Even More Pirates...
Yaaaaaaaay!
Yaaaaaaaay!
Anastasia took a deep breath. She was in Bosco with her father's company, Isayev Heavy Industries, for a mecha exhibition. This didn't involve requip armor, but the actual, physical armors and a small assortment of weaponry. She stood in the middle of the arena in the Sentry Prototype, a much larger, mass-produced version of The Fire Moth floating around her with a physical replica of of her Plasma Grasper requip weaponry. Unlike her requip armory, however, these are the physical suits and do not use up any of her magical power to maintain outside of the pocket dimension that they normally reside it.
There was a blaring fanfare as thousands of people were in attendance to watch the spectacle of two metal giants fighting against one another. In this exhibition, Isayev Heavy Industries was to square off with Bosco's very own Titan Heavy Industries. This company were the rival company of Isayev Heavy Industries since her father's company's inception roughly 20 years prior. People cheered and a loud announcement rang out over them.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to Bosco's annual mechanation exhibition! Today, we have Isayev Heavy Industry's prototype armor 'The Sentry' with The Fire Moth weapon floating around it. However, this mean metal monster also has a pair of gloves that burn hotter than the surface of our sun! Give them a round of applause!" the announcer stated before the crowd erupted in a loud roar; loud enough to shake the entire stadium. There appeared to be plenty of fans of Isayev Heavy Industries in the crowd. Once the roaring applause of shouts of fandom tapered off, the announcer piped in once again.
"The challenger to this metal monster is the RX-7171 Dragon Force!" the announcer stated before a large gate opened up with a large green mobile suit appearing in the arena. The mobile suit had remarkably less equipment than Anastasia's armor did, however, a large pair of dragon fang weapons were spotting just above the weapon's arms. Ana zoomed her heads up display on those arms and asked her mobile suit a question.
"What the hell are those?" she asked audibly. Her microphone wasn't keyed, so her voice didn't go out for everyone to hear.
"That is the new prototype weaponry. The DF-111 'Dragon Buster'," the on-board computer stated.
"Pull up it's specificiations," Anastasia stated before the computer began to do calculations only for a buzzer to ring. "No specifications found. The metal composition used isn't in any database," spoke out the on-board computer. "So this is a foreign metal? They must have gotten this off-planet," she said as the crowd erupted in a much louder fanfare over the Dragon Force and the Dragon Buster weaponry that it possessed. Anastasia cleared her throat and grumbled.
The Dragon Force walked up to Anastasia's armor and keyed his microphone. "Let's have a good fight, alright?" spoke the voice coming from the other mobile suit. The pilot of the mobile suit sounded like a woman. This caught Anastasia by surprise! She didn't realize there were other female 'riders' like her. Anastasia simply nodded her head before taking a couple steps back.
"Before we begin, there are going to be rules during these fights that everyone needs to be made aware of.
1: There will be no use of magic in this exhibition. Everything in this battle will be from the mobile suit's own power and the weaponry each team had brought with them.
2: The battle MUST remain within bounds. This means the pilots may not fly outside of the arena. Don't worry, folks! There is an electromagnetic barrier that will keep them within the area and to keep all of you safe!
3: A battle will end once one combatant forfeits or a mobile suit is deemed unusable.
4: Both pilots will have both of their microphones on hot-key so that everyone is capable of hearing what they have to say. Needless to say, pilots, keep your language clean.
With those rules in mind, do you pilots accept these rules?" the announcer stated as the two of them placed their microphones on hot-key and responded. "Agreed," in unison. The mobile suits squared off against one another and got into a ready position. Anastasia raised her fists up in the ready position while The Fire Moth continued to orbit around her with the nozzle of it's blaster pointing straight at The Dragon Force. However, the pilot of The Dragon Force had it's arms down to it's side.
This only made Anastasia angry! The gall of the pilot in this suit to be postured like this. After a brief moment, a barrier was put up, glowing a yellow color for a brief moment before a gunshot was fired into the air. The gunshot signalled the beginning of the fight. With a quick shot from The Fire Moth, Anastasia gained the advantage as it ran up towards The Dragon Force and began to punch at the mobile suit. The white hot gloves penetrated it's armor. Each hole Anastasia made in the armor, the Fire Moth followed up with a shot in the hole.
Something wasn't right! As Anastasia was unloading a flurry of attacks into the armor, it didn't seem to budge, as if to allow Ana to deal damage to it. Seeing this, Anastasia stopped half-way into a punch and simply backed off. The opposing mobile suit raised it's arms only for the Dragon Busters to launch out at her. With a quick step to the right, she avoided one of the weapon strikes only to get skewered by the other one. The Dragon Buster's fangs dug into Anastasia's armor, slowly crushing her suit with intense force. While she was grabbed by the claws, Anastasia put her hands together for a moment before a mean of pure plasma shot out into the opposing armor, quickly melting the armor.
With a single move, however, The Sentry was quickly cleaved in two. The jaws of the Dragon Buster made quick work of Anastasia's armor. With her suit cleaved in half, the two halves fell to the floor while the armor she had fired at fell into several pieces. Thankfully, however, The Dragon Force's cockpit was in the head, leaving the pilot well protected from the large beam of pure plasma.
As the two suits fell, a hush came over the crowd. They didn't know who won this match; nor did the judges for that matter. However, it was at this time that the crowd simply awaited the safe exit from each of the suits. Anastasia quickly pulled herself out from what remained of her suit. Unlike her, she wasn't aiming to kill the other pilot. However, the other pilot didn't seem to care if Ana almost died from that confrontation. After crawling out of The Sentry, she rolled out and began to spit out blood in excess. The cleave happend JUST BELOW the Sentry's cockpit.
While her weapon severely melted The Dragon Force, the other pilot simply walked out of the head seemingly unscathed. Once the crowd noticed the two pilots still alive, they erupted in fanfare.
"Look at that! It seemed that the pure power of these two mobile suits were too much for such a small area! Let's give these pilots a round-of-applause for getting out of this one alive!" the commentator said before the other pilot walked over to Anastasia and laughed, standing over her with a defiant grin. "Well, I didn't think that Isayev garbage was good enough to destroy The Dragon Force. But your suit is still a piece of crap. Try again next time," the opposing pilot said as she flicked her long red hair as it blew in the wind before turning her back to Ana and began to wave at the crowd. This caused the crowd to go even wilder.
Anastasia raised a hand while she was on the ground and slammed it.
"Shit!" she said as she paced around the Isayev Heavy Industry compound. "The nerve of that bitch! How dare she give me a 'have a safe match' and then try to kill me," she said while pacing around in front of her father's desk.
"Well, if it's any consolation, the fight ended in a draw," the mustached man stated.
"That's not the point. She was TRYING to kill me," she said as she continued to pace around in front of her father's desk. "The nerve!" she said before her fathered chimed in again. "Well, you do know that she is also the daughter of the owner of Titan Heavy Industries, right? She's in the same shoes as you are," the man said trying to reason with Anastasia and to get her to cool off.
Anastasia continued to pace back and forth only to stop and look towards her father. "The Sentry couldn't analyze the composition of that weapon, the Dragon Buster. If it wasn't able to analyze the properties of the metal, there isn't any way that they got the metals on-planet. They must be running the same pirating operation that I do," she said growing more and more upset at the whole idea.
"I don't know, maybe you should go and gather materials," Ivan stated as he stroked his mustache. "Yeah, I will," she said with a fire up her rear. "But before that! I'm going to make that Dragon Buster and make it better than those Bosco morons ever will!" With that, Anastasia stormed out of Ivan's office and sighed. He removed his glasses from his face, blew hot breath onto the surface of the lenses and cleaned it with the bottom of his shirt. After cleaning his glasses, he replaced the spectacles on his face and leaned back.
"Oh, Anastasia. You have a lot to learn. But at least you have the right, burning passion," he said.
Later that night...
Ana sat at a drawing table and had sketches in-work for creating a copy of The Dragon Buster. The name Dragon Buster was written at the top of the blue print with the name crossed out a few times. Calling one of her weapons The Dragon Buster wasn't something that Fafmir would appreciate. After a few ideas, a name was written above the crossed out Dragon Buster: The Dragon Whisker. She started her first blue-print with what the exterior would look like. It would look quite similar to the Dragon Buster, but with a few additional upgrades. She draw the claws appearing on both ends of the dragon's face with a nozzle coming from the end of the dragon's face.
With the distance she saw them travel, she made a coil on the inside for quick deployment and quick return. She also made it to where it would travel longer and make it more versatile, allowing it to travel in more than a straight line with a slight variation like The Dragon Buster did. Oh no! She drew up concept designs with notes on it to allow full movement during deployment, after deployment, and during return.
Anastasia laughed as she continued to draw up concept art of this weapon before moving on to the electrical systems, guidance control, and even Hymn Integration. Ana laughed like a mad scientist as she began to write up the electrical specifications and integration systems with the weapon. She continued like this for the majority of the night.
The next day...
Anastasia, Taliya, and the SS Myrmidon made their way through the Wakusei Portal. Anastasia laughed hysterically as they passed through the portal, causing a brow to raise from Taliya. "Um, are you alright, Ana? You're a bit more crazy than normal," she said only for Ana to turn towards Taliya. "Oh! I'll make that bitch pay! I'll make her pay fucking good!" she said, still upset about the battle from the other day.
Why is Anastasia, Taliya, and the SS Myrmidon doing going through the Wakusei Portal, you ask? Well, they received a tip that there is a ship going through that has a large shipment; a very large shipment, of a new metal material that was found on Kyoka. Along with Anastasia were 5 more, much large cargo ships. The problem with this is, Anastasia's ship, the SS Myrmidon is an assault vessel that can also be used as a cargo ship. But with 5 cargo ships, she assigned 4 of the 5 as decoys while the last one actually carries the load. If Anastasia's hunches are correct, the woman she fought in Bosco also does what she does.
Bingo! Anastasia spotted the prize. Anastasia cleared her throat and shouted. "Raise the black!" she said before one of her crewmen raised up the Jolly Roger, causing the cargo vessel to go on high alert. The people began to scramble on the other ship, attempting to ready their cannons. "Let's get ready boys!" she said before barking out orders on how to proceed.
She caused the Myrmiddon to go on a pursuit angle, turning the ship onto a vector that will eventually lead them right to the cargo ship without finding themselves behind them. Anastasia wants the ships to go side-to-side for a mounting of their ship. The 5 cargo ships followed slowly behind, staying far enough back to avoid combat damage but close enough to not be completely helpless and separated from a rear-ward attack.
Anastasia cleared her throat and shouted out. "Ready the starboard cannons!" she shouted as she announced to the crew to ready the cannons. The men got the cannons ready, changing their angle to hit the ship. "Aim at their floats and wait for my signal!" she said as the cannons all faced their barrels upwards and slightly ahead of the ship. Now Ana waited for the ship to get within range. After a brief moment, Ana shouted out. "FIRE!" and an extremely loud BOOM could be heard causing a projectile to be flung from the cannons, lurching the weapons backwards. The balls of iron flew through the sky with most of them missing, however, one of the heavy iron balls knicked one of the ship's floats, causing it to slowly leak.
The men on her ship shouted in excitement. While it wasn't a direct hit, the cannon just cut one of the floats, causing the ship to slowly descend downwards and slow it's speed. This gave the Myrmiddon an opportunity to catch up to the ship. Once Anastasia's Myrmiddon caught up, Anastasia shouted. "Suit up, gentlemen! We're boarding!" she said before the more rugged Myrmiddon bumped into the more delicate and nicer looking cargo ship. One of her men anchored the opposing ship to the Myrmiddon and more men placed metal boards down between the hulls of the ship. This allowed Ana and her men to board the ship only to stop.
All of the men were laying on their faces and covering their heads. A white flag was raised in surrender. Anastasia sucked air between her teeth before casually walking onto the ship. "Let me speak to your captain," she said as a 'small person' stood up and kept his eyes down from Anstasia. Anastasia laughed a little bit. "So, you're the captain of this ship, hm? What's the name of the metal you're transporting?" she asked as she walked over to the man, turning to his side and placed a hand on his head.
"It's called Rhapsodium," the captain said.
"Rhapsodium? That's an interesting name," she said, thinking of the word Rhapsody. "Keys?" she said as she held her hand out only for the captain to give her the keys to the hold.
"Just don't kill me or my men," the captain said in pleading.
"Well, if you all cooperate, you will all leave alive," she said patting the little guy on the back. She tossed the keys to one of her men before they began to plunder the metal, slowly loading it into one of the cargo ships. The cargo ship furthest from them is the one that'll be loaded with this Rhapsodium. Once the cargo ship was loaded, it was released from docking and began to blend in with the other 5. The cargo ships formed a pentagon formation with a single ship in the middle.
"SAILS!" one of her men shouted before everyone, including the cargo ship's crew looked up. The little captain looked up before Ana was given a spy glass to look at the other airship. "The Skeletal Wolf?" she asked. This caused the small captain to run away in fear. "Oh no!" he said. However, upon closer inspection, Anastasia spotted the same red-head that almost killed her. "God damnit! It's her!"
"You have issues with her too?" the captain of the cargo ship stated.
"Yeah. She almost killed me in Bosco."
"She took out my last crew, leaving me alone and naked for a boat filled with women to come pick me up. God damnit! I want her dead!" he said before an idea came into her head.
"What about we work together to sink her ship, hm?"
The captain looked at Anastasia as his jaw dropped to the floor. "What? You'll help me get revenge?" the captain said before Anastasia nodded. "Yeah! I want some revenge too," she said before smirking at the captain. "Round up your men and let's sink that boat!" she stated before the captain looked at her admiringly. "I don't do business that way and she's going to give us a bad name," Anastasia said with a nod before turning to look at her crew.
"Unanchor and let's get ready to go!" she shouted out as she stepped up onto the metal platforms before turning to look at the Cargo ship captain. "Good luck to you, Captain," she said with a salute before everyone began preparations.
"Alright folks! This is the bitch that tried to kill me in Bosco! Let's sink this ship! The cargo ship we just looted is going to help us with this battle. They have a little vendetta against this bitch as well," she said as the men 'YARRRR'd. "Ready the forward cannons!" she shouted before clearing her throat.
"I'm going to go out on my own. Taliya, you're in charge of the Myrmiddon," Anastasia said before she started to climb her way up to the crow's nest. She needed to get away from the ship before entering attack-mode on this bitch! With that, the Myrmiddon and the cargo ship attempted to work together to take down the Skeletal Wolf. As if, in sync, the pair of ships spread out in a way to surround the enemy ship. As the ship lurched forward, Anastasia cleared her throat and let her body turn into a ball of light before transforming into the Aero Guardian Armor. With the roar of it's engines, Anastasia flew off ahead of the Myrmiddon and the Transport ship. Another white light glowed on the ship with a missile pod forming on the bottom. Another glow came up with the Plasma Graspers showing up on the nose of the ship. Yes, it looked absolutely retarded.
Anastasia quickly flew by The Skeletal Wolf with the cockpit pointed downwards slightly so the captain of the ship, the woman from Bosco, could see Anastasia piloting the Aeroguardian Armor. The men started to scramble, not having expected Anastasia to be so fast. With a grin, the red-haired woman began to glow a white light only to appear in The Dragon Force armor with the Dragon Buster weapon equipped. This caused there to be two fights simultaneously. Anastasia fighting against the woman from Bosco as well as the two ships fighting against the Skeletal Wolf. "You should have never come here!" Anastasia shouted out towards the other pilot of the Dragon Force armor.
"You know we need these materials and you came to steal them away from us! Who do you think these materials were going to?" spoke the other pilot.
"I really don't give a damn," Ana said as she pulled the Aero-Guardian Armor around for another pass, only for the armor to transform into Walker Configuration, taking a swipe with it's hands towards the superior Dragon Force armor. The armor quickly moved out of the way only for Anastasia to launch a terrible flurry of energy towards the armor, melting away the legs of the armor. While it doesn't really effect much due to them fighting in the sky, it did throw the balance of the opposing pilot's armor, causing it to be unable to stabilize it'self. With a quick change, the other pilot glowed a bright white.
While the other pilot was Tranforming, Anastasia grabbed the Dragon Buster and completely ripped it off of the other pilot's armor, sending it into her own pocket dimension. This left the opposing pilot stunned for a moment. "You took it from me? What the hell?" the other pilot said, appearing in a replica of the armor she had before.
With a little grin, Anastasia made a mocking gesture with her hands. Apparently, if Anastasia takes your weapon into her pocket dimension, it can't be stolen back. Well, at least for this RP it is. Floating backwards, the opposing pilot launched off a couple flairs, signalling their retreat. After a messy, sloppy retreat, the group on the SS Myrmidon shouted in victory..
"Alright boys, let's take our loot home! We're going to get paid a LOT for this one!" she stated as she heard the cheers and shouts erupt over her intercom system.
The next day...
"Well, that's interesting, Anastasia. Not only did you get us enough Rhapsodium for one arm, you stole the other arm. We can actually make this work to where you can use it on both arms. Very good work, Ana," spoke one of the R&D leaders. Anastasia simply shrugged her shoulders. "Well, that should be enough materials for you to repair the one I ripped off and create a brand new one, right?" she asked only for a nod to be given as a reply.
"Shouldn't be a problem," the man said before Ana nodded her head. "Don't forget about the integration with The Hymn. That's kinda important, ya know," Ana continued going on and on about the specifics she wanted for the weapon only for the man at the R&D nod as if he was speaking to just a talking head.
"Well, come back in a couple weeks once we have created a working prototype and we'll have you test it out, alright?" the man said before Anastasia smiled and ruffled his hair in a flirtatious manner. "Alrighty then. If you make it work, I'll grant you a week of paid leave," she said before the man's ears perked up.
"What about everyone else that works on it," the man stated. "Well, anyone that has a major hand in the development and creation, yes," she said before he hopped right to work. "The guys'll be so happy to hear this! Thank you, Miss Anastasia," he said before going to work with a smile upon his face.
A couple weeks later..
Anastasia found herself in the testing room, the large testing room. Ana had the Sentry Prototype armor equipped with both of her arms donning the brand new Dragon Fang weaponry. About 70 meters away was a test dummy. Holding out her left hand, she let the Dragon Fangs loose. The weapon shot forward, moving around in a serpentine manner before finding it's way to the dummy and grabbing a firm hold of it. Clearing her throat, Ana ignited the plasmatic cannon, dousing the test dummy in super heated plasma before crushing it's body with the jaws of the dragon. The test dummy fell and created a faux explosion to simulate a unit being destroyed. Another dummy popped up causing Anastasia to lash out with the other arm, grabbing the dummy by what is supposed to be the face and crushed it with excessive force.
Another dummy popped up only for Anastasia to retract the arms. "That's enough. I think we've tested this out good enough," she said before opening up the cockpit. Poking out of the cockpit, Anastasia stepped forward with a leg up, taking a very Captain Morgan pose. "Yeah, add this to my Requip space. This'll do perfectly."
There was a blaring fanfare as thousands of people were in attendance to watch the spectacle of two metal giants fighting against one another.
