- Job: The Storm King!
Rank: S
Player Requirements: 3 or more S-Ranked Wizards. Thread must be at least 40 posts, with 525 words per post. Must be S Ranked or above to participate.
Job Location: Crescent Island
Job Description:
"So, there is a legend of a grand monster that lives under the sea. When it rises, hurricanes, typhoons, tsunamis and other natural disasters occur as it flies across the sky and swims through the ocean. Thus it has gained the name of The Storm King. It has immense magical power and has been known to end entire civilizations in its wake when it is angered. The good part is that it only comes to surface every 50 years. The bad part is that this is the 50th year. There have been reports of immense storms off of the coast of our neighboring Nation; The Principality of Veronica, and they are requesting your help.
They want you to repel The Storm King. It's a powerful monster, so attempting to kill it would be foolish. Even fighting it would be foolish to be honest. It can control gale force winds that can easily rip a house from its foundations as if it were a blade of grass. It can create tornadoes and can fire out blasts of water with the power of tidal waves. This monster is a beast among beasts. It's enormous size and immense power are almost dragon like. However, if it goes through Veronica, it will destroy everything. Their history will be lost. Their culture will be destroyed. We need to end this before it begins.
Thankfully the Storm King tends to be very docile, even for its ability to create storms. It rarely attacks unless you seriously provoke it, so the only thing you have to worry about is surviving in an enormous storm that could easily rip you limb from limb. Thankfully you don't have to worry about trying to fight it back. That is unless you're attempting to kill it. At that point, good luck and I'll be sure to attend your funeral. But if you do manage to kill it, bring it to me so we may study it.
So I want you to redirect the monster. Either force it to take a land path that is not populated or repel it and force it back out to sea. I don't care what you do, just do it and take care of the creature or else there will be a loss that years of work could not recreate."
Mission Requirements:
- Group of Three or more Wizards.
- Ability to withstand the sheer power of the winds that surround the monster.
- Ability to herd it through the neighboring country or around the country safely.
Mission Objectives:
- Repel the Storm King
- Keep damage to a minimum.
Bonus Objectives:
- Kill the Storm King (nearly impossible without an enormous group of super powerful mages, it takes 10 hits of H-Ranked spell damage to take out.)
- No damage to the neighboring country.
Enemies: Storm King: A creature believed to be immortal. It holds the power of control over natural disasters, all of which are S-ranked.
Reward: 100,000 Jewels
Bonus Reward (If Both Objectives Are Completed): 200,000 Jewels
Blah, blah, blah, storms, blah blah blah, 50th year. Elyx, you are the Deity of the Sky, you are the master of wind. Why would this job even be something to look over again? You would just blow everything away within about a minute if you are slow. Ignite would ask as he feet were kicked up onto his desk, her back against the throne chair of his office in Black Rose as the paper was in her right hand. Light purple eyes were half-closed to show that she was bored. That was the whole point of the job though, it gave them both the same credit of a 100 Year job for sure, and they did not even have to kill the thing. What more? The amount of jewels that it paid for them was amazing, to be able to take down such a beast would heavily pay them, probably allowing them to upgrade their mansion even further. Then again, they do not care to populate themselves too much with the house, but often are away from it. Exactly you idiot. The Wind Slayer would reply, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, looking from across the room to meet his eyes with Ignites, who was on the other side. This time, it was him who brought the job. It was relaxing, high paying, and gave him a reason to take a vacation from the city and the guild for a little bit. This job not only requires multiple mages of our ranking so that we can make more alliances and return to our old friends. It pays well and gives us the same amount of credit that a regular 100 Year job would give us, it makes our lives a lot easier. Either that, or we can return to the hive to make a new Rosella family.
That probably put the final nail in the coffin, Ignite would not like to go back for a long time. The stress on her shoulders was a hell on its own, she did not want to return to that. What once was complaining became concern. Her legs would drop down to the ground, her back would hunch over as the job request had been placed on the desk before pointing onto the mage requirements. Well, even if that were the case, we are two S ranked mages short. We can't go without this support you know. The She Phoenix would explain before placing her back straight up against the back of the throne, it had a nice and soft cushion on it. Elyx would only turn his neutral facial expression into a grin, forgetting to smile and skipping that step, he would flash all of his whites to show that he had taken care of that as well. Well, partially at least. Looks like we are going to have to visit our good friend, Ven, eh? The Wind Slayer would announce, and now the She Phoenix would have a smile on her face. Hearing that name, ever since their last encounter, could only bring happiness to her. Both of them used flames, both of them liked to eat, and both of them like to tease Elyx. But... That was two, and Ignite sure did not count and the Magic Council will jump on his case for trying to attempt such a thing. All right, but that brings us down to one other mage. Who else would like to go that is a close friend of yours? Good question, and in all honesty, he did not have any answer to that. Still keeping a relaxed persona on him, his shoulders would shrug one time before he closed his eyes, grin turning into a smile as he simply stated, I dunno, I guess we just go with the flow?
