The sheet of brown old paper ruffled within her hands as the young princess of Wintershield folded read through the lines that was written on the mission sheet. She lifted up her eyes ever so gently, her dark eyelashes fluttering with every movement and released a sigh. The first ever mission the Ice wizard had to do was to find the puppies and now to deliver a letter, which was something she had not expected after she finally joined a guild. The young girl had been hoping for some combat, nevertheless, she found herself doing pointless jobs such as delivering letters. Her cerulean hair sailed behind her along with the momentum of the breeze and her bangs whisked past her silver eyes every now and then.
Her black wedged boots clacked against the ground as Snowflake proceeded towards the direction of her client’s location. A quiet neighbourhood, it was – detached houses aligned next to each other both on the opposite sides of the road. It appeared to be a crowded place, with numerous buildings yet no one could be seen.
”25G.” Silver eyes darted around the place, searching for a number plate that stated the aforementioned number. Her slivery orbs shifted towards the golden number plate that was fixated at the walls of the gate. Her attention flicked to the massive house that towered above her and all she could do was to stare at the establishment. Snowflake was surprised by such a luxurious building, despite how she barely showed any emotions of astonishment.
A pretty face, that she had but with a heart made of ice, Snowflake was hardly liked or adored by her relatives back in her kingdom. Children of her same age would began calling her
’Dry Ice’ or
’Ice Princess’ but she could not care less about what they talked behind her. The guards at the gates seemed to have noticed Snowflake, seeing how they were staring at her awkwardly.
”Can I help you?””I’m looking for Sir Nathan to assist him with the request he applied for.” The young wizard watched the guards exchanged knowing glances before they opened the gates, followed by a loud clash.
”I shall escort you inside.”Rich and abundant of luxury – the first thought that crossed her mind the moment she entered the building. The place was extravagantly polished that one could not even spot a speckle of dust in the corner. Delicate steps resounded throughout the empty building as a man emerged before her eyes. He appeared to be in his late fifties, although he seemed to be fit and healthy for his age. They began discussing about the mission she was supposed to complete; not to anyone but to his only childhood friend and love interest. Holding the letter firmly in her hands, the Ice wizard departed the building and progressed towards the studio he had mentioned. Upon her arrival, she was stunned to see the number of adolescents, females and males alike, flocking up in front of the building.
Probably to see her, she thought, wondering how she would ever get through the mob that was chanting words, which seemed to be the actress name.
Without realizing, Snowflake was already in the middle of the crowd, only to be carried to the front of the crowd by the rest of the people pushing and fighting over who gets to see the actress first.
”A letter from Sir Nathan.” She uttered to the nearest guard, receiving a suspicious glare from him in return.
”Nathan?!” A shriek echoed through the area, silencing the entire crowd. Silver eyes trailed towards the source of the voice – the owner no other than the actress she had been looking for.
”For you.” Snowflake handed out the letter in her hands and the look of happiness and relief was apparent on her face.
Well, I suppose my job is done here.647/500
