I will talk to the admins about it.. but mind it its highly unfair to them that their prizes are consistantly nerfed cause they are H rank. They lost out in most events cause event primary reward is exp.

My personal idea was cap the slots at S rank, but that's just me. Maybe they could scale. Staff will figure it out.

the spell slots don't scale, they remain the level you were when you got them. It is true that they do not take up spell slots but that could be changed, and as for H ranks having more than one H rank spell, well H rank spells cost a lot of Magic power to cast so H ranks having multiple H rank spells isn't exactly broken.

no, not broken. I never said it was. This is not the issue, the issue I had, was if a lower rank got to H-rank, the spell slot they earned would be near worthless. heck "most" D/C-rank spells at H-rank are near worthless.

I suppose that depends on how you make them, cause if you make them right they wont be worthless at all, and considering that you get to cast them for free at H rank it's not as bad as you believe it is. Also note that there will be opportunities to get better spells in the future anyway.

From my understanding, and from what an admin said I believe, the spell slots are given at your highest rank and they do not scale.

I admit this is dissapointing somewhat as it means that a H rank who got it will be an uber powerhouse compared to say a C rank who got it.

It might be worth making them function like sig spells and have them scale up to S. Though let H ranks just have the H rank slots. That would at least be fairer somewhat.

Also I disagree that D rank and C rank slots are useless when you hit higher ranks. They can be very useful if used correctly. This is especially true now that the difference in damage between ranks isn't as high.

Plus, for me, its just another component of a spell fusion.

Everyone's talking as though they're going to get H-rank anytime within even the next few months, or even the next year potentially.

The raffle event is now.   H-rank is much much much much later.  There will be many many more events by the time most would come close to H.   Many more opportunities to win things.

This event is occurring now in this present.    In the future, there could be much more to come.


So really,   it's nothing to get in a fuss over.   Perhaps if you're within 1 jobs worth of XP from your next rank, or within an exam (Which I believe is already the case),  you could save the slot for your next rank.     Beyond that I think it's getting way too nitpicky over a simple raffle prize.

That argument works effectively Eris, but there is the chance that current H ranks will get the slot this time and next time as well. Then again its also possible someone who gets to H could get enough slots that they actually end up having more H rank slots. So I suppose it balances out.

I'm actually a big fan of the raffle idea as everyone has a chance to get the big prize rather than only those who donate.

After talking with a min the slots will NOT be H rank and will not scale! They are the rank you got them and they stay that rank, if you are mid exam(Proof will need to be provided) I suppose we can bump the rank to the examed rank. But please know you will have to be in the exam before the drawing was done!

So what an S-rank player gets a user appropriate spell higher than an A-rank player,  or a B-rank player.  But the H doesn't get anything special as they would?   *sigh*

The D-A rank players aren't about to get an S-rank spell slot either,  it's no difference there. 

If there are any forced rules introduced now after the fact after having already given them out,  it would be a grand idea to not make it such a loss and huge disappointment.    They could at least be Signature spells as an option or something.  

I hate to complain,  but it is too huge a disappointment to come back to this news and not say something.

H-rank spells really aren't special if made in line with the rules.   They just get away with a lot.   But by the rules,  by the guidelines set for them,  they really are not so amazing.  They're just normal spells,  a next rank after S.    

Perhaps it would be recommendable to introduce SS rank spells,  which are the H-rank spells as-given in the rules,  while "H-rank" spells are the over exaggerated effects typically seen.

Although I wouldn't mind the extra spell slots being H rank, I do admit that it's a little bit excessive. I would say they should be maxed out at S rank, since H rank spells have enormous potential to turn the tide of battle, but the restricting factor is a person only has one of them. Having more than one, on the other hand, brings out an advantage that is unmatched by any other.

I wouldn't mind them being H rank, but I think S rank seems to be a lot less drastic, since we're already allowed to have five.

Again,  H-rank spells are just normal spells.  The only reason they are seen as being otherwise is because people get away with basically flat out ignoring the guidelines for them and creating great effects clearly out of the scope you would imagine going off the guidelines themselves,  in which a single S-rank spell can be more damaging without even having outside buffs.   Spells can by default naturally do around 50% additional damage than the guidelines offer,  if given reason to do so.    It only takes 40% to meet the default H-rank value.

I'm not saying the that the guidelines need to be enforced with H-rank spells,   having that ultimate freedom when it comes to the creation of H-rank spells is one of the better things on the site.

But the guidelines are still there,  and not every spell has to ignore them.     Which sort of comes back to the idea of perhaps replacing the H-rank guidelines with SS-rank spells,   and H-rank spells remain as the relatively unregulated and unique abilities that they are.   Perhaps even replacing the H-rank spell slots mythics give for some reason to be SS as well.

People are already able to get that additional H-rank spell slot by paying for it,  through the Mythic items.   If it's so terrible for H-rank slots to be given out I don't see why holding a sword would give you a whole third magic including said H slot.  (Or fourth, counting tertiary).

Thing is, there are 0 guidelines for H rank spells, or a lot of spells for a matter of a fact; all people are given to work with is basic damages that said spells can produce. And while H rank damage isn't exactly too high in comparison to the broad scope, their effects are another topic. They can do a lot, a lot more than any other spell can. They are not just "normal" spells, else they wouldn't require an admin to look over and approve them in order to be considered appropriate, at least I don't know whether or not that's an actual enforced rule anymore. Regardless, if I had a spell that was S rank and a spell that was H rank, the effects for them would be a broad gap, and that's not because the damage is slightly higher, it's because the uses of it could be expanded since it's the highest pinnacle of power. A D rank is a weak spell, C rank is slightly stronger, B and A ranks are normal spells, S rank is a strong spell, and H rank is the strongest. It's not just normal. In a technical term it is, but the capabilities are beyond that.

That being said, I stated earlier that I didn't mind them being H rank. I never said it shouldn't be allowed, it was my suggestion. Plus the H rank that I am getting for my Mythic was paid for as an event reward for a million jewels, which was generally the price of previous Mythic weapons if converted to Cosmic Coins. It's a difference from it being "given out", I negotiated to buy it straight up. Plus it's just one extra H rank; even though no one got this, the Raffle had the potential to give someone 10 extra H rank spells, which would total up to 11. That's the maximum amount of D ranks allowed for an H rank. 11 spells that do the most damage, have the largest effects, areas, most uses, etc. on the site. Again, no one got that, thankfully, but it is a possibility.

I could get an extra H rank from this Raffle, and I'll take it, but I still do think it would be a tad bit more fair for S rank.

Or we could go with the SS rank spell idea, which I quite like as well.

The spells slots are S rank, Debating it will not change the answer.

This was a great event thing anyway (Nice to see things fun things given out / won rather than paid for with real money),  just somewhat soured by getting things picked apart after the fact.

I wouldn't say they were picked apart. I don't there were any major promises as to what rank these spells would be. Just that they were spells that didn't take up your regular slots

1 thing I would like to suggest:
Of the H Ranks that received free spell slots of their rank, if they were to receive it:
They receive 1 (and only 1) H Rank spell
While the rest can be converted to Jewels if they so desired. Otherwise, they would cap out at S Rank spells.

I think that for this raffle the spell slots well remain capped at S rank just because we've already changed so much for them in the case of H ranks. So there wont be any changes for this raffle but we may consider your suggestion for the next raffle. That being said don't expect another raffle to come up any time soon, though we may do it again in the future I don't think we want to get blamed for handing out too much free stuff on such a short timespan. We thank you for your patience and hope you understand that mistakes were made for stuff we didn't anticipate and will be looking to better plan for these issues in the future.

so when will the rest be posted up ect...?
