"NO GET AWAY!" everything was black and almost always was these days. The last thing of light she could remember? Was laying in her bed at Black Rose and watching the sun set, of course she also could have also been on a bench, that was also rather common, maybe more so than her own bed. However? None of that was important, all she could remember was one second she had been staring at that fading light, relishing it's last few hours and before that time was up the entire world had went entirely black. Ever since that day she had not seen even one tiny ray of light! Most of the time? Her hand's were kept tied behind her back, so tightly she could barely feel them and the sensation she did manage, was painful throbbing. Jiyu often found her ankles shackled together as well, tied and utterly helpless against her captors who she had never even seen. The worst part of everything right now thought? Was the heat she could feel licking within the room, the strong scent of smoke, of fire nearing her further along with their obnoxious laughter, her ears felt like they would split open listening to it.

    The flames touched her skin.
    She screamed.
    Damn it all!
    They Won.

Never in her life would Jiyu not be a feisty little fighter, in fact her wild child, won't listen to captors attitude was the reason she felt heat where her bikini's shoulder strap should have been. "Eat Or I'll Burn You Again." she really hated fire, and they'd figured it out at some point. Afterwards? When she refused to eat they got the lowest burning flame they could as if they didn't want to damage her too heavily, and burned her briefly in different spots on her upper body, mostly her shoulders and back, until she ate. Even thought she had no idea what was being forced down her throat? She hated it. Why had they even taken her anyways? Someone with her personality was not easy to maintain as a captive! In fact, she might be dangerous to keep, she'd bitten them several times already, it was why they kept her gagged if they weren't feeding her.  If she escaped? She could become a major problem for them and they had no idea; While they had taken her sight away? The inuki descendant could still hear their voice's so clearly, she could smell their scent's! If she ever got free, she'd know who they were.

Like she should ever be free again, but she had to believe she could fight her way out of this somehow.

"Get her ready, we're moving her." Why did they even want her anyways? She had nothing significant that she knew about! Every time she thought about it? Capturing her when she was just being an innocent little member of Black Rose never made any sense! The   female's mind whirled as she was lead out, fighting desperately every second of the way, tugging and trying to free herself of her bind's, until she let herself fall, her fight was doing nothing, so she'd become dead weight. Little did any of them know? A small boy was off by a few feet in the forest, witnessing everything.

They moved her, and she barely was able to do anything, it was horrid.

"No I swear Mommy, I saw a woman being dragged by scary looking things in the forest! She was really pale and short, and blind folded and had really long hair, it had orange tips I swear, she was wearing jeans, C'mon I'm not lying, she had a neat black rose on her stomach." Of course? As the story spread from town to town and eventually drifted back to the Rose Garden? The tale got changed slightly, thing's turned to men and than to ungodly beasts, short became fairy small or something. However by the time the little wolf boy's tale drifted to the city where the Black Rose Guild resided? The one thing that had become certain was people believed one of the Guilds member's was being held captive somewhere in the forest's of a town too small for a name, or near those woods.

    ❊ Saudade ❊
At the sound of a whining child, Marschal glanced up from the bottle of liquor in his hand and watched as a mother dragged her son away, kicking and screaming. His ears perked forward and he intently listened to the situation at hand, catching the words that the boy was uttering. Marschal's pupils rounded out from their slits, growing wide with realization and a hope that flooded his entire being. If what the boy was muttering and whining about to his mother was true, then he had hope that she was still alive. Darting his eyes away from the child, he looked down the opposite direction that the mother and son came from. He did not need to speak to the boy in the least, given a hint merely by where the duo had come from in the first place. Hopping off the bench that he had been seated on, the mage tossed the bottle of liquor away and began running in the opposite direction.

After a few minutes had passed of him merely running down the sidewalk, Marschal fell to all fours and powerhoused his way down the street. He did not want to waste any time in finding Jiyu, as an inkling ran through his veins that if it took too long, it would be too late. Jiyu had not been seen in almost two years now, and while he had been gone just as long, he had learned of her kidnapping. Maybe it wasn't a kidnapping at all, just a misunderstanding, but from what he had heard, she was forcibly taken from Black Rose. Now that he had returned to his home guild, he had made it his goal to make sure that he got Jiyu back from whereever it was she was taken to. Nobody, not even a single person in Black Rose, was allowed to lay a wrong hand on Jiyu, and these people. . . they did just that. Picking up his speed, the mage pelted down the street, lips pulled back in a snarl and senses working to find her.

His nails scraped sharply against the concrete of the sidewalk as it peeled off from the city that they were in, to a park forest. Leaping forward, the man landed a few yards away from the city and dashed into the forestry, breathing in the scents deeply. With that deep breath in, Marschal Leigh sent out a piercing roar into the air, breaking the silence and scattering birds. The roar did not sound like any creature known in Fiore, but it had been loud enough to echo miles like a lion's roar. He closed his eyes and a shudder ran down his spine, a familiar sensation overwhelming him as a sense of power encased the mage. She was close by, he could feel the weak aura of the woman not that far off, which was slightly odd to him. Wherever they were keeping her, it was not a nice place, especially since it was this deep into the forest by the city.

Slowing down his pace, Marschal lifted himself back into a standing position and sauntered through the dense shrubbery. Shifting from side to side, the man's eyes skimmed the vicinity, looking for anything that could be out of place. Deep within the confines of leaves and bushes, beyond what a human would be able to spot, the yokai noticed a peculiar cabin. Pausing in his tracks, he stared at it for a moment, like it was something foreign to him, then started walking toward it. He pushed past the branches and bushes and came upon the rundown entrance to a seemingly broken cabin of sorts. Perking his ears up, the yokai tilted his head a little and listened for any sounds that would come from the inside. Barely audible to even him, he could hear the hushed whispers of words being spoken, and that's when the door broke.

The men that were gathered in the hut looked toward the entrance that had dust curling upward and concealing the figure. In a matter of seconds, one of them had a hook to the face and the other had a jab in the stomach from a fist. Both men fell to the ground dazed, but it didn't take them long to get back to their feet and launch themselves at Marschal. Today would be the day that he took back what was his, and he would not leave this place until she was in his possession.

It was an incredibly odd thing for the proud and rebellious teen going on being a young woman to not notice someone around her. Under normal conditions? She would have scented te child that gave them away, or at least have heard his breathing and stayed silent in prayer her captors would not notice him. Under normal conditions, the female would have known rescue was on it's way if she assumed anyone wanted to save her life! However on top of not really think she'd bonded enough with anyone for them to want to rush off to save her like a damsel in distress(Which she refused to admit she was despite the current situation.) Kaze was just too worked up to realize anything but the deafening pounding her own hear and weakened breaths from her lungs. Sometime ago? She'd had been harder for them to move, but this time all she had left to her was to act as dead weight, and that hadn't stopped them from moving her whatsoever.

Running away, she always tried it when her leg's where not shackled and locked together keeping her on the ground. At this point thought? She should have known better than to piss them off, but she had once lived on pressing people's buttons until they snapped. Hime had to try and when she did an arm came into harsh, damaging, bruising contact with her stomach, she didn't even have the means to catch herself, in only seconds the entire side of her face was scraped and bleeding once more, expect where the blindfold that ensured she didn't need to see her own pitiful condition, protected her face, only a narrow strip. Honestly she was grateful sometimes that they blocked her eyes from the world, it also meant they couldn't see when her eyes welled up with tears she refused to allow to fall when she was being watched. Of course? Sometimes they'd burn her for the fun of it, until she cried because she felt she'd die if they kept going, when what she assumed was the higher ups went out.

They had done more than just lay a wrong hand on the teenager, since there were so many of them. At first? She had thought she knew it was like ten, than she thought fifteen and the number, eventually she lost it and didn't care to recall. Even if her sensitive hearing could say tell the difference between their heart beats or breathing patterns? She didn't want to remember anymore, better yet she hadn't wanted to know for some time. All she really needed to know? Was that she felt so weak and pitiful, angry and unjustified; They over powered her easily, forced her hand so many times, and she could do nothing each and every time despite her struggles, she lost each match. Eventually, it sometimes made her think maybe just giving up would be easier, but than she suspected they were trying to break her on purpose and really what did she have to lose, she'd rather dead than to admit they won and she broke.

The worn down and away claws on her feet scraped against the dirt as they pressed into her back and pushed her further down, the sometimes bleeding one's on her fingers desperately trying to catch their skin. Honestly? Her teeth, the fang like ones in-particular, attached to ever deteriorating gums, were the only thing threatening left to them, and they solved those with a gag, one day she was going to lose her teeth chewing threw them! All she could do was squirm as they tightened the shackles holding her leg's and than tied those to another chain bolted into the ground, tightening it until she could go no where unless they let her. Kazehime hated this, but the little energy she had gathered by being dead weight, collecting leaves, dirt, mud, twigs and such in her hair and allowing her jeans to get ripped, alongside the scrapes the rocks here and there caused on her body? That had run out, she kept twitching, the remnants of trying to wrestle her arms out of their ropes, but it wasn't happening, at least she couldn't physically do it.

Jiyu fought against the fog beginning to close in on her mind for what seemed like hours or days to her worn form. However? It was likely only minutes after they'd secured her, listening to the crackles and finally the last thing she heard before she was pretty much out cold, drifting towards never-land, was a loud crashing. That noise? Terrified her and the female's body seized in on itself once before she went out, curling everything above the waist in towards her bound legs. Honestly there wasn't even lots of pain to stop her anymore, just numb throbbing, eternal pricks.

When Leigh burst into the room and tried to make kabobs out of several men tasked with keeping Jiyu in place? If the male looked around the room he would be greeted by the sight of exactly who he was looking for, but it wasn't quiet the feisty midget he was used to, she was out cold and her chest barely rose and fell with each breath. However each of those tiny breaths? Was painfully visible due to how little she had eaten. Kazehime was covered in mud and muk, laying within that and her filthy rather matted hair which was now down to her waist, luckily providing some cover for the fact her top had long since ceased to exist during her captivity. Of course? She didn't know it was going to be over soon.

Never mind the fact she'd be rather irked if she found out he was referring to her as belonging to him.

    He was saving her thought.

If only she was conscious to see it.

She was safe, she just didn't know it yet.

    I hear hurricanes a blowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
    I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

Another of Jiyu's captors came rushing at Marschal, but the magus dove downward and sideswept the man's feet out from under him. The man came to a tumbling stop on the ground and with him down, this allowed for Marschal to get back on his own feet. Once he was on his feet, the young man grabbed hold of the shirt collar of the other, lifting him off the ground. With the man dangling in front of him, he bared his canines at his opponent and tossed him to the side of the building. As a result of the toss, the dazed man crashed into the woodwork of the cabin, causing the wood to splinter and crack. He did not get up after he was thrown into the wall, slumped over with his head hanging against his chest and unmoving. This granted Marschal the chance to focus on the two men that were on the ground, who were slowly getting back to their feet.

Already quite drunk off the alcohol from his gourd, Marschal breathed in deeply, then let out a slow breath of air. Intoxicating fumes leaked out of his maw, spiraling down to the ground, where it crawled along and billowed around the men's legs. As they were already "under the influence" from his intoxication aura, the captors weren't able to function very well. They stumbled around slurred things at each other and overall failed to truly accomplish what they were aiming to do. In their drunken stupor, Marschal was able to launch an attack on them, grabbing one by the throat and slamming his head first into the ground. The other captor quickly followed suit, having his head bashed into the wall near where the third attacker happened to be resting unconsciously. With both men down and out for the count, Marschal dusted his hands against his pants and cleared his throat.

The second that he finished dusting his hands off and had turned around to face Jiyu, a man plowed into his gut. This sent the magus flying backward and landing harshly on the dirt flooring, where he groaned and rolled onto his knees. Coughing slightly, the man breathed in deeply and let out another slow breath, so as to calm his currently broken diaphragm. Once he was entirely under the control of his breathing again, he let out a low and menacing growl toward his attacker. His lips were curled up into a snarl, baring long and sharp canines, and he stood gracefully back to his feet. Turning around casually, his fingers curled up into claws and as quick as a fox, he tackled the man to the ground. Claws dug harshly into the skin and tore at it, splattering blood to the ground until the man lay unmoving below him.

When he was finished with his prey, the magus stood to his feet and turned on his heels to face the unconscious men. With claws dripping blood, he walked over to the first in a nonchalant manner, raised a hand and let it come slashing down. Blood sprayed from the neck of the man he had just slit, speckling his pants and a bit of his bare, scarred chest. Another low and menacing growl emitted from his throat, as if it was a feral cat that stood in the cabin confines. His golden optics fluttered over to the second man that lay limp against the wall, still unmoving, though slightly breathing. In a matter of a few steps, the Black Rose magus was towering above the man, casting his shadow over him. This caused th captor to groan groggily and lift his head slowly until he was staring wide-eyed back at Marschal Leigh.

Baring own upon the culprit, his claws dug into the face of the other man until blood came pouring down his features. A scream emitted into the air as the man was literally torn apart from the face down, nothing left of him in the end. Marschal wiped his hands on his pants, smearing blood across them, then he turned to face Jiyu, who was locked up in shackles. Walking over to her, he knelt down next to her and picked up the chains that held her bound to the wall and floor. With a quick flick of his wrist, the chains were broken in half and dangling at her hands and feet with the sense of freedom. "How did you get yourself into this mess?" the magus inquired in a soft tone of voice, reaching out to touch her carefully. "You know, I'm not going to let you go out on your own anymore if this is how you end up all the time. . . in shackles."

Once she was accustom to his touch, the man slipped one arm under the back of her knees and the other near the small of her back. Lifting her up, he stood to his feet and gave the cabin a once over, deciding that there were no more captors here for issues. "I'm bringing you  back to the guild whether you like it or not," he ordered, making his way toward the door and walking out. "Though, I am still quite curious to know how you managed to get yourself into this amount of trouble in just two years." He let out a sigh and trudged back through the forest, holding her close to him, so as to keep the body warmth between the two. A low rumble emitted from his throat, a clear sign that the young man was purring; thus, attempting to comfort her. Suppsoedly, a cat's purr was one of the most comforting sounds for a human to hear; therefore, he'd try his best.

Post by Jiyu Kazehime 30th July 2016, 4:55 pm

Her world was not even a panic inducing blackness anymore, the blindfold was not required when she who was bound by it would see nothing even without it at the moment. While the wind mage held onto life by claws she once had and fang's she still possessed? For the moment, she didn't have the vast energy required to sustain a state of alertness in a body both weakened and injured; it had been two years since she was captured. At some point anyone had to give up or else their body did it for them, in the form of their final death, and her broken body was threatening her with that action, with every straggled breath she took, every pained fiber in her body just wanted to shrivel up and die, rot away as more of her senses failed and eventually her whole body ceased working! Jiyu's world wasn't even panic anymore right now, it was a frightful rest, the kind that if her captors were smart they would wake her from, out of fear their captive might not wake from it on her own, ever again. However the mage had every intention of breaking the desires of her weary form and waking up once more, after she rested some, honestly she could barely even breath right now, the rest would mean she'd not be required to feel the pain for a while.

An extremely loud banging sound was the captive sorceresses wake up call, only seconds after she'd slipped into blissful albeit black oblivion of darkened sleep. Word shattering? The female knew that sound of it, her ears seeming to twitch to it weakly  as she flinched on the ground, Had they broken off a smaller piece of wood from something, to burn her with once more? it didn't feel like she'd been out long enough for it to be feeding time again, so they must have been feeling exceptionally sadistic today, she couldn't think of another reason for such ha noise. Only, there was an extra scent, than the fact she'd heard a loud crash emit just before she passed out, raced back to her mind, pummeling her weary organ out of control as the panic induced from that sole sound began to course through her bound form once more. Despite the fact she believed no one had reason to kill her? She never believed anyone had reason for killing her mother either, and yet her father was the only parent she had left, a parent who would not believe his wife had been murdered by a mysterious man who came to visit just before the fire. Anyway's, it just went to prove that in her rushed brain this was more likely someone come to murder everyone in the room, as oppose to someone here specifically to rescue her after all this time. After all the time she felt had passed? The wind user often doubted anyone remembered who she was, her name or anything about her, forgotten off the face of the earth.

Suddenly the whole room smelled just like a tavern, that nose invading and extremely pungent scent only produced by straight up hard alcohol swiftly over taking the area. How come her prison suddenly had taken on the air of a tavern ready to let a fight break out?! Her ears could hear every single step of her captors, but they had grown so disoriented, their once fluid and mission orientated steps, now no better than a drunken beggars fumbling disorder. However someone in here was still walking with purpose, she wouldn't call his steps exactly sober there was something drunken about them, but they weren't flailing and aimless like the other people's steps. Somehow? This man seemed to know where he was going and what he was doing despite the fact all this drunken stupor scent came most heavily from his direction. Was the invader drunk or sober? Damn it, if he could be doing something like this drunk, she would hate to see the monster he'd be sober, maybe he would be drunk enough to take pity on the only shackled being in the room and not kill her! Jiyu still had not connected the dots to who had invaded the cabin, the female was too panicked to allow such lucid thoughts. Even if she'd dreamed, and her past had filled those short moment's with the only pleasure she had in her captive life? Connecting thing's you had only experienced in dreams for two years, to something currently going on and frightening to you, was another matter entirely.

There was a heavy thud against the ground, and she could pinpoint the hit man as the mysterious one, and part of her hopped her captors would not think she orchestrated this escape attempt! Now? She was loosing the ideal that the random drunkard would be able to take them down, especially since they'd kept her like this for two years, it was hard to believe some utter stranger unknowing of everything that had happened, could just waltz in and end all of this. However the desperate hopeful thought had been very pleasant while it lasted! Kazehime had adored entertaining the thought that any second someone was going to break her shackles and remove her blindfold, that the first time she saw since being taken, she'd be alive and looking into the face of whoever saved her. In the end thought it was just a fantasy and she knew better than to rely on fairy tales to save her life, it had never worked for anyone, and it wouldn't miraculously start working! Than the scent of blood filled the air, coppery, tangy, sharp and unmistakable, a shrill sound coming from the back of her throat as she started struggling with renewed vigor . It was not her captors who had won, it was their blood she smelled, and the mysterious stranger was still perfectly alright, moving. Oh damn it, she was going to be killed this was how it was going to end.

He seemed to wait after finishing the last of her prison guards, and she could make the image of some black figure looking down at her, in the depths of her head some stirred, from the sensory information coming  pouring from him. Was he evaluating her to see if she was even worth murdering at this point? Jiyu knew she probably  didn't look as if she could fight anything in her current state, but a book should never be judged by it's cover, she had plenty of fight left in her, she definitely did! The wind mage didn't want things to end like that, killed by someone's whose face she never even got to see, if someone was going to kill her, well than they'd have to look her in the eyes until her life faded from them! However nothing in her head prevented the hitch and acceleration in her breath when his form crouched down and hovered over her own, reaching for her chains. Was he going to release her and than murder her, or did he have some alternative motive for everything?! Kazehime was still panicking when her nose touched to his flesh softly due to his position, and than he leaned back, the contact going with him, soon being replaced with his hands on her, doing a small thing like trailing down her bruised arm or scratched up cheek.

As he begun to speak it all started connecting in the deep recesses of her mind
"Hey there, pretty, little lady. You look to be a little lost... need help with anything, m'dear?"
    "I'm never lost jerk.
    "

The first thought in Jiyu's head was how wrong he had just proven her, she had insisted ever since they met that she did not really need his help! However right now he was taking the title of a knight in shining armor by storm, his large and strong hands not once leaving her frail and weakened body as he moved to grip her in a different way. In her perspective? The way he lifted her still cuffed form, seemed gentle, the sound of her cut chains clanging together invading her ears, followed by the powerful steady beat of his heart. As the male held her against his chest? She allowed her mind to be taken away by the sound of his beating heart, a knot forming in her throat, it had been so long since she'd been able to hear the heart beat of another living being and cherish it. Even thought she was seething he was the one to prove she did get lost and she did need help sometimes? The mage was happy beyond compare to be held in his arms, shackled together legs and wrists dangling without resistance. For the first time in two year's? She felt safe.

"I don't know, I was watching the sunset, and than-take it off of me, please get the blind fold off. It hasn't come off- please get it off me."
she wasn't normally one to beg, but she hadn't seen anything in two years, she suspected the time from his current statement, body trembling as she breathed heavily,, she wasn't going to cry, maybe she already was sobbing, but she wanted the blindfold off. At the moment? She couldn't even hear the thundering of his heart, she just wanted the blindfold off her face, it had been there way too long, and she couldn't take it.

    I hear hurricanes a blowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
    I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

It was unfortunate that Jiyu was forced to live those two years away from the guild and have them ingrained in her head. Whereas, Marschal was stuck with not knowing what had happened in those two years of his absence from the guild. Right now, it was as if they were opposite of each other; they each had the memories of each other, like two puzzle pieces meant to fit together. Jiyu knew what had happened in those years of his own absence, and he had her memories of the years in her absence. They could share with each other the missing pieces of their memories, but perhaps neither of them knew they could. So until they realized it, neither would come to figure out that they could simply fill in the missing pieces of their memories. For now, they would share this single memory of their reunion together: the pinnacle of their new life forever and always together.

He was angry over it all, angry that these filthy men could lay a hand on the woman that he cared far too much about. Marschal didn't like that these fallen men had the capability of that, and that was why he had gone all out on them. Until none of them were breathing ever again, which none were now, he would not stop the onslaught of the massacre. The thought of being a legal guild magus was far beyond his own thought process, never once had it registered in his mind. What he should really have done was left them unconscious, but his anger had taken control of him and he had killed them. Blood was on his hands but in a way the blood that coated his claws had been justified blood, revenge that was needed. Jiyu could not fight on her own at the time, it only made sense that the blood on his claws was for her and her alone.

Despite having been completely shitfaced when he had attacked the men that had captured his beloved guild member, he was entirely himself. The only downside of the effects of the alcohol in his gourd was slurred speech and even then it wasn't that slurred. More importantly, it was the intoxicating aura that surrounded the young magus that had allowed for him to take advantage and win. If it hadn't been for the men being affected by the alcoholic aura that enveloped the tiny room, perhaps he would not have won. He was strong, though, so it was no doubt that he was able to beat up a few measly humans and free Jiyu. She had needed him and like the savior, he was meant to be, he had gone out and come to her aid at her beckon and call. Now, she was free and in his arms, and that was all that mattered to the Black Rose magus as they made their way home.

The purring in his chest would not stop, as it was a form of comfort not only for Jiyu, but perhaps even for himself. Everything that had happened earlier had been overwhelming to him, yet he was glad that she was all right. Sure, there were a few cuts and bruises over her body from her captors, but he knew that those would heal with time. It was the memories that were ingrained in her head that made him fearful it would stunt her everyday activity in some way. He knew that traumatizing events such as this would majorly affect the way a person worked for the rest of their lives. Either, they would come out strong from what had happened to them or they would succumb to the fear it brought. What he wanted most was to see Jiyu go back to her normal self after this, though he had an inkling she would always remain different.

Whether she shared what had happened in this two years she had been missing from the guild would be entirely up to her. He would not, in anyway, force her to speak about the events had had occurred in her absence and his search for her. She was already hurt enough, he would not make her relive the tales that would haunt her memories for the rest of her life. So, all Marschal Leigh did was hold the blindfolded girl close to his chest, letting his purr vibrate over them. When she began to speak, he looked down at her face and only then did he realize the blindfold on her features. In all honesty, he felt a bit dumb for not having noticed that it was on her face from the start, and he was meant to have impeccable vision. Sighing, the magus adjusted Jiyu in his arms until she was comfortably settled on one and he could freely use the other.

With his free hand, the magus reached up and tugged the blindfold off, pulling it free and letting it drop to the ground. His scarred face brightened into a smile and he chuckled a little as he looked over the frail features of his woman. "There's those pretty eyes I missed," he stated in an extremely calm manner despite what had just happened moments ago. Not saying another word to the woman as they walked through the forest and entered back into Rose Garden, he nuzzled his face into her neck. Breathing in the natural scents that carried on her, it was like feeling at home once more, in spite of former events. She still carried scents that he recognized, scents that had once been from the guild that no longer existed in Bosco. How he missed her so much and how glad he was that she was in his arms, safe and sound, for the rest of her life.
