R ose Garden... the magical jewel of Fiore. The place where a mage could walk into, feel completely at home, as well as be completely invisible. That is, unless they were one of those stupid powerful ones that decide to poke their head up ever so often... Walking into the city during the day, Miyuki and Kaede had only absorbed half the spectacle. They saw various floating fixtures, wizards displaying a level of magic that was both gorgeous, and terrible at the same time. Miyuki, the older but shorter of the two, had stopped to watch a man causing small particles of metal to come together and move about. The man himself was shirtless, with only medical bandages covering his torso and a gratuitous amount of scars on his upper chest, but when she saw him pick up a child, he seemed far more gentle than he looked. The metal creation was used to let the kids ride on and changed forms. Kaede wasn't particularly enthralled with the show, as he viewed it as a waste of potential. Miyuki saw the lack of amusement coming from her brother and took him by the hand, knowing a place where he would be far more engaged. Miyuki lead Kaede to a park she'd saw on a map where the two of them sat on a bench, watching the children play, both remembering when they were that young. While many times the memories were horrible for their age, the two did have a moment here and there where life wasn't so bad. WC: TAG |
