Era is truly a sight to behold for explorers and non explorers alike, the massive bustling city, the impressing overarching structures, heck even just seeing the place is awestriking, and Ganch was certainly entertained by the nature of the place. Naturaly a big city has alot of people, and alot of people mean alot of problems, alot of problems means alot of jobs and alot of jobs means alot of money..  Actually it wasn't quite as simple as that. Mostly because the magic council was located in the same city, and most notable work put up by the people, was snatched immediately.

Ganch had come to this city as his first step in the direction of real mage work, no more mail delivery, no more babysitting. At least that's what he told himself even tough he knew deep down that it was only a question of time before he was teaching another baby how to walk..

Now he wasn't the only one to blame for this no, if he went back to helping kiddos it was as much of the cities fault. He'd expected to find tons of jobs about taking down crime syncidates and shit but apparently the people in this city didn't need help. He barely saw any jobs he was even allowed to take and the ones he did see were even tamer than the ones he did back in magnolia. At least those kids had attitude problems, heck he'd been stabbed in the leg by one of them. Around here it was less on the lines of, discipline my son, and more on the lines of teaching my already splendid son to be even more spendid, and it sucked.

But with all that said, Ganch had actually came across a nugget of luck recently, as trough a swarm of newbie wizards, he managed to grab himself a new and actually exciting job.

Catch an escaped convict, the premace was simple but exciting, and this wasn't no cookie stealing bully either. No this was a full blown criminal escaping from a full blown prison, or custody.. same thing right??? whatever the case he was stopping actual crime here and even tough it paid badly... REAAALLY badly, like he'd gotten more money for putting someones baby to sleep. But this wasn't about the money, this was about the experience, the fun, the thrill of completing a job. This was his first big chance to rebuild his reputation and he was not going to let it slip.

Ganch looked down at the wanted poster that he'd been given to identify the criminal. Brown hair, big eyes, baggy eyes. The guy didn't really look like a criminal, he looked more like the guy who would come to fix your sink than anything. Now most people would take comfort in this, but Ganch did the exact opposite. If the guy looked like anyone he would be so much harder to find than if he was some bald tatooed 7ft tall brute.

And that was Ganches problem at the moment, he could not find this convict for the life of him, this guy was so similar to everyone that ganch had Stopped a total of sixtyfour people in the last half hour and not one of them had been the guy... or maybe one of them had and he'd just let him go, There wasn't any real way to tell. Ganch adjusted his cape in an attempt to reduce the god awful sweating.
It was crazy how hot it was outside, it had to be 30C at least, He cursed his own choice in clothing as he sat there on a bench, sweating his ass off and pulling his cape. Why did he even wear a cape?? it was not like it had any purpouse... except looking cool.. he thought as he saw some guy walk buy in his own cape.. maybe cape wasn't the right word.. it was more like a shroud. Covering his body and face. At first Ganch didn't pay attention to it, and went back to creeping on people in short, shorts. That is when it hit him... it was hot enough for people were wearing short shorts, and this guy was running around in a shroud, if it was a cape it would've been understandable but a shroud???? Ganch lifted of the bench and started floating trough the crowds. Following his horribly clothed convict.

Now floating trough the crowd wasn't the best idea since it kinda sorta made it completely obvious that he was a mage to everyone including the person he was tailing. Ganch was a decent mage but a stealth expert he was not, and after the third time of taking the exact same turn as the shrouded man, he kinda started to catch on to the whole, him being followed thing. And with one last glance backwards he started sprinting away at top speed. Ganch smiled to himself as he created a tailwind behind him and immediately took up the chase. This pretty much confirmed that the crowded man was if not the criminal, A criminal, and hey getting credit for the wrong guy, was still getting credit right.

Now the convict was fast, REALLY fast like olympic proffesional runner fast. That explains how he escaped, ganch thought to himself, as he accelerated trought the air, leaving his green trail behind him. As fast as this guy was on the ground there was no way that he would be able to outrun ganch who was not only flying faster than he was running but didn't have to care about running into people. He gradualy caught up to the criminal as he had to push his way trough crowds that ganch could just soar right over.

With one last bit of OOMPF Ganch sent himself flying towards the convict with the use of a verdant orb casted behind his feet. The convict however seemed to have arrived at his destination, as he sidestepped ganch and bursted trough a door in the wall next to him. With a crash, Ganch headbutted a trash can, getting himself covered in everything from banana peels to spaghetti.

He held one hand over the spot on his head that he'd really smashed into the can before immediately going up to the door and kicking it open, leaving the littering to be left to someone else. If anything he was creating jobs for other mages.

As Ganch busted trough the door,he expected to be met by a gang of knifewielding thugs, or at least a violently defensive convict but instead. He was met with the same man as on his poster, hugging a small child, and a woman about his age.. What the hell?? was this some sorta hostage situation he thougth to himself, as he slowly approached the criminal.

Then suddenly ganch jumped as the convict spun around violently. But he wasn't met with the expected knuckle sandwich.. no the guy reached his hands out as if he was about to be handcuffed and said. ''You can take me back to jail now, i've done what i wanted to do.''

The confusion of the situation was too much for ganch to handle so he just decided to cut out any subtext and just grabbed the guy by the wrists and started walking not asking a single question during the entire trip. His job was to capture the criminals... not think about them
