    Alright so. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately. ( I know, dangerous XD )

    And noticed that my Guild has been booming with membership, where as others have suffered. Now---CHALK some of this up to personal treatment, every Guild is it's own family and is responsible for itself, and we treat each other damn well in Fairy Tail. But regardless of personal happenings within each Guild, I feel like I've uncovered a great way to increase a spread in membership.

    It's springtime, and we'll be experiencing even more members soon. So without further adeu, Guild Crest enchantments. Mind you, these are just personal ones I came up with for everyone. The REAL ones will be created by the Guildmasters themselves (with input from members of that current Guild).

    If people think this is a good idea, it could just be a new Stickied Topic in Guild Information like the others. This would draw new members in multiple directions. We could even put it at the top of the scrollbar of the site like "New Release: Guild Crest Perks" and then explain about receiving tattoos yadaa yadaa.

    WARNING: SOME OF THESE MAY SEEM OP, BUT LOOK CAREFULLY AND REMEMBER THAT THESE ARE MEANT TO SPREAD ATTRACTION TO THE DIFFERENT GUILDS WHEN FIRST JOINING THE SITE! ALSO REMEMBER THIS IS THE GOD DAMN MOCK SHIT, NOT THE REALS ONES MADE BY GMs

    Hm. Indeed. I'm not sure it's fair to limit this based off of their being Guildless wizards in existence. The magic is in the crest itself. Without one there wouldn't be any effect on the person.

    Joining a Guild comes with a ton of benefits. Not joining one is a personal choice.

    I could theoretically whip something up for Guildless. But it wouldn't make sense in this respect. The point is to attract people to join different guilds. Remember?

    I wouldn't mind.  

    A note though,  perhaps THE intended use for Tertiary magic was so GM's could use it as a support for their guild,  ie' "Guild perks" that work through their crests.

    I feel like Guildless get shafted even more though if this were a thing.  Guildless already can't be aces,  no access to guild resources,  guild spells, guild pets,  guild weapons/items,  guild ships,  ect,  and can't get H-rank without donating. 

    Furthermore,  there wouldn't be any crest thing or similar excuse to give guildless such a perk to try to not shaft them with this concept.

    But again,  I wouldn't mind something of the nature.  

    I would recommend them being paid for options in the guild shop,  with every guild starting with 1 free.  

    Guildless members could be capable of purchasing a Mage Insignia from the Magic Shop that could allow them to have a similar benefit.

    On Tartarus control over a demon the only problem I have is that some may try and use that to manipulate other players that are demonic. So stating that it can't do so or if it can has a time limit would be great or something to that value in my opinion would be appreciated. Guildless do have less perks but have absolute freedom so to speak. They have no code to live by or honor to uphold so their mind is there own in all aspect of the word freedom. But having a perk to them would add some attraction to being guileless as well as protection to being so.

    Okay so first and foremost Heero I like what you are trying to do here and I personally think it could be interesting. Now then as for the idea behind the boosts in my opinion I feel like the balance around something like these could be VERY dangerous to have. I mean lets put an example here you have a high MP user that has high MP costs as their main gate to deal more damage, assuming we were to go with what you have shown why would they go to other guilds and not your own or BF/SF? I mean I am all for guilds having Tertiary bonuses and such but I feel like such strong buffs could be very hard and potentially toxic to the site if only due to how powerful certain perks could make certain magics. Once again I LIKE the idea but I just feel there are some balance issues with how you present it I mean things like, Communication, Transportation or even ways to bring everyone in a guild together would be nice but I feel like such massive buffs could break magics and really guild attendance since if one guild has a perk that does what another does but better there would be less a reason to go there. Once more I LIKE THE IDEA. Anyways thoughts over. Bai~ <3

    Ours is one of the weakest presented here by far...the MP Regen is 5% and only happens if you don't use a Spell that post....and the other MP boost only happens when outnumbered......Again....Again, these are mock ones. Each one would be created by it's own Guild Master in a thread like the Guild Spells, approved or denied by Staff ect. ^__^

    And yeah, it would DEFINITELY boost diversity and pull.

    GMs are free to use the ones I've presented here, or create new ones. None of them would break any magic however.

    First off, 

    Laughing Coffin is run by Haruhi. She isn't relinquishing control of it, if she did as I coughed up half the cost to get it, it would fall to me, and I am not giving it up. So let's get rid of that. There is not going to be, nor ever will be a change in management. Officially Haruhi runs things, and that's how it is.

    Second,

    As to the Vibe of Laughing Coffin. There isn't one. We are the Island of Misfit toys a bunch of random people and random desires, but one over arching desire. To be free, and to make money. That's it. We are a mercenary guild with the primary function of making money, by whatever means we wish to do so. Legal, or not strictly legal. So fix that before anyone thinks something else.

    Finally,

    I've always said. Simply do away with the guildless. There are enough legal, illegal, and even a few independent guilds to pick from. There is absolutely no excuse to not have a mage in a guild somewhere for some reason. Story-wise fine a short transitional period, but the argument about them getting shafted is bonkers. They willingly subjected themselves to that. They knew the risks, they knew the drawbacks. If they don't like it pick a guild, but we should never be making more accommodations for them. Even in the Cannon Guildless Wizards aren't well known, have a serious lack of training, and are usually hunted down if they get out of line. it is only when they belong to a powerful group or form one that they are allowed safety. So there.

    I personally don't feel we should go away with the guildless, because even though they are often shafted from things, many mages have reasons for being guildless. That being said, those who are quildless have chosen this and put this burden upon themselves, so they shouldn't complain in my opinion. But I feel being Guildless should still be an option, given that many mages have very good reasons for not being in a guild.

    That being said, this is just my opinion. I AM NOT TRYING TO START A FLAME WAR!!!

    ehhhh I'm gonna disagree with Almyra on us guildless folk needing to benefit from this, since it's our choice to have no guild... if you want guild benefits then join a guild.

    I'm also going to disagree with Fei's opinion of the guildless faction. Guildless is a necessary element since there are some characters who HONESTLY DO NOT fit with any guild. I'll use mine as an example:

    All Legal Guild --> Niyol is CS 1, so gonna stop there.

    Laughing Coffin --> Niyol doesn't associate with mercs (no offense)
    Sleeping Forest --> HAHAHAHAHA NIYOL'S PROBABLY A MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR TO IMBALANCE
    Pharoh's Call --> Uhhhh..... no killing allowed... nope. Niyol kills without mercy.


    Grim Heresy --> IRL I hate cults, IC, Niyol doesn't do them either
    Savage Skull --> Granted Niyol's CS1 and kills a lot, he doesn't do so because he enjoys it, just doesn't care to kill anything that gets between him and his goals.
    Tartarus --> the GM knows my reason for not being in there... and you know... if it weren't for that 1 reason, Niyol probably would join it.
    Basilisk Fang --> Again, same reason as SS


    Finally, Niyol doesn't care for the constant struggle between legal and dark guilds, and frankly, he'd rather not associate with either. He just wants to live his life, travel around, and be left alone with nothing but his tribal mark to show for where he belongs. So being guildless truly is the only option for him.

    Moving along:

    I'm disagreeing with guild crests needing to do something. As is, we have quite a bit of "things" to keep track of. For example:
    I have:
    5 Unique Abilities
    4 D Rank Spells
    3 C Rank Spells
    7 B Rank Spells (this is not including the 6 I got from the raffle)

    2 Pet abilities
    6 Multipart Weapon abilities
    4 Multipart weapon abilities

    2 Pet abilities
    2 Pet Weapon abilities
    2 Pet Armour abilities
    2 Pet magic item abilities
    3 Player Armour abilities (L+ and S+)

    Total is 42.


    So if Niyol were to join a guild (gods forbid) that's more things I gotta keep track of... and I have a hard time remembering my own spells as is. This is only my first reason for not wanting this sort of thing to come to fruition, but I do think the concept is interesting.

    @Niyol Yes, we can already do a lot of stuff. But this is just a small thing, a bonus even for being a member of a Guild. Your crest enchanted with a certain thing. That's all.

    NICE breakdown of why Guildless are necessary.....really, loved that.

    You also think that Guildless if this goes through should NOT get a perk. As it's their decision to revoke the benefits of being in a Guild. Interesting.

    As much as I enjoy this concept (which i really do), I am a bit concerned that people would join guilds for the perks of the guild crest instead of the beliefs and community of the guilds themselves. A little bit of a stretch, but it just irks me a little when people look for power over actual character development.

    You could argue that having guilds in general do that. Especially being that some of the more populated guilds can afford to give more away, and there is rapid chance for powering up rather than the smaller guilds. Any encouragement to join a guild should be welcome.
