The forest felt like home for Zork, however his meager existence was quickly changed upon the arrival of a guild called 'Infinity Hydra'. Their mere presence made the once peaceful forest extremely loud. People pass through the forest with increased frequency, causing his desolation to be disturbed by misanthropes known as the Hydra. Originally, he wanted to stomp into the Guild Hall and demand their relocation but cooler heads prevailed. This guild was officially sanctioned by the Magic Council and it would take more than a frog to get them to move away from the forest. [Topic Created/Entered]However, his longing for desolation came to an end when he saw the armored warriors coming home sparkling of glory and fame for their achievements. This lit a fire within him! He had once been a warrior, but hung up his sword and shield for a life of isolation. Something about the look in the young mages' eyes piqued at his old habit of adventuring and a life of discipline. Instead of trying to get the Infinity Hydra out of the place he once called home, he decided to relocate and re-ignite the flames of passion he once had within him. A small cave was where he called his home; a cave under the water partitioned with an old spell. The cave had ancient markings which Zork couldn't decipher, but he had a humble bed, a chest filled with his belongings, and his sword and shield hung up at the edge of his bed. He couldn't part with the blade due to something special about it. The blade was capable of cutting mountains in twain. There was a strange power about it that he just couldn't explain. Zork took a moment to open his chest to find his old bronze armor and adventurer clothing. After a brief moment, he put his armor on ending with the black leather glove upon his right hand. Readjusting the fit of the glove, he turned to look towards the sword and shield on his bed. The adventures he had with these two items brought back pleasant memories of the former glory that he had. He was, however, extremely nervous that the guild may not accept him due to his inability to use magic; what he perceives as a lack of magic was actually gifts granted to him due to him being part frog. Another thing that he was hesitant about was how his future guildmates would accept him, being completely different from the rest of them. Without an additional thought, Zork grabbed his sword and shield and walked out of the cave. Moments later.. Zork stood at the front doors of the Infinity Hydra Guild Hall and let out a single ribbit. His mouth gaped open at the site of such a large building. He hadn't seen something like this in quite a few years. After getting over his astonishment of this place, he simply knocked on the door. |

Mudkip slept soundly this past night due to moving quite a while to find a new place to spend his nights after more than enough people moves, cutting down the trees and stomping through the mud in the area to ruin it for him. So after moving everything he had, which wasn't much, he decided to sleep in the mud of a lake that wasn't too too far from a recently built area, with recently being used ever so lightly. He stirred once or twice while he slept, the second time was when an old acquaintance, Zork, had left the cave that was underneath the lake. Mudkip had slept for long enough that the sounds of Zork had caused Mudkip to stir enough to actually wake up. Slowly standing from the mud, standing roughly a foot and a half tall, the quadruped would stretch its front legs before stretching his hind legs. Shaking off some of the mud that was on him, off, he would enter the water and swim to the opposite end of the lake towards where the building that was nearby was, as it thought that's where the person had gone. It would take a few moments to follow the figure, taking one step at a time and enjoying the walk it was taking to the place. However, once it had reached the place the figure was still at the door and he would walk up towards them. Once he was close enough, he could recognize who it was as it was an old friend. Zork! "Mudkip mud mud... kip." He would say as he walked up to the door, looked at Zork. A smile could be seen on Mudkip's face. |
