Name: Tidedancer
Rank: Artifact(+)
Type: Scimitar
Description:
- Image:
- Being a scimitar it is made for agile fighting, more so than stabbing or doing a deal of direct damage. Often used as a dancing sword.
- It's dual element nature means that it is more versatile when it's abilities are being used, and offers more option than most of it's make.
- Considered a status symbol, one of the relics wielded by Pirate Kings. It's presence alone is enough to sort out a false king from a true one.
Weaknesses:
- Scimitars are terrible for doing deep or effective wounds, the blades made for slicing but not made for the force necesary to hit past the ribs and bones.
- No offensive magical capability against anyone that does not use the relevant elemental ability, otherwise functions as a normal sword.
- Being a scimitar it is harder to hide and maneuver compared to smaller blades of the same type. Often requiring more attention to keep it on one's person compared to other short swords.
- Not fully awoken, as the last pirate king perished. In it's current owner's hands it is barely able to muster the same powers it had some time ago.
Abilities:
- Winddancer:
Name: Winddancer
Rank: D (Scales to S)
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description: It absorbs all of a single Wind element spell equal to the current rank of this ability or lower, before the user slashes the sword and reflect the spell back at it's target. The reflected spell acts the same way as the original spell did, only it deals 75% of it's damage (Minus any natural bonuses to the damage that the original caster had. Example: If the original caster had a 25% boost to wind damage, it would be taken out of damage calculation before damage reduction)
Strengths:- A safe way to stop wind damage from effecting the wielder of the sword, especially when on the seas and terrible gusts and wind would tear at their ship.
- Can easily turn a deadly spell back on it's user, working on all if not most Wind element spells.
Weaknesses:- Highly dependent on the element to match it's requirements, otherwise null and void.
- No control over the spell aside from reversing it, often meaning excess damage or unwanted misfires due to the lack of full control.
- Reduced damage from the original spell and not guaranteed to work on the caster, Especially if they are immune to the element themself.
