Raiders of the Lost Ark! (job)

Lilian flew sky high on Marshmallow's back. The pair of them were supposed to stop a treasure hunter from raiding a tomb and using whatever it was that was in there for his own evil ways. This was a mission directly issued from the Magic Council, so Lilian knew she would get some fame if she completed a job for them. Not only would she get a reward from them, the people will know Lily as a hero once again! Well... That's what Lilian hoped. She knew becoming a hero would take years, as she couldn't force people to acknowledge her good deeds, and plus her affinity for the good also came naturally. It was strange, her selflessness fuels her selfishness, which fuels her to be even more selfless. But those were the many stages of Lilian Truth, the Hero-to-Be.

Lilian came down to the outskirts of the Ancient Ruins, Lilian looked for another person anywhere around here. She was supposed to be doing this job with one other person, a member of the guild Infinity Hydra. That was all that she knew about this person, so she decided to wait and see if he or she could find Lilian. Perhaps they had knowledge of her that she didn't of them?

"This'll be one more for the hero board, right Marshmallow!?" She said to the wyvern.

"Hmm... We could just fly over the Ruins and look for the entrance to the tomb, but then that means that the evildoer wouldn't be stopped! We must traverse this place to be sure everyone gets proper punishment!" She said aloud. Turning around to face away from the ruins, she wondered in her head where in blazes was her partner. If he or she had some sort of flying mount like Lilian did, they could have been much more punctual.

Lily was becoming impatient. Punctuality was key! How could someone be so late, of course they might not have a flying mount like Lilian, but they should have accounted for the heat and rough transport. This was their fault, either that or they were EXTREMELY early and began the job early. Considering the pair of them didn't hear any fighting going on, she assumed that wasn't the case.

"Marshmallow, go look over the outside of the ruins, and see if you can find anyone." She scratched under the wyvern's chin, and watched it soar up into the air, and flew off to the point where Lilian could no longer see it. Lilian sat down on the... Sidewalk...? of the ruins, and sighed. There was no way for her to tell where this partner was, so she decided to begin traveling inside the ruins, looking for any enemies. She went into a temple, where some god was worshipped, and began looking around.

"YOO! Any of you Gem Brothers in here!!!? What about you god? Can ya give me any insight as to where my partner could be!?" Just as she said this, a quick scurrying sound could be heard from behind her. Quickly facing the opposite direction to confront the unknown assailant, Lily was faced with...

A raccoon.

A sigh escaped Lilian's mouth when she walked back out, seeing another body. Male, supposedly complaining about the heat, but she couldn't quite understand from the distance between the two. She frantically waved her arms, trying to grab the man's attention. Once he got close enough, convinently Marshmallow the wyvern landed behind Lilian, having just completed her search.

"I assume since you're the only other person here, you're my partner? Why are you so late? Don't you know that even being a second too late could cause a major downfall?"

The heat was one of the most imposing obstacles a person face while traveling to the ruins; it felt as though the sun was merely trying to beat the male into submission; it wanted to dominate the males energy. Acting as a tyrannical ruler, it would suppress any motion he took to try and beat it. Letting out a slight sigh, he was over it. He didn't understand how the heat could be so persistent. Well, he understood. He simply disliked it. Why would it choose to harass him!?

There was a brief shadow that overtook the male; it was something that was too large to be any type of cloud; it was a clear day after all. Forming a shield over his eyes, he saw a fucking wyvern flying overhead. At this point he was unsure as to whether this wyvern was the monster that he had to take out, if it was simply flying overhead, or if it had a master. Deciding to simply ignore it, Vladimir would push on. He hated to ignore it, but there was no way he could do anything about it.

It was as he lowered his head that he noticed the ruins were quickly coming into view. Quickening his approach, it seemed there was someone in view, awaiting his approaching. Scratching the back of his head, it seemed he was a bit later then he was planning. "I'm usually early..." he sighed, looking into the distance. There was no need to make her wait any longer; it was at this thought that he began to move with a much more serious attitude.

Having closed the distance very quickly, he was pretty happy with the time he had made; sure, he was late, but at it couldn't have been by more than a few minutes. Closing the distance, he would hear the female complaining; it seemed she was not happy that he was a bit late. "Apologies, took a bit longer than I anticipated. Anyway, ready to go?" He chuckled, looking at the female.

Lilian sighed, exhaspirated. If someone didn't have anything better to say than just "I got here and it took a little bit longer than expected," that meant the person didn't really "expect" any time. Either that, or they did anticipate time but only anticipated the Utopian outcome, where nothing happens. A sailor always prepares for a storm, a driver traffic, and a student prepares for possible information that wasn't exactly wrote about in class, but still relate to the topic. That is how people succeed, punctuality and preperation. That was Lilian's philosophy, at least. She had no idea about this man. Either way, she decided to not further prolongue this interaction, so she adjusted her headband and bowed.

"Lilian Truth of the Truth Wyvern Corps, pleased to make your acquantence and pleased to be of service."

She wasn't some sort of maid, but she certainly sounded like one. Her voice didn't have the sarcastic tone she wanted to have, but it did its job nonetheless. The woman waited for an introduction, then mounted her wyvern, and grabbed her lance Vidofnir from within its pack.

"I assume you have already been briefed with the mission, but we should go over it just to be sure. There are thieves within the ruins who plan to use the treasures inside to do whatever wrongdoings they plan to do. Wow... That was very repetitive. Anyways - let's make them pay for attemtping to disrupt the peace of others!" Lilian raised her lance, then pointed to the temple she visited.

"I had a very quick look around the immediate area, and there seems to be none of these thieves nearby. Their only noteable hiding spot would be that temple, but no one was there. That means they are either master hiders, or they're deeper into the ruins. That means we've a good and a bad situation. We won't need to waste our energy this fast, but we might have to use more of it later on. We'd best pick and choose our battles."
