Name: Reisha Mitou
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Birthday: 13th of August
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: Reisha wears a patch covering her atrophied left eye.
Personality: (What is their personality like, at least 500 words, two paragraphs; first explaining your character in detail outside of battle. The second explaining your character in battle, how they do as and under a leader.)
Although Reisha was born to the purple she never felt or acted as if she was a part of a noble family, especially due to her lack of interest in politics or fashion. She doesn't care for fashionable outfits or ostentatious balls and gatherings members of her house are so in love with, and that has bee working for her just fine. Instead, she favours exploring the wilds or long forgotten ruins, preferably in search of magical artifacts which she keeps on collecting. That is a hobby she picked early on in her life thanks to her aunt - an archaeologist and mage researching magically enhanced weaponry and armour for the Magic Council.
She inherited a lot of her aunt's traits such as sense of worth, confidence in her own skills and immeasurable interest in items overflowing with magical energy. She is stubborn and hardly ever gives up, but she will accept blame when she deserves it. Although she would rather remain neutral when it comes to personal lives of other people, Reisha will not stand by when defenseless are being hurt, as such sense of morality has been imprinted on her mind. She values balance and fairness, therefore instead of fighting for the forementioned defenseless she would rather provide them with a weapon set to even up the odds. That is what she calls fighting the very root cause of chaos, of imbalance.
When fighting, Reisha leaves her hot-headed, passionate mindset and experiences a higher level of consciousness and focus. She thinks before striking, but it's more intuitive than most would think. All the calculations are being processed somewhat in the background, in the back of her mind.
The will to survive, and eventually the sense of prize that comes after the win, become a priority and there is nothing else that counts, which is the only thing that carries over from her very fiery everyday personality into her battle-oriented state of mind.
It is not uncommon for young Mitou to lose track of time when practicing with her dear friend or battling over a great prize with another mage. She believes that if you do not get frustrated or if you do not struggle while doing something, you are not growing any stronger - that is her agenda not only when it comes to studying theory of magic but also when fighting her enemies. That is quite possibly the reason she never hesitates to initiate a fight with a worthy opponent - usually much stronger, much more experienced than herself.
She depends on her unique, magically enhanced sets of armours and weapons when battling her foes, and she is extremely fond of using mid- to close-ranged arms as opposent to their long distance equivalents.
Reisha believes she has no leadership skills and would rather listen to orders and execute them. Mitou has no skills when it comes to organizing a group and planning its next steps, but her strong voice and confidence inspires true teamwork which she is not really aware of.
That being said, she has no desire to even consider wanting to have a group to look after as a leader. She feels just fine standing in the background and stepping in in the right moment to say what she has to say. Actually, it's quite the opposite. Despite being very passionate about standing true to her beliefs, if the interaction isn't worth it she usually just loses interest in informing everyone loudly about her opinions.
Likes:
- Collecting old artifacts - Reisha's hobby and, until recently, the only source of income. It is strictly connected with the other two of her interests and was practically imprinted on her mind by her aunt.
- Exploring long forgotten areas - As they are usually the best places to visit when one strives to find items that were imbued with magical properties.
- Constantly training - Be it her weaponry, her armours, her fighting skills. Reisha constaly seeks improvement in her everyday life as a mage and that is what keeps her going.
Dislikes:
- Politcs - Reisha despises politics. It is a well known fact within the Mitou family and for that exact reason nobody ever forces Reisha to join any official ceremonies, as she would not be considered an asset in the game that is always live between noble families of the country.
- Leadership - Not so much institution of a leader as the moments when Reisha is forced to act as one. She never feels comfortable in situation when she has to order people around.
- Imbalance - It is not really a matter that Reisha can easily grasp, describe. She just hates it when the odds are not balanced out, in all situations. If balance isn't there, it's the only situation in which Mitou will allow herself to jump in and help by lending a hand to the defenseless side of the conflict.
Motivations:
- Growing as a person - Reisha is all about personal growth and she does spend a lot of time contemplating her own behaviour. Seeing improvement in the way she interacts with people - for example, not easily giving away her noble background - really keeps her going.
- Seeing good and bad sides to people around her really inspires her. She has always seen that as a confirmation that her ideology of seeking balance between good and evil is the right fight to take, as no being is solely evil and no being is purely and objectively good.
- Triumph in battle - This is most likely most primal of Reisha's motivations, but it addresses the fact that fight is something inevitable for her. Something she cannot be simply disconnected from.
Fears: (What does your character fear in life? Can be phobia or anything else. ) 3 minimum, bullet point them individually, with at least one sentence to describe them.
- Being left alone - Although young Mitou likes her lonely adventures and the silence they provide, she depends on people to maintain good mental health. She needs friends, colleagues, someone she can talk to and count on.
- Losing her aunt - Reisha's aunt is her closest family, her 'person'. Losing her would make a huge impact on Mitou's life, possibly on her personality as well.
- Going blind - Reisha already lost her left eye by carelessly opening an old box found in the ruins of an old city. A poisonous mist released by her caused one of her eyes to become completely atrophied. Losing another eye would be a traumatic experience and - due to past experiences - it wouldn't come solely from the fact she became blind.
