Post by Jiyu Kazehime 15th August 2016, 4:27 pm

She could hear them on the inside of the building, it drove her senses mad, and she wanted to cut off her new ears already, tail flicking angrily beneath her dress and cloak, unseen by anyone who happened to be passing by. How was she suppose to go back into the building that had become her home, the place where she slept and worked when not on jobs?! Jiyu was now considering herself a freak, a very endangered freak, if anyone found out what had happened to her. Kazehime had only sought to see her mother’s visage again, went chasing a wild tale of a Time Gem, and found it to be tree, not expecting anything else would happen. However, the wind mage had make a fatal mistake while training with her mother inside the spirit realm or whatever, she’d consumed her own blood, and it turned out that any blood consumed was enough to start a transformation, one Jiyu had not even known was possible! All she could recall was her mother saying she wished that her daughter had not licked her own blood and then swallowed, upon coming out of the Gem, Kazehime felt like death, agony and misery over taking her as she began transforming. The body of a human? Could never handle the powers of a half demon, which was what she now happened to be, what she had been the whole time, half dog demon, she just had not known it due to her blood being asleep and her mother hiding her own demon status. Now however, Jiyu knew she was a half demon, and anyone else that saw her would know it too, not to mention she didn’t even know about the demonic aura that most demons and halflings projected! Poor girl, she had no clue the other demons, the non humans in Black Rose, would have some idea of what she now was, the very second she walked in! Thought considering the sheer amount of Tanuki’s, demons and half demons in Black Rose, she might get away with her aura never getting noticed, if she never did a mission with anyone again, of course that was not happening, especially since she didn’t know about her demonic aura. The bottom line was the fact that Jiyu was paralyzed with fear, right outside the door to the SilverMoon.

Once she finally got up the nerve to put her hand on the handle to the door? It was thirty minutes later, and it took several heavy, nervous breaths to open the door. If she had been any bit lucid and in a clear thought process? She would have first noticed, brought up the memory that marschal was a half panther demon, and then recalled that their guild master was a Tanuki, and lastly remembered that a good deal of the guild was not exactly human either. While she had been convinced she was human? Jiyu had been one of the few to be sure she was entirely one hundred percent human, anyone who found out about her senses, pretty much had suspicions that she was something besides pure human. If Kazehime had been thinking right, this would be only a hit to her pride, one that she’d try to drown out and pretend never happened! It would just prove what some others already suspected. However after her transformation, she had become convinced her mother had been killed because someone suspected she was a demon, and that explained why she let herself die in the fire, escaping may have proven to the enemy that she was a demon, and thus her child had to be one too. Now? She knew her mother died to protect her! Upon realizing that, she became fearful whoever murdered her mother, would now come back for her, somehow knowing of her awakening as a half demon. That fear gripped her heart as she walked through the threshold, back into the Silver Moon, and she confirmed her own worry, several members of the guild were still inside of the restaurant that made up the first floor, winding down from the day.

In her attempt to hide what had happened? Jiyu did not realize that she actually made herself look more suspicious. First off? Ever since she arrived, the most she’d worn was jeans and marschal’s jacket on the first day! Even the dress she worked in, only came to her knees and was short sleeved. The cloths she entered the building in? Well she looked like a nun or something, far too covered up for someone who normally looked no better than a stripper, or as if she was ready to hit the beach every single day! Also it left her face as the only visible part of her, and that was bad in itself, everyone had seen the marks on the side of her face, the scratches and bruise covering it’s left side. However those no longer existed, her complexion was smooth once again. Jiyu should have known better, bought some makeup and got rings of invisibly to make her new features invisible or something, it would have been soo much more conniving than the dress and hooded cape she threw on! “I’m going to my room.”

Normally she at least played around a bit with someone, especially if she could find Marschal, but today she B lined for the stairs! It was weird, and the chances of no one trying to stop her and figure out what was going on? Didn’t exist.

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ B Rank

The name and reputation preceded her. Izayuki had heard a thing or two about the C-rank mage, and had seen her around the guildhall at times, usually standing at the job board or doing something that could only be described as casual or ordinary. No questions asked, and thus, the busy guildmaster had left her guildmate to do what she wanted. At the same time, the extrovert did indeed want to get to know Jiyu, but there was something that somehow always managed to stop her. A job, being busy and Jiyu not around, or Seika busting in with some more paperwork or more responsibilities to plague the Black Rose Guildmaster with. One day, they would meet. Though the human girl seemed small and frail, and Izayuki had noticed signs of injury from scent and sometimes sight alone, she knew that Jiyu hung around Marschal, and the panther yokai, her unbeknownst brother, would not let the girl get hurt.

But while having a few moments to relax inside the Silver Moon Inn, Izayuki unconsciously let a piece of the red velvet cake, a nice, tight, bite-sized piece, fall off her fork as she gazed towards the one who entered the guildhall. Jiyu was not wearing her usual attire, but something else was definitely up. Her entire aura had changed, and the Bakedanuki, who had a unique magic that allowed her to see spirits, instantly noticed the stark difference. Jiyu was no longer 'just a human'. She was no longer 'ordinary' or 'normal'. Ah, those disdained words.

Putting her fork back down on her plate, Izayuki quietly stood up and moved towards the stairs, much faster than the girl in the overly-modest clothes. She would attempt to cut Jiyu off, as indeed, her chances of removing herself from this situation were nonexistent. With unnatural speeds, the tanuki yokai briskly moved towards the girl with the demonic aura, and attempt to gently, but quickly, remove her hood. No permission, but since when did Izayuki ever ask for permission? "Heya, Jiyu, I think it's about time you and I get acquainted~" she said in a warm and cheerful manner, yet still retained a characteristic sly grin on her features. Ah yes, she knew what was going on, and was not about to let Jiyu escape it, if she could help it.

If the c rank mage was aware she had a reputation or that it preceded her in any sort of fashion? Well something like that would only serve to raise her ego to higher levels, and she did not need that whatsoever, Jiyu was already too confident in her own abilities sometimes! Considering what she had been through prior to her transformation, most people would not have been running around doing jobs and ranking up like she'd been. However? The female was strong mentally, and did not let her frail body get in her way whatsoever, sure she was not strong as she could be in the past, due to her injuries, but no one could tell her anything like that! That had been before thought, now the half demoness just wanted to run up into her room and hide there for eternity, not even open the door for Marschal, stay somewhere safe, where no one could hurt her for being born like this. Most demon's? Had their whole life to get used to being who they were, Jiyu had honestly thought until this evening that she was actually human. Also? No matter how much the Bakedanuki's bother tried to protect Jiyu, the wind user was normally extremely reckless and independent, so he could only really prevent her death, not stop her from doing dangerous things; Unless he wanted to tie her up like her captors had not too long ago.

Sadly? She never even saw Iza coming, the guildmaster had largely left her alone, for a very long time! Jiyu had no reason to suspect that the leader of Black Rose would suddenly become immensely interested in her, and block her way to the stairs. When Izayuki blocked her path, the small woman backed up, with an attempt to go around the higher ranked mage, a desperate attempt at getting away from the crowd in the restaurant and keeping her new secret from being found out. even with a tanuki staring at her face? She was still too panicked and freaked out by all of this, to connect the dots and see she was in no danger within these walls. Jiyu tried to jump back when the other female went for her cape, but to no avail, all these actions resulted in, as the new youki falling backwards.

"Heya, Jiyu, I think it's about time you and I get acquainted~"

It was today, just had to be this very day?! That her guildmaster decided she was someone that had to be learned about? Jiyu was nearly ready to cry, her body hitting the floor, while she caught herself, the action had caused her bottom to stick up in the air. First off? Iza had gotten her hood off, the cape had not been tied too well, so it fell of when the wind mage hit the ground, leaving her new ears in plain view. However the most damning thing, was the fluffy tail that suddenly stuck up out of her dress, revealing the jean shorts still on beneath it, but mostly revealing the long fluffy dog's tail. "Shit!"

However it was too late, and she knew it, when someone fell, everyone looked, the whole guild in the restaurant had already seen, and from them the word would spread. Everything was over, she had tears in the corner's of her eyes and anyone with a decent sense of sight or smell could tell that. Not knowing what else to do? She lifted her hand's to cover her new ears and shoved her new tail back beneath the dress, sitting on her knee's, hopping no one had seen. Jiyu knew they'd seen. She just couldn't make herself see that it didn't matter, she was too worked up.

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ B Rank

The reaction really was priceless, but as amusing as it was, Izayuki could not help but feel a pang of sympathy. After all, had this not been her many months ago? She remembered the time her own emotions had taken over and rendered her unable to control her shapeshifting. That was the instant that her guild had discovered the truth of her being a Bakedanuki. Yet right now? The guild had too many yokai or humans with animal features to really count, or keep in mind. Why was Jiyu so worked up about it.

The sly grin from before faded into a simple warm smile as the guildmaster crouched down in front of Jiyu as she fell. The features were obvious- they matched her soul, her aura, and her scent. She was a domestic canine, in a way. Similar to the tanuki, just less wild. That, and Jiyu was at least part demon. Typically, Izayuki looked somewhat down on demons, after recalling what had happened to her when she encountered Asmodeus, and later, Alice. Nevertheless, many demons continued to prove her distastes wrong. Jiyu might just have been one of them. The girl's hands went for her ears, seemingly in an attempt to hide them. She quickly hid the tail that had shown itself back under her dress. Crouching near Jiyu, Izayuki gently went for the other canine's hands, attempting to hold them and gently move and guide them away from her ears. There was nothing to hide. There was no reason.

"There's no need to be scared, Jiyu~" Izayuki murmured in a soft, warm, and sincere manner. "You don't have to hide yourself around us. Around your family."

Ever since she had joined Black Rose well over a year ago, the Bakedanuki had been swallowed by their family dynamic. Even though things had fallen apart not too long ago, the guild was still stable, and as their guildmaster, she strove to keep that atmosphere in their guild. Everyone was to be accepted, and welcome.

How could you not feel sympathy for someone who was nearly shaking out of their own skin, and looked as if they may cry at any moment? Honestly there was no way someone could do that, especially when that someone sported adorable little pointy elfin ears and one very long, supremely fluffy tail! When she took a few seconds to notice that hiding her features happened to be pointless, they had seen them already, she let her tail out out from between her tails, the entire length fluffed up in her fear, standing on end and bristling, perfectly still and curved at the tip. Even without the new features, like pressed downward pointed ears? It was clear to see from normal humanish body language she was uncomfortable, distressed, when you added that her physical language fell between that of a human and that of a dog; She looked absolutely pitiful! It was honestly sad to see someone who even when covered in bruises and burn marks, had regained the confidence to walk about in almost nothing, simply shrivel up and shrink back like this, large separately colored eyes beyond watery. Looking at Jiyu? It seemed as if the normally strong female might actually cry, and it was only to be expected, the whole event that lead up to this and the change itself, they struck cords she’d protected ever since her seventh birthday.

"There's no need to be scared, Jiyu~"

The half demoness looked at the Guild Master with disbelief. How could there to be nothing to be afraid of, when being a demon got her mother killed?! Suddenly she felt it again, the grip on her heart as if she was standing at the foot of her burnt down house once more. Back then? She had no idea what to do, loosing the most important woman in her life at the time, didn’t feel real, the fact she would never be back felt like a bad dream. However as time had faded, she’d not cried, turned numb until she found her mother’s magic book left to her, and then she cried. Her demon blood? Was something else her mother had left to her, but she couldn’t tell if that was a good or bad thing, either way it still brought her deceased mother closer once more, and that was what she really couldn’t take. If it was just adjusting to being turned into some part demon? Than she could cope with that, quite easily, she would just need time to think and sort it out! However this brought back the wound that had never really healed, her mother’s dead, the fact she had not been able to take revenge for it yet, so many things swirling in her head and overwhelming it as she looked up at Izayuki and cursed her internally for forcing this to happen. If the shifter had just left her alone tonight? This wouldn’t have happened!

"You don't have to hide yourself around us. Around your family."

She had a family once and if you counted blood, she still had one, her father was alive yet drinking himself to death in Peace Village. However? She had never felt at any sense of home or family after her mother died. In the whole village? Jiyu had been the only person to notice the person who set their house on fire, to everyone else including her father it looked like the older woman had fallen asleep with something left on the stove! Yet the little seven year old girl had known the truth, known what she saw before being sent to her father’s shop, and she’d lived everyday keeping it in her heart, unable to escape because the only people she told never believed her. Back than? She’d been taken as a joker and attention whore for telling the village that, and now that she was in a place that might listen, she knew very well might listen, the wound of being ignored and judged was just far too deep for her to speak up. Kazehime had grown apart from the notion of family, because what she should have called her’s and the one that should have been there for her when she needed them most, they were never there.

It was something she couldn’t protect herself from and tears started rolling down her face. Yuki wouldn’t have time to react before she had a half demon face shoved into her chest, and wrapped around her midsection.

“He’ll Come Back To Kill Me; Mother Died So He Wouldn’t Have Proof She Was A Demon! If He Finds Out He Was Right He’ll Come Back To Finish It!” and she was almost right, but the person who killed her mother had known the twenty some year old was a demoness, for he was as well. In truth? Her mother had been killed for mixing blood outside the family. Also the half demon did have reason to fear for her life, if her mother’s family found out she had inherited their blood in an impure form like a half breed, they would come for her life. Kazehime was still frightened of her own Guild, but she was speaking again, clearly and lucidly despite the sobs in her voice. Now? It was in the tanuki’s court. Right now, Iza was being trusted with information Jiyu had kept deep within her being for over a decade, something she’d stopped saying because it only caused people to dig the knife deeper! How the Guild Master responded, very well could predict how the rest of the inuki’s life went, from staying in the group, all the way to maybe healing from something that should have become a sore scar long ago, but was a still open gaping wound hidden under wraps, because no one had helped it heal before. As she cried into the other female? All she could see, ears pressed against her skull, was the eyes of the man who killed her mother, the grey and yellow optics that had haunted her dreams, erasing everything else about him from her mind, except for the fact he had killed her mother. Now? It felt more like she killed her mother, if the demoness had not been worried about proving her child a half demon, she might have fought back, survived!
