List of Jobs Completed (D rank)
I.
My first job as a Dark mage of Savage Skull, though farm work isn't my specialty, somehow I seemed to make it work. The Old farmer taught me simple instructions in order to clear out all quadrants on the fields. It was simple work really and I actually cleared the weeds almost as if I'm chopping heads off. Well glad they weren't human but one thing about this job that really satisfies me is the fact that I had to deal with a bunch of rodents down at the cellar. It wasn't much of a fight i expected but it will suffice. The farmer's spouse didn't have to be so kind on helping me out but rejecting her offer would be a bit rude either.
Well on top of that I managed to get what I came for an a sack of dead rats which I will dispose of properly. Perhaps I could give them to Savage Skull's pillar leader Sinali for her experiments, hopefully at the very least it would occupy a bit of her time instead of creating an intimidating atmosphere.
A love letter, a piece of the heart written on paper, words may not be the same as actions but they hold some meaning and that is why I took this mission seriously and done everything I can in order to deliver it. This however would have been better if he delivered this by himself but he told me that he will be late. Getting through the crowds was easy enough for me but passing security did pose a problem, apart from my first mission which tests stamina, this one really puts my resourcefulness and stealth abilities to the test and doing so without magic. It was delivered regardless though I'm a bit surprised that they didn't even notice that I wasn't a familiar face.
Security these days, they are lacking but perhaps its because they were only assigned to keep fans out? From what I heard a lot of the celebrity's fans grovel to the ground just to get up close to her. I feel sorry for my client's friend though, no wonder they barely see each other.
This one really surprised me, Katy my client requested that I take care of her child while she and her husband head out to a relative's party. It was easy for me to put the baby to sleep but what troubled me was the very nature of the child itself. Is this even human, I didn't expect it to stab me at the leg with a knife. It was just a scratch but a child having such sense of hostility cloaked in a shadow of danger was more trouble than its worth. Unfortunately I agreed with katy that I'd do this again sometime.
I pray that I won't and hopefully I'd be off Magnolia for that because the next time I do this job, the baby won't fall for the same tricks.
Welp there wasn't much going on today, I decided to get a passport for foreign jobs. Fiore is a big place but the world beyond it is bigger. Worth getting up early for, though having mentioned that I'm formerly a Royal Kingdom knight in order to get it caused me to reminiscence my past and my time there. I wonder how all the other knights are doing, more importantly how is "she" doing right now? And speaking of knights... how were my "old peers" doing with their different lives? Maybe if I looked hard enough our paths will cross again.
Peace village was a good memory and it was because of this place I was able to find refuge from the dark times whereas I had to fight and spill blood just for the sake of a man who lusts nothing but spoils. Apparently my client was the same old lady that convinced me to read books and boy did times changed. The last time I seen the old lady and her dog was that when she ran into trouble with mountain trolls and now I come back to see that not much has changed the only difference is that her dog had puppies. She desired the book named "Charlotte" authored by Mcgraw, to what she hears from the news, its worth the read. Unfortunately she wanted to buy a copy but they were all sold out so its decided that she'd borrow a book from the library. I couldn't turn an offer down after having been fed to a nice warm meal. I'd thought this job would go off without a hitch but unfortunately I was wrong. There were two kids that have been running around the library none stop, adding and replacing books that didn't belong to their respective sections. Despite all the trouble me and the Librarian been through it worked out well in the end.
These kids I'm babysitting were the same kids that messed with the Library's books the other day. I was tempted to tell their mother Alice on them for all that they did was cause troublesome pranks and shenanigans only to be caught in the web of anarchy they spun themselves. In the end I ended up saving them after they attempted to go down the roller coaster pipe structure. They were troublesome but at least I earned some respect.
The client on this mission is unusually decades younger than I am and hired me to scare of the peer that was tormenting him. It wasn't that hard but the sight of others picking on the weak is just mediocre and I hate mediocrity. On my visits to magnolia I make it a habit to appear on sight, watching his relatives so that he'd see that I mean business. Perhaps I overdid it but if the client says scaring him would work, I had to make sure it works.
It was a taxing chore but it done me good. I became part of manpower for excavating what appears to be an ancient creature called the Tyrant of the Forgotten Desert. It was located in the caverns 20 feet below us and it was just as huge as the Guild Hall itself.
Plotlines/Story
I'm pretty sure, Sinali would have fine use for these dead rats, especially the King rat that I just slain. It has a kind of poison that I think Sinali herself would like. She's technically the head researcher of the guild I must say but is such in her own twisted way. I remembered being told that Blue pegasus was one of Savage Skull's enemies and had clashed with them before. Thought that if I stayed clear of their guild hall I'd run into no trouble but curiosity drew me to that place, it was then till I met a strange little girl up on an old tree. She was a mage no doubt and for some reason i actually believed that she wasn't who she claims she is. Everyone's got their secrets and I have mine.
After my encounter with Kuro, I left Savage Skull once more in order to go on another Job spree. One of the posts on the board had a wanted poster of an Infamous demolitions expert. I decided to take this quest knowing the challenge it brings, at long last he can finally exercise his abilities to the fullest. As soon as the client acknowledge I, one of the mages who took the request, Ivy Kissos, a member of Basilik Fang, wanted to go after this man as well, however after seeing my current position as a D rank of Savage Skull, she exclaimed that Dubhlainn shouldn't go on such a high grade mission like this for that she fears that I'd be nothing more than a liability. No words escaped my lips but it was decided that she and I would work together.
I decided to take a short break from my continuous workload, jumping from one job to another, perhaps a week or two. I took the liberty of using one of the secret entrances to the Dominion which leads to the Boys Dormitory. To my surprise I bumped into Kuro, the girl who recently joined the guild a few days after. Like a mouse she was all lost and confused, probably not used to the structure of the building, setting her up on the right track is the least I can do for her. However there was something different about Kuro, she had that feel of a Demi-human rather than an ordinary one.
