Mashyuu in: Fist of the Beast King!

Job Details:

The barren desert heat beat down upon Mashyuu, the rays of the sun causing his perfect, spiked brown hair to drip thick balls of sweat into his sky blue eyes, stinging them painfully so. Mashyuu raised a red and black fingerless glove covered hand over his eyes to shield them from the beams of natural light as he stepped closer and closer to what appeared to be a ram shackle village. He was supposed to meet Brenan there to help with a job that apparently needed to be done. Something to do with lions.

Mashyuu couldn't believe how hot it was, even to the Dragon Slayer of Earth. "Ughhh I should have studied under a fire Dragon..." Mashyuu groaned horesly while Rocky simply stared up at him with a twisted head. The Earth Golem never seemed to feel heat, or fatigue. In a major way Mashyuu was envious of that. He wanted to be a stone Golem, even if just for a day. The stone dog pushed it's body against the bare bottom half of Mashyuu's legs, the orange shorts hanging off Mashyuu's waist just barely slipping over Rocky's back. "I know buddy, you could have flown me but you said I was gaining wait and needed to sweat it out remember?" Mashyuu said through gritted teeth to Rocky.

The Earth Slayer barely took enough steps to make it into the small village, it's hut like homes all made of animal flesh that had been tanned and cured for the weather. Men and women milled about, working hard while children played games. Apparently a pride of Lions had been stalking the group during the night and killing many villagers. It made Mashyuu wonder why the tanned tribe, dressed in light weight and light colored clothes even bothered staying where they were. Mashyuu stopped a small child and asked about the village elder and the child pointed Mashyuu in the right direction. Carefully the Earth Wizard and Rocky stepped through the flaps of a tanned and large hut where an old man sat with crossed legs over a rug made of zebra skin. Mashyuu untied the brown one sleeved jacket from around his waist and slipped it on over his bare chest. "Hello sir, I'm Mashyuu from Sabertooth, I believe you are expecting me?"

Sitting on the opposite end of the tent on a small pile of pillows was an older man who wore small tokens of great power, Mashyuu could feel the magic from each of the items running through the older man. But just because they were powerful items didn't mean they were used for fighting. The man had a dark skin tone, clearly from years working in the sun. He was skinny and had a long beard on his face that was more shock white than anything. The old man motioned for Mashyuu to step forward and picked up a long pipe made of wood. Mashyuu drew closer to the man and smiled as the Chief extended the pipe and a small fire maker to the man. He motioned for Mashyuu to take a seat and smoke, prompting the Wizard to do so. It had been years since he had done so but once someone knew how to do it they didn't forget.

Taking a deep drag of the pipe Mashyuu returned it to the chief. The man set the pipe down on a near by table and spoke in a powerful tone. "Sabertooth Wizard. I have asked for your help because of the reputation your guild has in dealing with things that require a show of force. I large pride of Lion's have been hunting my people and now, there are to few to defend against the attacks. I ask that you hunt these beasts down and end them before they end us. Please bring me the leaders head." Mashyuu nodded his head up and down then smiled before speaking. "Of course. I would he happy to help you sir. Give me a day and I'll return with the body of this Lion king."

Mashyuu bowed low as a sign of respect and turned to walk out of the tent and begin his job. But really where would he start? The lions would have to be close by if they were attacking daily but they would have to be well hidden as well.

"Alright Rocky, lets fly. Get high up and lets see if we can find a hidden cave or place with shade near by that the lions might be hiding in." Mashyuu ordered. Rocky trotted up to the Slayer and grabbed him by the arms, flying up so high the air became cool. Mashyuu scanned the area while his pet spun him around slowly. Mashyuu took a few moments to spot a hidden cave, surrounded by a few small trees of lush green. "Rocky, down there!" He called out and pointed to the location of the hidden cave. Rocky soared low and swept towards the trees, landing just a few feet away from them and releasing Mashyuu from it's grasp.

Mashyuu adjusted his jacket and pushed his way through the branches of the trees and entered the cave. He rolled his eyes at how dark it was inside but off some twenty meters he could see a light coming in from the top of the cave. The Wizard smirked and took a single step forward and stopped, the scent of a massive amount of animals taking his senses for a roller coaster. "Rocky be on guard. This could get dangerously terrible." Mashyuu ordered Rocky to try and keep the creature on the guard in case they were attacked from a hidden passage. It wasn't wise going into the heart of the den but Mashyuu didn't really have much of a choice in the matter.

The Slayer slowly started to walk forward and raised his right hand, his slivered sword materialized in his palm and it's magic activated. The Wizard stopped and started looking around as he realized thanks to his ring that he was surrounded. The Wizard looked around, trying to see eyes, teeth or anything else that might give away the position of the animals as he realized that he was in danger.

An insanely loud roar filled the cave, hurting Mashyuu's sensitive ears and causing him to almost fall to his knees, the only thing keeping him up was the fact that ten young lions no older than ten or so came running at the Wizard. Mashyuu grumbled and took a step back then turned tail with Rocky flying at his side. The nearly human sized dog flew at the same pace Mashyuu ran as the two exploded from the trees to get a little out of a choke point where they might not be able to fight the swarm as easily. The ten lions rushed around Mashyuu and Rocky. While others might find this to be a bad situation Mashyuu considered it a boon. With his ring and sword working in tandem he knew that being surrounded wouldn't do him any harm at all. "Rocky, cover fire and turn what you can to stone." He commanded, the Gargoyle followed Mashyuu's command and took off into the sky, spinning through the air and hovering some ten feet above the Wizard to watch it's friend's back.

A lion came rushing at Mashyuu but went down with a swift howl as Rocky launched a long spew of stones at the animal. Mashyuu ducked low and allowed a second lion to soar right over the Wizard while he slashed his sword out and took the beasts legs out from under it. Blood spewed from the wound and went soaring through the sky while Mashyuu spun around to face three more lions. Slowly the Wizard stood up tall and proud while he stalked to his left. The lions all moved to circle the Wizard and Mashyuu considered weather using a real spell was even worth it against these creatures. It might be better to wait and use his magic against the stronger powers he felt in the cave.

"Eight left. I can handle them right? Yeah these things aren't anything special." Mashyuu mused to himself. He was just about to charge when two of the lions rushed him and took sweeps at the Wizard. Using his blade he blocked one and side stepped the other, narrowly avoiding a swipe at his throat. Mashyuu laughed at the attempt on his life and spun his blade around while dropping to a knee. Leveling the slivered weapon he pulled the trigger and fired a blast of magical energy into a far off lion sending it flying through the air where Rocky took a swipe at it and turned it to stone before it could fall and recover. With three of the lions down Mashyuu was starting to feel good about his chances against such weak foes. Then again this was really just a warm up.

The Slayer reached his fist out and slammed it into the face of a Lion that was brave enough to attack Mashyuu again, knocking the animal over from the force of his blow. Mashyuu aimed his blade again and put a round into the punched lion. The weapon started to glow as it's power recharged and Mashyuu stood up. The Earthen Wizard whipped his blade around and stabbed backwards, impaling one of the cubs and whipping his weapon forward, throwing the now dead lion into one if it's kin. "Poor things don't know when to give up. To bad too. I really don't want to kill them all." Mashyuu started to take count and realized there were only five cubs left. Or there were until Rocky came swooping down and grabbed one up like a Buzzard taking a snake and tossed the Lion high into the sky. Spikes jutted from Rocky's back and impaled the lion. A moment later the spikes retracted and the lion fell at the feet of it's brothers and sisters, dead.

With four now Mashyuu jumped into the fray putting two lions on each side of him. Mashyuu swung his blade left, blocking a swipe of claws the spun forward and threw his blade out while keeping it close to block a bite with the silvered blade. Mashyuu forced his blade in an upright position while the lion held the weapon with it's jaw, causing the lion to flip over and gave Mashyuu a chance to strike it with his closed fist. It yelped in pain while Mashyuu grabbed it up by the head and tossed it into an oncoming lion who was about to pounce. The lion rolled backwards and growled. Golden energy crackled through the Slayers right arm up until the point that he extended his right hand and the golden energy lanced into two of the lions, frying them into a burnt crisp.

With one lion left Mashyuu cracked his neck and snapped his fingers. Rocky came soaring in and slashed the beasts back, changing it to stone. Mashyuu took a deep breath in and inhaled the stone creature, killing it on the spot. Mashyuu felt some of his magical power restored to his body as he twisted around and made way for the cave again. Mashyuu used a flourish of his blade, spraying the ground with blood from the sharp weapon. The blade stopped glowing as it's magical power was rest and ready to use again. Rocky floated down to Mashyuu's side until the Slayer grabbed up a dead lion and tossed it into the mouth of the cave. Two loud roars echoed in response. The heavy foot falls of a lion grew closer and closer. Mashyuu took a series of small steps back and licked his dry lips. "Alright, here we go." Mashyuu said with a soft whisper and pushed his back past the trees again, getting ready for the worst of the worst.

The mouth of the cave exploded and the trees covering it went flying, roots and all. As a tree swept past Mashyuu he went wide eyed with wonder and fear. What stood before him was a thirty foot tall lion who was longer than he was tall. Mashyuu raised his brow sharply and swallowed hard. "Oh shit." He whispered and took a step back while whipping his blade around. "Ux, any ideas on how to take this thing down?" Mashyuu asked. Ux chuckled and if the Dragon spirit had a head to shake side to side he would have. Try not to get eaten. That's all I can tell you. Mashyuu rolled his eyes and smirked. This would be a good fight.

The lion roared and shook the ground with the force of the roar and jumped high into the air. Mashyuu started to crackle with golden energy and changed to a bolt of thunder as the lion landed. He re appeared above the creature and aimed his blade down. Grasping it with both hands he drove the blade down into the monsters back, causing it to roar with anger and buck wildly. Mashyuu pulled the trigger on the weapon twice, putting two small holes in the back of the monster. It leaned forward on it's front paws then sprang back to try to throw Mashyuu off. It worked, and the sword in Mashyuu's hand went with him until Rocky took flight and caught the Wizard, keeping him from falling. "Thanks buddy, now how do you feel about attacking that thing?" Rocky barked once then launched a stream of jagged stones from his body into the Lion's face. It howled in protest and swiped it's massive paws through the air and almost caught Rocky. If not for the fact that Rocky was twisting to gain air the Stone Golem would have been struck so hard it's wings may have exploded.

With the massive Lion sweeping for Rocky and missing just barely Mashyuu had the chance to try to chop the big tree down. He patted Rocky to let the Golem know to drop the Wizard. After free falling for a moment Mashyuu landed some five feet in front of it and reached his palm out towards the Lion. "Stone Spray!" He shouted and a cone of earth erupted from the ground and smacked into the Lion, doing nothing at all to the creature. At least nothing that Mashyuu could see. The Slayer groaned and took a step back while trying to figure out his next move. The Lion lunged for Mashyuu, mouth open wide in an attempt to bite him. "Nope nope. Stone Wall." The Wizards left arm came up at a ninety degree angle and blocked off the massive Lion's bite. However the jaws of the beast clamped down around the wall and yanked it up out of the ground in one swoop, crushing the wall on impact.

Mashyuu too the chance to race forward with his blade. His Dragon Slayer bloodline, gloves, boots and sword all making him move faster than anyone should ever move, carried Mashyuu to the Lion's front left paw where Mashyuu jammed his blade into the creatures paw, then pulled the blade out at an angle and raced for the back paw. Just as he was about to swing Mashyuu's ring rang with a warning and told the Slayer to move under the Lion. Swiftly rolling to his right the Slayer found himself under the Lion and just barely avoiding the strike of the massive Lion's it's paw dug through the ground and returned to it's position on the ground just before it twisted about and started to prepare a body slam to the ground.

Four legs all tensed up and jumped high into the air. Mashyuu watched it soar and held his arm out to pause Rocky before the creature could swoop in to help keep Mashyuu safe. The Lion started to come down while roaring it's rage. Masyuu crossed his arms over his chest and muttered. "Earth Swim." The moment he did so the ground came up around Mshyuu and surrounded his body, pulling him under ground and letting him move freely while leaving a shell of himself behind.

The Lion came down atop the shell of Mashyuu, smashing it into hundreds of pieces. Confused the creature sniffed the ground where Mashyuu was and slammed it's paw into the ground, trying to crush Mashyuu even further. Mashyuu however had other plans. He erupted from the ground and dragged his blade up the inside leg of one of it's back leg, ripping flesh and spraying blood all over the place. To counter the lion instantly smashed Mashyuu with it's back paw and sent the Wizard skidding across the ground, just barely hanging onto his bladed weapon.

Mashyuu pulled himself up off the floor and took aim with his right hand. "THUNDER FLASH!" He called out while extending his palm forward. Golden electricity slammed into the Lion's side and shocked it hard. Mashyuu smiled at the fact that he had finally done some real damage to the creature even if it seemed like he was doing almost almost nothing at first. Now he could tell how much he was starting to bother the beast of the jungle.

Rocky flew over head and retracted it's wings allowing for it to free fall. As it fell Mashyuu realized what it was doing but to late. Spikes shot out around the monster and it slammed into the Lion's back. The lion howled and bucked hard, tossing Rocky to the ground. The moment Rocky landed it swiped it's powerful claws at Rocky and sent it flying into the rubble that was formerly it's cave. Rocky hit the rubble and blended in so well that Mashyuu couldn't even see if it was still alive.

Mashyuu went wide eyed at the sight of Rocky going down in such a swift strike. He swallowed hard and took a half step forward while reaching out for the animal that was so far away. Rocky shook for a moment and pulled itself up off the ground and growled at the Lion. Mashyuu felt the blood in his body pump a little lighter and his focus return back to the massive thirty foot Lion. Mashyuu whipped his sword around a few times and rushed forward and jumped through the air, bringing his sword up and slashing his blade across the monsters belly and coming down in a rolling spin to face the monster's flank. Rocky had the same idea it seemed and ran under the monster going straight down it's belly to it's tail with it's sharp claws. The massive Lion's belly turned to stone as did it's blood as it hit the ground. Mashyuu pointed at a blood drop of stone and the rock floated to his finger tip. He brought it up and aimed it towards the Lion and shouted. "Rocky Bullet!" He shouted and blasted the monster in the side with the sharp stone. The Lion roared with anger and snapped it's maw at Mashyuu. The Wizard jumped backwards and called out "Earth Dragons Stone Pillars!" Four massive pillars of stone erupted from the ground and moved to block off the maw of the Lion. The maw of the Lion grazed along one of the pillars, but thanks to Mashyuu's ring the power of his spells were enhanced a great deal and allowed for one of the pillars to remain intact instead of crumbling under the pressure of the Lion's maw. Suddenly the Lion yelped as Rocky flew up and bit the massive Lion's tail sharply. It might not have done much harm but it was enough to allow an opening for Mashyuu. "Secret art: Earth Dragons Exploding Spike!" A long spike of stone jutted from the ground and ripped into the paw of the lion that Mashyuu hadn't stabbed yet. It roared in pain and yanked the paw up just in time for the spike to explode and deal even more damage to the Lion's paw.

With the spike exploding and causing harm to the beast Mashyuu called out to Rocky. "Get to high ground and try to find something we can use to trap this thing with, leaving it in the open is going to work against us!" Rocky spread it's wings and soared high in the sky, whipping about and going off to see what it could see. The stone guardian looked out to the hot desert of the land and saw the village just a short flight away, an hour or so at most. Could Mashyuu hold out that long? Rocky wasn't sure but there was a chance that what the stone Golem needed would be there.

Back at the battle field Mashyuu and the Lion were engaged in a fierce melee. Pillars of stone whipped about, deflecting blows from the Lion while Mashyuu slashed and stabbed at the air, trying beyond hope to land a killing blow against the monster. The biggest issue was that the Lion was so tall Mashyuu couldn't really hit it with any of his non ranged attacks. Sadly most of his attacks were melee oriented. The Slayer raced forward and slid on his knees under the Lion. He Reached one hand up and the other, holding his blade out. "Hail of Stones!" He shouted and all around him thick rocks shot up and around the Wizard, pelting the Lion's legs hard, drawing shallow but stinging wounds all around the beast.

Mashyuu grinned at the fact that the monster wasn't able to avoid the hail of stones but that didn't really seem to matter. The beast could take a beating like no other. It was still up and dancing around the Slayer. "Might as well be fighting another dragon eh?" Mashyuu mused to himself while running out behind the Lion as it slashed through the last of Mashyuu's stone pillars.

Back at the village Rocky soared down into the village and looked around confused, there were no men or women out working, the sound of children playing couldn't be heard and Rocky felt a ping of concern in it's stone heart. Suddenly a high pitched cry for help ripped through the silence of the village. Rocky scanned the area and started to run about the tented village. Mashyuu needed help but he would be even more upset if Rocky didn't do something to at least try to help whoever cried out. Rocky came to a large tent that had five men with spears outside, each fending off a Lioness and two cubs. The Earth Golem barked loudly and slammed it's side into one of the cubs as it charged, spikes ripping through the cub as Rocky ejected spikes from it's torso.

The duo rolled to the ground while stone spikes retracted from Rocky's body. The animal sprang up and roared a meek little roar. One of the Lionesses gave up on trying to fight the men with spears and turned it's attention to Rocky. Rocky stood firmly on it's four legs for a moment then brought itself to an upright position while wings sprang out from it's back and claws ejected from it's front paws. Rocky's face twisted as it mimicked Mashyuu's normally proud pace from side to side as if waiting for the Lioness to make the first move.

Charging Rocky, the Lioness jumped up and slashed at Rocky. The stone animal let the beast strike and do almost nothing to the Golem. Instead Rocky bit the Lioness in the back of the neck and slashed it's claws at the beast, causing it to howl in pain and turn into stone for a moment. Rocky pushed the beast over and shattered it while howling in victory.

The last cub that was with one of the hunters heard it's mother cry out in pain before it was changed to stone and shattered, then twisted around to face Rocky. The stones of Rocky's mouth twisted into a soft smile as the cub raced for the stone dog. Rocky dropped into a position ready to brace and when the cub slammed into Rocky and pushed the stone golem back a pace Rocky wrapped it's claws around the cub's body, leaned back and threw the cub through the air and into a near by fire pit that was still crackling with hot flames. The fire licked at the tan cub and burned it alive for the villagers to eat.

It was then the other four other female Lions and their young cubs all twisted to face the stone golem. Rocky barked and took flight, twisting in a spiral pattern high into the sky while it took in a deep breath of air. Spreading it's wings far it dove back down as fast as it could and grabbed one of the cubs while the others all took a swipe at the creature. Rocky tossed the cub towards the spear men who each jabbed at the cub and ended it before it could do any real harm to the village. Rocky spun about and landed on the ground again taking a swipe at a Lioness who managed to bite into Rocky's earthen flesh and take a chunk of stone with it. Rocky howled in pain then unleashed a stream of rocks into the lioness that bit into it, dropping the creature on the spot. Rocky took an uneasy step back while holding the arm the Lioness bit. Dirt poured from the creature like blood as the five spear men moved to help defend their village from the remaining three Lionesses and their cubs.

The guardsmen of the village each took a stance forward and pointed their spears, five arcane symbols appeared around the metal tips of the spears and crackled with blue energy. Suddenly blasts of pure power lanced out and struck the cubs, each of them falling dead from the sudden impact of magical power that exploded from the spears. Rocky barked happily at the sight of the spear users showing some sign of battle prowess among the village. It was good that they could do something but Rocky understood how even those spells wouldn't do any damage against the massive Lion Mashyuu was currently fighting against. Rocky snapped back to the fight as a Lioness charged the men. Rocky raced forward and met the Lioness head on, rolling into a ball with the creature and stopping just a few feet away from the men. The other two Lionesses charged the men and engaged in a massive battle.

Rocky came up and jammed it's elbow into the jaw of the Lioness then grabbed it by the paw and flipped it over, rattling it's insides to the point of either knocking it out or killing it. Rocky wasn't sure. Rocky grinned and put it's attention back to the other two Lionesses. Two of the hunters seemed to have one of the beasts well taken care of and were currently slashing the tips of their spears across the ribs of the Lioness. Rocky broke into a full on sprint towards the surviving beast and smashed both it's claws at the same time, changing it to stone. The men took a step back and fired a blast of arcane energy into the Lioness just as it changed back, blowing the massive beast away in process. The men raised their spears and cheered loudly. Rocky walked over to a large tent to look inside and noticed it was empty. Swiftly it flew out of the tent and grabbed it by the center with all of it's paws. A few moments later it was headed back to the fight that Mashyuu was having with the king of the jungle.

Mashyuu found himself worried that he would never really be able to bring this beast down. It was like no matter what he did to it the creature was just pushing the pain away and continuing to fight. He was starting to get tired and the pain of battle was pulling his muscles apart in a scream for air and relaxation. Just before the Slayer collapsed from simply spreading himself thin, Rocky soared over head with a giant tent and dropped it. The Lion looked up confused as the tent wrapped around the beast and tangled up around the creatures limbs. Mashyuu couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the Lion struggling to get out from under the massive blanket.

"Alright, lets wrap this one up... Earth Dragons Tomb!" He called out and slammed his fists together. The ground around the Massive Lion erupted and collapsed around the beast, swallowing it hole and crushing it's body hard. Mashyuu fell to his rear and laid in the hot dirt of the desert while looking up at the sun and Rocky coming down low. Eventually Rocky landed at Mashyuu's side and lapped it's tongue up Mashyuu's face playfully. "Yeah, you did good buddy." Mashyuu whispered while sitting up. The ground eventually rumbled and ejected the beast. "Dragging that head is gonna be a bitch. I think it's as big as the ego of some Wizards we know Rocky." Mashyuu joked while pulling himself up to his feet and stalking towards the tent covered Lion.

Mashyuu wondered if it's paws would make a good set of armor or if maybe part of it's fur would fetch any jewels back around the Ace of Spades. Thinking about it made the Wizard want to skin it right there but he had no idea how to even start doing that. Instead he pulled the tent flaps as hard as he could, throwing it and watching the best. For some reason he felt like the beast was still alive, even though it should have been dead after the tomb crushed the massive Lion.

A wave of fatigue washed over the Slayer and he fell to his back. Lightly his clawed fingers grasped a massive hunk of dirt and placed it to his lips. "Rocky... I'm so hungry.." Mashyuu muttered while he chewed on clump after clump of sandy dirt. If there was one kind of dirt Mashyuu hated it was sand. It was always bland and itched his throat. Hell it was the sole reason he didn't use the sand armor spell anymore. Mashyuu sat up and looked at the massive beast of a Lion while Rocky rolled on it's back past the Wizard, happily barking and clearly felling better than it had all day.

After once again pulling himself up off the ground Mashyuu walked over to the beast and started to climb it. The climb wasn't as bad as Mashyuu had thought it would be, finding it far easier than expected thanks to the long tufts of fur the Lion had. After coming up to the Lion's neck Mashyuu called his blade to hand and whipped it about while taking aim at the creatures throat. "A worthy foe. I'll be sure to bury the rest of your body and give it a proper rest so you can find peace." Mashyuu spoke to the dead beast.

Suddenly the massive Lion's body started to convulse and quake under Mashyuu until he went tumbling head first down to the ground. With a loud thump Mashyuu landed on his back and looked up at the monster in awe. "Oh hell." He muttered as the beasts eyes flashed open with a fury that Mashyuu had only ever seen in a few creatures in all of his life. Coming to it's friends aid, Rocky swept over to Mashyuu and bit down on his jackets collar, pulling Mashyuu to a seated position at the same time the Lion pulled itself up and roared to the heavens, shaking the sky and earth with the force of it's roar.

Mashyuu stood up and made a dead sprint to try to avoid the Lion while Rocky soared high into the sky. The Lion lowered down and took off at a break neck speed, sending wind flying past Mashyuu as it stopped in front of the Slayer and barred it's teeth. The force of it's run and stop lifted Mashyuu off the ground and sent him stumbling to his knees. Mashyuu slid up to his hands and knees, springing up to his feet and drawing his sword while a ping of fear coursed through his body. The beast of a Lion tilted it's head fro side to side for a moment then lunged at Mashyuu. The Slayer turned into a bolt of golden electricity and shot into the sky for a moment.

As he appeared above the Lion he pulled his right arm back and let golden sparks fly off his arm. He pushed the hand out, palm open: "Thunder Flash!" He shouted and slammed a high powered bolt of electricity into the head of the Lion. The attack seemed to singe the fur of the beast but aside from that did nothing. Mashyuu landed on his feet and curled his fingers then slashed his claws towards the beast as it swiftly turned around. The shock wave slammed into the monster and brought it to it's knees while Rocky made a pass, spewing stones into the monsters spine, drawing blood from the monster. The Lion howled in pain and bucked about while it howled towards Rocky. The ripples in the air that the howl made knocked Rocky out of the sky, sending him in a tail spin towards the ground until he touched down in a small plume of dirt. Mashyuu gritted his teeth and extended his palm towards the Lion. "Earth Dragons Stone Fist!" He called out and smashed a fist into the the face of the Lion to try and pull it's attention away from Rocky to the best of his ability.

Under Mashyuu a stone fist rose up and launched high into the air, smashing into the Lion's jaw and causing it to stumble back. As it slipped backwards it took a swipe at Mashyuu. Mashyuu jump! The Ring on his finger commanded. The Earth Slayer did as he was told and jumped into the air and brought his knees up to his chest and narrowly avoided a set of sharp claws slamming into his sides. The moment his black boots touched down he threw up a wall of stone by pulling his left arm up in a sharp ninety degree angle. The Lion roared and tried to frighten the Slayer but apparently keeping the wall up protected him from that fear effect the roar seemed to give off.

Mashyuu could feel hot sweat rolling down his face to the sandy ground under him. His left palm slowly rose up off the ground and he muttered under his breath. "Earth Fog" The ground around the Wizard rumbled for a moment and a thick plume of dirt shot up around the Wizard, masking him in a fog of dry dirt that whipped about in all directions. The Lion howled and took a step back. While Mashyuu couldn't see he could feel the animal backing up and knew that a charge was coming. Slowly he pushed his right hand out and forced the stone wall to move closer to the edge of the fog. That would be his warning that it was time to act.

The plan was simple, Mashyuu would wait until the wall in front of him collapsed, then he would use his earth Swim to fall under the ground and spring up behind his foe. Using his ability to sense tremors he would place an exploding spike under the lion's paw and dry to hobble the foe as best as he could.

A low rumble filled the air for a moment, causing Mashyuu's heart to skip a beat then suddenly his wall shattered. The Earth Slayer let the ground suck him in and spit him out behind the Lion as it smashed into a stone copy of Mashyuu. The Wizard moved to act fast. "Secret art> Earth Dragons Exploding Spike!" He called out and threw a spike under the paw of the Lion. It howled in pain and twisted as the spike exploded. A moment later it jumped out of the fog and it's teeth moved to clamp around Mashyuu. "Armor of Stone!" Mashyuu called out and activated his signature spell to wrap himself in a thick armor. That armor saved his life as teeth crunched through the stone plates and lifted Mashyuu off the ground, flinging him around like a rag doll.

Opening his palm Mashyuu summoned up the strength needed to create a weapon. "Earth Dragons War Hammer!" And allowed for his dragon gloves to create the stones required for his hammer. Once in hand he swung the hammer as hard as he could, smashing the hammer into the eye of the Lion, causing it to cry out in pain and let Mashyuu fall. His armor was barely intact as he smashed into the ground and rolled to his back. "What the hell.... This thing got stronger!" Mashyuu complained to himself and threw himself up onto his feet. The fact that he wasn't bleeding was a blessing from the gods as far as Mashyuu was concerned and it was times like these that he was humbled beyond belief. There was always something stronger than you out there and sometimes things required friends to take down. Still he was happy that nobody was around to see him getting tossed around so easily. Mashyuu swallowed hard and whipped his hammer about, calling back to the training he received from Emilia.

Mashyuu's hammer made sounds cutting through the air as he got used to the feeling of the hammer. The Wizard watched as the Lion started to stalk the Slayer and Rocky took to the sky again. Mashyuu wanted to tell the stone golem to not try to help him but he knew Rocky wouldn't listen to him in this situation. No what Mashyuu needed to do was give Rocky an opening. The Wizard roared and shouted out. "Earth Dragons Wisdom!" Mashyuu's body started glowing brown and his muscles expanded slightly while his skin took on a scaled tone.

This spell always disrupted his ability to use the Dragon Force so Mashyuu didn't use it often but he doubted the Lion would give him the chance to eat as much earth as needed to hit Dragon Force. With his extra buff in power Mashyuu rushed the Tiger, moving faster than he should have, Mashyuu summoned his sword with his left hand and activated it's magical power. His right arm brought his hammer down on the ankle front ankle of the lion, while his sword slashed the front leg opposite of his hammer. The blade healed some of Mashyuu's wounds while the hammer slowed the beast down, forcing it to hobble and giving Rocky the opening he needed.

Seeing the opening needed Rocky started to sweep in low, cutting air with his wings while spikes started to grow out of it's back and face. Tucking in on itself Rocky took on the shape of a ball and crashed into the back of the Lion's head, drawing a sharp amount of blood and ripping out of the Lion, only to run down it's back and take off into the air again. Annoyed the Lion braced it'self on it's front paws and kicked out hard with it's back legs, smashing into Rocky and causing it to yelp in pain as it was sent sailing through the sky unable to control itself.

With Rocky flying out of the sky Mashyuu knew he would need help, his mind told him to blow all his magic now but reasoning alerted him to start small and let his magical reserve replenish. "Rise Dark One!" He called out and let the small shadow imp rise from the ground. It looked at the massive Lion above it and then back to Mashyuu while shrugging it's shoulders. "Master I not think I can eat that." Mashyuu handed the Dark One his sword and pointed to the Lion above. "Just keep it busy will ya?" The Dark One Swung the sword about and happily nodded up and down then vanished in a plume of smoke to swing at the beast.

Mashyuu smiled happily and turned to go help Rocky. Smoke surrounded the slayer and he vanished in a plume of smoke, appearing some ten meters away, then did so again. Soon he was scooping Rocky up in his arms and holding the stone Golem while looking back at the fight going on with the Dark One. It looked like the Dark One was making little nicks in the massive Lion while the beast couldn't seem to catch the teleoprting shadow creature. Mashyuu patted Rocky on the face while examining the stone creature to see if it was dead. After a moment he could hear it's little heart beating, even if it was slow. Mashyuu felt relief wash over him and placed Rocky down on the ground then narrowed his eyes towards the massive Lion.

With a simple snap of his fingers Mashyuu was atop the Lion in a cloud of smoke, standing with the Dark One. He lifted his hammer up high and dropped it down into the spine of the beast, cracking bone and ripping flesh. The Dark One hacked at the ear of the Lion, severing the monsters ear and causing it to fly through the air while the Lion cried out in pain.

With the Lion on the defensive Mashyuu tossed his hammer at the Dark One, who in turn passed the sword to Mashyuu. Together both of the fighters vanished and appeared under the Lion's feet. Mashyuu slashed at the creatures leg, the force of the blow healed his own wounds in the process while the Dark One smashed the hammer into the same ankle Mashyuu had wounded just a few moments before. Howling in pain the Lion roared and stumbled, nearly tripping while Mashyuu and the Dark One teleported out from under the beast. With a loud crash the Lion fell to it's side and glared at the pair of fighters. It's howl stunned Mashyuu and kept him frozen in place while forcing the Dark One back to it's shadow realm.

The Earth Wizard would have swore if he could but not even his jaw would move to allow him to speak. The massive Lion pulled itself up off it's side and bit down hard on Mashyuu, ripping his stone armor to shreds and puncturing his chest as it shook Mashyuu like a rag doll and threw him aside. The Slayer soared some twenty feet then rolled across the rough ground, cutting himself up more than he already had been. For a moment he laid lifeless while he was still under the effect the mighty Lion's roar. So I've fought Nekromancers, Dark Guilds, Evil cults, zombies, ghosts, men who held the power of the sun, a woman who I love, sirens, and Dragons. But this fucking Lion is what's going to do me in? Mashyuu thought to himself. He could feel the Lion closing in to end the Wizards life and part of him was ready to accept it, even though he had plenty of fight left in him. Have faith young Slayer. I will keep you alive as long as I can.

Have faith young Slayer, I will keep you alive as long as possible. Ux, the spirit in Mashyuu's ring echoed in his mind. The Earth Wizard's body relaxed as he felt the dark forces inside him struggling to release themselves and with Mashyuu unable to resist due to his current state Sin and Hell Brood erupted from his form, one flying one sliding towards the Lion to protect their home. Mashyuu couldn't see what was happening at the moment but he could hear it.

Sin, the snake like creature bolted between the Lion's legs, drawing the beasts attention while the Hell Brood soared high, using it's echo location to see it's foe. Sin took glancing strikes with it's tail at each of the Lion's legs, causing the beast to yelp in pain while the Hell Brood launched a blast of dark matter straight into the back end of the Lion, knocking it on it's back legs and forcing it into a seated position.

Slowly Mashyuu started to get feeling back in his limbs but it didn't come fast enough, the sound of battle behind him drove the Wizard on to fight the fear still surging through him. Eventually he managed to roll to his side to look at the battle raging on with the Lion.

The beast Sin sank it's fangs straight into the heel of the monster like Lion. Swiftly the shadowed creature drank the blood of the Lion, healing Mashyuu's wounds and pushing some of the fear away in the process. The Hell Brood swept low and slashed it's claws along the back of the Lion. While the wounds were superficial at best it caused long, shallow wounds that stung the beast to no end. Mashyuu's lips curled up in surprised joy at the sight of his demons working together so well. Twisting around the Lion, the Hell Brood swept low under the beast and snatched up Sin, launching him straight at the Lion's throat. The moment Sin latched onto the throat of the beast Mashyuu felt the fear wash away from his body and knew he could move again.

The fear that held Mashyuu had vanished thanks to the combined attack of Hell Brood and Sin, in addition he could fell his wounds sealing shut. Mashyuu pulled himself up to his feet once again and dusted himself off. Dragon Force wasn't an option at this point, his attacks had done some damage but Mashyuu wasn't sure if it was enough. Still the chance to watch the Hell Brood and Sin lay into the Lion was to good to pass up. Mashyuu simply stood by and watched while Sin wrapped it's long body around the Lion's neck as best as it could to cut off air flow. The Lion howled in annoyance and braced itself then jumped high into the air, cutting wind with the force of it's jump. As it came down the Lion's legs spread out wide and it slammed its neck into the ground, crushing the serpent Sin in the process.

Mashyuu twitched from the impact as Sin was destroyed from the blow and sank back into Mashyuu's body. The Wizard dropped to his knee and started scooping at the ground. While he couldn't access the Dragon Force he could replenish his much needed mana pool while the Hell Brood kept the massive Lion busy. His jaw sank down into the dirt, taking large chunks of stone from the ground while he chewed hard and fast, swallowing as best as he could like a wild beast.

Hell Brood in the mean time soared to face the Lion and fired a blast of Dark Matter straight into the monsters eye, blowing it out and causing blood to flow from the wound in the process. Fed up with the Hell Brood the Lion recoiled even in it's rage, then it slashed it's clawed paw at the small beast, just barely missing the Brood thanks to the injury the smaller creature had inflicted just moments ago.
