielder gains 50% awareness and 50% speed, allowing them to see attacks easily, then dodge them just as easily.
Headsman Ax: A two-handed weapon with a blade so sharp, it could cut into diamond like paper. This blade doubles the Mecha Project: Genocides power. So now it inflicts 4 S ranked hits instead of the regular 2.
Bound Scythe: The Scythe is reeking of death, this weapon took so many lives away. It gains the effects of the previous 2 weapons at the same time. Mecha Project: Genocide takes 1 S rank worth of damage for each post it wields this weapon.
*If this is rolled before the Strong monster dice was rolled in the thread, this roll becomes a Strong monster roll.*
Reward: In the end, you could only bring one back. The one you brought back has to accept moving on, and this experience taught them to be stronger. They will thank you for at least saving their life, regardless of how they feel. And they will reward you the amount of money that they promised.
100,000 Jewels and an Extra S rank worth of Exp.
made by elyx
I know the Nexile. They have done some rather extreme things when creating a monarch. I heard there was a new one that went by the name, Max. His file was rather interesting, I can't see why he would be abandoned. Elyx would tell Ignite, who was looking over his shoulder to read the small sheet of paper on his desk. They were both prepared to fight whatever was causing so many deaths, though knowing the beasts that the Nexile have made before, it only gets stronger as time passes. And though they were a little unprepared, they took the job as soon as they got it. They did not need to let the monarch actually have any power. These two pay quite a decent price, eh? 100,000 jewels and I'll have its tail brought back to the clients as well. She would announce proudly, rather loudly considering she was right next to his ear. Her chin rested on his shoulder now, so damn lazy she was. Elyx would not give her any attention for that, but instead point to a certain detail that did bother him. Shackles. Yeah, but they want to come along with us. Meaning we have to protect them as well, and that job is beyond hard to deal with, no matter the difficulty of the job. He would explain, crossing his arms before leaning back against the chair he was sitting in. Or throne rather since that was what it was built to be. Ignite would get off from his shoulder before looking towards the door. Regardless, we have no time to be thinking about this. We need to find them, any idea of where they might be again?
A good question, considering the two of them had never gone to motor city. Hell, they did not even have the slightest clue of where the place might have been. They'd have to find Nimpha first, she could lead them down a path that would bring them to the city. Nimpha did not update her status as to when she might be away, so she had to be available, right? And so he would press his palms flat against the surface of the table, pushing himself onto his feet before looking over to the door. We are going to Motor City. But first, we are going to visit my old friend, Nimpha. He'd explain before walking and entering the door of his office. Ignite would follow, and the pair would travel out of the guild hall, and to the borders of Black Rose. No need to waste any time. The treasure hunter they were looking for was about thirty minutes away at walking speed. With a smile on his face, he remembered the bubbly laughed that the pinkette would emit from her lips every time she said something, followed up by a "Happy happy" or a "Lucky lucky" phrase right after the sentence. Every word she let out was sweet, and she brought great luck to herself and anyone she traveled with.
