- THE JOB:
Job Name: Parousia
Job Rank: A
Job Requirements: Must be an A rank Mage. Must defeat Ein Heim. Must have 400 words a post and 40 posts mimimum.
Job Location: Ancient Ruins
Job Description: A new sort of enemy arrived in Fiore through what seems to be portals of time? The enemy is unlike anything anyone has ever seen, machines with minds of their own and can act freely. Their bodies are lethal weapons on their own, ramming into cement covered buildings for fun and causing havoc. This added with their heavy weaponry and destructive nature leaves the Rune Knights with no choice but to take out the Machine Knights themselves. War has been declared on these new enemies, but the Machine Knights focus on getting to the Ancient Ruins instead, something luring them there, but what it is has not been confirmed yet.
On your way to investigate the ruins, a man and his wife will introduce themselves as Frey and Bell. Frey is a Swordsman who dresses as fancily as one would expect the future to be, yet he is armed with what seems to be a regular one-handed long sword. He is able to confirm that he knows where the Machine Knights are heading, which you already knew, but he also knows their source of power. Bell is his wife, raised in church after being left behind by her parents, she has grown up with a sensitive yet strong personality. Guiding Frey along as his wife, she protects him with her healing magic, but she is unable to fight effectively and does not have as much knowledge as Frey.
If you end up meeting Frey, he will tell you of an ultimate machine known as Ein Heim, a giant Machine Knight designed to rule all over Machine Knights and give them orders. Instead, the first time Frey and Bell fought it, Ein Heim went haywire and sucked itself in the Time Vortex, in which it seemed to have accidentally killed itself. Seeing it again shows how it was still going nuts and trying to suck up all of space and time once again. However, being low on energy, it is calling all Machine Knights towards it so Ein Heim can gain all of it's energy again.
Frey informs you that it must be stopped as soon as possible, and that he and Bell beat it once, but lacked their third partner. They invite you to party up with them so that you all can fight it all together. Joining up with them is up to you, but regardless, you now know that you must fight Ein Heim and defeat it. Expect heavy resistance from the Machine Knights that stand in your way.
Allies:
Frey - A swordsman that does not know much about magic and often avoids using it. Friendly inside and outside of combat, but very aggressive when it comes to swinging his sword. For each strike of his mighty sword, he inflicts A rank damage, a good frontliner for this battle. If Bell is no longer able to fight, he rushes off to her to protect her, no longer able to fight by your side. It takes five A rank hits for him to be knocked out.
Bell - A priestess that used to be in training, but she finally mastered it and became Frey's mentor, teaching him how to be a Bishop. Her specialty is casting out healing magic, for every turn in combat, she heals all allies health by 3%. She also tends to be the first person that the enemies target, meaning you must protect her at all costs. She inflicts C rank damage with her staff and will be knocked out after three A rank hits.
Enemies:
Weak: Thabit: A Spider-like robot that attacks by pouncing. It's annoying with it's speed, but can only inflict so much damage with its size, only one B rank at a time. It takes only one B Rank hit alone to kill this machine.
Normal: Thabitor: It seems the Machine Knights are stepping up their game, this enemy was designed to mimic an actual human, but its metal plates make it hard to inflict damage upon, and getting into its paralysis attack can be a real pain. With every hit, this monster inflicts A rank damage. It takes 3 A Rank hits to eliminate.
Paralysis Charge: Takes one turn to charge, and will more often that not be the first resort it uses when approaching an enemy. Thabitor casts out an electric shock that attacks all enemies that are not consider Machine Knights. Anyone struck with this will not be able to move for one turn (During that turn, Thabitor can not charge another Paralysis Charge)
Strong: Thabitest: These annoy Machine Knights are rare, but for a good reason. It takes a lot of material for Thabitest to have the amount of power that it has, to run into one would be unfortunate. Thabitest can attack twice on the same turn, it can scan opponents weaknesses and attack accordingly, and it can even cast out the annoying Paralysis Charge. It takes 10 A Rank hits to take one of these down, careful when approached by one.
Boss: Ein Heim: Oh the agony of finding the source of the Machine Knights, if you only knew how powerful it was, maybe you might have focused a bit more on keeping your health up. This is the true master of the Machine Knights, Thabitests can't even compare to the agony that this monster can inflict. It can attack twice every turn and takes 15 A-rank hits to take down. Every attack it carries out inflicts S rank damage, careful now.
Full Force: Used once per thread. Ein Heim charges up a giant beam of light for one turn. Once it is done, that light is released onto two targets, inflicting SS rank damage to them and paralyzing them for one turn. Avoid getting hit by this at all costs.
Reward: 80,000K Jewels.

Let me in. I need to pick up my cousin. Elyx would explain, crossing his arms as he entered the scene where the Rune Knights. They were not going to let him in so easily, many of them were supposed to be strict. Yes, he was able to understand them being pricks to strangers, that was pretty much how guarding worked... In a special sort of way. One of them would approach him with a baton in her hands, because a Wizard Saint would definitely back down to a small weapon such as that. She had a conductor hat on her head, a formal suit that dressed with dark colors all the way down to her black heels. Her glasses were sharp and her eyes even sharper. However, her height was less than average, and her magic power had little to no sense on his own magic sensing. Due to this, he'd just reply to her calmly when she spoke. Well, calmly, but passive and aggressive. And who do you think you are, thinking you could speak so boldly. She would ask. Nice question. Well, lets see. Elyx Reiaki, he was just an ordinary mage with a few petty titles. Yeah, he might be the Guild Ace of Leaves at Black Rose, but that probably meant nothing to the lady, who was guarding the borders of the Rune Knights. Oh my, he is a current Wizard Saint of Fiore, one of the top ten strongest mages to exist, but that does not hold a candle up compared to this lady, a guard for the Rune Knights. Fortunately, he kept these thoughts bottled up, the Sky Slayer did not feel the need to create mass genocide on the Rune Knights, the equivalent of the police. Especially not while his cousin was in it. And so he would answer calmly. My name is Elyx Reiaki of Black Rose. I am the fifth Wizard Saint of Fiore as well as Black Rose's Guild Ace of leaves. So please, get me Hero Yamamoto. And with that, he would have a staring contest with the ginger dressed in dark clothes. Neither of them were backing down, not even so much as a blink. There was no way he'd blink, he has a powerful ability to keep his eyes open. Vivid dreaming. He could do this all day if he had to. His cousin should probably hurry up.

Today was the day. A few days earlier, the giant had met a family member he never thought existed. It was an odd feeling after all that time being alone, and yet it was not as though he disliked it. Did all people with family feel this way? As he was thinking about this, he was preparing to meet up with Elyx Reiaki. That's right. The fifth Wizard Saint was this man's younger cousin. Yamamoto was retrieving his armor as he though of these things, a slight grin visible on his face. Was it pride he felt? It couldn't have been pride, considering a nineteen year old was way stronger than he. As he had finished getting dressed, he placed the Rune Knight uniform in his personal locker and began walking to the entrance of the station where his cousin was supposed to be meeting him. Likely one of Hero's defining characteristics was that he was the only one known for never wearing any footwear. Unlike most of the other Knights he worked with, however, his natural body was a lot tougher and he was very capable of walking barefooted on really any surface. His footsteps were loud on the tile floors inside the building as he walked through the Knights who were still filing reports and other things. Moments later, he heard a little bit of commotion coming from said entrance and then he immediately sighed. This man's work was never truly done, even at the station. As he got around to the entrance, he saw a red-headed woman in the doorway clearly blocking someone on the other side; there was a familiar voice on said other side. He sighed again. Does she have to do this with everyone? She's the same rank as me and she thinks she's top dog. After standing there watching for a few moments with an unamused expression, he walked up quietly behind the smaller red-headed woman and placed a large right hand on her head. "Oi. Last I checked, you weren't the boss around here. I have permission from the Captain to leave early and accompany Elyx, the fifth Wizard Saint, on a task. And just for your information, yes, he is my cousin. Don't be so difficult all the time. It isn't very cute, you know." The man then picked the woman up by her head and plopped her gently to the right side of him before walking out just a few extra feet to meet his cousin. The giant's face had no particular expression though if you looked hard enough into his eyes, one could tell he was relatively giddy. "Right on time, Elyx. I am set to go."

Looks like the stupid ginger had been put in her place, literally as well considering she had been picked up and put to the side by his cousin. Some Rune Knights were difficult, and some were prepared to handle the difficult ones. Fortunately, there was no outbreak, and they were able to live on their lives. With a smile on his face, he would reply to Hero. All right. So we have to go and take out some weird beings in Fiore. Machines I heard of them to be. So lets go to the Ancient Ruins, since most of the incidents are reported over there. He would explain before placing his hands in his pockets. If there was anything that his cousin needed to do real quickly, now was the time. Just because Elyx was a Wizard Saint does not mean he was able to guarantee anyones safety. There were many times in which his own life had been put on the line, and not even one 100 year jobs either. This Machine business was supposed to be technology that surpasses this world, even places such as Lavantir Port City and Motor City. Provided they be more modern, the age of magic had best be prepared with everything they have. Elyx came prepared with everything, the Celestial Spirit Keys in their entirety, in case Aiyana was needed. Bound Iris, the blade well crafted in case he needed to get up close with his enemies. And finally, his Sky Cloak and his Assisting Eye. All of those put together will have a top notch Elyx.
It's best you get ready. This is futuristic technology we are dealing with here, we have to come equipped with whatever is the best. If you have those things already, we should be on our way. He's explain to his cousin before turning away to the outlines of the Rune Knights lands. There was tension here, and he'd prefer to be on the liked side rather than their current side. Hero did not need to know of this though, since it was not something Elyx could not take on. But it was something Hero did not need to witness either. After all, family or not, the Rune Knights were his cousins faction. Hero could not come in whenever he felt, beat up a few Black Rose Mages and expect nothing. And Elyx sure as hell would not be a good enough excuse to get him out.

Even as a Rune Knight who did get a salary, the giant lived an exceedingly humble lifestyle and did not much care about unnecessary things. In most cases, he was able to find most of the things he needed without having to spend a single Jewel due to his training as a young man to be self-sufficient, which most often meant fending for himself without the help of others, even something small like buying food. That training and that way of life was second-nature to him though nowadays he was not stubborn enough to go without buying food ingredients at a market. Hero had already eaten earlier however because he knew it was likely going to be a bit of a long trip and he was already wearing the armor and clothing he wore casually and into out-of-city jobs. This man was not the type who packed something for every occasion after all. What weighed more on his mind was the job itself according to what Elyx just told him. Living machines? If that were true, then Yamamoto was going to have a bit of a hard time, even if he were confident he could hit them hard enough to break them. His cousin's suggestion to be prepared was not for provisions in the giant's mind, but to see if he had the will to push forward knowing the risk that came with it. After all, the fact that it was requested of a Wizard Saint to look into the happenings, chances were extremely high that he had a low chance of making it out unscathed at the very least.
Serious thoughts aside, Hero sighed and raised a hand up with a thumb pointed toward the sky. "No matter the risk, it is alright. For I will pull through." The man then walked out of the doorway and a few more feet ahead of the young family member. Even if his cousin was stronger in likely every way, it was the duty of the older generation to put on a strong suit and pave the way to success. As a man of honor, Hero Yamamoto plunged himself into the depths to bring light to those who had been consumed. Little did he know... he became more and more like the heroes of old every day that passed; this was his first step. "Lets be off then, Elyx! The day is still young."

All right, lets go! Elyx would answer, walking away from the scene at last. It felt great to get out of there. The guards at Black Rose were more or less the same, so it was not like his homeland was any better. Still though, they were able to make it through, and now it was time for them to head out. The way to the ancient ruins was not too far from this area. Especially if he were to teleport over there using Yuni. But that would kill any fun, after all, he was with a family member. Someone of his actual blood was in his life, thus he should try to hang out with him. So what's your life like among the Rune Knights? I'm sure not all of them are pricks like that ginger. Or was she just putting up a tough little girl act to scare me away? He'd ask, placing his hands in his pockets. He'd wait for an answer, but then he would then return it with his own explanation of Black Rose. Black Rose is prospering nicely, we are recently having outside sources provide us with more materials. Soon enough, I think some alliances would be formed. I'm just glad to have helped it when it was not so huge. He'd explain, now happily placing his hands on his hips. It was nice to be able to vent about something like that. Before, there was only Ignite, who he had no problem speaking to. However, she was always stuffing her nose with papers when it came to studies of rifles, bullets, shells, etc, she was not so excited about taking on jobs. In fact, he did not remember too well the last time she even went out of the house.
Among the fields, two shadows would be seen in the distance. There was a choice, to approach them or to avoid them. They took the shape of a human, but that could be disguised. And in daylight, why would they be so dark? Still however, that depends if there is a shadow being casted onto them or not. In case it were the latter, he decided to walk towards them. Hey Hero. Lets go investigate what these two are doing. Maybe they are fellow mages that are trying to take this job as well. Elyx would explain before walking towards that direction, not even waiting for an answer that time.

And so they were off, at a relatively similar pace despite the giant having a longer stride. Something struck him as odd though. Elyx being such a powerful wizard, surely he had some sort of spell to simply whisk them away to the ruins where the sightings were being reported; then he got rid of the thought, labeling it as a triviality and continued on. The giant was asked about life as a Knight, but he did not really know what to say. It was rather simple, though perhaps that was only the case for him. "I find it pretty simple and easy. Patrol cities, assist people along the way, write up reports, make the higher ups happy. As for the red-head, she's really a sweetheart even though she's like that most of the time." In hindsight, perhaps the only reason he had it easy up until now was due to the fact that he was not higher up in the chain. Rank did not matter much to him, though.
Elyx then started talking about the guild he was a part of, Black Rose. Most of the other Knights considered it more of a mercenary guild considering the kinds of jobs they took. That worried Hero slightly, but he was glad that his cousin seemed to enjoy it there. That was what mattered more to him. Yamamoto nodded as he listened a bit to the young man talking about some alliances and outside help, though he did not really know much about the inner workings of guilds. It was also enlightening to see that Elyx looked happy as they talked. Perhaps he did not talk to people within his guild much? That thought was slightly discomforting, though he himself was the same way at the workplace. Some moments later after making small talk, Hero began to see some figures in the distance; he was not bothered by it until his cousin stated they should take an investigative look upon the two figures standing in the middle of the road. He kept pace with the young Saint beside him as they steadily headed for the figures that came more and more into few. "A man and a woman, Elyx. I'll let you do the talking since you look so eager."

Sounds like you are happy there. As for her, I think I'd rather see it before I believe it. Actions normally are louder than words you know. He'd explain before he was then given permission to go to the two shadows over there by his older cousin. However, he was going to be speaking to them alone, which was fine. All he had to do was do recon anyways, just doing it in the way he has always been doing it. And so he'd run at a moderate pace, nothing that would startle the two shadows. As the sun was revealing their true forms, he would notice that they were rather young, about his age, maybe even younger. One of them was a male that had clothing that was beyond their time, was he working along with the machines? But the girl beside him was more of a modern type of clothing, she did not seem to be running for her life, but rather close to him in fact. Maybe the guy was not working with their targets, but there was only one way to confirm this. Hey there you two. Don't you two know that it is dangerous to be very close to the Ancient Ruins at this time? There recently has been a new threat in Fiore. Elyx would explain. The couple would turn around to meet him. They both had such gentle facial expressions, it's not likely for them to hurt anyone or anything alone. The man would reply to him. Yeah, but we are here to take care of that. I am the grandson of the man that had caused this. The Machine Knights have been a problem in our world as well, but we know how to stop them! We... Don't have our third partner though, and she was out main tank as well. Without her, we are lacking the firepower that we need.
The man would shake his head, realizing he was going a bit too far in thought. A smile would form on his face before offering a hand. Nevermind that though! My name is Frey, and this is my wife, Bell. He would explain. Well, maybe they were not as young as he thought they were. The Sky Slayer would greet the man with a firm handshake before formally bowing to the young lady. My name is Elyx Reiaki. I have brought along a family member of mine to defeat these "Machine Knights". His name is Hero Yamamoto. He belongs to the police faction of the land of Fiore, and I am a Wizard Saint. Since you are foreign, that means I am one of the ten strongest mages to exist here. And I would not mind lending you both a hand, if my cousin agrees.

Elyx ran off ahead to speak with the figures up ahead, while Hero took a slightly relaxed pace. By the time his cousin had reached them, the giant was within hearing distance and could hear them conversing. They were from the future? The giant was not sure whether or not to believe that, but at this point it was not necessary to question their backstories. What was more important was whether or not the two could be trusted on this task considering they looked about Elyx's age. However, on the same side of the coin, his cousin was extremely talented despite his age and size so perhaps he was only slightly quick to judge them. They introduced each other as Frey and Bell, a married couple who sought the machines that he and his cousin were also after. Logically speaking, it would have been the smart thing to quickly let them join in, considering the odds they were ultimately up against. More numbers would have meant a higher overall success rate. If the giant were to approve of this, he needed to make sure everyone knew each others' relative capabilities so that none of them went into battle blind.
Them having missed a member, apparently a 'tank', it would be beneficial for them to have someone like Yamamoto in their group to take the anger of stronger opponents. Not to mention that having Elyx as part of the group meant the odds of success became stacked on their side even though it still likely was not going to be easy by any means. It came down to learning each others' roles and determining formations during combat. "It would be beneficial for both parties to join forces, as there is power in numbers. However, if we are to team up, we need to set our formation straight, since naturally we will be facing autonomous opponents. Frey, you just stated that you were lacking a tank to take on the anger of enemies up front. I can handle that role, considering my size and Magic. By the looks of you, Frey, you are an attacker so you'll be focusing on damage from the sides. Elyx here is a Slayer, so he will handle balancing long-ranged and mid-ranged combat. That leaves your wife... Bell, was it?" If the woman was capable of healing Magic that would have made this grouping perfect, so long as everyone stuck to their roles. Of course this was not a perfect solution to the whole thing, but it was something to create some organization. Unless his cousin had any other suggestions or comments, it was simply a matter of whether or not the two mystery people would agree to it. After everything was eventually said and done, the giant spoke once more just for official reasons. "After hearing out each side, may we agree to team up and protect Fiore?"

I may not be too much, but I can be strong too! Bell would announce as she held up her staff, green light emitting from the tip of the magic item with a smile on her face. Plus, I can heal us all whenever I feel! A good trait, a healer. They have a full party should they join together. Elyx would nod with approval as he placed his hands on his hips and smiled. Well, we would be complete then if we decide to pair up. Can you tell us about what these Machine Knights are all about, and how we could stop them? He would ask them. Frey would take the wheel on that, since he was the one with any actual experience on those things. Machine Knights were designed for one selfish reason, to give an army to their big boss known as Ein Heim. I was lost in a world where only three of us remained, me, grandad, and my childhood friend. Well, when grandad opened a portal for me to explore and save humanity in this new world, it turns out, he betrayed me and left Machine Knights to take over. Bell and a friend of ours went as a group to stop the Machine Knights. He ended up releasing Ein Heim, who was supposed to destroy time and space at the command of my grandad. However, he and my childhood friend were both destroyed by it, and we had to stop it. Once we did, it eliminated itself, and we had thought it was the end of it. But somehow... Someway... It is back. For every Machine Knight it absorbs, it gains that much metal and restores health. And once it gets back to full power...
He cut if off from there. The threat sounded a lot much worse that they had thought. They did not expect severe backlash with time passing. This was considered an A rank job, but if they ended up waiting, it could be much worse than any 100 Year job they had to face. We have to stop it before it gains too much power then, right? Elyx would explain, the couple nodding their heads in response. When Hero suggested they become a team, Frey and Bell would look at each other for a little bit, both of them with perfected Poker Faces. Once they had their little staring bit, they looked back before Bell would reply. All right, but we must hurry!

Yamamoto thought for a moment about what all Frey had said and determined that most all of it was unnecessary information to him. What was left of importance was simple: take out this "Ein Heim" machine and destroy all machines along the way so to not let the thing regain its full strength. It most assuredly was not going to be that easy however, considering the repercussions of this whole thing going south. At the moment, talk was relatively finished; now it was time to get a move on. Every moment wasted standing around talking was one more minute the enemy grew stronger, which he did not have to acknowledge that was a bad thing. Knowing this, he turned to his cousin in earnest. "Knowing our roles and a little background on the problem going on is good enough for the time being. For now, we must get a move on. Lest the enemy grow strong enough to wipe everything away. Elyx, do you have a way of us getting there quickly?" Even as the giant spoke, he was already coming up with strategies and back-up plans in case situations became sour. As the tank, it was Hero's duty to make sure all targets were focused on him so that the attackers and healer could remain relatively safe. Unfortunately, the man was not very tough in comparison to his cousin so he likely was not going to last very long but he had to fight honorably. Fiore was on the line this time, not just his own hide.
He placed a hand on Elyx's shoulder and gave him a thumb up and grinned slightly, with an expression that said "don't worry about me. I know you have my back so stand fast". Once the group arrived there, Hero was going to take the lead and leave his fear and weakness at the entrance. The strength to persevere in the face of adversity was one of the giant's strong suits. Yamamoto then closed his eyes and waited for Elyx to put his skills into motion, since he could feel in his gut that the young man was going to say he did have a way. The battle was about to begin and there was no turning back for the budding wizard. What am I thinking? I've always wanted a real challenge and now I'm staring it in the face. Lets get this party started.

I do actually. Elyx would reply to his cousin, and the couple would tilt their heads to the sides. Did they not have teleportation in the future? Or Celestial Spirits? The Sky Slayer would flick a key from his pouch, revealing a regular silver key for them. It was Yuni. He'd raise it up into the air, white light shining from the tip of the magic item. I open the gate of the Chronicle Commander. Come forth! Yuni! He'd chant, swinging the key downwards. With that, the gates were opened in front of them, and soon a hooded Celestial Spirit would arrive with snowy white hair and big red eyes. They were a bit hollow, her social anxiety still as subtle as ever. She'd turn over to Elyx, blinking twice without even saying a word. It was hard for her to speak in front of a small crowd, so she instead was awaiting an order from the Celestial Spirit Mage. He'd place his head forward to her, to give her ease of access to his mind. A gentle palm would delicately be placed on his forehead, connecting his memories to her. This was to make sure she could locate any area in his mind that he could access. We need to get inside the Ancient Ruins. The four of us, and then you may go back home if you so choose. Elyx would explain. Yuni nodded her head shyly before closing her eyes, reading through his mind to find the Ancient Ruins located in it. Once she found the stored memory, the four of them would shatter to pieces of light, traveling through the Celestial Spirit world, which was censored with a bunch of blinding light.
Once the four of them arrived, Hero would look towards him with a facial expression that seemed confident enough. All right, if he was so sure of it, then the Sky Slayer can be rest assured. They were at the entrance now, and there seemed to be a huge amount of lightning from inside, Elyx could sense it. Frey unsheathed his sword, holding it up in a battle stance, ready for battle with any machine knights that get in the way. Looks like we aren't alone on this. Get yourselves ready, people! He'd announce to the group. Good thing he warned them, the electricity sensing was getting stronger. Darkness would emit from the body of the Sky Slayer, ready to attack

Frey had warned the group of their not being alone, but personally speaking, that was extremely obvious considering the circumstances. Hero was never too good at sensing magic power, but even he could tell what power lay within the ruins just ahead. The man left all thoughts behind and walked forward with his wits about him at all times for an enemy to strike though for the moment the route was clear. The ruins themselves were not all that eerie as he heard from other Knights, but the magic power coming from that... Ein Heim was making it feel more and more ominous as he continued forward. The giant was determined to fulfill his role and get the group through this whole mess, even if he ended up being the weakest link. In the midst of enemy territory, Yamamoto continuously looked forward and slightly to his sides; after some moments, he felt signs of magic power nearby along with the clanking of metal. From the shadows, a hulk of a machine came stomping toward the group at a semi-slow pace and as that thing moved forward, smaller versions of it came behind along with some spider-looking things coming out from the side walls. It seemed the enemy forces caught onto their presence.
Almost immediately, Hero charged ethernano throughout his entire body and dug his feet hard into the concrete below his feet, ready to dash forward. "Alright, everyone. Remember what we discussed before. Stick to your roles and we should make a breakthrough. I'll jump in and take their attention away while you all focus on taking them out. You guys decide quickly what to destroy first. I probably won't last very long against these numbers, so watch out for me, Bell. Lets get this party started." The giant then, despite his size, darted forward at a surprising speed which left large imprints of his feet in the hard surface toward the big guy who was probably leading all of the smaller ones. If he were able to grab its attention, there was a high chance the rest would focus on him as well. The giant machine was barely within range by the time Yamamoto dashed off, and when he reached the thing, he punched it hard on its center and moved quickly to the side to dodge a frontal attack. Then, to grab everything else's attention, he released a powerful wave of magic power around him which managed to hit all the machines that came out to fight. One. For. All. When the spell blew back all of the smaller targets, he jumped back as quickly as he possibly could because he needed time to recover before he could fight as normal again. With everything's attention now, it was vital that the attackers - Elyx and Frey - take advantage and wipe at least most of them out.
Moments later however, another giant machine came out from the shadows and knocked Hero hard in the side, which sent him flying back a few meters before he landed on his feet and winced a bit. It definitely hurt and he was definitely going to feel it tomorrow, but right now he was ready to go again. There was no way he was going to turn away from a challenge like this and lose the chance to get stronger, for that was his only option.

Hero did well, he was able to fight a way through the smaller enemies. Bell would follow behind the path that had been made. Many of the small ones have yet to be out, but for now, they just had to be ignored. Elyx with two spheres of wind in his hands and Frey with his sword, they'd charge once his cousin was out of the way. They dazed the machine knight, and now it was time to continue on with the fight. Elyx would slam the two spheres into the base of the enemy, sending it spiraling away with just one hit. Frey would continue on with the next enemy of the same sort, who was prepared and prepared a fist full of lightning. Frey had experience, and ducked under the attack. Taking advantage, he would swing upwards to perform an uppercut attack, causing it to be launched into the air. Once that occurred, he would spin around one time with the blade extended, launching it away. The Sky Slayer refused to let it end there. He'd leap, placing his palms on Frey's shoulders to send the Slayer even higher and farther towards the launched enemy. Once he was able to successfully catch up, Elyx raised his right leg before slamming it downwards onto the machine with all his strength, no held back H rank phsycial strength. The enemy blurred as it was slammed against the ground, bolts and lightning coming out from the explosion. They took out two giant robots within a couple of seconds, now to check back on the cousin that allowed the two of them to even do that in the first place. How are you hanging over there Hero? Need an assist?
Bell would be treating Hero at this time, her staff attempting to inject green light into the chest of the man, just simply with the tip of it tapping against his chest. If done so successfully, she would heal him a little bit before letting him go back onto the fight. There were a lot more enemies to deal with. We are going to need to continue, and we can't leave our tank behind, right? The Sky Slayer would explain, waiting for Hero to help them advance further. They would have done it themselves, but the numbers were just too much, and they needed a bit of space to carry out attacks without hitting each other. That's where the Rune Knight came in.

The woman, Bell, healed the giant enough to take some of the pressure off the wound which was fine for the time being. Ahead of him, despite paving the way for the others, there was still a long way to go before they got to the big bad boss. "Thank you, Bell. Elyx, how far would you say we are from this Ein Heim? Judging by the amount of machines we're up against right now, we are probably getting pretty close I'd venture to guess." The group was probably going to have to rinse and repeat this process two or three more times before they reached Ein Heim. If that ended up being the case, Yamamoto would have had barely enough strength to fight it with the others. Any more repetitions than that likely would have been too much for him to handle at this point, realistically speaking. That last hit Hero took was a doozy but he managed to come away with only some moderate pain; finally, he took a few steps forward and showed he was ready again by once again moving into his dashing stance. "Alright, same as before. That was a good round, and hopefully no more of those big guys will be coming out to blindside me. Keep an eye out just in case, but you should focus on the smaller ones since they are faster and harder to outrun."
Without another word, the giant darted forward at the same speed as before, but his tactic changed due to the enemies he was facing this time around. With those behemoths no longer around, what mattered most was getting all their attention at once, which meant spells that hit several of them at once. Just as his dash finished, Hero threw a fist down at the ground which caused a tall pillar of air to blow a bunch of the machines into the sky, though some of them stayed on the ground due to their sheer weight. After doing that, he jumped into the air higher than the machines who were flying and charged magic power into his right arm. The first strike was unleashed and crashed the ones in the air down into the ground where some of the other machines were starting to crowd up, and then he threw the second punch at the group which was stronger and hit more enemies. The last punch was the strongest and hit all of them at once which at least left them stunned long enough to be completely wiped out. Yamamoto figured that, rather than try to separate each fight and drag it on, it would be more efficient to basically round them all up in one spot. The giant then returned to the ground with a loud thud and then looked forward, only to grimace. "Ah, shit. This is going to be a lot harder than I expected if all that's left are those behemoths. Well, everyone. At least they're slow."

You did good Hero. These things seem to have a very high amount of defense. You don't seem too bad, but I think Bell should check on you again, just in case. Elyx would explain, Bell nodding her head before inspecting the Rune Knight. She would once again attempt to tap him on the chest with her staff to heal him, even if he might have not taken a severe amount of damage. Small hits add up eventually. Frey in the meantime seemed to have other ideas, he wanted the machine knights destroyed as soon as possible. His blade would slice through the neck of one of the bigger machine knights, beheading it and making it run out of commission. He quickly ducked under the punch of one of the regular looking machines before stabbing it through what one could call the chest. Once that he occurred, he would take a hit from behind, as the numbers were growing a bit too strong. Elyx would help him, placing his palms out and getting the spiders around Frey away, pushing them off with a strong hurricane. The three enemies around Frey were gaining the upper hand, so it was time to join in. Pulling out Bound Iris, his blade, he would jump upwards before slashing downwards onto the head of one of the machines, slicing through the head and down it's back before pushing it off the tip of the sword with his boot. The partner would attempt to strike at the Sky Slayer for killing it's partner. Once that occurred, Frey would block the impact with his sword just in time, struggling to get a good hold against the machine knight. Help me! He would tell Elyx, who nodded his head before slicing down onto the machine that Frey blocked, causing it to stumble backwards. With one final jump, he'd swing down the sword and cut into the metal with a devastating amount of force, ripping it open with the blade, thus ending the battle. It was just them and the annoying little robot spiders now.
Hey Hero, want to handle the spiders? Or should we ignore them and continue on? Elyx would ask as he looked down at one of them trying to get at him. He'd stomp on it's back and shatter it with ease. There was not much time for an answer, so he had hoped his cousin would answer the question soon.

"We can't ignore them unfortunately. The more of them we ignore, the essentially more powerful that Ein Heim becomes. Though as a tank, I personally see an issue with going up against these little spiders. They're not all that strong, but they're fast and have this jumping attack that is really annoying. And since there are so many of them, it'd be difficult for me to keep all of them away from you guys, so here is my brief suggestion. The easy option, in order to conserve the party's overall energy, Elyx should take them all out with one of his wind spells. After seeing him in action, I can safely say he is worlds above any of us in terms of strength. Once we remove these critters, we can move on. Hopefully there won't be anymore of those giant ones around." The man spoke somewhat quickly as he was being healed by Bell, since there was not much liberty in the time they had to converse. The good news was that they were definitely through the worst of the hordes with a relatively decent amount of overall strength left, at least in his case. At this rate, Hero was going to have enough strength to help take on that Ein Heim machine. What did it look like? How large, or small, was it? Chances were however that it was larger than the behemoths they just destroyed, which was going to be a problem. Although, the man did have one ace up his sleeve if things turned sour against the boss.
The giant rolled his shoulders back and prepared to charge back in, though his tactic was going to change for the enemies they faced. "I'm going to rush back in and try to get all their attention. Cousin, I'll leave it to you to take care of them so we can move on and not waste anymore time." Then he leapt forward a third time at the mechanical spiders in hopes that he would manage to keep them occupied long enough for his cousin to clear them all out. Unfortunately for Yamamoto, he was not fast enough to continuously dodge all the spiders and was taking occasional hits from random angles. However, he held tight and true until Elyx did the deed. After all, he was not so weak-minded that he could be taken down by those little heaps of metallic trash.

One wind spell, coming right up! Stand back everyone. Elyx would explain to everyone before looking at the spiders. They were getting too close. Bell and Frey would obey without question, hopefully Hero would as well. If they are all out of the way, he would breathe in as much air as he could. This would compress heavy amounts of air into his lungs. Once that occurred, he would release the air by exhaling once the air pressure was enough. A huge spiral of wind would emit from his mouth, taking a role now as it then shot through all of the spiders. It might have been a bit of overkill, but they were not going to live, and he wanted to make sure that was the absolute ending for them. Though some tried to leap past the winds, they only got caught up in them and ended up flying away, making things worse for it. The spirals would eventually die out, leaving a very strong wind in the ruins now. A smile was placed on his face, satisfied with the results of no more spiders remaining. Thanks for the distraction Hero. Now everyone, lets get to Ein Heim right now before any more of these pricks arrive! Elyx would tell the group, making a run for it. Bell and Frain would also come from behind them, waiting for the chance to get to the big boss himself. Hopefully Hero would come along with them as well. If he did, they will be able to get to the machine knight that dictated the lot of them. It was not going to be a simple battle, and he was able to understand that. But as a group, they were able to defeat it if they planned things accordingly.
Yes, even with the current amount of strength he had in his body, he was still forced to think things through. One did not get to a high amount of power by simply waiting for something to come at them. They normally made the pre emptive strike, and once they have the advantage, they capitalize. Sure, the element of surprise did not last too long, but seconds could be precious in battle, he was a witness to that many times, being forced to keep up with his opponents. To this day, had he not done that, he'd be lying dead at the canyons.

Hero definitely took a sizeable amount of damage from that little display, though it was worth sacrifice to get rid of all the spiders at once. The way was crystal clear for certain this time, but for a moment, Hero couldn't get running so he started at a steady walk until he regained his composure. The giant's long strides allowed him to eventually catch up to the rest of the group, and he was starting to see his limits after all of that. He was sore all over, though it was still bearable. In hindsight, the group was lucky that it actually went so well. However, there was one glaring problem: the reason it was going so well was likely due to the fact that Ein Heim may have already gathered most of its strength by now. It was important to note that, while the party did take out several of the machines, it probably did not compare to the vast amount of them that came from all over Fiore. This fight was going to be really tough at least for him; he had to think quickly, for once they got to it, there was not going to be time to make a plan. At this point, it was a matter of sticking to each other's general roles and keeping each other alive, while focusing protection of Bell whom was their healer. In this kind of situation, either Hero + Elyx or Hero + Frey were going to be taking on the boss at the front. One person had to stay back with Bell and defend her from any random occurrences.
Wasting no time, he explained this all to the party as they ran and hopefully it was understood universally because he was not going to have any time to repeat himself. He could feel magic power much larger than the other machines combined getting closer the further they ran. The giant held to his mind his one ace spell that would... hopefully defeat it, though it depended completely on getting close enough to start whacking away at it with great haste. That meant someone else had to take its attention so that he could get in close. There was still time to think and speak. "Cousin, when the time comes, can you distract Ein Heim enough for me to get in close? I have one ace that I think can take it out. This is my chance to push myself to my limits. Please." More than anything, he wanted to be a man his younger cousin could look up to and be proud of, no matter the cost. Hero was fully prepared to sacrifice his arms for the sake of that honor.

Consider it done. We'll try not to take the thing down for you within a few shots. Just distracting, right? He'd explain, a smile on his face now before looking forward at the path in front of him.The electric sensing was getting stronger and stronger as they paced forward. In about a minute or two, if they kept the current pace that they had, they would arrive to where Ein Heim would be located. They needed to prepare now while they could. While running, Elyx would take the time to pull out his pouch. Many of the summoning keys were loose from there they were supposed to be at. And to help this, he would quickly place the keys back in the areas he had assigned them, as accurately as he could while running anyways. Once this had occurred, he would place the pouch back onto his belt loop before continuing on. He knew Bound Iris was set. Looking back, Frain would be running with his sword still unsheathed, prepared to strike without even a second to waste. Bell was running behind the group, the staff in her hands, ready to take care of the group had that be an issue in the near future. Elyx had one plan, strike, strike, strike. It was going to do a lot of good for his distractions, probably with A rank spells so he did not go ham on the damn machine. Once he stalled for long enough, he'll let Hero do what he wanted. He hoped it would be a great spell that he had prepared, because the Sky Slayer was going to be forced to hold back for a little bit. In the case that it might not be though, that was all right, there was a spell of his own that he knew would take care of Ein Heim with just one shot. Monsters bowed down to the spell. An example of this was his trip to Kyoka with Lynn, where only his transformation alone was able to slaughter nearly 100 monsters around him. That was a small number for an H rank spell, but for this boss, that was more than it could afford to lose. And the impact, most likely more than it could possibly handle. Just these thoughts alone gave the Sky Slayer some confidence. And so the party would press forward. This was their last chance to prepare before the final showdown.

Thankfully the run gave him a little extra time to recover from that last fight with the spiders, which meant more of a fighting chance against the machine they were nearly upon. As they all ran forward and toward the giant machine slowly began to come into view, Hero elongated his stride and pushed ahead to engage it first while the others remained together a little bit longer. Then he charged directly at the giant boss, Ein Heim, at full speed until he was close enough to dash in, though first he was going to bait the thing into throwing a big punch first. That was the role of the tank anyway. As the man got in closer to Ein Heim, it noticed the magic power of the group and started to engage, and hopefully by that point battle stations had already been set up. The machine through one of his fists down toward the giant and in order to dodge it, he dashed forward to get within hitting distance of the monstrosity. The machine's punch landed behind the man as he dashed forward and then he landed a solid punch on the thing, though of course it did not budge due to its sheer size. From this point, it became up to him to create an opening for his cousin Elyx to take his place in playing decoy. Yamamoto had one chance to pull off his ace in this fight and the best time to do it was at least near the start, when it was not aware of the group's fighting patterns. Luckily, the thing was pretty slow, so Hero had some time to get punches in before he had to move out of the way of its melee attacks.
Out of nowhere, there was a bright light that shot from the machine's head and the man found himself paralyzed, unable to move at all, though he was still standing. Then Ein Heim sent him flying back several meters before he crashed into the ground right around where Bell would have been. As he was flung through the air, Yamamoto noticed that Frey also was not moving from his position which led the man to believe that he had been hit too. Shit. I was careless. That left Bell and his cousin Elyx still able to move around the area. It was up to Elyx now to keep the thing occupied while Hero recovered. The man could hear Bell saying she was going to get him back up in a few moments, and he nodded; he was not unconscious but that hit rattled his skull around enough to make him dizzy. He was right to have dodged all those other attacks.

Hero! Elyx would reach out his palm as Ein Heim would strike his cousin. It hurt him to see him hurt, but that was not going to stop Bell from helping. She would look over to Frey and Elyx, her voice full of command now. Don't worry about him, I'll handle him! Focus on the task at hand! She would tell them. Nodding their heads, they would look back to the giant machine knight. Snarling, he would pull out Bound Iris, his blade before jumping up the metal structure. It would try to strike one time, swinging an arm to the side to wipe the slate. The Sky Slayer jumped over the arm, and Frey blocked it. However, this meant that the swordsman was unable to attack back. His feet were locked onto the ground, the metals pushing hard against each other, both forces equal in power. Admittedly, for someone who was not a mage, but the average human, Elyx was impressed he could hold out for so long. The higher he climbed, the more he felt electric shocks around him getting stronger. At this rate, if he did not get out in time, he was going to face a nasty shock that could paralyze him for a while. Placing his palms against the surface of it's shoulder, he would spring himself in a somersaulting fashion before raising the blade above his head. Slicing down onto the boss, he would cut deep into some of the metal before it emitted a huge roar, causing his body to fly back and hit against the wall. Both parties have been inflicted with damage. The machine knight had a lot of health on it, surely. However, that did not mean it was going to win, it just meant that it was going to take some time. Had he been doing it his way, he would have gone all out and one-shot the bastard. However, Hero needed time to recover before going back in. He seemed determined to have a role in this boss fight, and why should the Sky Slayer take that away from him?
Bell would be treating to Hero as much as she can. Frey finally was released, and ready to fight back once again. The both of them could do something huge if they planned together. Elyx would fall onto the ground, landing on his feet naturally. Well, that could have been better, but had he lacked defense, it would have looked a lot worse.

Whew. Not going to make that mistake again. The man was definitely hurting now, even though he knew he could still move freely. He was confident in the sturdiness of his body and thanks to Bell giving him a hand, he was able to recover well enough to spring back to his feet and grimace only slightly. Hero could not afford to take something like that again in this fight, so he had to be more observant when up close. How was he going to get in there this time with the machine now wary of him? With Elyx and Frey back there in his stead, the machine was preoccupied but he could not take this lightly. That beam of light Yamamoto saw and was struck by did not feel good at all; at least now, the man knew what it looked like which meant it could be dodged if timed correctly. Despite how battered his body was right now, he was not trembling and he did not show signs of stress or fatigue. The giant was keeping his word from the beginning honorably.
Now that his dizzy spell was nonexistent and had time to recuperate with Bell, he took a deep breath and charged ethernano into his legs as he once again began to dash forward toward the fight. It was a blessing that his legs had not been damaged at all during this whole thing, otherwise he would not have been able to get in so close to all of these machines. The woman, Bell, was left in the dust and the giant gave her a thumb up as he ran ahead to the fight. Now it was time to focus. At this point, he had to come up with a way of getting into range without getting hit by those wide swiping movements. He also had to take into account that beam attack it used to paralyze him. The best way to get in was to take advantage of the strength of Elyx and Frey to keep its attention elsewhere while he dashed in. The man did not like the idea of throwing his cousin into that thing's sights but that was the only way he was going to be able to get in close enough to attack with the ace he had in store. However, he was not going to rush in like before. He had a little bit more time to think before asking his cousin for the assistance, and he was going to use every second of that time. Your older cousin is weak, so give him a little bit more time before making a decision, Elyx. Just a little more...

He needs more time. Elyx thought. How bad did Ein Heim mess up his cousin again? That did not matter, what did was the boss. Clenching a tight grip on Bound Iris again, he would pounce once again, aiming to go for a second run up it's body to the head. Up top, to the chest once again, he'd get a grip on a ledge of metal with his left hand.. The machine was trying to shake him off, only for Frey to distract it with a stab to where the stomach would be located, causing it to focus on the pain there. Once that happened, the Sky Slayer was given enough time to swing his body. Left, right, left, right, and eventually, he let go, carwheeling his was up onto the shoulder of the boss once again. Ein heim was smarter this time, knowing what would happen if Elyx gained access there, and would move away just in time, making him miss and landing on the ground. Before given a chance to recover, the machine knight would smack it's arm against the body of the Wizard saint. Fortunately, he was able to prevent himself from being launched off the ground, crossing his arms in a defensive stance as he blocked the impact. His feet would skid against the ground, but that was pretty much it. Frey would take the chance and stab once again at where the stomach would be located. This cause the machine to roar so mightily once again, electric currents firing out from it, launching the young man away from the enemy and slamming him again the wall. Frey! Elyx would call out, extended a hand towards the man. However, with a snarl on his face, Frey would balance himself back onto his feet. Do not worry about me! I am fine! Attack Ein Heim, don't give it a chance to capitalize!
If he was so sure of himself, the Wizard Saint was not going to argue. Bound Iris alone was not going to inflict too much damage. He was going to have to resort to him magic, possibly some heavy spells provided that be necessary. So he would sheathe his weapon back into the holder, and would instead begin to emit the Sky Deity Slaying dark aura he had in him. The winds would violently spin in a circle around all of them. It was time to play with this new enemy.
