Personality: Xerex is a greedy person that has a tough exterior. He has a dark outlook on life and thinks that all people who cannot become strong live miserable lives He is a person that is difficult to become friends with, but that is only because of the fact that his past experiences have left him damaged physically and mentally. More than anything else, he wants to become a powerful mage, and he wont allow anyone to stop him from doing so. If he is in an environment in which he can be comfortable, he can be very goofy. He has a great sense of humor and is always cracking jokes. He wants to keep the mood light and wants others around him to be comfortable. If he sees someone as important to fulfilling his goals or believes they are able to keep him truly happy in the dark world he lives in, he will do everything in his power to keep that person safe. This has caused him to develop a strong protective instinct. His protective side mostly stems from the fact that he partially blames himself for not being strong enough to prevent the deaths of his parents. If someone is able to be a better protector than him towards the people he loves, that person is instantly able to earn his respect. People that Xerex respects are important in a truly different way than the people he loves, but in some ways they re just as important. People who earn his respect can count on him as a reliable companion and can count on his fierce and absolute loyalty. He is also able to respect anyone with an extremely high level of strength, though this form of respect in no way guarantees his loyalty, and is usually reserved for enemies that he would be both concerned and excited to fight against someday. Endangering the people he loves is a quick and usually fatal way to get on his bad side.
In battle, Xerex is completely ruthless, despite his usually kind nature. Xerex typically is driven by anger during a fight but is able to focus, excluding times he is influenced by blind rage. Since it is difficult to make Xerex want to kill someone, he is totally committed to his goals once he has set them, he is difficult to convince to not complete his tasks. Xerex is also able to fight purely for the benefit of himself or his cause, and this is a situation where he will not allow himself to fail. On certain occasions, Xerex is completely taken over by rage, and will refuse to stop fighting unless he is completely knocked out/ killed or otherwise subdued. This can only happen in the event of something drastic like the death of loved one. Xerex still has a strong survival instinct though, so if he isn’t manipulated by blinding rage and he feels he has no chance to win the fight, then he simply will do everything in his power to avoid confrontation. This occurrence is something that greatly conflicts his protective nature. This fear is something Xerex feels that he needs to overcome in order to become truly strong mage. Anyone who can cause him to feel this way can earn his respect, but they will also become a target in his eyes in the futuree.
