Kite had received his new assignment and it was one that would prove to be not only interesting but also dangerous which would make it extremely fun. With the flyer in hand hand he exited the main hall on his way to his ship that was docked on the landing pad that acted as his designated parking spot. As he approached the ship the members of his crew had already had the ship prepped and ready for take off a fact Kite was most pleased with, he was ready to get to work as soon as possible. The loading ramp was already extended down for him to board his boat which he did and was greeted by the sound of metallic clicks as his boots made contact with metal plates that were laid out on the ramp. Once he was inside his ship’s cargo area he could hear the low volume rumble that was coming from the main engine on the engine room. For the demon slayer it was a nice noise to hear, it meant that it was about time to get going. Knowing that his pilot would most likely be in the cockpit he went to the intercom and pressed the speak button that would allow anyone in the cockpit to hear ”Wash, you got the ship ready?“ he said before releasing the presses button which a voice soon sounded on over the radio “yes captain. I figured you would be in a rush to take off. Besides getting a little stir crazy sitting around the ship all day. We got work?” The pilot asked, he didn't recall mentioning that he would be taking a job today so he was quite surprised ”That's right. I'll be up on a second get her in the air and head towards Phoenix Mountains.“ he would say before presses the button on the console below the intercom which pulled the boarding ramp closed and also closed the airlock does sealing the room ship's interior away from the outside winds. Kite began to climb the stair nearest to him and a sudden feeling, like when you are in an elevator and when it starts to ascent you feel a sudden force come bear down on you, so Kite stopped his climb until the ship was airborne and was off on another adventure.

The sound of the engine shifted from a slight rumbling to a light buzz that was practically impossible to hear unless you had enhanced hearing. As the ship flew towards the Phoenix Mountain range Kite made his way to the cockpit where the pilot was seated in his chair keeping the ship on course. ”Keep the ride smooth. “ he would say to the pilot leaning over the chair only to get a sarcastic response. “So is this job a happy one or will it be burn out?” Kite chuckles ”Oh there will be burning that's for sure. We will be going to the haunted village along the sea.“ Wash looks up “The haunted village what do we have going on there?” Kite held out the flyer for Wash to take and read ”See for yourself.“ Wash read the job description section and looked at his captain,”seriously Werewolves?” Kite looked at his pilot with a puzzles look on his face ”is something the matter?“ kite asked narrowing his eyebrows “is just that…isn't that something from a horror movie? Like made up?” He asked but Kite chuckles ”You are asking a demon slayer, who was trained by a demon if something like that is real or not?“ he laughed and walked down the stairs to the foredeck and stopped at the panel that would lead down to his bunk when he heard his pilot ask “ are we having any help on this job that we need to pick up” Kite smiled”yeah but he isn't allowed on the ship. Last time he hurled. Let me know when we reach… most likely he is already there.“ he said as he climbed down to his room and took a seat on the bed as the ship sped to its destination.

The trip as a whole wouldn’t take Kite all that long to get there, especially with Tailspin rocketing towards the site of the mission but even though his time was short he didn’t waste what little time he had left. He could have sent the small amount of time napping or training a little for a warm up but something about this job felt different, it felt like it would be in the same sort of difficulty that he experienced when he aided Haretsa on the hunter job but on a higher scale especially since this was an A rank job which also meant he would actually have to do something he hated to do, and that was plan ahead. Kite ran his hand over his right shoulder where he could almost feel the vicious bite he had suffered at the hands of large wolf during his B rank exams, so he already knew what sort of dangers a wolf can bring to a fight, let alone werewolves in a pack. ”Between my fire power and Mashyuu’s earth Dragon Slayer magic we could catch them off guard depending on how animal like they are.“ Kite said to himself as he sat on the bed attempting to think out a strategy. ”If these wolves go full berserk it should be safe to assume that they won’t be able to properly form a strategy outside of basic instincts. Could set a trap for them.“ he said trying to implement his know how on hunting demons into this situation but obviously subbing demons out for werewolves.

It felt like no time at all but before he knew it he heard Wash over the loudspeaker in his room “ Captain we are approaching the haunted village, looks pretty run down.” Kite’s eye brows raised as he stood up and placed his hand on the push to talk button ”Run down how? Like they were attacked already?“ he asked curious of the current state of the place. “It doesn’t appear to be the case but maybe you should check it out for yourself.” Kite heard this and started his ascent up the ladder to the upper foredeck and then made his way to the cockpit to look out the window to see the village and was quite surprised by what he saw. The village wasn’t merely run down it was completely out of date. The houses were made of resources that could be found in the woods nearby and the clothes they seemed to wear were of a similar era ”Wow, you weren’t kidding, but at least there isn’t anyone dead yet.“ That’s when a familiar howl could be heard, it was one he knew belonged to Mashyuu’s dog like companion and in a clearing just outside the village they waited for him. ”park her there.“ he would say and as the ship descended Kite made his way to the opening Cargo bay and would stand in his ship to greet his friends ”Well nice to see you two are the early birds. Come on in so we can talk.. I promise no unscheduled take offs will happen.“

Kite had smiled upon seeing his guildmate Mashy, he hadn't had the opportunity it work with Mashyuu since that time where he teamed up with him and Minh for a job that took him into a strange cult and had to fight his way out with the help of the earth dragon. He had given the slayer a nod and waited for him to begin walking up the ramp and didn't move until he got a bit closer which is when he turned and began to lead him to the same spot where they gathered for the last job. Kite let a small chuckle escape his mouth upon hearing the slayer mention that despite his good relations with him he really hates Kites boat. While still walking Kite reached into his right back pocket ”ah right. I almost forgot.“ he would say tossing a folded up brown paper back with a pack of crackers inside it Kite simply looked back with a grin that pretty much said “I didn't forget” but all he added outloud ”What did Tailspin ever do to you?“  After a short walk to the make shift lounge they both sat down with a map of the small village spread across the crate that acted as a table and Kite just sat and listened as Mashyuu explained what he had found by his quick reconnaissance. Some Kite had figured by his overhead pass such as the lack of any sort of technology but he was surprised to hear that song here were no signs of any of them using or having magic which caught him as strange. He placed his hand on his chin ”Probably have no use for magic if they can transform.“ he would say quiet like in order to bit interrupt.  Mashyuu had finished up by making mention of a group of hunters were north of the village and that his pilot would have to take off unless he could defend himself. ”Wash ain't much of a fighter but we will need him to stay grounded in case we need a lift off of our own.“

Mashyuu would then present a plan he conjured up, staying out of the village but keep an eye on it until it was time to spring into action, not a bad one but Kite wanted to stay out of the village altogether once the sun sets but after Mashyuu mentioned that they might not even need to act he asked Kite for his opinion since he had not dealt with werewolves before. ”Unfortunately I have had no real dealings with werewolves my own self. That being said I have gone demon hunting some wolf and dog demons so on a general level the same basic principles might apply.“ he would say crossing his arms ”as it stands we both don't know if there is any sort of transformation that will occur but we have to assume that it will.“ He would point at a location on the map which was the spot they were at ”The village is their territory, it's where they would be most comfortable before they hunt. And while we don't know their hunting grounds we might be able to lead the wolves out of the village with the fresh scent of blood. So we find a deer take it down and drag it circular around the village so we miss no one and then we drag it to our location here. Most likely the fresh scent of blood should draw them out of the village making our location the focal point. Wash will keep the ship docked while we are up on top. I can get the deer but you have the most important job.“ he would pause ”With your earth abilities you will dig holes eight feet deep with about a five foot gap between them and surround the ship with them and cover them. If this plays out right we can get most of them trapped and lower the possible body count that is to come.“

After Kite had shared his plan for how they should proceed from here on out when it comes to dealing with up and coming threat of the werewolves. While it had seemed that Mashyuu had accepted his plan he made mention that plans seem to not always work at first. The comment would have Kite smirk and look at the dragon slayer ”You aren’t wrong, a lot of times plans aren’t so well thought up. But that is exactly what plan B is for but I’ll leave that surprise for later.“ he would say and follow Mashyuu as he exited the ship but would stop at the intercom first. ”Wash, when the sun begins to set spin up the engines and warm up the cannons, if things don’t go as planned we will go with meteor smash.“ he would say with Wash only to respond “Sounds good, don’t forget your umbrella.” Kite would chuckle and exit the ship but not before shutting the air lock doors behind him sealing it tight behind him and as per orders when meteor smash is in effect Wash would lockout the controls on the outside so no one could get in if things went south. Kite walked past Mashyuu who was preparing to dig up the holes for the pitfalls ”I won’t be long, there is a canteen hanging inside the ramp if you get thirsty.“ He would say as he took off his blue coat so he was just in his sleeveless black shirt and black pants, and folded the coat and placed it on the ramp and headed into the thick of the woods to find some sort of deer or any prey for the wolves to become enticed by, he saw a few rabbits but no big game or at least not right away.

In a small clearing about a mile out from the ship he found himself what looked to be a deer but it was stuck in a trap of some sorts, he came to the conclusion that it was one of the traps that the hunters used to catch their game. ”surprised that there aren’t any bear traps around.“ he said as he approached the deer that was pinned down to the ground with one of it’s legs broken by a bear trap on top of the rope net ”You poor thing.. I know it doesn’t amount to much but I am sorry for this but there is a job to be done.“ he said coldly but he didn’t wish to hurt the deer but as it was currently the wound on its leg was infected and it was going to die regardless if he finished it off or not. He pulled out the sword from his gates and swung hard and true striking the deer across the neck with the blunt side, there was no blood but it was an instant and painless kill for sure. ”Those hunters….need a trap like this...maybe one will be a wolf so i can show him helplessness.“ he said as he used the net to drag the deer with him but not before cutting it so blood would pour from the wound leaving a trail behind him as he circled nearby the village and had many pathways that all converged into one path leading to the ship which he would leave the deer nearby before approaching the ship, making sure to avoid the fresh dirt path approaching Mashyuu who was resting on the ramp ”So, anything we should add or should we just prepare for the fight to start?“ he wouldn’t wait and ask again ”Where should we be positioned, together or have one on the ground and one on top of the ship for a surprise from above
