Special Characteristics: Elspeth is a Celestial Spirit; thus, any time her HP hits 0, she is forced into returning to the Celestial Spirit World in order to regenerate. Likewise, she is also able to make a contract with a single Celestial Spirit Mage and may be summoned on jobs; however, she cannot get any rewards. She can retain herself in the living world for a set duration of time without the use of being summoned, but once exceeded, she is forced back to the Celestial Spirit World or her body begins to deteriorate.

Personality: Due to her motherly nature, Elspeth is a very compassionate woman, and would happily sit down to listen to someone's issues. This is a show of appreciation toward the person and a promise that she'll be there for them when they need the comfort. She isn't going to judge or outright abandon people if they express that they need someone to be there for them, whether saying it, themselves, or through body language. Over time, she has come to learn that even if a person says they don't need the comfort and thought of someone caring, they still do. Expressing her love for something or someone comes easily for her because she loves and cares for everyone the same. Her openness and willingness to understand those who are hurt, lost, and in need of comfort is what brings joy to those around her. It has made her out to be a very loving and caring celestial spirit, who would put her life on the line for the ones she cares about.

With her maternal side constantly showing through, and not just to her lovely spiders, she's become an overprotective spirit. She's known to put her life on the line for those she cares about deeply, and especially for the one who holds her key. While this connects to her compassionate part of herself, Elsie has also been known to get extremely jealous, leading her to being protective of someone. However, nothing is more important to her than knowing that a person, who is under her protection, is safe and sound. Their safety is more important to her than making sure that she, herself, stays alive and well for the ones she protects. Most may find this part of her annoying and want noting to do with her trying to protect them, but it's more than likely that they're appreciative of it. Who can't appreciate someone who's willing to sacrifice herself in order to make sure that they stay alive and safe?

Elspeth's age is simply unknown, but she has expressed over and over again that her knowledge is vast and expansive. She is wise beyond her years, that is to say if she had a set age, and will openly share information when needed. Wisdom isn't just about having knowledge though, as there is always something that can be learned in life. Elsie's a beautifully intelligent celestial spirit, but its her strength in knowledge that shows her to be rather shrewd. In and out of battle, she has good judgement, and while most may not come to her for advice, she's there to give it if needed. Very few are grateful for the things she knows about and does, though she doesn't mind being discriminated for her intelligence. If they can't learn to be thankful for something that she's free to give out, then that's their own problem, not hers.

While not necessarily a daredevil, Elspeth shows the great ability of being able to take on risky tasks and believe she'll make it out alive. Her confidence may get the better of her at times, and get her into a lot of trouble, depending on where she is, but it's the thought that counts. She'd offer to take the step up to the plate in battle, defend the life of her guild mates or her owner, and never falter. The passion that she shows inspires those around her, riling them up for battles and keeping them happy at all times. Though her determination is strong, everyone has a small part of doubt within themselves and even she has it. Sometimes, that abrasive nature of hers just isn't there and she may become fearful for her life and those she loves. So, she isn't always brave and she isn't always determined, but when she is, expect the lion to be out of its cage.

Unfortunately, Elsie has a tendency to get bored easily, and becomes restless, which may agitate her guild mates. Her wanting to be constantly active comes at the downfall that she can't always get what she wants in life. She is, at most times, stuck at the guild hall of Infinity Hydra, and unable to go out in the world to adventure. Yes, she's able to do this on her own, but she has a fear of venturing too far from home and being forced back into the Celestial Spirit World. Elspeth is fearful of suddenly disappearing on her guild mates without a word to them and never being able to tell them when she'll come back. If she's able to get someone to go on adventures with her, however, then she is far more willing to leave the guild. Out on adventures, she becomes this restless spirit who wants to see everything possible there is to see.

Her motherly nature does not just extend to her spider children; no, she shows just as much nurturing to them as she does to her human counterpart. She will be there to help people grow and blossom into their new selves, and loves watching as they grow. Elsie cherishes dreams, hopes, and ideas, and extends out her love to those important to her in order to help them develop. Nothing to her is more beautiful than being able to see people change for the better and show what she shows to others. With a tender and motherly touch, she treats the human race more as her children than anything else in the world. The only downfall to this is that if she gets too emotionally attached to something, the consequences are twofold on her. At some point, it's very possible that she could die from heartbreak, and the loss of those who are close to her is like a mother losing her child far too early in life.

She isn't bossy, she isn't tyrannical or authoritative, but when it comes down to making sure her loved ones are safe, she's overbearing. Think "helicopter mom," that parent who hovers around their child or children 24/7 in order to make sure they're happy and safe? That's Elspeth. . . she will be hovering over a guild mate the moment they become injured and trying to cure them, herself. It isn't uncommon to see her trying to make sure that everyone around her, in battle or not, stays out of harm's way. While some may be appreciative of such a nature, at times, it can become annoying and in your face than anything else. This is just her trying to show that she cares, but she doesn't know very well how to express it without being too motherly. It's not in her nature to be someone who sees people only as her friend; to her, everyone is a part of her family.

Everything excites this celestial spirit because no matter how old she is, something new is something new to her. She could sit and stare at a beautiful vase for hours, just admiring the intricate design because she finds it so fascinating. Her cheerful demeanor is what puts the pep in her step and keeps everyone going and inspired whenever she's around. It's very hard to get her down, but when something does get her down, she expresses it very easily to others. The noticeable change in her happy and optimistic viewpoint can bring even the most cheerful down with her. Most importantly, Elspeth is the happiest when she's around family or when she happens to be in the presence of her spider children. Elsie always has a smile on her face and it takes a lot more than a few harsh words to turn that smile upside down.

A worrywart more so or not. Elspeth tends to get herself worried over the well being of her loved ones before herself. Oftentimes, she worries over whether they'll come back home from war or a job and gets herself sick over it. Of course, she acts just like this to her spiderlings, worried that they may be stepped on by unsavory shoes and such. It's almost embarrassing to be seen as one of her spiderlings with the way she treats them by cooing at and loving them. The amount of relief that she feels when someone comes home to the guild, safe and sound, is inexplicable to her. She adores people far too much, so when she feels there's a threat at hand, she can't help, but think of all the possible bad things to happen. It is truly a bad habit on her part, but what can a mother do, other than worrying about the safety of her children?

If she's angry enough, Elspeth's words know no bounds, and may become hurtful unintentionally to those around her. She has a tendency to get extremely rude and wicked toward those who she finds mean and hurting to her children. In fact, she won't hesitate to backlash at someone and make them feel the same amount of hurt as the one they hurt. However, she has her manners, and it's really only when she's truly angered that she becomes ill-mannered and impolite. Otherwise, she tries to keep to herself, as the last thing she really wants to do is hurt someone's feelings with something she said. Her children mean a lot to her, she doesn't want to see them upset over something someone did that was mean. This goes for the human children as well, anyone who hurts them, she's bound to be rude to and get payback.

Elspeth is a slender woman, having a flat stomach, no love handles on her sides, and all the workings of a voluptuous, young lady. She is rather tall for a woman, most of her height belonging in her legs and the rest of it in her torso, equaling to 5'7". While her bodice is sleek, containing glossy and smooth, porcelain skin, she is shown to be physically fit, but she's never worked out a day in her life. No blemishes cover her body, no mole that dots her arms, legs, face, or stomach, no pimple to distort her beauty. However, the one thing that deters people from her are the four legs on each side of her body, menacing and surreal. They are large and long, covered with purple fuzz, that if someone touches it, they will be pricked by it. Not to mention that they also have sharp spikes coating their entirety, and even end in feet that are sharp as nails.

Oh, but her face is that of a divine goddess, something one would see in a dream, only to end in a nightmare. Her face is elongated and oval-shaped, shrouded by silken, black hair that cascades around it and ends at the small of her back. Bangs partially shield the almond-shaped eyes, which are goldenrod in irises, narrowed, and almost scrutinizing in nature. She has flushed, high cheeks and a slender, sleek nose, pinched at the end, held above luscious, plump lips. Devastatingly beautiful, marked as the black widow of the Celestial Spirit World and all the counting of danger. What is not appealing about a woman of this stature, with a face that could look as if it was carved out of stone? The very fact that behind those lips are fangs, simply waiting to bite down on their next victim and drain them of their blood.

What is better than to see the perfect outfit upon the perfect girl? Fishnet-styled, black leggings covering her legs. The leggings embraced by a bronze, metallic undergarment, topped with bronze and metallic garter belt and furry, purple skirt. Followed up by a long-sleeved, under-armor type crop top, designed to look like webbing on the neck and parts of the sleeves. This covered by a bronze and metallic breastplate, and shoulder-guards that are bronze and metallic as well, sharp and spiked at the edges. Her head crowned by an odd headband, shaped to look similarly like the fangs of a spider, short and sharp, jagged and doubled. Around her neck is the finality of her outfit, a scarf-like spider leg, wrapped tightly against her, ending in protruding, deadly claws. She is the totality of a tarantula, a black widow in the making; a dangerous look, but a motherly nature.
