Icarus woke up to screaming.
Not the painful kind, the kind you hear when your father is beating your mother. When the baby is left alone in the crib for too long. When you know it is now that you need to hide, or else your already bruised body would become more fractured and broken.
He quickly scrambled out of his bed as he heard Footsteps pounding up the stairs and the wail of his mother begging the heavy man to stop pulling her hair. As fast as he could he made the bed and stood perfectly still beside it as a large, overweight man barged through the door.
A strong odor of piss, alcohol, drugs, and sweat reached Icarus’s nose and it took everything in his power to not recoil.
The man threw a lady, dirty blond hair, covered in grime, and only about 30 years old, onto the floor before Icarus.
“You’re scum bag mother refused to treat me boy.” The mans voice was wet and sounded like the squish of mud as you walked through a swamp. “Come here.” The man lunged for Icarus
Icarus knew exactly what the man wanted. So Icarus ran.
Unsuccessfully…
As the man grabbed Icarus and started beating him, leaving bruises and breaking bones. He kicked him into submission and as he recoiled and sat on the wall he let the man try and tear his clothing off. Done with the world, he wished the man would just kill him.  
“Icarus, let go.” A faint, soft feminine voice rang from nowhere yet everywhere. “Let me protect you.”
Terrified of what the man was going to do again, Icarus let go. His mind retreated from everything around him. He watched as something took control of his body. A demon-like mask covered his face and a low growl came from his voice. His legs came up and kicked the man with strength Icarus didn’t know the body had, sending him flying across the room and into the wall, breaking the dry wood there. Icarus’s body stood, in his hand he held a Jaded Spear. Its shaft fit perfectly.
“Leave him alone you filthy, slimy, ugly piece of cow shit.” A voice, compelled by someone other than him, came from his body's mouth. It was feminine and different than his own.
“Who are you to talk to me like that bitch!” The man stood up from the rubble of the wall, he had a few cuts on his face from the fall, but he looked pissed. Icarus retreated even further into the recesses of their mind. Afraid of what the man would do. Wanting to escape from it all.
All the sudden in a flash or blue, the man stood in shock. Two seconds later he fell to the ground, his head completely severed from his body.
The entity controlling his body laughed then went over to the window. Climbing out of it they deftly leapt to the room and studied the busy ground below them from the top. It was oddly peaceful.
“Who are you?” Icarus thought to himself.
“I am Hybris, I came into existence because you summoned me. I will protect you. I will protect us.”
And so began the journey of them learning how to live in the same body together, and to navigate the world, together.

He wears only a matching glove on his hand and his shoulder is bare to show the markings that were left by Hybris when she first fronted.
Hybris got the left side of their body. She basically is wearing what icarus’s side is yet added certain accessories such as a boned shoulder pad, long sleeve, a jeweled bracelet, a small pouch holding healing materials, and a styled loincloth on top of their pants.

Icarus is a young teen who was abused ever since he was born. His father, an Alcoholic and druggie, was his main abuser. At the age of 14, when his father decided taking what he wanted from Icarus's mother wasn't enough so decided to take it from him, during this moment, Hybris came to Icarus's rescue. In his fear Icarus created a new person, inviting their spirit into his body to protect him, and Hybris called. Her demonic spirit taking over and throwing the Man off of their body.
Because of his past Icarus never had any friends, he was never allowed to interact with kids their age, so he is often a introvert in many situations, quiet and recluse, yet once he feels comfortable with an individual or groups of individuals he is a really upbeat, goofy, and hilarious kind of guy. He is also a very just character, he hates death and signs of abuse. Because of Hybris he indeed does know how to kill and defend himself should she never be there to help him, but he wants to avoid conflict at all costs.
Hybris is much opposite of Icarus, Having been locked up in hell, tortured by hundreds of other demons, Hybris is very skeptical of anyone and everyone. Even when she becomes comfortable with people she is quite, observant, and judgmental. Having access to all of Icarus's memories, she gained a huge attachment to him and if any kind of threat presented itself, she often shoved to control of the body. She will kill first think later, if it weren't for Icarus being the voice of reason.
Both have a mutual agreement to avoid killing, as the first few instances were she killed, Icarus was so upset that he refused to eat or drink for weeks, the only reason they ate was because she forced herself to Front on the body and ate for them. Despite this agreement, Hybris still has a will to kill and thus often takes on the more heinous jobs that force them to kill, in which case Icarus often agrees with her on the death because of the threat said entity created.

Likes:

• Both Hybris and Icarus love Quiet places, this is because they both can relax, and reflect on things in their life and clear their mind from the hustle bustle of surviving.
  
• Icarus absolutely loves Bubbly people. Mostly because, to him, their personality is welcoming and unthreatening and he craves their kind of care free behavior.
  
• Hybris loves seeing heads roll. As a demon, she constantly has the urge to kill and enjoys it fully, yet because she loves Icarus so, she refrains unless there is mutual agreement that an entity should die between both of them.
  
• The both love flowers, even a demon can appreciate the beauty of the earth so when Icarus showed Hybris a field of flowers, she fell in love with the beauty of the natural land.
  

Dislikes:

• Both personalities dislike loud bustling areas, because Hybris gets really agitated with the amount of possible threats, which often that aggravation is passed onto Icarus making both their experiences in those areas negative.
  
• People who are always, “No death! No death! No death!” really bug Hybris. These are usually super legal people who often prefer mercy over hard truth. (Excluding Icarus)
  
• Temperamental People irritate both Icarus and Hybris, mostly because Icarus's father was a very temperamental person and anger outbursts often make them uncomfortable and/or scared.

• Hybris has a strong urge to Protect Icarus and their body from any or all harm that could become of them.
