Re: Walking on Fire [Job]
It seems I have work to do. There was a post on the wall of a dilapidated building, seen while on her way through the outer city limits of a medium-sized town. It stated that someone was needed to set a farm on fire, due to some human by the name of Jekis always taking the higher road. It definitely was not the type of job that a legal wizard would have been able to take and the woman had coincidentally been free of any other engagements this evening. Void was going to enjoy some fireworks tonight and she was going to be the practitioner setting them off. In her eyes, it was worth her time to show some human the harsher side of existence. Unfortunately though, the man was to be left alive. In a way, letting him live to suffer was also one way of going about teaching humanity. The woman, scantily dressed as she was, walked away with the post in hand and headed for outside of town where the large farm was supposed to reside.
By the time the woman arrived at the large farm, it had become dark and the stars had shown themselves in the clear sky. It was obvious that this farmer had the best spot in the area for seasonal crops; she did not have anything in particular against natural order, but it was an issue because the farmer in charge of this land was not being humble. To Void, that more or less meant that he was not able to accept the reality that the land was not wholly his and now he was going to learn that very valuable lesson. Casually, she walked into the crop area of the farm and intentionally let go of her focus on the Magic she was born with. All around her, crops began to vaporize and the soil began to crumble up and become useless. By the time she got through to the other side of the crop land, the entire plot was destroyed though she was not going to end there this evening. Moving on to the large barn that was several meters just ahead of her, she raised her left hand up and aimed the palm at where the double doors were set. As she got closer, the doors closed in on themselves, along with most of the front of the barn when walking in. After walking in, she regained control of her Magic and looked around for something that could start a fire. Void found a few large canisters of flammable liquid after a couple minutes of looking around; she walked out of the barn and threw one of the canisters into the barn. As it rolled in and slowly came to a halt, the woman snapped her fingers and caused the canister to ignite and then explode which caught the entire thing on fire as well as make a mess of it on the inside.
In doing that, the farmer Jekis came running out of his little farmhouse with what looked like a simple garden hoe and looked rather angry. "HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY FARM?! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!" The man came running at Void with the hoe and the woman sighed in an unamused fashion. "This land isn't yours, human. Tonight will teach you that." Void used her left hand to deconstruct the man's farming tool and simultaneously threw a punch at the man's chest, which sent him flying back toward his farmhouse. The human was way out of his league trying to pick a fight with a fallen half-god. Yondaime walked over to the man who was struggling to stand from the punch and kicked him behind the knees. Then she backhanded him across the face and sent him spinning to the side. Learn from this harsh reality. The second canister was then thrown into the opened farmhouse and made it explode, which caught the place on fire. In the time she was dealing with the farmer, the fire from the barn spread to the crop area. It seemed she no longer needed the third canister. Not needing it, she set it down near the farmer's vehicle and ignited the fire hazard. "Know what it means to lose everything you own. Perhaps from now on, you can learn to appreciate and help others, foolish human."
With the whole farm now ablaze, Void walked out and away having done the job. This day did not end up being completely boring this time.
