Special Characteristics: His skin is entirely unblemished, free from scars, and devoid of tattoos. He likes to keep it that way. After that unfortunate incident where two thirds of his body was burned to a crisp, he prefers his skin to be like a blank canvas.

Personality:

On the surface, Michael is a very cheerful and lighthearted kind of guy! He's very happy go lucky and wakes up each morning with a bright smile on his face.

Though on a deeper level is a malevolent spirit. He's very comfortable when he's in control and tends to use euphemisms to put a "positive spin" on things that other people would find twisted and abhorrent. For his version of "decorating" will leave others gagging in disgust if they manage to get away.

Michael is friendly, polite, and sociable to everyone he meets. Though at times, he can be passive aggressive, especially if they disagree with him.

Michael wants to feel like he belongs. After all, he doesn't even know how old he is. Since he doesn't know where he belongs time wise, he tries to anchor himself and give himself meaning in other ways. Like joining a guild! They can give him real sense of purpose! Thus, whichever guild he joins will earn his undying loyalty!

Occasionally, Michael will reveal how troubled he actually is underneath that cheerful demeanor. Not knowing who he is (Michael is just a name he made up as he'd forgotten his real one), and unable to put any meaning to the terrifying memories that haunt him in his dreams, Michael is left shaken by the enigma that is himself, and keeps up a cheerful demeanor as a way to help him cope.

Outside of work, he likes traveling, being outdoors, and researching arcane magic, even illegal magic. Michael has an obsessive desire for knowledge and pursues any topic that catches his interest with an insane drive. He's a bit like a mad scientist, his room is partially outfitted for such a purpose. He rarely sleeps at all and sometimes refuses to eat or do anything else when he's researching something. Sometimes his experiments can get quite gruesome, though Michael already has a disturbed disposition so it isn't anything new.

He can be very ambitious and persistent. Michael can take years if it means getting what he wants. He is after all, nearly immortal.

He typically likes to avoid fights, preferring to sort things out with pleasant conversations and a hug, but if it comes to it, if people really don't see any other way. Then he will get violent. And Michael is very comfortable with violence. tearing off his opponent's limbs and smiling as their blood soaks into his clothes! He's a little embarrassed to admit it, but there's a side of him then enjoys fighting, and of course winning. The only defeat he'll willingly accept is death, and he expects to make it impossible for his opponents to achieve that end.

To be clear, he's only loyal to his guild. If the guild master fails to perform well or Michael disagrees with him, then he doesn't mind ignoring him and doing whatever he wants! He's otherwise very independent and often prefers to do things such as jobs on his own.

He's more than willing to pull scams on people for jewels. Lately he's been "exorcising" the populace, though he really just releases his magical influence over his victims once he's been paid for his "troubles".

Currently he's looking to join a dark guild, because he's curious about magic that's considered illegal, and also so he can practice his own magic without being restricted by legal obligations.

Likes:

• his research! Michael fits the stereotype of a mad scientist like a glove! He has an obsessive curiosity, ravenous for discovery and knowledge.
  

• nature! He loves to be outdoors amongst all the plant and animal life!
  

• smiling! and smiling...and smiling! Michael loves to smile! Everyone should love to smile! Smiling requires less muscles than frowning, and it's the best expression of joy! He loves to show off with a toothy grin, his teeth filed down to points to make his smile more unique! He especially loves it when others smile! Even if he has to force them!
  

• spicy curry! Curry is and has always been his favorite dish, and the hotter, the better!
  

• blood! All life is made of cells and blood has nice, rich color!
  

• decorating! He loves to decorate his home, and even temporary residences if he's away for a couple of months and gets homesick. One thing that's common when it comes to decorating is how open he is to outside help. In fact he requires it. After all, he can't decorate with some help from others. Because who else will provide him with his "materials"?!
  

Dislikes:

• Being unhappy-most people have a healthy variety of emotions. Michael has only two, happiness :D , and unhappiness. Naturally he strives remain his usual cheerful self. Of course, if someone else is making him unhappy, well, misery loves company. And they make him unhappy, then he'll return the favor. Ten Fold.
  

• nicknames-his name is "Michael", and he does prefer that others call him by that name. Calling him "Mike" or "Mikey" will inevitably make him very unhappy. Perhaps it's due to how casual it is, as if the speaker was close enough to him to call him by a nickname, when they aren't. No one is.
  

• people disagreeing with him-Michael really wishes people would just get along and see things from his point of view. It leaves him unhappy when people's opinions don't match his own.
  

• sadness-Not that he's ever sad! It's when other people are sad and brooding that he tends to keep his distance from them. After all, he only likes pleasant, joyous company!
  

• the power of friendship-Michael can remember very clearly showing up at a court hearing, and knowing the man opposing him having one very unreliable witness. He couldn't stop smiling through it all! The court would rule in his favor! Then, about halfway through the hearing, when the half sober witness was barely able to voice his testimony, another man suddenly showed up. Not another man, a small group of about 2 or 3 people. He remembers quite clearly as the first man, the one who had filed against him, approached the interloper and had asked him why he was here. Wasn't he out on a job? One that he'd been excited to pursue? If I had, the other man had said, then how could I be here to testify for you? The sentiment was the same for everyone else who had entered the room. Apparently they too had witnessed the incident and had come to testify too. All through the court hearing, Michael smiled less and less, and when the hearing was eventually ruled in favor of the other man, he couldn't smile for a week. Since then, nothing makes unhappy more than the power of friendship.
  

Motivations:

• jewels! Making a profit keeps you from being poor and hungry! So earning jewels is a top priority!
  

• knowledge! Michael loves to learn new things through research and various experiments!
  

• loyalty! Michael expects to serve whichever guild takes him with the utmost loyalty. Because he doubts they'd let him stay.
  

Fears:

• dragons, they breath fire and eat people. They're vicious carnivores and wiping them out was the best thing our ancestors did for us!
  

• failure, Michael always likes to finish the things he starts successfully. The occasional mistake here and there is ok...after all, people learn from their mistakes! But failing a task is an entirely different matter all together. One that warrants an unhappy reaction. And he absolutely hates being unhappy.
  

• fire-despite not knowing his age, he does remember quite clearly that he has been burned. he remembers all too clearly the feeling as flames licked up his backside, can remember looking down at his legs only to see blackened stumps, bone clearly exposed. Naturally the only fire he's comfortable around is in a fireplace.

Appearance: Michael resembles a twelve year old boy, despite being years older. Michael has very tan skin, a thin, gangly appearance, bright yellow eyes, and a wide, gaping, smile. He has a soft, gentle voice. Michael typically wears shirts with colorful prints, Hawaiian style, vests, a bowtie, and khakis! Whatever he wears however, expect it and portions of his skin, to be soaked in blood! He loves the feel and rich color that blood gives him! All those tiny cells...A symbolic display of his magic! Often he wishes others wore bloodier clothing, not that he wants to start a fashion statement or anything, he simply likes the way it looks.
