Is an okay planner before battle, but in it when he has the whole picture he's better at it. He also doesn't like seeing friends die or get injured, so he tries to make sure no ally gets put in a no-win situation. He hides his power until he has to use it, and makes sure only enemies get caught in an attack. He wouldn't sacrifice himself or anyone else over pointless causes. He also tries not to kill anyone, just severly incapacitate them. Unless it's life or death, he tries to avoid killing. He won't hold back if he knows the other person is bent on trying to harm his friends or family. He will put out his best effort on the battlefield and proportionatly use his strength and magic as needed. He is agile and tries to think while fighting, not always successful. Can multitask but not great at it. He can fight while talking though, because he likes to sometimes... taunt the enemies. He will never overwork himself so he doesn't 'run out' of magic or exhaust himself while fighting. He also won't fight over mindless and pointless causes. He also never underestimates the enemy and never overestimates his allies and himself.
