The REquip vs the Ice mage

The arena looked more like a lush forest than it did anything else. There were trees and bushes everywhere, and it seemed to be full to the brim with shrubbery. All the trees were big enough, that they obscured the view between the two combatants, albeit slightly. This seemed like a ninja's paradise, more than a gladiator's arena. The entire area was closed in by one circular wall of stone, with two doors on the sides. It stood at a good twenty-five feet tall, so that the spectators could have an uplifted view of the fight. It also served as a security measure to prevent anyone from leaving should they decide to wuss out. The area where the spectators could watch was enclosed by an invisible magic barrier that prevented anybody or anything from getting into the audience.

The ReQuip mage would come in riding on his mount, the Mangetsu in its sheath swinging from Ultra's belt. His mind was ready for the battle that would be coming to him. His attire and equipment shared his status, as he came to this arena fully loaded today. He was dressed in his signature camo jeans and boots, accompanied with his favorite black sweater. Hidden in his pants were several weapons and items that he would most likely be using during this fight.

Ultra would get off of his trusted companion, and look on at the boy opposite him and Boomstick, before the dog demon shot him a glance, "It doesn't seem like that boy we're fighting will be a problem," he would say in a gruff voice.

The God of War would simply reply with "Do not make the mistake of underestimating him. He may be small, but I have a feeling he holds a great power within him, a power that may end up being the end of us if we go about doing this wrong."

Ultra seemed ready to do this, and Boomstick already knew he himself was. The both of them had spent weeks perfecting their strategies and techniques beforehand, though there was still the slither of the possibility of losing in their minds. But it was suppressed with the feeling of "Ah, to hell with it".

The ReQuip mage would whisper something into the dog demon's ear, even though he still towered over the human, "Looks like a formation C."

At that moment, both Ultra and Boomstick knew just what they had to do at that moment. Within a few moments, the dog demon was in the forest ravaging through the shrubbery, while Ultra was running from tree to tree, looking for the boy in snow that just happened to disappear right before his eyes, while at the same time keeping an eye on the falcon who had just flown into the trees. If Takumi wasn't in the trees, then he was on the ground, where Boomstick could go after him with no problem.

Ultra could sense an energy signature somewhere within a few feet of him, but he couldn't tell for the life of him where it was. Though, he had five other senses to use to seek him out. Once he heard the rustle of leaves, and felt as though he would find the boy in them, he would gather three throwing knives in each of the spaces between his fingers, and whip them at where he heard the leaves rustling. They would at the very least draw him out of the trees, and into Ultra or Boomstick's sights.

It turned out that throwing the knives would go fruitless, as Ultra's target wasn't anywhere near. Though, it did give him a few clues as to where the boy might be hiding. I wouldn't call it fruitless just yet.

He didn't have the time or the materials to be sniffing out every place where the ice mage might be, so he had to do this in a rather quick manner. Meanwhile, Boomstick was still on the ground, prowling for anything that might change the course of this battle. This was going to turn into time-killing real fast if he didn't get things going.

Ultra would continue to jump from tree to tree, until he realized that there was a sound. The sound of a bird, that just happened to be getting closer to him by the second, and as he looked upwards, he saw a phoenix coming right for him. The bird, Ultra could only assume, belonged to the Ice mage, and was most likely given a command from up high.

With one abrupt motion, a silver pistol with a red grip would appear in each of his hands, and he would aim with the gun in his right hand at the phoenix, waiting until it was but a foot away from him.

Then he pulled the trigger. Upon doing that, a red beam of energy would burst out of the pistol and rush towards where Ultra aimed. If the phoenix were caught in its path, it would be swallowed up by the beam of power.
