The Child behind the Suit

Ruminal was asked to cover for a particular person for the day. This person was feeling sick and couldn't work so he needed someone to cover his shift tomorrow. Who is this person and what does the job entail you maybe thinking? In due time, please be patient. Ruminal was to cover his 11 am to 11 pm shift and had till then to learn as much about the position as possible. He went to a library to learn all he could and even practiced a bit at home in his room till he had to get enough sleep for tomorrow. He showed up an hour early and there were already some chiefs and waiter's/ waitresses already prepping for the day ahead. Ruminal was wearing a black tux and had his hair brushed back and in a ponytail so he could look the part. Everyone there tried their best to give Ruminal any other additional information he might need while getting everything ready.

Finally it was 11 and his shift now started. Ruminal stood behind a counter on top of a stool so he could be easily seen over the counter. Now what is this job? Have you guessed it yet? He was to cover for the guild bartender! Now now!!! I know what your thinking, WHAT!? He can't be a bartender!!! He's only six years old! Well in truth Ruminal was his last resort or the bar would be closed for the day and no one would want that. The guild's bartender backup was away on vacation and many of the guild members who were old enough were to busy today or away on jobs. He considered putting up a job notice for it but didn't have the time or felt well enough to deal with everything involved with that. Besides, Ruminal maybe six physically but he was more then qualified mentally. He was very smart and a quick learner.

For the next few hours everything was going smoothly. It thankfully wasn't that busy at the bar leaving Ruminal to breeze by the hours with no troubles. Most of the people that came in sat at tables to order food of which the waiter's took care of them. During this slow time one of the waiter's who knew the bartender very well was helping Ruminal learn even more about the position. So far so good as they say. While Ruminal waited for a customer to serve he hopped down from his stool and started going through the glasses below to make sure they looked like they were properly cleaned and if not clean them off a bit better with a fresh wet cleaning rag from the sink.
