Re: Strawberry Fondue
"in youth you'd lay, awake at night and scheme, of all the things that you would change, but it was just a dream"
The normal boring weekends are the little conqueror's favorite, because this was when his energy radiated out in heavy amounts and it made him extremely eager to find new settlements to overturn, in which he found himself deeply entranced into the roads of the ever quiet Peace Village, his arms swinging as he tottered around with a giddiness only reserved for a soft round face like Fenris. A time of day came, however, and it made him endure a particular hunger that coaxed one hand to gingerly pat his rumbling tummy and the other to dig through the spaces in his pockets with disdain. And by some form of ungodly childish whim, Fenris had dragged himself into the focus of the village's market center at the foot of a narrowing road. And just around the bend was a small shop that caught his eye, with its tables empty and its chef moping silently against the cash register. Fenris realized that it was a bakery that largely held its name upon old confectioneries and cakes. The glass windows were shiny as he stared into them, a sparkle being reflected as he caught sight of the delectable strawberry shortcakes plopped over to one side, shamefully ignored by passerby. The bell rung with a soft, dusty tinkle as the little boy allowed himself inside, tilting his head from one side to the other to fully drink in the scenery before closing the door behind him. The man who sat behind the cashier table gave the door a disinterested look at first, but his face seemed to show a faint sign of happiness as his mind registered the form of a hungry child whose eyes plead promises of fortune if he'd be fed. The chef raised himself off the stool he was sitting on and approached the wondering fellow as he stood closely to the pastry coolers on the left. "Can I help you, son?" the man asked. Fenris glued his eyes to the shortcakes that beckoned him from the lacy pastry stand, not even sparing the man a glance as he raised his arm with an intent, pointing towards his objective and declaring it so with a firm and steady bellow. "I want that." he said.

Re: Strawberry Fondue
"in youth you'd lay, awake at night and scheme, of all the things that you would change, but it was just a dream"
The hour that passed was a leisurely one for the little Columbus as he stretched against the small cafe chair, empty plates lined up neatly into one pile in front of him. Orange coats the sky as he gazed at the horizon, darkening at an alarming rate. The glass that separated him from the outside felt like it was thinning under his shifting stare as Fenris found nothing better left to do apart from waiting out his satisfied palette to still, his fork spinning revolutions in his hand before falling unceremoniously to the floor at the sounds of footsteps gathering beside his seated form. "I wish young ones like you would learn to appreciate the simpler things in life." the chef started, rolling his palms over a white dishcloth. Fenris eyed him harshly under the shade of his cap, asking him through his thoughts if he had an intention to be murdered with a fork, but decided against it as the sun sprawled out unto his pale fingers, tickling him so that it pushed back Noez into the pits of his own darkness. "What do you mean, mister?" he mused, his smile pushing off the crumbs that laid on his cheeks. The older man chuckled with the testaments of age lining his cheekbones, his smile harboring many meanings. "I don't get many customers now, see, it's because a newly opened chocolate shop across the road." As if to emphasized his grimace, he pointed towards the shop with a crude expression. "Guy started selling expensive chocolates and premium fudge, stealing my customers out of my nose, what I wouldn't give to get my hands on his recipes to give him a taste of what's coming." Fenris watched the man's jaw stiffen as his eyes lathered the shop with gasoline, his words spitting fire and burning his malice as if it were kindle. The sight was adorable and it just about urged Noez to cross the borderline with the voices of insanity beckoning him further. His chair ushered a soft screech as he excused himself out of his sitting position, eyeing the streets carefully. Orange sunset rays had dimmed into fickle lamplight, the darkness coating the skies above them like a layered invitation to all of the madness that housed in every being's core. "I see." was what he uttered in reply, a frosty chuckle cutting dagger marks into the man's spine. The little boy breathed in sharply, feeling the confused stare of the chef intensely dotting his cape with holes as he approached the door. The doorbell clang with an ominous chime as he let the night drip in on silent cat feet, drawing shadows with his hollowing grin. "You know, if it weren't for those delectable shortcakes you fed me earlier, I wouldn't be this jolly for mass murder tonight." he said, the auras of sin coating his skin thickly, his irises shining a vibrant neon green. A furrowed brow over horrified eyes is what he gets as a reply, half-mouthed questions of what and who slithering out of his fish lips, opening and closing with each breath deliberately harsher than the one before. The conqueror cocked an eyebrow at that expression, feeling his familiars crawling with ecstasy as they moan in hunger upon tasting the air that was littered with fear. "I suppose not many men would understand. But your need for someone to perish was answered." He realized that he could no longer harness any form of comprehension from the man before him, and he gladly left the premises with poison dripping off each of his steps. Just before he closed the door, the little conqueror gave a name that he hoped the man would come to commit within his memory as sharply as his eyes bore the message for him that night. "I am me, I am Noez and I am not a child." he chuckled, "I am a beast in angel skin, and I draw blood to delight myself." The store remained in the darkness even as he left.

Re: Strawberry Fondue
"in youth you'd lay, awake at night and scheme, of all the things that you would change, but it was just a dream"
Evening was to him but an immaculate source of excitement for the heavy hungers that're normally satiated by food in the mornings, like an addiction he can never go back on without falling further into disparity. This fueled his inner beings like a drug, which had him more active on nights like these, preferably with stars lining the pitch blackness for a dramatic setting. When the winds started to howl, he set off, approaching the chocolate store that labeled itself a new settlement to conquer. Noez held his hands together as he readied himself for a stretch, the lamp lights flickering like a fleeting breath at the sound of his shoulder bones cracking. People were edging quietly into their houses without so much so as a glance at his retreating form, his squeeze into the narrow shadows of a nearby alleyway largely going unnoticed, much to his delight. A starry night seemed to still into discord as he laughed, quietly, to himself, the echoes drifting smoothly across the area as he observed the backdoor to the famed chocolate emporium with a practiced eye. There were sounds of pots and chefs barking at each other as they busied themselves with their cookery, and he mused himself with the idea that there were no more than three with their backs left unguarded as their bicker lulled him into a hypnotic trance of sorts, his nerves sparked up like the ends of a firecracker, ready and set, about to blow up the minute they see him there, waiting. Noez stretches his grin even further, promising a grand display for a particular band of demons housing in his soul. His familiars screeched at him, begging for a release, but he would not allow that, he had other plans, yet he had his oodachi beside him anyway, for he heard their cries against his ear and to a regular man, it'd drive them mad, but for Noez, it only added to his enthusiasm. "Patience, lovelies, you'll get what you deserve, good things come to those who wait." he hummed, glossing his thumb over the shiny sheathe of his blade.

Re: Strawberry Fondue
"in youth you'd lay, awake at night and scheme, of all the things that you would change, but it was just a dream"
Had he not waited patiently for the right moment, perhaps the entire situation would have gotten out of hand. His familiars were more than eager to filet their blades against the bone of a man, but he was less than interested in them noticing the noise that wafted faintly from beyond the backdoor. 'Not yet.' he thought to himself, 'A little more...' It felt as if time held it's own meaning as moments felt like it was stretched into eons. The more he sat, the more he fidgeted, the more demonic they became, and the more vocal had they become. And when the final octave of Livor's scream reached the end of ear canal, he stood, unable to bite back the ungodly green glow that started circling in the cores of his eyes, unhindered by the shadows that crawled all over his skin in a frenzy. The backdoor flew off its hinges with an investment in noise and force, and he was paid back in full with three mortified expressions, their breaths shaking in their throats as they try to comprehend his ghastly appearance, which had honestly caused an excited shiver to slip deep into the marrows of his bones. Their voices would call out to ask him, as the child he was, if he was in any way lost, or hungry, or mad. But their frequencies had been so weak that they were nothing but faint mumbles dancing across his willowy fingers, existences fading slowly like fickle candle lights, and here he was, snuffing them out. In madness there were no terms, and you couldn't entirely describe insanity without an understanding of the darkness that warped in one's mind. These humans were no different, and they certainly had no right to scream anything else but mercy. Noez would go on to snap his little fingers as one of them decided it was okay to point a gun to his head. The shadows of his familiars loomed over their measly figures, drinking in their distress and screeching at the top of their mutilated lungs at the first sight of danger that hurdled towards their general. Livor pinned the gun-man down with its spindle legs, ripping the skin of his face from his head with its blades. Noez knew Livor liked to torture its prey by prolonging the agony, so he let it be and watched his other sins as they flailed across the room. By the time it'd be done, anyway, there'd be nothing left but layers of skin spread out like orange peels and a heap of unrecognizable muscle. Zelus had dealt with his victim not long after, and Noez mused to himself lightly as he noticed how it seemed to be imitating a chef's hand as it cut through the body's flesh as it were poultry, dismembering it with a steady force on Zelus' blade. Ironic if he had been the chef beforehand, knowing how he was reduced into an animal-like corpse, with nothing left to remember him by apart from his clothes. The head, as you might think, had not survived, for Zelus held it safely between its jaws, digging its fangs into it like a piece of candy, crushing bone with a very satisfying crunch. Blood dripped off seamlessly from its open mouth as it picked up its knife, approaching its master with a lowered head. Noez cooed to it affectionately, stroking its head with a gentle caress as he picked out an eyeball that lodged itself between its molars. He was, however, ever curious to what the Mother of Serpents might have done with its victim, since it was the more careful one, which made him think that perhaps a tiny bit of its humanity still lurked in its depths. Invidia cornered a woman with pale blue hair at the far back of the kitchen, mumbling an incoherent string of demonic language as frost gathered on the walls. The woman was shaking alongside the irritating rapture of her vocal chords as she screamed, time and time again, gaining crescendo as Invidia's face drew closer to her. Ice now gathered around her supple, kissable neck, and Noez noted how it had been smooth at first, then slowly so, as her screams dulled and it'd only be desperate chokes of struggle, the ice began to dig into her skin, tainting it with a beautiful crimson color befitting for a woman of her appearance. Her blood begged for release, trailing out like open faucets down her chest. He wasn't sure if Invidia intended to strangle her or lop her head off, but he got his answer minutes later, when a woman's head flew off its bounds towards him. He furrowed his brow as he swatted it to one side, digging his heel into her eye socket, pushing an eyeball back in as they began to pop out of their holes. When the sin of envy seemed pleased with its craft (frosting the remainder of the body and whatnot), it came back to him with soundless footsteps. It held a bloodied key within its bone-y fingers, the golden shimmer dimming in the darkness of that one horrifying night. He motioned it to hand it over, and with little hesitance, Invidia bowed as it folded his fingers over the golden key. Noez bid her a thank you, and prompted it to rest, its figure dispersing into snowflakes that smelled like rot and mold. As he sauntered his way over to the office, he noticed Livor wasn't anywhere satisfied by simply peeling off his skin, because it started chopping muscle into finely cut cubes and he could see bits of bone peeking from underneath. Perhaps it'd make a great chef someday with its level of skill. He paid no mind to the summon's ministrations and pushed on, clicking the doorknob open with fragile fingers. The recipes were kept neatly into a cute little notebook, sitting innocently on a desk. Noez rolled his thumb over the cover and had it shucked between his arm, a spray of blood coating the neat writings on the front. Noez left the backdoor ajar when he left. Although Livor seemed furious that it wasn't given the opportunity to finish what it started, Noez reminded it for the third time that night, in his head, that too much can be a bad thing, scolding the summon like a child even as he made his way back to the old chef's confection store. Neither Livor nor the chef were pleased with the outcome, much to his chagrin. The man gave him furious stare, though he was shaking in boots, Noez could tell. Green eyes narrowed into dangerous slits as the man shooed him away with wide, bulging eyes and a bag of money to keep him as far away as possible, yet Noez could only chuckle as he heard the adult whimpering softly between his words. He cradled his reward softly as he weaved through the streets in silence. The lamp-lights no longer lit as the only source of light was an ungodly pale moon. "Tomorrow...we see what begets people like you." he mumbled carefully, his grin surpassing the demons that cluttered beside him. Noez would wait, he'd smile and wait for the sun to come. For now he'd rest, but when tomorrow comes, he'll be laughing, because he knew exactly what everything would lead to. And he licked his bloodied lips at the thought, grinning well into the eves.

Re: Strawberry Fondue
"in youth you'd lay, awake at night and scheme, of all the things that you would change, but it was just a dream"
The sunrise rose with the tabloids printing an unforeseen tragedy. Reporters crowded among themselves to get a better picture of the murders, only to slink away in horror. The more faint of heart were puking out there lunches, mixing in with the bitter saltiness of those who wept for the people they've lost. How crude. Noez normally didn't pay attention to the headlines as he busied himself with much more interesting things, but he promised himself that he'd see the outcome of his handiwork. So he stood at a newspaper stand first thing in the morning, idly feigning Fenris as the shop keeper noted him with a conversation about the murders. The little boy would only nod ever so often as he skimmed through the lettering in the paper. Reporters have deemed it a massacre, with bodies being reduced into nothing but bundles of meat. Their bodies had been layered out over the melted chocolate that spilled over the floor, perhaps the nightly shift were working on the morning batch for when they opened up. And in a matter of urgency, they found the next-door shop owner, Chef William Dolvard, holding unto a bloodied notebook that hid all of the emporium's famed recipes. He was immediately convicted by the respective authorities and was sentenced to a swift death. "Wonderful, wonderful...! Hahaha....you see? Everyone reaps what they sow." he mumbled, satisfying him with the thought of attending the public death sentence when it'd be announced. Noez noted all of this in morbid passion, etching the chef's name in his memory and labeling it under his pitiful face as he was arrested, a picture that the newspaper had oh so sweetly captured. He wondered when his summons tipped over the pots full of chocolate, but thanked them regardless, imaging the reds and brows mixing well-enough to conjure him an appetite. "Oh, I'd better find a new shop today!" He cheered, briskly walking toward the end of the street, "That certainly made me crave something specific, what was called it again?" A flash of redness that rivaled blood burned through his mind. He splattered over a delectable brown hue over it, similar to how the bodies rolled around in the chocolate, and he immediately found his answer to his lapse in memory. "Aha! That's it!" Noez skipped gleefully on his tiny shoes across the cobblestone street, stopping by a small cake shop somewhere around the corner, "I'm having Strawberry Fondue today! Doesn't that sound yummy~?" The demons could only laugh, agreeing with wicked smiles.
