Trials and Travails, and the Good Fun in-between (Open)

Usually the Soul Bar would be packed with all-comers to Talonia the scene was a well-known dive for those who had reason to come to the fair town, however on this night was mostly an idled one as few patrons nursed their drink. Within one corner of the bar was a cloaked figure with form sprawled out into the corner booth. At one side, the bone scabbard sat freely and at the other a wooden buckler. These items seemed to be placed into some sort of container for they would disappear shortly leaving only the cloaked one. Now to wait, for she awaited the arrival of those who would be willing to have a good time with her. The light of the fire dispersed some shadow of the hooded garment, revealing a few idle threads of silken blue hair and the twin cerulean eyes which awaited idly. Any who arrived would only see the cloak of black silk and scant features visible. But, on the table was a gourd of mahogany with red cap and a long-stringed lute also made of mahogany. Both had several inscriptions on them of what seemed runes.

Wolfe was finally making his way back from the outskirts of nowhere. He had been gone for a while now, so long in fact that he no longer had a guild. He knew Ardere would take him back, as he had told him before he left, but still it was going to be interesting either way. On that note he was still trying to get used to all of this. Then again, how does one get used to a new body? In truth he wasn't  sure what he was supposed to do, as now he wasn't dying but everything he had always used to push himself was gone. All he had left was to find his sister.

Wolfe was flying through the air in lightning form as he he crossed over a river he noticed a town not that far off in the distance, and decided to take a stop and maybe try to get his mind off of everything. A few seconds later a bolt of lightning crashed down into the middle of the street and a there was a flash and suddenly there stood Wolfe. A few people stood awed by what they saw, others ran. He paid no attention to any of them as he looked around and noticed a little place with a sign that read Soul Bar. Wolfe smirked as he made his way over to the front door and strode into the bar.

Wolfe stood there for a second as he took in the scene. He stuck out like a sore thumb with his red leather pants and boot, no shirt, and white hair, but that didn't matter to him. He walked right in and took a seat at a table in the middle of the bar and threw his feet up on the table as he waited for a waitress. A few moments passed before one came to the table. Wolfe put his hand into his pocket and pulled out more then handful of jewels and placed them on the table as he gave her a smile "Hey lass, i would like a barrel of the strongest if you don't mind, and yes i mean a barrel." He gave her a wink and a sly smile as she blushed a little and ran off to fill his order. Wolfe threw his hand behind his head as he leaned back and pushed the chair back so he was leaning it on just it's back legs.

Daniel walked into the bar and jogged up to the bar counter, hood of his odd-looking short sleeve blue sweatshirt. He had been taking little trips around this area to memorize the terrian. He talked to the bartender and asked for a drink, but he had no money, so all the bartender could give him was water. "That'll do," Daniel said, picking up his glass of water and chugging it. He set it down and asked for another. As the bartender got another, he picker up his glass of water and went to sit in the back of the bar, and pulled off his hood.

He pulled off his hood and looked around at the few people their. Some ordinary people, a shirtless dude and a strange one two tables away in a corner. He tried to study her, but there wasn't much to study. Shrugging and taking a sip of his drink, he leaned back on his chair and ran his fingers through his tassled hair. He then stretched his legs under the table and looked at the shirtless man who was precariously balanced on the back legs of a chair. Daniel snorted and thought, He'll fall off and give himself a nasty headache. Then he took a sip of his water and decided to play with it. Using some magic, he just created little sparks in the water, lighting it up. But after 10 seconds he got bored, and started looking around again. He looked up and saw some markings on the girls belongings. He shrugged and thought about what he was going to do after he left this town.

The blue-haired beauty watched at the shirtless figure walked through the doors and into the Soul Bar, examining him carefully as he stood there for a second. He then would proceed to take a seat at the table next to her table and waited for the waitress to come on and take his order. Yuki silently observed through it all, though at that time it seemed like another was making an entrance to the Soul Bar as her eyes now focused upon Daniel as he entered, cool cerulean hues focusing on him before drawing down the hood to reveal plumes of icy blue hair in silken threads with beautiful tanned countenance. she spoke to Wolfe in a dulcet tone, "The best booze you will be able to find won't be from a barrel of this establishment. Why don't you sit down at my table and take a swig of some Bloodwyne. Even an elemental could get drunk off of my brew."

She didn't await for him to respond, taking up the Lute and beginning her chord, strumming the strands of golden material to create the harmony of a song. Yuki would weave together the melody from the lute's strings into a sullen tune that joined with the harmony to form an acoustic song. The melody served to melt away weariness in the bones and remove fatigue. In fact, the song would make one feel lively if they were not of the reserved type.

Wolfe was really enjoying the moment as he he leaned back in is chair. He noticed as another walked in the bar and up to the bar. Wolfe didn't look like he was paying attention, but when you were a wizard for hire like any wizard in a guild you started to hone your senses, He caught from the corner of his eye as the man ordered waters and how he made sparks while he played with the second glass. Wolfe could only guess this guy was a fellow lightning user, which he actually hadn't ran into a lot of them during his time a working wizard. Wolfe took a mental note and continued to wait for the barrel he ordered.

However, that is when he heard the woman's voice from behind him make an interesting boast. Wolfe turned his head a little to catch a slight glimpse of the woman from the corner of his eye, but it was a hard as she was almost exactly behind him. Wolfe's legs were one on top of the other and propped on the table, so Wolfe tapped one heel on the table so his legs were hovering just above the table instead of touching it, and he made  quick shift of his weight as he popped the chair a little and now it was only on one leg. He then used the same heel and made a slight swipe so his chair spun without moving another muscle. Just as his chair did a full 180 he lowered his legs on top of the table the woman was sitting at and as he did the other back leg landed back on the ground and he was once again sitting with his legs propped on the table, hands resting behind his head.

Wolfe gave the woman a look up and down as she was now sitting across from him. She was more then a little easy on the eyes. Wolfe smirked as he spoke "Well bonnie lass, that is quite a boast there. I don't know how much you know about the creatures of this world but elementals are being of pure energy made up od the element they are. So they tend to burn through food and drinks pretty fast from what i hear. However, i would like to see this magical drink you speak of, it interest me. The name is Wolfe, and what do i call such a lovely lass such as yourself?" Wolfe played off like he was pretty suave with women, but in truth he had absolutely zero experience dealing with them besides as a partner in a job, but he could still put on a strong face and hope it worked.

Daniel looked toward the table that Yuki was sitting at and thought, The shirtless dude is an elemental? And did she say bloodwine? Daniel shook his head as Wolfe swung around and propped his legs on Yuki's table."You'll break your neck if your not careful," Daniel said. Then he went backto playing with his water. And he laughed at Wolfe's accent. He got up and sat down at Yuki's table. "I've never met peoplelike you two before. Apparently, your an elemental and have a peculiar accent, and you," he said pointing to the girl, "Are seriously mysterious."

Daniel sipped his water and put it down, and said to Wolfe, "Wait, are you trying to get drunk?" Daniel snorted and said, "If you are, then you're crazy." Then he sipped his water again. Daniel scratched his side and then he started playing with his water again, until he realized he didn't know these people. "Well, I forgot something. I'm Daniel, and it's a pleasure to meet you all. What are you're names?" Daniel asked. Then he started sparking his water in a pattern, making a spiral and a helix. Then he kept doing it while casually leaning back in his chair.

The gourd was produced and placed upon the table with a simple flick of the wrist. The gourd was of matte gray hue with brilliant crimson cap atop it. Circling around the item's length seemed to be words in a strange cuneiform. The gourd would spread the aroma of juniper berries upon the cap being removed, as red liquid sloshed within. Despite one's form they would find themselves utterly inebriated if they drank from the liquor, which Wolfe would experience soon enough once he took a drink. "Here you go, Wolfe, I hope you believe in miracles because one is about to happen according to your beliefs. All you have to do is simply drink the red liquor and my boast will be proven."

"Would you like to come sit at my table, Mr Ross? Perhaps, you could play witness to something which has been deemed as impossible. As for me, I am Yuki Chimei, but you can simply call me Yuki." Yuki focused on the other now, absorbing the facets of Daniel's appearance with a smile played upon the crease of her lips.

Wolfe couldn't help but smirk at the man from the bar's comment about breaking his neck. If ONLY something that simple could actually hurt him at this point. Wolfe stared down the woman in front of him as the man from the bar started to mind his own business again only to turn and make his way over to the table where they were. Wolfe couldn't pin point what it was about this woman, but he knew there was something behind the wall of physical beauty. She was obviously a looker, and Wolfe couldn't and wouldn't deny that, but there was more there, and maybe over a few of these "miracle" drink he might find out.

On the other hand this newer comer to the table was a young man, roughly around his own age, and from what Wolfe had witnessed out of the corner of his eye used his element. This meant he was of interest of Wolfe in one way or another. Wolfe was always looking for lightning users, but the element was fairly uncommon at best. It did make sense though, as it was a element that was hard to control and even harder to master cause it was pure power and energy in a form that desired to move and act in a way that could only be described as chaotic and this made it hard for one to "connect" to it. For one to master their magic they needed to "feel" their magic at a certain level deep with in themselves. This also meant on a certain level this man had a soul that Wolfe could understand somewhere.

Wolfe listened as both his new companions spoke. He turned to Daniel as he answered him first "Well, yes. I intend to test this lasse's claim. I am always up for challenge, and not only that, but i would never turn down a drink with such a lovely woman such as herself. That would be just plain rude, and stupid. As for a name, please call me Wolfe." As he finished his words at Daniel he leaned forward to place all four legs of his chair on the ground and then swung his legs off of the table and leaned forward even more as he made eye contact with Yuki "Please don't misunderstand, it is not impossible, just extremely rare, and very hard to pull off. As for your offer, i do believe it would be nothing less then rude ti turn down a drink from such a lovely host such as yourself. ohhh, and as for miracles, i do believe in them, hell, i would say i live for them if you would." Wolfe reached out and took the gourd and brought it to his lips.

As he did he caught a whiff of the fluid inside and the glanced at the writing on the gourd itself. It was an old writing. He had seen writing like it in his book, which meant this was old magic. However, back then magic was more simple, and based on basis principles. Closer to the core of magic itself. Wolfe figured there had to be magic involved for someone to make a boast such as she was making, but Wolfe would take his chances though. He was always up for a challenge as he had told Daniel and if this was a trap, he worked best with the chips stacked against him, and if this was legit, then he was in for a good time.

With a wink towards Yuki he tilted his head back and took a couple of good chugs from the gourd before bringing his head back forward and placing the gourd back on the table in front of him. He instantly felt something stir inside of him. This was old magic, but it was also a weaker type. However, he could tell instantly it was potent magic too. It was there, but it was going to take a  few to really hit him. This knowledge brought a smirk to his face as he slid the gourd back to Yuki, hoping she would join him in this attempt to enjoy the night.

One way or another this was going to get interesting.

As Daniel adjusted to the seat at Yuki's table, and then he snorted again as Yuki told Wolfe about the drink she had. "Well apparently, since this is impossible for something and someones something or other," Daniel paused, realizing but not caring he didn't make any sense what-so-ever, he stopped that train of thought and said, "Forget what I just said." Then he nodded at Yuki when she said her name was Yuki, and did the same for Wolfe. He then made a face and held up a hand and said to Wolfe, "Don't you think it would be polite to maintain your composure without being intoxicated? Slightly... impaired is one thing, but totally wasted is another." He paused. "We are talking about those consequenses, aren't we?" he asked just to clarify.

Leaning forward in his chair, he studied both Wolfe and Yuki, and making sure his voice didn't betray his gut feeling about either one of these two, he said, "Well, it has been a meeting you. Although I would like to see how this... demonstration turns out, hmm?" He said, not a question, but an amused statement. He stayed sitting, and continued his visual investigation of these two, and still had the feeling something was wrong. Putting his hands under the table, folded, and he still was leaned forward, he generated a small electric ball, barely the size of a marble. Trying to relieve his anxiety he fiddled with it, even though his hands stayed folded. "Have any of you wondered how conductive alcohol is?" he asked with a mischevious look on his face.
