In Search of a home (Intro/Open)

Gala slowly stepped into the guild known as Black Rose, he had been traveling for a long time and now he had decided to see if this would be someplace he could finally call home, he poked his Coral haired head inside and glanced around nervously.” Hello is anyone here I’m interested in joining” he said softly as he stepped inside and glanced around, his tanuki features were not on display as he did not know anyone and untill he was sure he was safe he wouldn’t reveal them at all. Sniffing the air the man could smell several scents in the building but none were very distinct.

Deciding to wait for someone to approach him the man stepped up to the bar and ordered a small glass of jasmine tea and sat on a barstool while he waited.

As soon as he was handed his tea Gala heard a someone speak to him, he turned towards the direction of the voice and he saw a young woman talking to him , what really surprised him was that she had tanuki ears and the tail of one as well it made him rather happy to know he was not the only one left. She stood and told him that this was the guild of Black Rose and then asked him his name.He snapped out of his wonder after a moment and he spoke.”I’m Gala Tebiki a wandering mage and cook and you are?” he asked with a small smile on his face as he asked for her name.

If there were more people like this woman I the guild who were like him then he would fit in perfectly here, he hoped that thru the girl in front of him he might have a way to find the rest of the Tanuki species since this was the first time he had met another one in over one hundred years.

Rei had been sitting at the bar only a few seats away as this stranger had sat down. He was to her left, and she could see him out of the corner of her good eye. She had a glass of vodka in her hand, even though no matter how much she drank of anything she never could get drunk. it just went through her like water, she only drank it because of the extremely strong burning sensation it would give her that she loved.

She noticed that Iza had began a conversation with this newcomer that seemed to be interested in joining the guild, So she leaned to the left just slightly, tuning in on their conversation and taking a sip of her drink.

Gala bowed his head politely as Izayuki introduced herself as the guild master and said that she saw no problem with him joining but when she mentioned that he was a bakedanuki he momentarly panicked and his human disguise wavered before vanishing showing his true form to the pink haired woman. His hair shifted from pinkish to deep green and two tanuki ears and a large bushy tail appeared behind him.”oh damn it my disguise broke” he said with a sigh before he just took a drink of tea, he knew it didn’t really matter to Iza since she was like him so he figured he could be himself around her and he left his disguise off.

When she Welcomed him into the guild and told him the tea was free he smiled back to her.”Thank you very much Iza by the way who made that cake you have I can tell just from the sight and smell that whoever made it is extremely skilled in baking” he said as he sniffed the air for a moment and could smell the cream cheese frosting and the chocolate of the cake and it made him slightly hungry, the taunki wanted to meet the one who worked at the in and see just how his cooking stacked up to his own.

"Giving away food and drink for free again Iza?" a young boy with scarlet red hair said walking in holding three plates, two with his hands and one with a tail. "You really are a nice person." he added putting the three plates onto the bar and turning to face the new comers. "This one must of caught your eye for you to leave one of my special cakes behind. Best be careful someone else doesn't take it...its pretty popular." With that he turned and looked at the new comer. A fellow cook? Well, it would be good to have one amongst Black Rose other than himself. It had been a while since there was anyone but him in the kitchen. Well, apart from those he hired to help out but they were generally temporarily, much to his chagrin. The last person to truly be part of his kitchen was Jin. Ah he missed Jin and little Kaya. If they returned again he wondered if they'd be able to find the guild. It was quite far from where it used to be and there wasn't really any traces left of the old guild.

"Anyway, enough of you Iza, hey there newcomer. The name's Magna Victus, head cook and ace of this humble guild. If you're good in the kitchen you're more than welcome, though you'd be welcome anyway." he said with a slight smile his tail wrapping around his waist so it was out of site. "We're always open to new members. Do you want anything to eat with the jasmine tea? Perhaps some Dragonwell pork dumplings? Or if you fancy something a bit spicier I have some hujiao bing." He was quite skilled at pairing food with drink and his dragonwell pork dumplings were specifically designed to pair with green teas like jasmine. His hujiao bing were also pork based and he had a variant planned which he felt would work well with green tea, but he hadn't tested it yet. He was pretty sure it would work, but he'd have to get someone to test it and here was someone who might be able to. It would be good to get another chef's opinion, especially on the pairing with the jasmine tea.

Neyvahn walked through the tavern door with his armor all tattered. "Ahh, home sweet home." He thought to himself.

"Glad to be back," the voice in his head hummed in a relieved tone. They had just gotten back from a job off in Hargeon Town, and a glass of lemonade iced tea was sounding better than ever. Neyvahn stretched his arms and began walking towards the bar. He spotted Rei there with a glass of vodka in her hand... again. Why was she always drinking? He had never seen her drunk, and they were living in the same home.

Neyvahn was going to walk up to her, but he noticed something off at another section of the bar. Iza was sitting there with what looked like another yokai like her. His hair was deep green with similar ears to Iza's, and he also had the bushy tail. Neyvahn sighed. "Don't tell me that Iza has a sibling. I can barely handle her, let alone another crazy yokai."

Kei just laughed. "I don't know, but we should find out!"

Neyvahn's hair and cat features slowly turned from grey to white, and his left eye went from light blue to violet. "Kei! No, stop it!"

"Too late~" Kei took temporary control of Neyvahn and straightened himself up, trying to ignore the tattered armor. He walked up to the bar and stood next to the two Bakedanukis.

"Who's this, Iza? I've never seen him around here. A friend of yours, maybe?" Granted that Iza would introduce the stranger to him, or the Bakedanuki would introduce himself, Kei would hold his hand out and greet the man. "It's very nice to meet you. My name is Neyvahn Keyvolo." If he wasn't introduced, then Kei would persist in learning the man's name. He could be a very interesting ally, not to mention a good way for Neyvahn to get rid of his dislike for Iza... and yokai in general.

As Rei continued to listen to the conversation, She scooted over a seat in order to hear them better. The talk about spicy food was more than inciting. "Did i Hear spicy? can I get in on something spicy?" She asked magna, "make the spiciest dish you have, I can eat it!" She said almost triumphantly considering she could beat anyone in a pepper eating contest, extreme flavors didn't phase her like they did some people, but one bit of cake would make her sicker than sick.

She saw as Ney had also entered the tavern returning from a job, and watched as he was once again in inner turmoil with the little voice in his head, which ended up taking over and instead Kei came over to greet the group.

Rei took a swig of vodka before wrapping her arm around Gala and standing up with her cup in her other hand. "It's nice to meet'cha! Im Rei, like they all said your more than welcome here anytime!" She ruffled his hair before sitting down in her chair again. she didn't care if she invaded his personal space, he'd have to just get used to it.
