Vicious Lycans? Best Training Ever! [Oliver/Takumi/Closed]

"Left jab to the body, left jab to the body, and a right uppercut to the chin!" Oliver shouted as he launched the final combo that would knock down the Lycan that attacked him out of nowhere, sending him into the depths of unconsciousness. It was midnight, and in the scary-looking forest that was the Lycan Woods, no normal person would be there at this time. No normal person would fight beasts with boxing gloves either, but Oliver did just those two things. Lycans were dangerous, sneaking up on you at the perfect times. You had to be fast and strong in order to take them out, which is exactly why the boxer came out here every now and then. If he couldn't survive in these woods, he wouldn't be able to take on the world of magic anyway.

"wow, this sure is making me sweat buckets, and it isn't even the daytime! I love it!" Oliver shouted in excitement. He knew that his voice would attract more enemies, but he was prepared. At the moment he was in his upright boxing stance with his left arm and leg leading since he was right-handed. The challenge was that he had to be aware where an opponent would come from. Several trees were placed in the area he was in, so lycans could use that to there advantage, either sneaking in from behind one of them or jumping from the branches above, lunging at the human. Oliver had dark skin, wore a dark blue tank-top dark blue boxing trunks and some dark brown boots, so you would think that he would blend into the setting, but he also had bright red gloves on, so the enemy could spot him from far away. Even if he blended in perfectly, humans had a distinctive smell, allowing the lycans to track him down like that.

Takumi was also trying when he heard Oliver's voice. "Is there someone out there?" Called the ice mage, blue eyes narrowing as he made his way to investigate the source. He ran one hand through his white hair and kept a tight grip on Sakura-no-hana, his huge double headed Scythe. The ice mage called his pet, who was in his falcon form, down from the sky to find the source of the voice. Takumi adjusted his black cloak as he swept through the underbrush, following his pet. His green spiral pendant around his neck seemed to glow faintly, which would indicate danger, but Takumi paid it no mind, intent on his search. "Who's there?" The ice mage called out again, knowing full well his voice would attract any enemies.

As soon as Oliver heard someone's voice behind him, he did a 180 turn, ready to send a one-two combo the person's way. The strange voice asked who was there, then it's owner showed himself, walking around the trees of the forest. The white-haired male held a huge two-headed scythe with both of his hands. He was probably trying to be intimidated, but Oliver didn't stand for it. The boxer stood proud, still in his upright stance. He had a blank expression on his face. He didn't know how to feel until he asked the man a question.

"Just a mage doing some training. These lycans are vicious enough to give me a good workout every now and then. What about you? Here to cause any trouble?" Oliver asked. He really hoped that he wouldn't have to fight the scythe wielder. Perhaps they could be good allies in the future.

"What? No. I was training when I heard you shouting." Takumi looked at the other person before sensing something coming and instinctively whirling around to smack a Lycan away before it could hurt him. The ice mage sliced his scythe through the air and put a quick end to the creatures concious state. He moved to step away from it with disgust, eyes shining bright in the dim lighting.

"Ah, well good work with the Lycan take-out," Oliver replied to the stranger who explained that he was in the woods for training and then proceeded to beat up a Lycan that attempted to surprise attack him. Oliver got out of his stance and walked forward, stopping when he was a foot and a half away from the man. He held out his right hand, hoping that he would get a handshake. He smiled as well.

"So, I am not the only person willing to train in the dead of night then, ha. Well, you are welcome to stay here and fight with me. Maybe it will improve our teamwork skills, since there are plenty of jobs that require more than one mage out there, if you are a mage that is. I am Oliver by the way. Your name?" Oliver asked.

"I am in fact a mage. And my name is Takumi, The Lion of Fairy Tail." Takumi shook Oliver's hand and looked around. "So you train here? I've got a spot with way more Lycan than this you know. Perhaps you'd like to see?" The ice mage gripped Oliver's hand once before releasing it, and then narrowed his eyes. "I think there's a Lycan about." Said the shorter boy with a look of recognition in his eyes. "And it's a big one judging from all the noise it's making. Want to take it down with me?"

"Ah, a mage apart of a guild? Not familiar with any of the names, but it must be great to be in one of them," Oliver replied, being a little jealous. For the last few weeks he has been wanting to join a guild, going from location to location to check out the different ones. Perhaps he could join this 'Fairy Tail' that Takumi was apart of. He would ask more about it later.

Takumi then went on to say that he had a spot where way more lycans were crawling around, asking Oliver if he wanted to go there. Before the boxer could answer however, Takumi told him that there was a big lycan about, then asked if he wanted to help him take it down.

"Sure. Let's get ready then," Oliver answered, getting into his stance.

Takumi nodded, gripping his scythe. "Sakura-no-hana gun form!" Cried the young ice mage. The Scythe transformed into a single handheld pistol, which he aimed at the bushes nearby, which were rustling. "Come on, you vicious beast..." muttered Takumi under his breath as he looked on. His pet watched silently nearby, emerald eyes wide to see Takumi willing to work with another mage like this. That normally didn't happen at all. The shapeshifter sighed and moved to stand next to his master, grabbing his master's sword from its sheath on Takumi's hip.

Shockingly for Oliver, Takumi changed his scythe's form into that of a gun, aiming it towards the bushes. He then told someone to come on, resulting in a human to reveal themselves, having been previously hiding in the direction that the gunner aimed his weapon at. After that the stranger grabbed Takumi's sword from his hip, ready to fight with the group.

"Ah, another one of you. Well, I am Oliver and it is a pleasure to meet you. Your name?" Oliver smiled and held his right hand outwards, attempting to shake the man's hand. He pretty much gave the same greeting that he gave Takumi. After the man either accepted or denied the handshake, Oliver would get back to his stance, ready to fight the beast that was coming their way.

Wist ignored him, as silent as ever. "That's Wist. He dosent talk much. He's my pet." Said Takumi. Just that moment an enormous Lycan jumped out of the bushes. Takumi fired off several quick shots, aiming for the head rather than any other targets. One connected, but hit the torso of the creature instead. Takumi's pet fiddled with his green amulet and raised the sword, knowing that one bullet wouldn't take a Lycan of this size down unless it was a bullet straight to the brain.

The stranger ignored Oliver, but Takumi explained that he didn't talk much. The gun-toting mage also said that he was his pet, which made a red flag go off in the boxer's mind, but he didn't have time to think about that. He was waiting for the lycan to attack, which came out of the bushes in front of them a few seconds later. It ran at the group of three on two of it's feet as fast as it could. It was hungry for human meat at that moment.

Takumi shot at the beast several times, but only one of his bullets hit, and it landed in the lycan's torso, which didn't bring it down. It still came at them as fast as it did before it got hit. That was when Oliver ran right up to it, jumped a few above ground and hit it with a good right cross (punch with the right hand) that landed on the monster's left cheek. The lycan staggered back a bit, but it regained it's balance quickly. As soon as Oliver landed back on the floor he punted several meters away from the group by one of the opponent's feet.

Takumi roared with rage, louder than the lycan, and proceeded to fire off multiple shots at once, still yelling the entire time. His pet charged in with Takumi's sword, which was giving off flames, along with enormous amounts of heat and light. It was almost painful to look at. The shapeshifter dodged a swipe from the lycan and lunged with the sword in his hand, thrusting towards the monster's face. Takumi growled in frustration. Wist was in the way, he couldn't risk shooting and accidentally shooting his faithful pet.

Oliver landed with his back to a tree, falling to the cold hard ground right after. He didn't feel like getting up after that, since it was going to take a lot of strength to stand now. However, he had to in order to help out his allies. What if they were having a hard time with the fight? His punches could help them out a bunch.

Oliver ran through the forest until he reached the group. Wist lunged a fire-engulfed sword at the lycan's face, which was sure to connect and deal significant damage. Takumi was struggling to fire his weapon since he probably didn't want to hurt his friend.

The boxer ran until he was also in front of the lycan, standing aside Wist and launching multiple punches at their opponent. That with the sword about to stab his face would probably cause the lycan to drop to the floor unconscious.
