Abilities:
- D-Rank:
- Name: Abyss Seal
Rank: D
Description: Umbra emits a sound pulse from its body, similar to that of a resounding gong. All those within a 25 meter radius have their abilities on their magic and weapons disabled when engaging in combat. Deals no damage to anyone within the range.
Strengths:- Leaves all those who hear the gong find themselves unable to use their UA's from their primary magic, secondary magic, tertiary magic and weapon abilities.
Weaknesses:- Does not cancel out or stop the use of spells
- Doesn't effect deaf characters
- Duration is 3 posts, cooldown of 4 posts
- Leaves all those who hear the gong find themselves unable to use their UA's from their primary magic, secondary magic, tertiary magic and weapon abilities.
- C-Rank:
- Name: Release
Rank: C
Description: Umbra raises both of its arm-like wings straight into the air before bringing it down to create a large flow of abyss energy taking on the form of a murder of crows as they begin to circle around Umbra before surrounding and assaulting a target within 35m for damage over time, dealing 50% C-Rank damage on the first post and dealing 25% damage over the next 4 posts and partially blinding the target due to the large number of crows obscuring their vision. This ability has a 2 post cooldown after the first strike
Strengths:- Blinds a target for 2 posts
Weaknesses:- AoE attacks dispurse the crows and ends the DoT quickly
- Any sort of large wind will drive the crows away
- Blinds a target for 2 posts
- B-Rank:
- Name: Abyss Rupture
Rank: B
Description: Umbra slams its claws on the ground or moving to touch a target, forcing abyss power into whatever it touches, overloading it to the point where abyss energy explodes from within them. If used on the ground it causes the ground to explode and rupture with abyss energy, damaging all within a 50m radius around the point of contact and tainting the ground black. Causes rotting if used on a specific target, making them take 15% more damage from all attacks abyss-based attacks and negating armor damage absorption (if wearing any armor)
Strengths:- Rotting effect lasts 3 posts
Weaknesses:- Damages allies in the AoE effect as well as enemies
- Cooldown of 5 posts
- Rotting effect lasts 3 posts
- A-Rank:
- Name: Abyss Intervention
Rank: A
Description: Umbra emits a pulse similar to its Abyss Seal, but instead of sealing the abilities of those within its area of effect, it "borrow's" them at half their effectiveness for a limited duration. All those which Umbra deems enemies have their passive and active abilities negated and a similar form of the ability at half its power is placed upon Umbra as a buff. Lasts 8 posts, cooldown of 10 posts, 80m effective radius.
Strengths:- Good against those who rely on their abilities
Weaknesses:- Only effects buff based abilities (eg: strength buff, sight buff, sense buff, etc...)
- Umbra never knows what sort of abilities it'll get, or how to use them unless he's seen them in action.
- Good against those who rely on their abilities
- S-Rank:
- Name: Age of the Deep
Rank: S
Description: Umbra firmly plants its claws into the ground as dark water begins to flood the area, causing Umbra to slowly sink into its depths along with any and all things within a 100m spherical area, tendrils of water sprouting out from the depths and latching on to any skyward foes to pull them with tremendous force into the deep, dark waters of the Abyss. Those who find themselves within the Abyss water are capable of breathing, however they are unable to use any spells lower than that of A-Rank or those that enhance their movement/change their position, and any spells they do cast cost them an extra 50% more than the regular spell cost. (eg: A-Rank mages using an A-Rank spell will cost them 30% mana instead of 20% mana) The ability lasts for 5 posts, each post that enemies are in the Abyss water they take 35% S-Rank damage. Allies in the water are unharmed, however they suffer the same debuffs.
Strengths:- Good for clearing a large area
Weaknesses:- Allies can be caught in the area
- Cooldown of 8 posts
- Good for clearing a large area
- H-Rank:
- Name: Abyss Cocoon
Rank: H
Description: Umbra places a hand to its chest over where the heart of a human would reside, causing the area to glow a dark purple at its touch. Bringing its hand away the glow fades from its chest only to have a small yet powerful black flame that is unable to be extinguished within its grasp. It then forces the flame into the ground beneath it, causing it to rumble and bubble at the sudden heat before settling down. In the next post the ground where the flame was placed will begin to rumble again before black sludge erupts from that very spot, shaping itself to roughly the same size as Umbra before catching flame and shifting itself into a black abyss striken copy of Umbra, complete with whatever weapon it has equipped at the time the flame was put into the ground. This Abyss Umbra is exactly like Umbra in every way, capable of using one of her abilities on a separate cooldown save for Abyss Cocoon as it is incapable of creating another clone of itself. The clone lasts for 12 posts and only has 75% of the max health of the original. Can be created with 100% max health if the flame is left in the ground for 5 posts. Can only be used once per thread.
Strengths:- Creates an abyss copy of Umbra with separate cooldowns with its abilities
Weaknesses:- Can only be used once per thread
- Takes 1 post to charge and take effect
- Has all the same weaknesses as the original
- Cannot use the H-Rank ability of the original
- Creates an abyss copy of Umbra with separate cooldowns with its abilities
- Pet Items:
Name: Caedis
Rank: Artifact+
Type: Horns
Description:- Spoiler:
- Useful in close-range combat
Weaknesses:- Near useless in long-ranged combat
- Can be broken off when durability reaches 10HP or lower
Abilities:- Ability:
Name: Blaze of the Abyss
Rank: User Ranked (caps at A)
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 3 posts (+2 posts above D)
Description: A ball of abyss energy forms between the gap between the horns of Caedis, building in power to the point where it appears to be coated in flames before a beam of pure abyss energy is shot in a straight line at whatever is within its line of site at a speed of 80m/s for a range of 80m, exploding upon contact with anything and capable of being sustained long enough to swipe its head around for a large area of effect. The point at which the energy comes into contact with the ground causes an eruption of a large wall of abyss blaze which causes damage to all those it comes into contact with before suddenly cutting off. All those hit are dealt with a rotting status effect which causes the target to take 10% more damage (+15% for every rank after D, caps at 50%) from all abyss-based attacks
Strengths:- Instant long range attack
Weaknesses:- Predictable due to the large energy ball that signifies that an attack is incoming
- Damages allies in the area of effect
- Instant long range attack
- Ability 2:
Name: Abyss Hunter
Rank: User Ranked (caps at S)
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 3 posts (+2 posts above D)
Description: Caedis' horns become wrapped in abyssal energy, making its way down Umbra's neck, back and begins to swirl as a vortex around Umbra's tail to show the high power this attack wields. The energy surrounding her tail grows and expands into many points, curving into the shape of a branching sword as a single red glowing cross appears down the center of the energy. This ability increases the range at which Umbra can reach with a tail swipe greatly whilst also increasing the damage it can deal. Allows the weapon to reach up to 80m away with one swing and deal user ranked damage to all those it hits (caps at S)
Strengths:- Great at clearing out large groups of enemies
Weaknesses:- Clear distinction that an attack is incoming
- Energy can be distorted around with energy of equal or greater strength (eg: electricity, pure energy, etc..)
- Great at clearing out large groups of enemies
Name: Abyss Protection
Rank: Artifact+
Type: Armor
Description: Scales specifically designed to endure the wrath of the abyss that take on the perils of the abyss, forever adapting and repairing itself. After living in The Abyss for a large amount of time these scales allow Umbra an extra 50% resistance to darkness-based abilities on top of the 50% damage resistance.- Spoiler:
- Provides a passive regen to the armor, allowing it to regenerate itself.
Weaknesses:- No offensive properties
- Due to it being Umbra's scales, whilst it may take less damage it still feels as though it is being struck with the full force.
Abilities:
Regenerative Scales: Due to its regenerative abilities, the armor is capable of regenerating and fixing itself for 5% of its durability per post
Abyss Scales: Umbra's scales not only protect it from the dangers of the abyss, it strengthened her muscle and bone structure to a similar durability to that of the ancient beings who were said to be nigh-indestructable, increasing Umbra's health, strength, and speed by 35%.
