    Job Details:

    1

The Blacksteel Keep a tower of dread, far from Fiore where Mashyuu resided, far from a place that used magic in their daily lives. Prison to those considered traitors and Heretic's even if these men were simply traders and merchants from far away lands.

To whom it may concern, from the realm of Seven.
Recently our best trader a Raccoon named Remy traveled to Bellum and was accosted there. He managed to get a letter out to us stating he was alive but being taken to Blacksteel Keep. This man hold vital information to our realm and we need him freed before he is killed. We reach out to you the members of Sabertooth, who's renown for being able to defeat armies with a single Wizard, to help us in our time of need. while we understand if you help us, that wizard will never be safe in Bellum we will reward you with no less than Forty thousand Jewels and teach you how to use a spell from our land. All we ask is that you aid our Wizard Davey the Duck, a Holy Wizard or as we call him, a Cleric, in freeing our friend before he is killed.

Mashyuu rolled up the paper after he read it again, he and Hoseki, his new ally and friend who had agreed to let Mashyuu teach him about the world in exchange for the Dragon's aid in combat. On the Dragon's back, Davey, held onto Mashyuu tightly, his oaken staff wrapped around Mashyu's waist like it was the only thing keeping him from falling over. Mashyuu constantly glanced back at the duck with a furrowed bow. He had no idea the Cleric was going to be so afraid of every little thing that had happened between the ride from Seven to the Keep, but Mashyuu needed him to actually show the way and identify this man. Granted he was a raccoon and it shouldn't be to hard to find him.

Hoseki touched down on the ground among a small outcropping of trees at sunset. Off in the distance, torches lit up the sky, slowly drifting from one end of the keep to the other while Mashyuu, Davey and Hoseki watched the keep carefully. "Sure are a lot of em... Your leaders were right to ask Sabertooth for help. Just stay on Hoseki once we get in there and he will keep you safe, I'll handle the big stuff." Mashyuu suggested and held his right arm up. The red sleeve of his shirt ran out of the shoulder of his mothers grey jacket and down till it hit his red and black gloves. His brown hair flew up into the air and held a spiked position. "Hoseki my friend, are you ready for our first job together?" Mashyuu asked in the language of Dragons while he stepped out of the tree line and started to head for the building, expecting to storm the place. Suddenly he felt a hand and claw yank him back and pull the Wizard into the trees. Mashyuu plopped down on his rear and glared at the dragon and duck who were now glaring at him. "Are you trying to get killed? Look at em all. Going in half cocked like that is gonna get you shot before you even make it to the door!" Davey nearly screamed while Mashyuu pulled himself up and glared at the duck.

Light blue eyes furrowed from looking at the Duck to Hoseki, and back to the Davey. "Fine. Look, a storm is coming." Mashyuu said while holding out his palm and letting the first of many rain drops hit him. Luckily it wasn't a magical rain or Mashyuu would have been in real trouble. "When the first bolt of lightning crashes down I'll transform and follow it down into a guard, then start attacking, I'll stay low and be swift, raising the gate so you guys can get through and meet up with me." Mashyuu reasoned with his two allies.

Hoseki and Davey looked at each other and shortly after Davey raised his hands up in defeat and tossed a glance back at the Keep. "All right.... at least I don't have to fight." He groaned. Mashyuu simply lifted his brow and glanced back at the Keep. Without a word said he rushed the Keep once again, his black boots padding across the dirt road while sparks jumped off his body. "Lightning Leap." He whispered to activate the magic in his mothers jacket. A crash of lightning smashed into the front of the keep then Mashyuu jumped up, became a bolt of electricity and smashed into a guard standing near the front gate, just a single story above the gate where the leaver to raise the mass of metal rested. The guard at the gate flew backwards and hit a brick wall as Mashyuu crashed into him and the guard slumped to the ground in a massive heap.

Another guard, standing near by watched his friend get smashed into the wall and drew a sword. He was about to shout something when Mashyuu pulled his right arm back and threw a bolt of electricity into the man's chest, causing him to convulse in the rain. Mashyuu raced forward and jumped up, his black jean covered knee smashed into the guards jaw and knocked him out cold. Mashyuu used his momentum to kick off the knocked out guard and spun, coming to a land at the leaver. With an effortless tug, Mashyuu pulled the leaver and raised the gate for his friends while he watched for the other guards to see if they noticed anything.

The barred gate slid up, click by click until it was hanging on the wall on Mashyuu's side. His sky blue eyes glanced up the Keep to see if anyone had noticed the fight. What was once many fires from torches had either been put out by the rain that was coming or the guards had noticed and moved in to attack Mashyuu. The Earth Slayer looked down at a chains that ran to the ground and jumped. His palms grasped the chain and slid down the metal until he landed safely at Hoseki and Davey's side. Mashyuu lifted his palms up and shrugged his shoulders while looking at Davey and strolling inside the keep at his allies side.

Inside the Keep, a set of steps ran up to Mashyuu's right, and another ran down on Mashyuu's left. Davey glared at the stair cases and rubbed his long beak. "We should go down and just get Remy then leave." Davey suggested. Mashyuu let his brow furrow for a moment then he shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, maybe. I can block off the steps if needed. At least until we come back around. Problem is, if the others find out they could all wait at the stairs to attack if we can't get out of here." Mashyuu responded. He started to step down the stairs, taking the lead down into the dark dungeon of Blackiron Keep. Followed by Hoseki and Davey, Mashyuu came to a landing with rows of doors and worse than that, solders who were ready to attack...

The Earth using Wizard reached backwards and waved his hand around, forcing the steps behind them to rise up and block off the entrance that the group came from. Hoseki took stock of the situation and shook Davey off his back, letting his wings spread wide then he huffed hard, about to attack. Soldiers drew their weapons and stepped into a position to show they were ready to attack. Davey lifted his staff and prepared to cast a spell if needed and assured Mashyuu. "If we find Remy I can get us out of here, don't you worry about that."

Mashyuu wasted no time in his attack, if he were going to be labeled a criminal in this kingdom me might as well go all out. But before he could even move Hoseki took a large step forward and opened his sharp toothed mouth. "Gem Dragon's ROAR!" He called out and a beam of light erupted from his mouth. Mashyuu had never seen Hoseki use his roar before and the result made Mashyuu take a step back to avoid being hit by the blast. The beam of light that erupted from Hoseki's mouth struck the weak guard standing in front of Hoskei then to everyone's surprise bounced and smashed into the guards partner, then behind the men and struck two more men, only to miss the last two men in rank as they managed to duck the blast that continued to bounce around until the beam vanished. When the light beam cleared the two front rank men fell to their knees while their eyes rolled back and they passed out. Mashyuu, Davey and the other guards all remained silent for a moment then decided that attacking was the best course of action.

The guards rushed and so did Mashyuu, a wide grin on his face as the two front ranking men brought swords up and placed small round shields in front of them. Mashyuu flipped his right hand and summoned his phantom Sword his palm. A single blade came down at Mashyuu's face, only to have it blocked by his own weapon. He grinned wide at his foe until a small shield slammed hard into Mashyuu's face and he recoiled in shocked pain. "Bah, cheap blow!" He called out and drew a deep breath. Mashyuu drew his left hand over the bruise on his lip that the guards noticed had actually rang out as if the shield had smashed into metal. Slowly Mashyuu raised his left hand and let it shimmer into a magical rune. "Iron Dragon's Spiked Shield!" He shouted out. His arm warped into a spiked shield that was a little bigger than the guards. The men slashed their swords down at Mashyuu, only to have the weapons blocked and caught by Mashyuu's new shield. With a swift twist of his blade down and across the Earth Wizard drove both men backwards. They brought their shields down and for their efforts Mashyuu rewarded them by firing a blast of magical power from the gun barrels into the chest of each of the guards.

Both guards were only protected by their armor, barely able to absorb the blow that Mashyuu's weapon had sent into them. The Earth Wizard knew that he couldn't possibly use the gun again at the moment, seeing as it needed a cool down to activate again. The brown haired Wizard slid a step back, his legs going shoulder width apart as he entered his mountain stance and waited for the men to attack Mashyuu again. Both men whipped their blades around in the narrow passage and attacked again. Mashyuu lifted his shield, blocking one strike while he jabbed his blade out and drove his second foe back a step. In the same motion Mashyuu pulled his right hand back, tossed his sword back and let sparks fly off his jacket. Punching the air in front of him Mashyuu blasted the man he had drove back with a blast of golden electricity. "Thunder Flash!" He shouted. The blast smashed through the man wearing silvered chain link armor and shocked him hard. The Guard fell to a knee, just as Mashyuu caught is sword. Hoseki roared, drawing everyone's attention while a beam of hard light smashed from Davey's staff into the guard on one knee, knocking him onto his back, leaving him out cold.

The knight Mashyuu was still sparring with glared at the Wizard and lifted his sword to his helmet covered face, muttering something behind his mask and causing his blade to light up. Mashyuu tilted his head in confusion for just a moment while Ux warned Mashyuu to block. Swiftly Mashyuu stepped up in front of the others, lifting his arm to defend his team. The Knight slashed his sword out and hit Mashyuu with a shock wave that shattered his shied. The attack caused Mashyuu's spikes to launch out and dig into the Knight's body, cutting through his armor in a singe blast. The knight was stunned from the overwhelming blast that had exposed his body. Mashyuu strode upon the man and opened his mouth, eating the Knights sword in one large bite. "And you're done here." Mashyuu said, smacking the man in the face with the flat end of his sword and knocking him out. All that remained were the two leaders of this particular unit of guards, both men garbed in black full plate armor with a red cloth going over their chests that had a large black cross on the front. Bucket like helms covered their faces and each man carried a tower shield and spiked mace, commonly known as a morning star.

Mashyuu and Kanix (Date Night Part 4) in: The Heretic! Empty Re: Mashyuu and Kanix (Date Night Part 4) in: The Heretic!

Post by Guest 3rd August 2016, 12:51 pm

    Holy fire burns again
the magic circle is all around it, burning like the innocence of love

The wind grazed along ashen hair, twisting it in its wild dance through the empty atmosphere as it spiraled away. Silent feet carried an elegant, young woman over coarse masonry, dirtied and beaten from years of no shoes. She was a shadow among shadows, a dark silhouette masked by the unlit space that surrounded her slender form. From time to time, she would stop, hush something at her feet, then dash forward again before pausing once more. As she ran along the bridge between keeps, the woman stopped only when she reached the other side and stood before Blacksteel Keep. Now standing in front of a large, wooden door, she reached forward and grasped the black iron handle, opening the gateway. It harshly creaked open at her touch, the sound of the door slamming against the stone wall echoing into the empty darkness.

Glancing away from the entrance, she darted over to the edge of the wall and peered down, staring at something below. Extending an arm forward, she beckoned with her wrist for whatever it was below her to rise up and perch on the roof of Blacksteel Keep. A heavy beat of wings sounded in the silence, mimicking that of thunder rolling through the sky shortly after lightning having struck. Another figure peeled itself from the shadows, barely noticable with its black bodice enveloped by the dark gray skies. It twisted backward and swooped toward the keep's entrance, only to roost on the block cutouts of the circular building. Ruffling the contents of its body, one could soon make out that it was a giant bird resting on the rooftop of the keep. Unexpectly, the creature let out a sound that embodied a terrified woman's scream mixed with nails on a chalkboard.

Harshly, she shushed the bird but left it there to roost while she slithered into the shadows of the keep's belly. She crept down the long stairway that spiraled to the first level, where she was met with another staircase that led farther down. However, this staircase had a rather strange appearance, as it looked as if it had been lifted by unnatural means. How was she meant to get down there when the stairwell was nearly blocked by its own self from unknown workings? Shifting her feet along the ground, she felt her way around the tiny room, getting a feeling of what was around her. Unfortunately, it was all empty space, nothing that could help her proficiently in removing some of the stair's steps. Sighing, Kanix moved back to the entrance of the stairs and shifted her right foot forward, then brought her right hand own in front of her.

Ice slithered from the tip of her right foot's toes to the stairwell that was encased by its own steps as a means of blockage. The ice grew in small spikes as charged toward the entrance, slamming into the closed opening and freezing what was there. When all of it was frozen, Kanix straightened her stance and raised both of her hands above her head. A series of light beams shot up from the ground around the staircase until it struck the entryway and broke a hole. As soon as an opening was heard crumbling away, Kanix cancelled the spell and leapt forward, disappearing down the newly made rabbithole. She landed heavily onto her feet, kicking up dust that had been settled on the stone flooring and entering the battle scene. Voices rocketed against her eardrums, where she could pick out two unfamiliar voices beside a familiar voice and many other unknown ones.

Standing in the back, she listened as a battle ensued between the Pergrande knights and Mashyuu, Hoseki, and Davey. A loud crashing sound emitted in the air, forcing her to cover her airs to mute the deafening noise of Hoseki's roar. Gritting her teeth, she breathed in deeply once the roar ended and looked back to the fightening at hand. Her senses went wild with what was going on, unable to pick out magic power from the next as they mixed and mingled. Mashyuu's magical essence was the only one that she was capable of plucking out of the crowd of magic users. She did not want to interfere with the current situation, standing off to the side as they battled the mix of Pergrande men. However, the second that a majority of the battle was over, Kanix found her feet working on their own to rush the leaders.

The paladins were quicker on their feet than she had expected, sidestepping her attack and sending her skidding to a halt. She had stumbled to her buttox, dust kicked up from her sliding across the ground and a raw back from the action. Groaning, Kanix rolled to her side and weakly lifted herself back to her feet, only to have one snagged out from under her. A surprised cry released itself from the depths of her innards as she now hung upside-down by the hand of one of the paladins. Her broadcloth fell over her bodice, covering the center of her torso, down to the tip of her forehead, and her necklace slipped off her chest, clattering to the ground. Blindly, she swung a fist in any direction that she could until it connected with the one of the paladin's crotches. As expected, the one holding her captive buckled at his knees and released his grip on her, letting her drop to the ground.

She coughed the second her body connected with the floor, but rose to her feet in a matter of seconds, so as not to be taken advantage of again. With one paladin down for a bit, she focused her attention on the other, who was standing there, now in fear. One fell swoop of her feet and the paladin was on the ground like her partner, but grappled to her feet once she fell. Drawing out her sword, the woman charged Kanix, only to have her attack thwarted by the guild master as it came baring own on her staff. Using both her hand, she shoved the staff up and over her head, pushing the sword off it and out of the paladin's hands. The weapon clattered to the ground with a noise of metal hitting stone, leaving her opponent now defenseless against her. Kanix drew out her water whip, sending it flying toward the woman and entrapping her in the clear liquid.

A flick of her wrist and the paladin was brought closer to her before being quickly thrown to the side and into the wall. The room emitted with a loud crashing sound as her opponent collided with the wall, sliding to the floor below her. Her head lolled to the side, remaining unmoving and left Kanix wondering if the paladin would get back to her feet. When no move was made, she turned around to the paladin, who was still gripping his groin out of agony. She grinned wildly at the man, then rammed her foot into the man's chin, flinging him backward and crashing into the wall as well. Feeling the vibrations of the man's landing allowed for her to sense where he had crashed into the wall and for another attack. Stepping forward, a blaze of fire was sent from her fist as it came slamming toward the paladin's helm and set it afire.

She huffed lightly and dusted her hands off on her thighs, smirking as the two paladins were now unconscious on the ground. Crossing her arms over her chest, she would spin on her heel to face Mashyuu and his two companions on the mission. "I guess I came in the nick of time," she chuckled, teasing the Sabertooth mage and sticking her tongue out at him. "They should be knocked out for a while, so if you want to get going and head down to the dungeon area, I suggest we go now. To be honest, I don't know how much time we have before these two bimbos wake up and notice that we're gone. On top of that, I'm surprised they haven't sounded the alarm on you yet. . . you do know taking this job will mark you as a criminal? Isn't that like a taboo for those Rising Stars that you are? Might leave a bad mark on your reputation and all."

With that being said, Kanix let her head roll around on the joints of her neck, as if she was looking for something specific. A shift of her feet and it was like a spark had ignited in the single blue optic settled on her features, and she turned on her heels again. Leading the way down the corridor, the woman searched for the door that would lead them down into the dungeon. If any luck, nothing would run by them and they wouldn't run into anymore Pergrande army men as they had earlier. Well, she had been lucky enough to say she hadn't run into any, as she had encountered Mashyuu with them first. "Stay on the down-low, stay quiet, and make sure that whatever you do does not draw attention to yourself. This place has to be jam packed with guards, considering the fact that this is a prison for all those who went against Pergrande orders."

Her hands trailed along the walls of the hallway, fingers scraping along the stones, feeling each of their curvature. Doing so allowed for the blind magus to get a feel of her surroundings, to make an image in her head as she moved. No vibrations in the ground meant that no guards were coming, which made her curious to know if there were any down there. With the amount of guards that had been upstairs, perhaps there wasn't a single one down in the dungeons at all. A jingle echoed into the air, breaking Kanix's concentration and as she realized that her fingers had touched keys. Yet, when she listened more and used her senses to feel her surroundings, a doorway wasn't even an option. It was as if the keys were some sort of decoy, like the guards knew members of guilds would come to save their own kind.

"Hey, Mashy, do you ever get that feeling that this place is far more trapped than you think it's going to be?" she inquired. Her hand wrapped around the outlandishly sized key loop, pulling it off its hook and storing it in her deerskin pouch. "I understand that it's just an empty hallway, but I can't help to get the feeling that something's not right here." A tingle ran down her spine, like her instincts were telling her the hallway was not the place to be at the time. However, this one time, she disregarded the feeling, kept the keys, and continued on down the corridor to the dungeons. It had to be in her head; otherwise, what was meant to happen to them in the empty hall if nothing did when she grabbed the key? Just like that, a groaning sound could be heard and from underneath Kanix's feet, the floor was swept away, revealing a trap door.

A scream of terror irrupted from her lips as she slid down the ramp of the trap door that led down into the exact place they needed to be. Her ass landed on the ground with a harsh thump and she let out a groan of pain, moving to rub her butt sorely. "Damn, I wasn't expecting that to happen," she muttered to herself, clambering to her feet and walking forward. However, as she walked forward, she was not entirely aware of what was in her surroundings and rammed into bars. Scrunching her eyebrows together, the woman reached a hand forward and wrapped slender fingers around cell bars. Her arm pulled back, jangling the metal to see how tough it was, and realizing that it didn't budge if at all. "Well, this is wonderful. . . How the hell am I supposed to get out of this when I can't even bend metal at all?"

Kicking her foot forward, the magus sent a blast of fire in the direction of the cell bars, only to have it skim through them unharmed. The bars were made of a type of metal that didn't easily melt at the touch of blazing fire, which concerned her. She didn't know if Mashyuu had fallen down with her either, as it was pretty silent after she had fallen down the hole. Gripping her other hand around another bar, she shook the bars as harshly as she could, resulting in a slight budge. "All right, so they aren't as sturdy as I thought they originally were, so that's a good thing, I just have to figure out what to do." Pulling one of her hands away from the bars, she summoned a small pool of water into her palm and coated it on the bar. After which, the magus changed the temperature of the water until it froze on the bar, the curled her hand into a fist, shattering the metal.

With a quick whip of his blade Mashyuu was about to step forward to fight when the Earth Wizard's nostrils flared up. He hadn't noticed her during the fight, he was having to much fun to noticed anyone else in the fight. But he couldn't mistake that scent anywhere. "My girl's here..." He whispered under his breath, only to have Kanix rush past him at the two female Paladins. Each of the women side stepped Kanix and caused her to slide to the ground and start to fight. Mashyuu rushed one Paladin, her morning star came down on Mashyuu's sword, shattering the weapon in one blow. He could feel his hand go numb from the vibrations that rocketed through his broken blade and it's handle.

The Slayer lifted his left arm, blocking the Paladins shield bash but was knocked backwards hard from the force of the blow. Mashyuu caught himself to see one Paladin go down from the nasty shot Kanix Delivered. Before Mashyuu could even get back in the fight the Raven haired beauty was fighting again. The Earthen Wizard decided to give himself a break and he returned to the side of Hoseki and Davey. The Dragon twisted it's head to Mashyuu's side and spoke in the Draconic language. "Who is she? She smells a little like you, and you like her." Placing his hand in front of his face Mashyuu stifled a laugh and glanced at the Dragon. "My friends, that is the love of my life and the mother of my daughter. Kanix. The Guild Master of Fairy Tail and really a good person even if she is running a dark guild." Mashyuu responded.

When the battle was over Mashyuu shrugged his shoulders. "You didn't hear? I'm not a rising Star anymore. I'm just Mashyuu, Ace of Sabertooth and A ranked Wizard. Besides helping these guys out is a good cause. And this is over seas, I'll be okay back home." He responded to his love as he walked up to her and wrapped his large leather covered arms around her waist for a warm hug. "It's good to see you baby. How's our kid doing?" He asked and let her go. While she started to ask about the keys and the such Mashyuu knocked on the walls, feeling the vibrations he made and swiftly realized that the walls were all solid, no rooms laid behind any of the doors. "The doors are fakes." Mashyuu responded softly while he walked over to her necklace and picked it up.

Suddenly the ground rumbled under the pair and the Kanix's cute voice cried out in a shrill tone. Mashyuu looked back and saw she had taken a spill down a flight of stairs. Hoseki and Davey rushed to the steps while Mashyuu jumped down the steps to help the blind woman. The moment he made his way down to her side he realized she was already at the bars before the pair. "Where's the eye I got you?" Mashyuu asked while he walked up to the metal bars that Kanix had just started to shatter. He hadn't seen Kanix in a while but she was just as beautiful as he remembered. He took a deep breath and winked at the woman while the others came down the steps. "By the way, the duck is Davey, a holy healing Wizard, and the Dragon is my newly hatched friend Hoseki. Oh and baby you are gonna run out of magic power freezing the bars and breaking them one at a time. Let me... I learned a few new tricks." Mashyuu joked and started to eat the metal bars that blocked their path.

As Mashyuu ate, Hoseki snaked up to Kanix and looked her in the eye. He had never met a blind person before but was very curious. "You used to have two eyes? What happened? Can you no longer see?" He asked. The line of questions brought Mashyuu's attention back to the Dragon and he glared at the Dragon. "Hoseki, that is rude to ask." He scolded the Dragon and went back to eating. Davey waddled up to the side of Mashyuu and Kanix, slipping through the bars and measuring the space Mashyuu had created. The Wizard then held the staff up as if he was measuring the Dragon. "Hoseki can fit, lets go. I don't want those guys coming back." Davey complained. Mashyuu stopped eating and guided Kanix through the bars while lifting her fingers to touch his face. "Connect so you can see." He suggested to the woman. Not wanting his love to get caught off guard. His free hand snaked around her neck and clasped her necklace back around her so that she wasn't without it. "You need a better handle on this thing, it keeps falling off."

The room the group stood in was massive, three halls, one on each of the stone walls ran tightly, allowing for only a single file walk in either direction. Mashyuu's nose flared as he sniffed deeply. "Smells terrible in here. Look, you go down that hall with Davey, I'll go down this one with Hoseki." He suggested. Mashyuu walked over to Hoseki and grabbed a massive red and blue war hammer from the side of the Dragon, a gift given to him on a job he and Kanix did the day the two committed to their relationship. Silently Mashyuu hopped up on Hoseki's back and the two made their way down one dark hall, leaving Kanix and Davey to another of their choice.

Mashyuu and Kanix (Date Night Part 4) in: The Heretic! Empty Re: Mashyuu and Kanix (Date Night Part 4) in: The Heretic!

Post by Guest 4th August 2016, 4:09 pm

    Holy fire burns again
the magic circle is all around it, burning like the innocence of love

"Your girl? Is that all you're going to call me by when around other people?" Kanix inquired when she heard Mashyuu murmur his realization. A smirk was upon her lips, however, merely teasing him about what he had said when he first noticed her. She wasn't at all bothered by what he had called her, though she had been taken off guard by those two words. In fact, she had never heard him call her "his girl" in the time that they had been together and that was what threw her off. Most of the time, he had called her by her name, a name which wasn't even her own from the start. . . a stolen name. Perhaps if she ever found out from her sister what her real name had been, she would share it with Mashyuu in due time. For now, she would remain as Kanix Laspor, the woman he had fallen in love with and the mother of his child.

Turning away, her attention was focused back on the bars that were slowly freezing over from the water she spread on them. Her attention was quickly drawn back to Mashyuu when he had explained to Hoseki and Davey who she was exactly. "Mashyuu, please be careful in who you tell the information to," she stated in a stern voice compared to earlier. "I don't need my guild being known by other people for having gone dark; the Magic Council will learn about it and you know it." She was fearful of her guild being found out by the Magic Council again and that was why she had them move to another planet. There, they could settle down and start a new life as a dark guild and work their way back to legal status in time. Never would she let her guild prosper under the status of a darkness when Heero had given the mastery of the guild to her in the hope of keeping it going strong.

Hearing his next words, a frown would appear on her lips for a second, then she would turn around to face him. "You're such a showoff," she stated in a playful manner, pushing against his arm lightly and shoving him away. "I already know your status as an Ace of Sabertooth, and Babe, I also know you're an A-ranked wizard of the guild." The smile returned to her lips and she focused back on freezing the bars while Mashyuu rambled on about his Rising Star status. "Hm. . . I suppose that's too bad, but at least you can start working your way to being one of the Wizard Saints." She started laughing after she had mentioned Wizard Saints, as if a funny thought had been aroused in her head. "Imagine if I was a Sinner and you were a Wizard Saint, what do you think the people of Fiore would think when they found out we were married?"

She stopped her sentence there and went silent, taking a step back and thinking over what she had said to him. "Our daughter's doing fine," she answered him finally, skipping over anymore thought about marriage to him. "I also had a feeling the keys would be fake, but you never know when it comes to keeps like this one." Kanix glanced toward Mashyuu for a second, letting a shiver run down her spine as if a strange thought occurred to her. "The eye? I didn't want to wear it, it hurt too much since the socket isn't used to inorganic material being there. Being on jobs, that tends to get bothersome, but I promise you that I wear it around the guild and at home." Though Mashyuu introduced her to Davey and Hoseki shortly after having asked her where the eye was.

"It's a pleasure to meet you both," she'd quickly greet the two, bowing slightly before straightening her stance. As she did so, Mashyuu would step toward the bars and begin eating them one by one until a large enough space was left. "Why didn't you tell you could do that earlier? That would have been so much easier than me attempting to freeze it." She let out an exasperated sigh, though she was being a bit overdramatic about the ordeal than she should have been. "All right, so now that we're free, I guess we continue on our search for Remy; he's got to be down here somewhere." Without saying another word, the woman would step through the bars and enter the narrow hallway the ran in both directions. Kanix looked both ways, using her ears to listen for any unnatural sounds while also waiting for Mashyuu's word.

However, as she had stepped out of the cell, she would be bombarded by Hoseki inquirying about the injuries on her face. Taken aback by his abrasiveness, she'd step backward and bump into Mashyuu, who scolded Hoseki for asking. "No, no, it's okay, he has a right to ask, just as I have a right to not tell him," she would in turn scold her lover. As she spoke to him though, she would feel him grab her hand and bring it up to his face, asking if she could connect her vision. Right, he doesn't know that my magic has changed since the last time we've seen each other she thought to herself. Heaving a sigh, she'd free her hand from his and only shake her head with a small smile on her face. "I can't connect my vision to yours anymore, Mashyuu, I no longer have that ability after giving up my previous magic."

Mashyuu would slip her necklace back around her neck and she'd raise a hand to lightly touch it in confusion. "Oh, I didn't even know I had dropped it; thank you for not leaving it on the ground, I wouldn't know what I'd do without it." She'd stand on her tippie toes to kiss him on the cheek before falling back to the flats of her feet and turning away. "Is there anywhere you want to meet at all?" she'd inquire when he told her that splitting off would be the best idea. However, by the time she had asked, he had already hopped onto Hoseki's back and headed in the opposite direction. "All right, Davey," she stated in a prepping voice, clapping her hands together and rolling her head on her shoulders, "let's do this." With that being said, the woman would in the opposite direction that Mashyuu had gone, looking for an entrance to a large dungeon or Remy, himself.

"Yes, I'm gonna call you my girl often." Mashyuu replied with a soft chuckle to his voice. It was cute how Kanix seemed to be taken off guard by his name for her when he noticed she was around. Once downstairs Kanix scolded Mashyuu about talking to others about the guild she ran. The fact that Davey was part of a different kingdom all together and that Hoseki was a dragon who wouldn't really care must have went over her head in the heat of the moment. Mashyuu just laughed and shrugged his shoulders playfully. "Baby, I promise that the Magic Council isn't going out of their way to hunt down your guild." Mashyuu shot back in a playful gesture. It was true, Mashyuu was a bit of a show off but the fact that Kanix knew about him getting to A Rank so fast impressed Mashyuu to no end. "Wizard Saint? Marriage?" Mashyuu tripped over the words. How did she know what he was planning? How did she know he had a ring in his pocket that he was going to surprise her with next month? But it was her comment about the eye that really drew his attention. "Kanix, I got that eye to protect you. And it can't do that if you don't let your body get used to it." Mashyuu said in an almost scolding manner but decided to drop it since really she was a full grown woman, despite her high problem.

"I didn't tell you about it because you didn't ask. A man has the right to keep some secrets too ya know?" The Slayer replied before getting to work on the bars. The brown haired man was amazed to find out that Kanix had changed her magic, he could smell it on her now that he took a careful scent of her. Dragon Slayer magic? He would ask later. "Don't worry babe, I'll always watch out for you." He responded while he clasped her necklace back on her neck.

While Mashyuu and Hoseki stalked down one hall he caught Kanix's question about where to meet up and he grinned. Deciding to test to see if her senses were as sharp as his now he spoke in an even and calm tone. "Lets meet right back where we split up, if we can't.... Then back on the main floor." Mashyuu responded before vanishing in the darkness of the hall he was in.

Hoseki walked down the hall, Mashyuu sat on the Dragon's back with his hammer held in his left hand while his right hand tapped the wall on his right, feeling down the hall for any hidden passages. Mashyuu sniffed the air and tapped Hoseki on the top of the head. "Wait..." He warned before the ground fell out from under them and the roof caved in, forcing Hoskei and Mashyuu down. Gripping onto Hoseki's neck tightly, the pair twisted through the air and narrowly avoided the rocks falling down on them. A massive crash sounded below them and Mashyuu looked down. A large barren realm rested below them. Men and women in chains walked for as far as the eye could see with guards watching the prisoners carefully.

A massive alarm blared in the hidden realm under the keep, causing the guards to smack weapons into the legs of the prisoners, forcing the chained people down. A large wing beat filled the air behind Mashyuu and he knew before he turned, a Dragon was coming...

Atop the Dragon Was a soldier in black armor with bleach blonde hair. His gauntlet glowed with Magical power as he aimed it at the Earth Slayer. Hoseki didn't wait for Mashyuu command and opened it's mouth, letting a series of red energy shields swarm around Hoseki and Mashyuu. The dragon rider tossed a blast of power from his gauntlet and watched as the blast evaporated against one of the shields doing next to nothing to the magical shield. The Black Dragon carrying the fighter folded it's wings in and dropped down low, spiraling down towards the ground then opened it's wings and came up under Hoski. Mashyuu switched his hammer to his right hand and pointed it down at the Dragon, launching a beam of thunder at the beast. It struck true, then lanced out from the Dragon and hit the rider, causing both to lock up and fall for a moment.

An orange backdrop like the sun lit up the Dragon Slayer and Hoseki, casting a beautiful shadow over the pair while they watched the dark dragon and it's rider smash into the ground. When the sand cleared a blast of Dark energy smashed into Hoseki's shield, but couldn't break it. "Hoseki, charge!" He ordered. The Gem Dragon carrying Mashyuu dove down, picking up speed and roaring while moving down to attack...

Mashyuu and Kanix (Date Night Part 4) in: The Heretic! Empty Re: Mashyuu and Kanix (Date Night Part 4) in: The Heretic!

Post by Guest 7th August 2016, 8:30 am

    Holy fire burns again
the magic circle is all around it, burning like the innocence of love

"I'm sorry. . . Was what I said too much?" Kanix inquired, feeling that her bringing up potential marriage was incorrect on her part. If he wasn't ready for that large of a step in their relationship, she wouldn't bring it up again unless he was the one to talk about it. Perhaps he didn't even want to marry her? She was fine with that thought, no one wanted to marry someone who was in ruins. "And I know you got that eye for me as a means of protection, Mashyuu, but I've been blind since I was fourteen. Losing my eye to Sol means nothing to me; I still appreciate the thought, I really do, but I'll be fine without it." She gave Mashyuu a small smile in the hope that he wouldn't take her words too harshly about the gift he had given her. It upset her a little that he wanted her to wear that eye so much, but in truth, she hated being able to see things.

"Oh, so what other secrets are you hiding from me then?" she questioned, a smirk now upon her features as she looked at him. He had fallen into a trap once again, but this time, it wasn't so much a trap in the Blacksteel Keep as it was her own. Mostly, she just wanted to see his reaction and how he would respond to her question rather than an actual answer. However, he was busy eating the bars of the cell, so he probably didn't much care to answer her right away. Wrinkling her nose up in disgust, the woman turned away and stared out into the hallway, wondering what could be down there. The hall went in two different directions as if it just looped around rooms and connected back to itself in the end. Once all bar had been eaten by her boyfriend, she stepped out into the corridor and listened for any strange sounds. It didn't sound like there were any guards around, which was odd since Pergrande was supposed to be full of them.

She decided that while Mashyuu went down the right side of the hall, she would go down the left and look for Remy. Perhaps, she would have better luck in finding the raccoon down this way than whatever her boyfriend was getting into. Stalking down the corridor, the woman would only stop when she heard Mashyuu's voice calling back to her on where they would meet. So, it seemed he had managed to hear the question she had asked him before they had moved too far apart from each other. Meeting back here sounded easy, but she knew, in the long run, that it was likely going to be a tad more difficult. Davey was also with her, which meant she not only had to look out for herself but also had to look out for him. While she had tended to Mashyuu in times of his need, Davey was someone she wasn't all that familiar with after all.

"You know, I don't like being in this castle; I feel like there are guards around every corner and they're going to attack us. What are you going to do when they do that and lock us up like Remy is, only to execute us in the morning just like him?" Davey asked her.

"I'll accept my fate as a wizard then," she answered him back in as a stern of a tone as he was talking to her. "Remy is your friend, is he not? Friends stick together no matter what happens to them, so we're getting Remy back."

Davey let out a huff of air and flapped his winged arms in distress like he didn't like her answer all that much. She didn't much care, though, figuring Davey was just there from Seven in order to return Remy to his home. For all she knew, either of the two animals was that close friends and he hadn't been all that pleased with her answer.

"Well, I don't want to be marked as a Satanic duck and crucified on a standing cross because of your actions," he grumbled.

"You're not going to get crucified for busting out Remy; now, would you shut up about the whole thought being crucified?" Kanix snapped at him. In turn, the magus had closed his beak and stopped muttering obscenities about being captured and executed along with Remy. They would get out of Pergrande before anything bad happened and they would make it out of Pergrande through Iceberg. She had a feeling that the country would be all right with them escaping Pergrande through there and heading back to Seven. Besides, Iceberg was literally that, a nation that was covered in ice and ruled by some sort of tyrannical king with a crown. Considering that king had powers from the crown and its people were afraid to deal with him, they had nothing against wizards.

"Hey, is someone there?" a voice called out into the open, though Kanix wasn't able to discern its direction at the time.

Her single optic fluttered toward Davey as he looked at her, and a sudden realization dawned on the two of them. Remy was definitely down here, and while they didn't quite know where he was, it was likely they would find him soon. However, they didn't want to yell too much, in fear that there were guards around and that they didn't want to handle those men.

"Come on," she whispered to Davey, picking up her pace and rushing down the hallway. "He's gotta be close by if his voice can ring out that loud, but I have a feeling there are going to be guards patrolling the area." When they reached the end of the hallway, Kanix would pause at the other entrance and stop Davey from going any farther. Her head was bent down slightly and she listened intently to the surroundings that were beyond the entrance they were at.

"What do you hear?" Davey inquired, looking up at the blind woman and waiting patiently for her to answer him.

"I hear about. . . four different set of footsteps, unfortunately; so, breaking Remy out of jail is going to be a bit harder than I thought. We can do our best, but with that many outnumbering us, I'm not quite sure how this battle is going to end. So, are you in this with me or are you going to chicken out and make me do all of the hard work because you're scared of being captured?" Kanix blinked her eye and focused onto Davey, frowning a little and expecting for him to want to stay behind.

"No, I'm going in with you; like you said, Remy is a friend and friends stick together no matter what happens," Davey answered her.

This made her proud because it meant Davey was up for the challenge even though he fretted over being captured and executed. Now that everything was said and done, Kanix turned the corner and came face to face with one of the guards near Remy's cell.

"Hey, you can't be here!" the guard shouted, raising their sword and shield, then charging Kanix the second he had.

"Shut up, asshole!" the woman stated, skidding to a halt and raising her hands up, drawing moisture out of the air. Droplets of water surrounded the magus and one by one, the droplets turned from water and into shards of ice. Flicking her wrist, one shard was sent toward the guard, then a volley of them followed after in order to keep him busy. The guard, in the end, had to raise his shield in order to make sure he would not be hit by the salvo of ice shards.

A single strong hand grasped Hoseki by the neck while Mashyuu lifted his hammer and jumped up, planting his armored boots on the Dragon's back to prepare for an attack. The Gem Dragon roared and unleashed a massive blast that rocketed forward and slammed into the chest of the Dark Dragon and then shot up into it's rider, knocking the man off the Dragon's back and sending him to the ground. The Dragon flipped up onto it's legs and took off at Mashyuu and Hoseki, wind dragging around the Dark beast with every moment that it soared through the sky. Mashyuu howled with rage and took a deep breath. His legs bent and tensed up before Mashyuu kicked off Hoseki and at the Black Dragon. "Earth Dragon's Roar!" He called out... OH how Mashyuu wished Kanix was here to see, for lack of a better word, Mashyuu at last achieve his goal of mastering his Roar. The Blast that came from Mashyuu's lungs was a massive torrent of earth, smashing into both the Dark Dragon and it's rider as Mashyuu flew forward. The blast blinded the Dragon and let Mashyuu jump past the Dragon to land in front of the rider.

The moment Mashyuu's blast hit, the dragon Rider braced himself for the attack but found his armor only absorbed so much of the blow before the Slayer's spell did damage to the man's organs. Mashyuu landed and whipped his hammer around in a single hand while watching the Dragon Rider recover and draw a weapon. His blade lit up, wrapping itself in a dark flame and crackling with a vibrant yellow group of thunder bolts. Mashyuu tilted his head in confusion but let his smile stay plastered on his face. The Dragon Rider glanced up at the two dragons fighting overhead while Mashyuu took the chance to rush at the man in black armor. The Dragon Rider braced himself while lifting his sword with both arms to try and block Mashyuu's hammer strike. The blow was massive, knocking the Swordsman back and almost knocking the sword out of the hand of the fighter. The Fighter swiftly regained his stance and rushed at Mashyuu, slamming his shoulder into the Wizard to try and knock Mashyuu over. The tactic didn't work, Mashyuu's Mountain Stance being much to powerful of a tactic to let the Swordsman bowl the stout Earth Slayer over.

Mashyuu gripped the hammer carefully and activated the weapons primary ability. Mashyuu twisted and spun, smashing his hammer into the Rider's arm, a blast of magma spewed from the attack, driving into the arm and igniting the armor of the Riders in the process. The man stumbled to his right, swinging his blade out in the process, nearly cutting Mashyuu's neck but missing only due to the fact that the blow Mashyuu sent his way took the man off balance. The rider was out of breath, had vastly underestimated Mashyuu's power and wasn't sure if he could match it.

It was time, Mashyuu would unleash one his his new spells for the first time. He threw his hammer up high into the air and clapped both his hands together then pointed them forward. "Fang of the Earth Dragon!" He shouted. From the ground around him four sharp pillars of stone launched out and each smashed into the Swordsman, knocking him backwards and out cold. Above a loud shattering sound rang out and Hoseki's shield broke, launching a shock wave out that knocked his foe to the ground to join the rider. Mashyuu looked up at Hoseki while he caught his hammer and floated up to the Dragon's side thanks to the magic in his hammer. "Something tells me this is the wrong place. But Should we really leave all these men in chains?" Mashyuu pondered aloud while looking at the slaves and their masters who looked on in wonder and fear at the Dragon Slayer and his partner who just took out a Dragon and it's rider in short order. While Mashyuu and Hoseki looked out to the slaves, Ux screamed a warning to Mashyuu's mind to throw up a wall behind him. His gloves poured a blanket of earth out and Mashyuu wrapped it around himself and Hoseki, protecting them from a volley of arrows that came up from behind the pair. Mashyuu twisted around and poked a hole in his dome, looking down at the five archers below with a grin on his face. "Oh those guys are gonna get it now."

The dome around the pair dropped and both Mashyuu and Hoseki moved in on the archers. Hoseki landed first, spinning in the sand and smacked it's tail into one of the archers, knocking him over with little effort. Mashyuu came down in a rolling land, a clump of sandy earth floated up to his fist and he struck it, sending the rock bullet into another archer's face, sending the man flying in a twist through the sky and into a near by rock. Another arrow came flying at Mashyuu and he simply caught the metal tip with is teeth and ate the arrow head with a grin on his face. His right hand dropped his hammer into the ground and turned into a long set of two spiked chains that Mashyuu swept out and slammed into the remaining archers, the three men felt spikes dig into their flesh, ripping it and pulling out. Gashes bled as the archers dropped their bows and twisted to run from the foes they had thought might go down with a few well placed arrows.

Post by Guest 8th August 2016, 9:58 am

    Holy fire burns again
the magic circle is all around it, burning like the innocence of love

When the volley of ice spears had ended, the guard lowered his shield and raised his weapon, then charged Kanix with a war cry. Her optic widened and she stepped to the right in order to avoid the blade that was coming straight at her. Manmade wind rushed past her as the guard struck out his sword and missed her by a longshot, causing her to heave a sigh of relief. As quickly as the man had thrust with his blade, the woman reached out with both of her hands, grabbed the extended arm and brought it around his back. She twisted his arm so that the elbow was facing down and the back of his hand was pressed between his shoulder blades. The man cried out in pain, which only caused her to grit her teeth and press his arm harder along his spinal cord. Eventually, he dropped his weapon and using the heel of her left foot, she dug it into his lower back and shoved him away.

From the force of the shove, the man's arm would dislocate his shoulder, leaving it dangling at his side, useless. Kanix picked up the sword where it had dropped at her feet and twirled it in her hand, a smirk playing across her lips. With a crosshatching slash, the woman cut deep into the skin of the guard until the guard remembered he had his shield. Upon the second slashing, the shield had been raised and the weapon clattered into the wooden base of the shield. She growled and with both hands she dug the weapon as deeply as she could into the barrier until it started cracking. When she heard the cracking of the wood, she bent the sword downward, letting it split the shield in two and leave the man defenseless. By now, the guard was whining and mumbling words, as if he was afraid she was going to end up killing him with no remorse.

Kanix was about to impale the man when Davey called out to her in a voice she recognized to be rather angry. "What the hell do you think you're doing, Witch? You're supposed to be saving Remy's life, not murdering guards who are only doing their job! Who the hell raised you with the belief that murder was all right to do? To just randomly slaughter people as you pleased?"

She hesitated in bringing down the weapon upon the innocent guard, her blind optic staring down at him like she could see him. The snarl twitched at the top of her lips like she was realizing what she was doing, then the sound of metal clattering against stone resounded in the air. Heavy breaths and dry swallowing echoed in her ears; in seconds, the guard scrambled to his feet and ran away. Taking a step back, Kanix blinked her single eye and didn't give any excuse toward Davey about what she was doing.

"Look, just forget about it; let's find Remy's cell and break him out, then we can worry about the guards," Davey stated. With that being said, the duck would run off down the hall, skimming the cells in the hope of finding Remy locked away.

Kanix, on the other hand, still stood where she was, staring at the place where the guard had once been like she was fearful of something. Swallowing a lump in her throat, the woman would shake her head and follow after Davey, breathing in deeply. It was a mistake, it wasn't like she was going back to doing what she had formerly done as a dark mage; she was changed. She wouldn't mercilessly kill someone unless there was an actual reason behind why she would need to kill them. Perhaps it was the idea that she was once again a dark mage? That she felt she needed to kill because she was one.

As they rounded a corner, Kanix would come face to face with another guard, only this time, Davey was trapped in his arms. She growled as she recognized the duck's magic power mixing with the guard's, meaning this guard wasn't just a normal human. "Davey, I'm going to have to ask if you trust me," she stated in a voice that was hard as stone from where she stood. "So, do you trust me or not?" Her blind gaze would steadily stare at the guard and the duck in his arms.

"Why the hell would I trust you? You've done nothing more than try to get us killed this entire mission! I'd rather be with Mashyuu right now!" the duck yelled back.

"But do you trust me?" she repeated the question, her voice getting harder with each passing second Davey wasted.

Silence would follow her question, as if Davey wasn't so sure if he wanted to answer her truthfully or not. "YES, I TRUST YOU!"

"That's all I needed to hear," she responded, letting out a growl from her throat and lowering in her stance. Water coated her arms as she spoke, leaking down from the tips of her fingers and running along her forearm until they reached her shoulders. Tentacle-like appendages rippled along her skin, and with a single slash, Kanix let out lunge out at the guard. Since both of his arms were currently preoccupied with holding Davey, the guard wasn't able to defend himself. As a result, he got the backlash of the attack, being struck in the face by the water and forced to release the duck. With her other arm, Kanix lashed out and grabbed Davey with it, bringing the small creature back to her side. "You really need to watch what you're doing because I can't have you going around and getting captured by the guards."

However, the guard was not finished with them and as soon as he recovered, the man sent out a blast of light. Kanix's attention was quickly drawn back to the guard, yet her reaction wasn't fast enough and she was blasted with the magic. Thrown backward, the woman landed on the concrete floor, scraping up her back more and peeling some skin off. She let out a cry of pain when she crashed to the floor, Davey rushing over to her and taking a knee beside her.

"You really need to watch what you're doing," he repeated her words, "we can't have you getting so beat up, you're unable to move. Now, sit still and I'll patch up these wounds for you so that you can get back into battle and get our Remy back."

"No, Davey, I have to finish this battle with the guard or else he's going to take advantage of us at our weakest," Kanix shoved him away and stood up. "I'll be fine."

The Archers started to run and Mashyuu couldn't help but smile at his work. That was until he felt the ground tremble under him and his body locked up. The Wizards nose flared and took in the scent of the black Dragon that Hoseki had dropped a few moments ago. "Hoseki, this is the wrong place, find Kanix and let her know I've been captured. She will know what to do." Mashyuu ordered his friend. Hoseki turned to face where the dragon would be coming from and started to growl low as if he was going to stay and help. "Hoseki, Kanix is a good woman you have nothing to fear. She will most likely cause a distraction to let you come and grab me before anything terrible happens. I can hold the Dragon until then, but if we both run or both fight Kanix and the others are going to be killed next." Hoseki let out a sigh of annoyance but beat his wings once then took off. Dirt and sand exploded around the Dragon as he took off and soared straight for the way the pair had fallen down from.

The Dark Dragon started to take off after the smaller one until it's head twisted to see Mashyuu standing on the sandy ground, hammer in hand. The Dark Dragon flew in front of the fake sun, and beat it's wings twice then soared to the ground to land in front of Mashyuu. It's five story frame towered over Mashyuu and it's bright white eyes glared down on the Wizard. "Truly you wish to face me small Wizard? You have killed many of our kind?" The Dragon's scaled lips twisted up in a smile as it's tongue snaked out and licked it's razor sharp teeth. "I've killed enough of you to know you can't beat me." Mashyuu boasted, honestly it was a bluff, used to make sure the Dragon didn't leave the battle but Mashyuu was confident he could take the Dragon on for a long time. The boast seemed to infuriate the Black Scaled beast as it stood up on it's hind legs and roared darkly. It's wings beat and blew Mashyuu's hair and jacket back while the Wizard stood proudly in the face of grave danger.

Before the Dragon had the time to come back down on Mashyuu, the Wizard raced forward, a cloud of sand kicked up behind him as his mouth took in a deep breath and dragged the sand into it, recovering some of his magical power. As he ran he focused on the sand around him and whispered so softly that he was sure even a dragon couldn't hear him. "Forbidden art: Earth Dragon's Living Armor." The ground trembled softly under Mashyuu to help protect him Once at the Dragon's foot Mashyuu pointed his finger and lifted it at the Dragon's foot. "Secret art: Earth Dragon's Explosive Spike!" He called out. A large spike rocketed out of the ground under the Dragon's foot and exploded after it ripped through the Dragon's flesh. It howled in pain and lashed at Mashyuu with it's tail, slamming into what it thought was the Wizard, but in truth was simply his living armor. The force of wind from the Dragon's strike did send Mashyuu rocketing backwards like a spell he had cast.

Sailing through the sky Mashyuu flipped backwards and placed his left hand on the ground, bringing himself to a sliding stop that resulted in him laying face down in the sand. Mashyuu laid there for a moment, chewing on the sand for a bit and drawing magical power from the earth under him. That was not the best move you have ever made Mashyuu. Ux spoke into the Earthen Wizards mind. The Slayer simply pushed himself up and laughed while the Dragon shook his foot and looked on at the Earth Wizard getting up after taking on a Dragon's strike with no effort. Mashyuu spread his arms and yelled out. "Is that all you got buddy?" The Dragon Roared and it's claws started to glow. Mashyuu twisted his left hand into a claw like pose and pulled his arm back. at the same time both Mashyuu and the Dark Dragon slashed out with an arm, sending a shock wave through the air. Mashyuu leap't to the right, while the dragon absorbed Mashyuu's talon spell. It wasn't ready for the power of Mashyuu's spell however as it felt it's foe's spell dragged the Dragon to it's belly. It's eyes opened wide and a blast of electricity slammed into his head, annoying the beast to no end.

Mashyuu raced forward, whirling his hammer around in his hand, then jumped up high. His body sparked and changed to a bolt of golden electricity and he appeared above the Dragon's head. The Hammer in his hand lit up a violent red as he brought it down atop the Dragon's neck. "DIE!" He shouted as the hammer slammed down, exploding with magma and burning the Dragon in the process. Mashyuu rolled to the left, trying to avoid a strike but it was a futile effort as the Dragon Recovered from Mashyuu's spell and brought it's wing up to slam straight into Mashyuu, his living armor the only thing keeping hi from getting dropped in a single blow. The wing attack knocked Mashyuu to his side in a heap, blood poured from his face, dripping to the ground and caking on the sand. The Dragon took a step back and looked at Mashyuu for a moment. "...That cult was right. You are stronger than many expect. It's good that you are still just a mortal because you almost killed me. I will give your barely living body to the cult and let them do what they will with you." The Dragon boasted and lifted Mashyuu off the ground, letting him dangle in one of the Dragon's claws limply. Mashyuu's glove covered hand gripped his hammer tightly while a weak smile creased on his lips, the dragon was about to die.

Mashyuu activated his hammers holy light and a burst of Dragon Magic erupted from the hammer, healing Mashyuu's wounds and causing the Dragon to recoil in pain. Mashyuu landed on his knees and summoned up another of his weapons powers. "Absolute Zero." Mashyuu called out and let a radius of cold power flow through the hammer and slam into the Dark Dragon. Mashyuu stomped on the ground, causing a massive Golem of stone to spring out of the sand and drive it's morning star into the Dragon's gut, doubling it over while Mashyuu launched a pillar of stone up and into the Dragon's jaw, shattering the beasts teeth and cutting off one of it's attacks. The Dragon whipped it's tail out at Mashyuu and his golem, the Slayer lifted his left arm and it turned into a spiked shield of metal. He braced himself and slid to the side, keeping his Golem safe from the blow while he winced in pain and shook his arm to keep the feeling in it. Again the Dragon brought it's claw down, while the Golem slammed it's weapon into the knee of the dragon. Mashyuu lifted his shield and blocked the strike again. This time the shield exploded and launched spikes of metal into the hand of the dragon and forcing it to recoil and start to beat it's wings. "Oh you aren't getting away!" He called out and clapped his hands together then placed them to the ground. The slayer unleashed four spiked pillars of stone under the Dragon and caught the beast in the lungs, ripping it open and forcing the beast to fall to the ground, dragon's blood poured out of the monster while the tower above Mashyuu started to shake.

Mashyuu started about in a panic, wanting to free the slaves he had seen earlier in the fight but they were gone, as were the slave masters. Mashyuu erupted with wind, his hammer letting the Slayer float up into the sky as he came closer towards the hole he fell down from. As Mashyuu came closer to the hole Hoseki came soaring down and grabbed Mashyuu up. "Kanix is working on the Keep, she found Remmy and helped him. it's time to go!" He shouted as the Keep around Mashyuu and Hoseki quaked and started to cave in on itself...

Hoseki rolled through the hall that he had traveled to in order to reach Mashyuu, black iron and stone falling all around the pair. Mashyuu worked as best as he could to keep bricks in place and keep Hoseki safe as it sailed up the spiral stair case and out the front of the keep. The Dragon Sailed around the back of the Keep and set Mashyuu down to let him recover. The Slayer was still very injured and bleeding from his head badly, the spell from the hammer only doing so much to keep him from death. Weakly Mashyuu stumbled around and looked out towards the Keep. "Where is Kanix? We need to make sure the others are all right." He ordered Hoseki, while looking out for the love of his life.

Mashyuu and Kanix (Date Night Part 4) in: The Heretic! Empty Re: Mashyuu and Kanix (Date Night Part 4) in: The Heretic!

Post by Guest 8th August 2016, 4:15 pm

    Holy fire burns again
the magic circle is all around it, burning like the innocence of love

Cracking her neck, the woman shifted her stance into a position close to what one would assume as the crouching tiger stance. One leg swept forward, drawing up water from the air, then kicked the water out in front of her as it froze into a large disc. The sharp circular creation spun toward the guard but was easily deflected by one of the man's spells as he cast it. Anger boiled underneath Kanix's veins when she heard the ice shatter into one of the stone walls and she sent another disc. This time around, the disc managed to slice into the skin of the guard, throwing him off balance and fizzling out his spell. She smirked and with another flip and kick of her foot, she sent a third disc flying straight at the magus of a guard. How someone like him had survived this long in Pergrande was strange to her, considering he was able to cast spells.

However, as she was about to send out another attack on the guard, a powerful auric sensation cast over her. She breathed in deeply and halted her actions, waiting for whatever it was that happened to be coming their way. The magical aura rounded a corner, sending shivers down her spine at the intensity of it and waiting to see if it was another guard. No, it couldn't have been a guard considering this was Pergrande; magi were marked as heretics here in this magicless kingdom. Turning around, Kanix was crashed into by Hoseki, who happened to lack the rider she knew he had left with. Taking a step back, shock resounded in her voice as she recognized Mashyuu was not with the dragon.

"Hoseki, where's Mashyuu?" she cried out, trying to sense the magical power of her lover.

"Kanix, you have to go; you have to get out of here," the dragon warned her in an eerily calm voice. "Mashyuu has been captured, and if you don't leave now, you'll be the next one they're after. You're not safe here."

A shiver ran down her spine out of terror, a feeling that she wasn't able to explain as it was the first time she had ever felt it truly. "No!" she wailed out, "I won't leave without Mashyuu; I won't leave him to be taken away and murdered by these men! Where is he at? Hoseki!" Her hands reached forward clamped onto the dragon's shoulder, shaking him as hard as she could. "Why won't you tell me where he is! He needs me! He needs me! He nee-" Her voice, having gone too high of a pitch, cracked from the desperation in it. She cleared her throat, but unfortunately, her wailing had summoned the other two guards that were patrolling the area.

Whirling on the men that had entered the area, the room became a deadly cold temperature and the water droplets froze in the air. The droplets seemingly shifted on their own, all pointing like spears at the men and women with raised weapons in the room. Kanix had a dark aura surrounding her, and as a result, the icicles shot at the guards before they were able to act. Forty of the tiny creations had impaled the three remaining guards, pinning them to the walls or the floor. Davey, terrified by the immense power Kanix had displayed, rushed toward one of the cells and unlocked its door. Remy stepped out of the cell and with Davey's help, went rushing past Kanix and back the way they had come. She was not a happy camper, and the two animals did not want to stick around when she was as angry as she was.

"Get out, Hoseki. . ." she muttered in a dark voice, the room temperature still growing colder as the seconds passed. "Get. . . out."

The dragon, not wanting to test the words of his companion's lover, decided it was best to make like a tree and leave. Kanix now left alone, walked in the opposite direction that the magi and dragon had gone, leaving a visible trail of ice along the ground. Wherever she stepped, the moisture in the air would turn from liquid to solid and clatter to the ground as ice enveloped the entire building. Overhead, a loud screech could be heard, echoing in the nighttime air as Ancalagon swooped around in the sky.

"Ancalagon," she spoke in a tone that was rather quiet for someone to hear beyond the walls of the keep. "Annihilate them." As soon as those words were spoken, lightning began to strike down on the building.

Before long, Kanix had made it back out of the keep and was standing alongside Hoseki, Davey, and Remy. The squad watched as Ancalagon flew over the castle-like structure and threw down bolts of lightning, crumbling pieces of it. Minutes passed by and the bolts never ended, screeching apparent in the air as the giant bird broke the castle. Eventually, the building rumbled and started to crumble underneath the pressure of its own weight until it was nothing but rubble. Ancalagon came swooping back toward his master and settled on the ground behind her, letting out one more screech. His feathers were ruffled and it was quite clear that he wasn't all that happy, likely an extended emotion of his master.

"Hoseki, I'll leave you to finding Mashyuu; Remy and Davey need to be brought back to Seven before it's too late," she stated, clambering onto Ancalagon's back.

She still hadn't taken off when she got onto Ancalagon's back, however, her blue optic gazing in the direction of the building. A shrill cry pierced the silence, followed by a choked wail as Kanix tried to regain her composure over the loss of her boyfriend. Out of anger, she had Ancalagon decimate the castle, not realizing that it would also potentially kill Mashyuu. Her fingers gripped and tore at the feathers on the bird's back, causing him to shake and whimper as she did. Eventually, she buried her face into the black feathers of the Thunderbird, muffling her cries and failure to regain herself. Kanix still had her fingers entangled in the bird's feathers, never once letting them go as she weeped into them. Blood and tears mixed as one yet again, failing to realize that it was possible Mashyuu was still living and breathing beneath the rubble.

Hoseki shook his wings and took off into the sky again. "No worries Mashyuu, Kanix is fine as is Davey and Remmy." Mashyuu let off a breath of fresh air even though he was bleeding hard from his face. Mashyuu looked through blood stained eyes as Hoseki floated down to land at the side of Kanix and her massive bird that Mashyuu still sort of considered a friend. He looked at Kanix crying and digging her face in the birds neck. He placed his finger to his lips to keep the others silent then reached out and jumped onto the back of the massive dragon like thunder bird, wrapping his hands around the slender waist of Kanix Mashyuu pulled her up to rest against his chest while he kissed her shoulder softly. "Hey, I told you I wasn't going anywhere. I meant that. You and I, we are together forever. Aiama isn't going to grow up with only one parent. Here I have something to ask you."

Swiftly Mashyuu unleashed Kanix and slipped off of the dragon like bird and pulled Kanix down to stand in front of him while he dropped to his knee and reached into his jackets pocket. "Kanix Laspor, you have made me the happiest man since the day we met. You walked into my life and saved it, and in turn I have done the same for you." He started to speak while blood dripped from his chin and pooled between his legs. "Now I ask that you join me for the rest of our lives. Kanix will you mary me?" He gently took her hand and slipped a ring onto her finger. "I wanted you to link with me so that you could see it, but I guess you will have to do so when you get back to the guild house." Mashyuu explained then stood up slowly. Either way the job was done, Davey had already taken Remmy to leave the kingdom leaving Kanix and Mashyuu alone to finish up whatever they needed to do...

    Holy fire burns again
the magic circle is all around it, burning like the innocence of love

Ancalagon nearly let out a squawk of surprise when Mashyuu had leapt up onto his back and practically attacked his master. However, the bird remained still in respect of what he was doing, simply ruffling his feathers and waiting for what was to happen. Kanix, on the other hand, still had her face buried in his fathers, her shoulders wracked with sorrow at her stupidity. It was only when she felt hands around her waist did her body lock up in fear that she was being kidnapped again. Yet, she was in too feeble of a condition to really care what happened to her and let the hands bring her up and away from the safety of Ancalagon's feathers. Her stout body pressed against Mashyuu's and she felt him kiss her shoulder, then his voice filled the silence. All at once, her crying stopped and she fell silent, listening contentedly to his voice as he assured her nothing was wrong.

After which, he pulled her to the ground, holding her hands in his as he knelt to his knees and began mumbling odd things. She listened to his rambling, but didn't say a word as he finally got to what he was about to ask her and she felt something slip onto her finger. Startled by the cold metal, she withdrew her hand and touched the ring with her pinkie and thumb, twirling it around slightly. Kanix bit her lip and let her gaze steadily stare back at Mashyuu, then her head slowly started to nod at him. As much as she wanted to say something to him, she couldn't find her voice able enough to make a sound. All she could really do was nod in gesture to him and try to prevent herself from crying more than she had previously. However, tears were already streaking her dirtied face and she'd pull Mashyuu up into a hug before letting him go.

Once he was released, the woman would climb back onto Ancalagon's back and grip his feathers more gently. A smile was upon her face as she dug her heels into the bird's side, sending him off into a hurried flight in the sky. The duo would head home on their pets, unfortunately marked as heretics of the nation, but that didn't bother Kanix.
