Primary Magic: Arctic wind.
Secondary Magic: Illusion magic.
Description: Arctic Wind is an ice based magic which focuses on freezing and slowing down enemies, chilling them to the bone and hindering the functioning of their organs. It can also be used to create ice creatures, who on touch apply the same chilling effect.
Strengths:
- This magic focuses on affecting many foes in a large area
- All spells cast through this magic have very little to no cast time.
- Due to plants being vulnerable to cold and water easily freezing over this magic overpowers nature and water based spells of the same rank and deals double damage to plant and water based opponents
- This magic can be used both to create ice based attacks and animated ice creatures
Weaknesses:
- This magic, while powerful, doesn't distinguish between friend and foe.
- Channelling such frigid magic is not without cost. Casting a spell costs the user 5% of their maximum health.
- This ice based magic doesn't do well against fire magic (spells are automatically overpowered by fire spells of the same rank).
- Fire based opponents only take half the damage they would otherwise take due to the spells partially thawing/melting upon contact
- If the user gets too emotional they can lose control of their magic.
- Lineage (The Monkey King):
Description: The Monkey King, Sun Wukong, was a stone monkey given life. He learned supernatural abilities such as transformations and magic from taoist (Daoist in modern) practices. He was immeasurably strong and fast, able to lift his 17,991lb staff with ease and somersault 33,554 miles. He knew 72 different transformations, his fur had magical properties that could make a clone of himself or various weapons, animals, and other objects, he knew spells that can command wind, part water, and freeze humans, demons, and gods alike. Despite his given life, he rebelled against the gods, and was banished into imprisonment under a mountain by the Buddha. During his rebellion, he was injured and his blood was spilled. A human collected the fresh blood and preserved it. Many years later, in order to cure himself from a vicious disease, he drank the blood. Saving his life, he continued to live with superhuman strength and speed. Yet the true aspects of the blood remained dormant, and would awaken in future generations who carried his blood.
Ability: The user is able to transform into animals or objects. The user's strength and speed are increased by 25%. When in an animal form they gain a 50% boost instead.
The user is able to use One D rank wind spell of any type, and One C rank Ice spell for freezing enemies. (Created in the magic app as a normal spell would)
Usage: The strength and speed bonus are a passive. While in animal form the user may still use magic but it only lasts 5 posts and has a 6 post cooldown.
Unique Abilities:
- Arctic Weather: The user can turn their surroundings into a blizzard, slowing all creatures within the radius and hindering their sight.
Radius of blizzard:
D-Rank: 15 yards
C-Rank: 35 yards
B-Rank: 60 yards
A-Rank: 90 yards
S-Rank: 125 yards
H-Rank: 180 yards
Slows down creatures of the same rank by 10%. Increases by 10% with each post.
The blizzard can only last for three posts and has a cooldown of five posts. The user can freely act while the blizzard lasts and when the user moves the blizzard follows.
Counts as a debuff (meaning it follows the Buff Rules and can be resisted). Notable heat (such as a campfire or a heat based spell of the same rank) will decrease the slow by 10% each post. - Frozen Fury: The user can enhance the power of this magic with their emotions. Strong emotions can enhance the damage of spells by 50%. However if such a strong emotional state lasts for longer than two posts they will lose control over their magic, at which point they immediately lose 20% of their maximum magic and can't cast spells the next post as they have to regain control. Losing control also costs the user 10% of their maximum health.
- Unrelenting Cold: Any spell which affects a creature automatically slows it for 20% for two posts. If the target is hit by another Arctic Wind spell while they're already affected by Unrelenting Cold the duration is refreshed and the slow is increased to 30%.
Counts as a debuff (meaning it follows the Buff Rules and can be resisted). Notable heat (such as being in a desert or being in the presence of a heat based spell of the same rank) will remove one stack of Unrelenting Cold and reduce the duration by one post.

- D-Ranked Spells(5):
- Blizzard Jump:
Name: Blizzard Jump
Rank: D
Type: Wind, Supportive
Duration: Instant
Cooldown: 2 Posts
Description The user gathers energy in their feet and uses it to propel themselves at high speed in any direction. Allows them to cover a distance of up to 20 yards within one second, and can be used to travel over empty space or reach high areas. However if the user crashes into something during the jump they take D-Rank damage. If the object they collided with is a creature it also takes D-Rank damage.
Upon use inflicts Unrelenting Cold upon all creatures within 2 yards of the starting spot and any creature which comes into contact with the user during the jump.
Strengths:- Instant cast.
- Allows the user to ignore certain obstacles (such as ravines or difference in height).
Weaknesses:- User is not flying, only launched, meaning they can't alter their course or dodge attacks.
- Smashing into something during the jump will injure the user.
- Doesn't ignore obstacles which actively get in the way (barriers, boulders, buildings...)
- Only spreads Unrelenting Cold to creatures close to the starting spot and those who touch the user during the jump.
- Instant cast.
- Leopard Paw:
Name: Leopard Paw
Rank: D
Type: Ice, Offensive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: The user gathers their cold magic in one hand, preparing it for the next strike. Upon hitting the target with that hand sharp ice will rip through the target in the form of a leopard. Deals 1.5 D-Rank damage in addition to the unarmed strike damage. If there is another target directly behind the original target within 5 yards the leopard will deal 1 D-Rank damage to that target before shattering and melting.
Strengths:- Instant damage.
- Can hit two targets standing in a line if positioned correctly.
Weakness:- User has to actually hit the target.
- Leopard is purely cosmetic if there's only a single target.
- Leopard Paw activates upon releasing the magic gathered in the hand. Meaning if the user swings and misses they'll have wasted the spell.
- Instant damage.
- Breath of Winter:
Name: Arctic chill
Rank: D
Type: Ice, Offensive
Duration: 2 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Description The user releases a bone-chilling wind with their breath, freezing any target hit by it for two posts. The frozen breath can reach targets up to five yards away and in a 60 degree cone.
Strengths:- Arctic Chill lasts for another post against nature/water based objects and targets.
- Allows the user to incapacitate a target that comes too close, or multiple if they're bunched up enough.
Weaknesses:- Has a small range, meaning it only works on targets the user can get close to.
- Can also incapacitate allies. The user will have to be careful with using this ability if they are cooperating with others.
- Duration is reduced by one post for every rank the opponent is above the user.
- Affected targets can be thawed by a heat based spell of the same rank. Heat based spells of a lower rank or natural heat (desert or campfire) halves the duration.
- Deals no damage.
- Arctic Chill lasts for another post against nature/water based objects and targets.
- Ice Shield:
Name: Ice Shield
Rank: D
Type: Ice, Defensive
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown: 3 posts
Description: The user gathers and freezes the water in the air, creating a flat ice barrier three yards wide and three yards tall. This barrier acts as a physical obstacle and also protects against attacks. The barrier is so cold that it harms anybody but the user with 1 D-Rank damage upon touching it.
Strengths:- Instantly creates a shield that blocks twice the user's rank in damage.
- Deals damage to anybody who touches it and afflicts Unrelenting Cold.
- Also functions as a physical barrier.
Weaknesses:- Heat based opponents are unaffected by the shield.
- While large enough to protect the user and a couple of potential allies it isn't large enough to protect against truly large attacks, which would simply
- Unless the user warns allies they might also end up accidentally touching the shield and getting hurt.
- Short duration. Primarily works to defend against a single barrage or to surprise a charging enemy.
- Instantly creates a shield that blocks twice the user's rank in damage.
- Ice Blade:
Name: Ice Blade
Rank: D
Type: Ice, Offensive.
Duration: 1 post.
Cooldown: 2 posts
Description: The user covers their hand in ice, shaping it into a sharp and chilling blade. This blade is sharp enough to deal 1 D-Rank damage upon hitting an enemy with it, and instantly applies two stacks of Unrelenting Cold rather than one.
Strengths:- Fast attack that instantly deals damage.
- Can be used for pretty much anything a normal blade can be used for.
- Applies a strong slow upon hit.
Weaknesses:- Has a one post preparation time. However user can still do anything which doesn't require the use of that hand (movement, attacking with the other hand, casting one-handed spells).
- Heat based opponents only receive one stack of Unrelenting Cold, which only lasts for one post.
- Has a very short range.
- Can only hit a single target.
- Upon creation the blade only lasts for a very short while.
- Fast attack that instantly deals damage.
- C-Ranked Spells(1):
- Arctic Fury:
Name: Arctic Fury.
Rank: C
Type: Ice, Offensive.
Duration: 4 posts
Cooldown: 5 posts
Description A grand display of frozen might. The user fills the air with their magic, freezing the water in the air until it forms countless small but sharp icicles. These icicles will rapidly spin, forming a spherical area of death with a radius of 30 yards that will deal 1 D-Rank damage each post for a total of 2 C-Rank damage over the full duration.
Strengths:- Large radius.
- Deals an impressive amount of damage to enemies that stay inside the area for too long.
- Constantly applies and refreshes Unrelenting Cold.
Weaknesses:- Affects allies as much as it affects foes, meaning it can only be used if the user is either alone or their allies are protected against the frigid onslaught.
- A heat based spell of the same rank can be used to protect oneself against Arctic Fury. A heat based spell of similar size can be used to negate Arctic Fury all together.
- If used in hot locations the duration is halved.
- The area of effect is centred on the user's location upon cast, meaning it can't be used on targets which are far away and is only fully effective on targets that can't simply get out of range.
- Large radius.
