Story:After arriving at the scene and hearing the enchanting melodic melody that seemed to seep through the town summoning the monster the times has arrived. However the monster is not the only one to arrive at the scene. Looters, her brother, and another person sent from the master also arrived.

Percival: This is a big giant fish man that thrives within the water. He leaves water traces where he walks and at his point in time is near his sister however Ibara(Blood Plus) has called for his attention. Your job is to drive Percival away, he will also retreat the moment that the monster in Sea Monster thread is defeated.

    Info

    Location: Hargeon

Rising Tides Member: Percival | The Son of Poseidon

    Member list: (members)

Aiyana, Mao, IQ, Sasha, Ibara, Mina, Fred, That Adopted Kid, Saria, Yato, Tenchi
This is also the posting order.

    - Posting Order

Starting with a Rising Tides member the posting order will be established in the first posting round. Which mostly will be consisting out of introduction posts. Like why you are here, and what you are currently doing. After the first posting round which will end on the first of augusts, we handle a 24 time span to post when it is your turn. If you haven't posted in that time your turn will be skipped and can no longer participate in the event. Also you will receive no warning if you are the first person to post but if you are the person right after the person to have their post skipped you will receive a warning to post. This will be followed strictly to keep the event in motion thank you all~

    - Rising Tides members

The main villains that are regulated by the staff. They are here to regulate the event, and make sure to create situations for the members to deal with. This is being done through further NPC characters, the hired dark mages or simply causing a situation that has to be dealt with. Keep in mind, that a staff/NPC can't handle everything and everyone at once so please don't flood him in the first round. Give him room to rp, and engage you guys as well.

    - OOC & IC

There will be of course the opportunity to fight with the Rising Tides member, but also remember the people that are also living in the town that could and will possibly be hurt if ignored.
If there is a problem Contact Shuhei

In an addition to the OOC & IC thing, keep anything like grudges or other OOC troubles out of this. Just try to have fun.

    - Fighting

When in a battle just follow the current rules we have. But keep it fair, don't dodge everything, don't hit everything. Don't be that guy who is above the roleplaying, just take a punch or two. And again communication is key. Also remember the rank of the NPC and the power of the spells that each one will use. If any of the Rising Tides members find God Modding it will be reported.

    - Guild Spells
The guild spells aren't prohibited during this event, however when an Ace or Guild master decides to use one, check in with the Rising Tides member and staff first. As the spells can be a big game changer or even a finishing move. And it would be a shame if one was being used mid event, and concluded everything for everyone.

The Event will initiate the moment that the Rising Tides member posts.

As the collective of mages and warriors arrived and the song began to fade, a heavy and over whelming power would begin to rise. At first it would be nothing more than a tickle, a slight teasing at the edge of the senses. But as the wizards gather waited and watched the tickle would turn to an itch, the itch to a burn, the burn into a thundering presence. Across the city they would feel it, the coming of something powerful indeed. Out in the bay sailors and fishermen on their boats would turn to each other in confusion and fear, quickly moving to turn their boats back towards shore. Citizens across the city, beings who normally felt no magic, felt this coming presence. Wizards, both high and low, would likely stop and turn towards the sea as the massive amount of magic rushed towards them. Something on an entirely new scale from them was coming, and fast.

Out in the sea all was calm. The wind did not blow, the sea did not stir. Not even a seagull could be seen upon the water. Then came the disturbance. It started as a ripple, a fast moving rush in the water, small and insignificant, but constant. Oh but it grew, widening at first, spanning an ever growing amount of surface. But then it grew upwards as it neared the land, and those on shore would begin to see it, though it was still far out. A mass of black under the water, moving at an impossible speed, the mound of black growing rapidly out of the water. As it grew features would become prominent upon it. A slope down. Ridges. Fins. Eyes. A creature had come to Hargeon, and as it neared the shore it only grew, taller and taller, broader and broader, bigger than anything that had ever before come to Fiore. The citizenry would stand in awe, dumbfounded. The fishermen and sailors would stop their work and stare in horror as this thing rushed towards them. And as it neared and grew, so to would its magical presence, dwarfing that of even the mighty gods of Ishval who had gathered. A neck now appeared, with already over a hundred feet of head. Shoulders rose from the water, hundreds of feet across of shining, black shell. Arms and tentacles next. A shining black skin, plates of shell, ridges of spines and fins. It plowed into the bay like a storm, its sheer size sending mighty waves crashing out to topple boats and swamp the docks. It rose from the water once in the bay, towering well above any gathered. The cities mightiest arcs and tallest towers seemed as but toys to this behemoth, and yet it continued to rise. Water cascaded from it like great waterfalls, and massive, hundred foot wide tentacles began writhing in the water.

Finally would it stop rising, towering above all, well over a mile, nearly two miles. The sky seemed to darken and not a sound could be heard at the arrival of such a being. Then it spoke. A voice more felt than heard, which echoed from the city and shook the towers, a mighty and booming voice, like that of a god.

"Rejoice! Children of men! Your new deity has come, to claim your sacrifice." said the voice, a voice which would boom and echo in the very minds of those gathered. As it spoke the creature would raise its arms slowly, clouds beginning to swirl in the sky and sea beginning to recede as the monster did so. "By your end shall my glory be remembered. Humanity has sat for too long upon the food chain. This day shall it fall from its lofty perch!" The beast bellowed menacingly, as even more of the sea would draw back, forming into a swell around the beast and spiraling around its body, rising up like a mighty wave and shield. "Let the world shake and the cries of the children be heard! I am your god! And this day I declare as the beginning of the apocalypse!" he would bellow once more before the water which had been swirling around him would stop swirling and suddenly rush forward, towards the city.

Sailors and fishermen who had escaped the arrival of the titan were swept away as the wave crashed forward. The docks were shattered. Stone buildings and towers crumbled as the wave smashed into it and water raced down the streets and alley ways, a hundred feet tall and with the force of a gods will behind it. Citizens were smashed aside in droves and entire buildings were swept away. No doubt the panic would have set in by now, but what good would flight and panic do now?

Gargalrax had come. His will would be done.

The beast came as inevitably as the flooding tide, that this time would not recede back in to the ocean.  The Fishman, Percival raised his arms towards the sky and cheered as his master rose from the ocean floor and towards the heavens.  "So it begins, Dirt walkers! Brace yourselves for the unending flood that will drown this land and all of its inhabitants!"  He would shout for all those near him to hear.  The ocean took the shore and swept through the streets of Hargeon like a blanket.  The fishman threw his palms forward towards the sea, and pulled his arms back, drawing the ocean towards and around him.  The water that flooded the streets would not recede in his presence.  Civilians screamed as they struggled to swim in the current, while others clung to floating debris as the water level rose steadily until three stories of water flooded this portion of the town.  Those who took shelter indoors were forced to the higher floors, while some found themselves trapped, and steadily loosing breath.

Percival laughed maniacally.  "Ignorant dirt walkers.  You've lived your lives not knowing the horrors beyond your shore, in depths of the Sea, that you so lightly took for granted!  You will learn to respect it, before it tears you limb from limb.  Behold, Abyss!"  Percival raised his hand in to the air as a dark hazy mist formed and took shape in his palm, and in his palm formed a Trident with an ominous glow, that appeared faded as if looking at something under water.  The Fishman slowly swept his Trident in front of him, as the color of the water became black as night.  "Creatures of the Abyss, the Light cannot reach you here!  Come to me!"

for a time, the water remained silent.  Except for the screams of terror from the citizens who struggled to remain on the surface.  An ominous bubbling boiled around an unsuspecting bystander, floating by on a piece of debris, and all of the sudden was dragged down from the surface releasing an unfinished scream behind.  Many civilians throughout the area were suffering a similar fate, as the unknown creatures infested the area, and screams of terror filled the atmosphere.  In the shadow of Gargalax, the most terrifying of the servants, Percival has brought the Abyss to the surface.  "Behold, my power! The power of the unknown!" Thrusting his trident in to the air, massive tentacles rose from the black water throughout the town and began to constrict around buildings, crumbling them away to remove all forms of higher ground, and also began to grab civilians from roof tops only to drop them in to the black water to be snatched by the unknown creatures.

    Goals:

    • Defeat Percival:  Defeating Percival will allow the water to recede, and end the torment brought upon the civilians by him.
    • Protect the High Ground:  The only safety for civilians is high ground!  The tentacles are steadily chipping away at the buildings that provide it, and they're also the only danger to civilians who are on the roof tops.
    • Defeat the Unknown:  There is a variety of grotesque sea creatures lurking in the Black Water... The Unknown are invisible outside of five feet, and the water is extremely dark so it will be difficult to find your way if you chose to swim.  All forms of Light Magic is weakened by 75% in the Black Water.  There are still drowning civilians in the water as well as trapped in the lower levels of each structure, so they must be saved from the Unknown!

Aiyana wanted to react in surprise to the sudden appearance of the tall woman petting her and her mate from behind, but the party began to start before she could say anything of note. The ocean gave way to a massive creature that introduced itself with the same voice seemed to shake the very earth they stood upon as it did so. A beast that claimed itself to be a god, here for their sacrifice, and then released a massive flood that knocked a good portion of the town and washed groups of people away that had refused to leave the place. ”These poor people, it's too late for them but we can try to save the others!” Her words had been meant for all those around to hear her as she squeezed Mao's hand before looking in the direction of another voice that spoke, one that spoke of them as dirt walkers and destroying them before turning the water black as tentacles and creatures began to attack foundations of buildings and people.

She turned her head to Mao, her hand releasing from her before she went over what she had planned. ”I'm going to deal with this...person. You go and do what you can to help out the people and protect them. Grab whoever else is able to help you and try to keep everyone at least paired up for their safety.” That said, Aiyana turned to look up at the girl that was petting her head. She seemed capable of herself in a fight, so the Celestial Spirit spoke up to her while she remained being pet.

”So you like to pet animals? I'll let you pet me for a while if you help me deal with the fish man if he attacks.” Aiyana did not wait for a response, and instead made her way to the dry rooftops, reassuring people as she went by them, to make it within distance to be heard by the person.

Eloquent speech was what one would normally want here, but she wasn't sure if the man was going to even give her the time of day; and instead attack her. ”Why do something like this? What have these people done to you? What need is there for violence when words can be used to solve everything? I won't let you hurt these people, even if it means stopping you myself, but it's not too late to stand down and turn yourself in. Everyone can have a second chance, even you.” A hand would reach out to point at him, her eyes pleading with a silent look that read as 'please stop.'

She really did not want to have to fight if she had too, not with a magic that she had yet to really put through combat yet; just training. Not that that would stop her, however. Mao was here, as was her original guild she had joined as a lowly D rank mage. Nothing would get between her and stopping these terrible events in their tracks!

As a hand came down and started patting her head mysteriously Mao suffered a condition she rarely revealed to other people….well not so much condition as ability: purring. The rumble started small and built up alongside a blush, a little embarrassed because it was a bit improper for her to do – or so it felt. Part of it probably stemmed from how inappropriate it felt as the oversized squid monster from the depths of sea-hell rose from the water, proclaiming its superiority before attempting to drown them all in one fell swoop that lost some power even as it took with it many fisherman and their vessels. Water continued to pour in copious amounts as the tide rose courtesy of a certain, slippery and slimy fellow…and his little nipple pasties too.

The Sabertooth mage mentally applauded her mate’s desire, but worried all the same for the vixen spirit. As power continued to swirl in the air in almost an oppressive manner she couldn’t help wondering how much of it belonged to that man and if she’d be all right, forgetting Aiyanna’s immortality in her new body. Regardless of her dislike for the other finding harm she bit her lip, peering around at the panicking people as they sought higher ground from the water rising around their ankles as they spoke. ”Very well,” she agreed, racing in the other direction, kicking up water alongside the oversized canine, Nocshanks.

Looking back for a moment to watch as the other two scaled the buildings quickly, she couldn’t help thinking she spied another familiar visage, ’Ibara?’ At this distance she couldn’t be sure however, knowing that her guild mates came to help, but they hadn’t come as a group either.

”Nocshanks, try to help some people out of town before the water becomes too unbearable. Save whoever you can as fast as you can and then meet me on the rooftops. While we may not save everyone…every life still matters. They still have a right to live, regardless of his will.” Her hand shot out to grab a passing door keeping two children aloft, their wailing dying down into hysterical whimpering as she reeled them in and placed the pair atop his back. A small smile was offered in what little comfort she could provide, ”Fear not…I’ll see to it that he gets you two out of here. All I need is for you two to hold onto his mane tightly, okay?” Unable to speak they nodded, their eyes wide as their hands as the younger boy grabbed fistfuls, the older sister securing an arm around her little brother and her hand shook with the force she put into holding onto Nocshanks. No doubt the beast would lose some hair this day, but it was a small sacrifice to make as his worried, golden eyes turned to her.

”What about you? She warned to work in pairs…”

His low whisper struck her, Mao hiding the wince from the children, ”I know…but if we’re to all come out of this alive we’ll need to work together. Fear not…I’ll find someone as soon as possible who needs someone to watch their back and can do so in turn.” Patting his cheek she nodded, sending him off without awaiting further argument. With a low growl he swung his head back forward and charged through the ever rising tide, zig-zagging as best he could to nab other floaters and haul them inland.

Mao couldn’t stay down here much longer as it continued up her body and the current started trying to push her about. Making it into an alleyway she scaled the building with the water chasing her all the while, flinging the water from her large, soaked tail once she arrived at the top. Staring down into that black abyss of sea water Mao shuddered, ’I’m not sure even my brightest crystals could penetrate that…’ A few buildings away something rose up out of the water, catching her attention as it slammed down onto the roof, a few people falling with horrific screams ending abruptly as they hit the water, other’s managing to avoid it and dash over to another building with a frantic leap. There were no “true” safe havens here, the woman gritting her teeth as she charged towards the continued onslaught. She’d either find a partner on the way or after dealing with one out of who-knew-how-many tentacles.

As a water strewn hell began to overtake Hargeon Town bringing with it a plethora of beasts both great and small, bent on destroying the townsfolk and turning their homes into nothing more then another patch of desolate ocean. Ni-Ju Hachi, current guild master of Lamia Scale, was busy working intently on seeing that as many lives were saved as were within his power to help. With the Town Square safely evacuated he had begun to make shallow passes over the Town's busiest thoroughfares using the help of his large winged companion to his advantage in searching out those that had become stragglers, caught in what would very soon be a full on magical war zone. After a very short time of this, the young mage had came to realize that this method wasn't anywhere near fast enough, given the sheer amount of folks that had not evacuated, and had come up with a rather ingenious idea using an item that he had found long ago in his travels.

The scale mesh pack that Ni-Ju carried on his back as a matter of course had once belonged to the legendary wizard known as Merlin and it possessed the rather envious ability to hold vast amounts of whatever could possibly be carried within it's magical confines without adding any additional weight for the person who carried it. For Ni-Ju, this normally meant that he was able to carry around an assortment of useful items to help out with everyday tasks and to make missions or jobs that would take quite a while somewhat easier due to not having to worry about trucking around wagon loads of supplies. But in this particular situation, the pack was far more invaluable then he would have ever thought possible. By making quick landings and ushering folks inside, he was able to carry away large loads of up to one hundred townsfolk at a time to safety without any help from others.

It seemed that there was no end to the number of people in need of saving though as even after he had completed near to ten loads, the city was still filled with a significant number of those in distress. Wiping the sweat from his brow, Ni-Ju kept at it doggedly at it. This town was under his protection and it's people were his responsibility. Sparing a thought for those that had attacked his fair town, he couldn't help but utter a curse upon their very existence. As soon as the areas closest to the water were made clear of townsfolk, he would return to send the pieces of them that remained on an express trip to hell.

Sasha sighed a little as the girl looked at the fishy being. He didn't really seem to have noticed at first of what she did, but more or less hadn't really cared none otherwise. She slipped off without really thinking too much on it at first until she had heard the sudden screaming of people in the distance. Normally, she felt compelled to jump into it, but in a sluggish fashion the red head had wandered her way over to a rather amazing few... Foooor all of a couple seconds. The sparkling blue ocean view quickly grew blacker and blacker until it was even darker than the night sky itself. But for the most part it looked a little cool as it was terrifying. It wasn't necessarily something that most people would look at and think, "This would be awesome to swim in!" But.. More so along the lines of making a postcard out of it and mailing it to her papa back on the family farm. A little update of her recent exploits out in the world since she left to pursue a life outside of her farming duties and a land that was passed down in her family for years and years.

As she sighed from the commotion of the large scaled freaky guy, the red head continued to watch from a spot not too far from him, as previously found just by him in her acts prior to his.. Well retaliation for a lack of a better understanding for the goals from which they they were actually here for. She watched as fish beings grabbed up people in the water while others fled for their lives by braver citizens and possible mages even. From her view, Sasha could see it all, as could Percival who wasn't too far away. She didn't really know how to react to the scene before her. All the madness and panic of the people, all while others in other sections of the town must have been trying to do the same things that all these other people were doing, or at least she had hoped so.

Being too far away to really to see any faces, new and old, familiar and strange, square and round, and so on. Sasha bit her lip for a moment as she debated momentarily about what she would even do about anything. Turning to look over Percival, she rubbed the back of her head before fixing her hair with her same hand and leaning against the rail now behind her and crossed her arms. "So.. Tell me about that girl I groped earlier. That friend of yours..." She paused and smirked before giving him a wink. "She got a number I can get off y'all? She seemed like just the type of woman I'd like to have some fun with." her smirk would turn into a cheeky grin and a chuckle to accompany it.

Ibara's head sagged completely against his chest as his taunt was completely ignored by Percival. His features were drawn tight against his face as Percival made sharp, loud announciations into his face almost throwing him off the building with his will alone. He glanced around only to note the erectifying beast emerge out of the water, dwarfing anything that dared to stand side-by-side with it. Many mages assembled aside him, he event recognised a few whom had recently left the guild, Mao and Aiyana included. He gave a small smirk of recognition, nothing could be better than flaunting his new talent to his former guildmates, he was determined to show them just how much he had grown in such a short space of time.

It wasn't long before Aiyana, being the most powerfully adept magician within their small group had decided to take on Percival herself while the other wizards focused on both getting civilians to safety and maintaining the wellbeing of Hargeon Town. So many occurences going on at once, the epitome of destruction setting forth upon it after deluging black water rolled through the streets, reaching, wave after wave as more and more people began to disappear without each contortion of it's liquidated form. Ibara could only stand there, horrified at the sight, his legs almost quivering at the emanation of raw magical power that dwarfed his at every possible oppurtunity he had to exert it. In fact, if it weren't for the flashing of tails that passed him by, he would've been frozen there for at least a few more minutes.

    "M-Mao?! Hey.. wait up!"

Ibara immediately gave chase to his former guildmate in order to help her. Her task wasn't remedial enough to do alone and the two were efficient wizards anyway, not to mention they'd worked on jobs together in the past, they'd make a good team when nearing the conclusive end of this battle, should it end successfully that is. In the midst of his thought, Ibara hadn't noticed the looming danger that approached Mao immediately, a rising black tidal wave approaching the building while she aimlessly charged at the tentacles that resumed position infront of her. Ibara wouldn't let her be caught so easily.

He burst off the nearby rooftop, covering countless of metres within the span of milliseconds while his hands blazed alight and he yelled "Iron Fist of the Fire Dragon!" His fists caught a light and he punched the deluging water that approached, evaporating it on contact with his hand. At least one thing was clear, the water was what it seemed to be as it was repelled at contact with the fire that now retorted against it's opposing element. However, Ibara hadn't thought about it for very long as the fire on his fists now permanently died out, counteracting an opposing element so eagerly was a rather stupid move but luckily the young dragon wouldn't have to face the consequences.

    "I've got your back, Mao."

Ibara turned to face her, the black liquid covering his fists from where he'd repelled such a monstrosity away. He hoped she would've stopped and turned to him instead of continuing her charge to the tentacles, a plan would be a good assessment to make if they were to be partners, besides, they needed one and fast if they were to get anything done.

Just when Mina thought she was going to get some kind of relief from the ending of the mysterious song more trouble started to show its face. A gigantic fish-like creature towered above the town spewing forth a wave of water spreading throughout the town sweeping away buildings and people still hanging around the port town. Just before the water reached her Mina bolted up into the air going as fast as she could, attempting to reach the top of the closest building. She barely managed to make it above the building before the wave crashed into the wooden structure shaking it apart just below her feet.

Everything seemed to just fall into chaos. Buildings crumbling, people screaming, mysterious creatures rising from the depths of the water swallowing up anything in their path. It was like nothing Mina had ever seen before. She watched as one of the tentacles reached out and pulled one of the screaming townspeople off the top of the building next to her and swiftly pulled them under the water. It was horrifying to watch the person pulled to their death and caused Mina’s body to begin to tremble at the thought of what was happening underneath the blackened water. She knew however that something had to be done and already she could see others close by jump into action to help out the remaining people.

Reaching behind her back Mina pulled out the warglaives that she had strapped to her back and snapped them onto each of her arms. She could feel the power emanating from the lightweight blades begin to fill her body. Images of previous owners filled her mind bringing forth techniques and fighting styles allowing her to master the powerful weapons. A dark shadowy aura surrounded Mina’s body as her hair slowly turned from its normal white to pitch black. Her wooden body grew to triple of her normal size as demonic wings slowly protruded from her back. She could feel every bit of the transformation as it changed her from a simple doll into a war machine. This was the power of the warglaives…the power of a demon.

Kicking off the rooftop Mina bolted for the next building. Her wings pushing her faster than she was able to before the transformation. She watched as another person was beginning to be pulled down. In one fell swoop she swept the right blade across the tentacle slicing it clean apart. A searing cry roared from the water as the tentacle flailed about spraying blood everywhere. Mina dove down and caught the screaming woman that had been let go by the severed appendage and pulled back up to the top of the building quickly placing her back on top. She didn’t even wait for the woman’s reaction to what just happened instead Mina bolt back into the fray. This indeed was going to be a long day.

    'tch'

A displeased sound escaped Frederick's mouth, as he watched yet another building crumble in front of him. Taken apart by the large slimy tentacles that ravaged through the buildings structure as if its concrete walls were build out of nothing more then thin paper.
There were some survivors though, people smart enough to jump form the roof and into the blackened water that had overtaken the streets. Yet their survival was rather short-lived, as the water held a far more gruesome fate then the tentacles alone.

One by one, those who managed to land in the water were taken away. Their pleas for help muffled, their screams ended abruptly as something swept them away. Taken into the deep, where their fate was sealed horribly.

Yet he did nothing to save them, something that one of the survivors on his roof, was making abundantly clear to him. Almost screaming hysterically, she yelled at him. Asking, or more like blaming him for what was going on.
Truth was, Frederick didn't had much sympathy for the survivor of this disaster. In fact he was more annoyed with the building that had crumbled down in front of him. As it was supposed to be his path towards the epicenter of this all. The cause, the root of all the problems around him. The large fish scaled humanoid standing on the top on one of the more taller buildings in Hargeon. Who right now was nothing more then a vague silhouette in the distance. It seems that someone else was near as well, yet who it was Frederick couldn't distinguish yet.

'So what are you going to do! How are you going to get us out of-' The womans screaming abruptly stopped as the entire building shook. Trembled on its foundation, so much even that it tossed the woman over the edge. Yet luckily for her Frederick was near enough, to grasp her by her ankle before she was entirely out of his reach. She hung there for a second or two, bungling in the air, before he would toss her back up. As if she was nothing more then some piece of crumbled paper, similar to how a writer would toss behind him.

With her now out of harms way, or better yet, with her no longer screaming continuously in his ear. Frederick could finally hear his own thoughts again, and actually think of what to do next. As most of the buildings around him had already fallen apart, and were swept away in the current of the pitch black water. He could jump, using his own magic to propel himself forwards in the off chance he got close enough to the one building that could be considered remotely in his reach. But if he did that and he'd failed, he would end up in the water. And that was something Frederick definitely wasn't planning on ending up, as he was fairly certain that there were far more dangerous creatures lurking in there.

The blasphemy off in the distance rang out with its sinister roar and boasts of godhood. Sharp normally would have shouted against it, and declared how false this god was when she knew of a real god, but alas she was too busy doing something enjoyable, petting. Sharp focused on rubbing and hitting the right spots on Aiyana and Mao's heads, sadly though both of the ones she was giving the love taps too seemed to wish to fight against this heathenistic creature, so be it Sharp would have to put pets on hold, no matter how painful it was for her, for the time being and focus on shattering this false god with all of her might. Still, she wondered what Chaoris was doing, she felt him here, but she didn't know, was he going to fight the god? Of course, he might it was false, but at the same time so many were attacking it, no he would probably kill the cowards who ran from the fight, it made sense, they deserved to die for their retreating ways.

The area was covered in water now, which brought about much screaming and destruction, but Sharp didn't care about that, these people weren't strong enough to live in the water and this battlefield then fine, let them perish, what mattered was striking down such false prophets and bringing glory to Chaoris, the god of blood. All the screams did was show that fear of such a false god only meant how weak and pathetic they were, and how this false deity was trying to twist and warp people's minds. It didn't show them the truth of the universe or any kind of enlightenment on what it meant to live in combat, all it did was kill, such a hopeless and shallow creature that didn't deserve the title of god. Those who followed it were just as shallow, they lacked any form of depth to their soul and were just here to crush and kill, not give any form of enlightenment to people, just deliver their own greed unto this earth and attempt to proclaim themselves rulers. Such false teaching would always be crushed beneath those who had real purpose and depth.

Still, Sharp didn't wish to participate in a battle against such a monster if so many were going to fight against it, to do so would be cowardly in it's own right, however, Sharp after witnessing who Aiyana was confronting, she realized what she was trying to do, fight against the single beast that was summoning the other, it's false prophet, Sharp could get behind this. Jumping up to the roof top with the fluttering of her white wings, she hid them and stood next to Aiyana, listening to her speech and just shaking her head, this wasn't going to work, he wouldn't listen to reason, but at the same time Sharp wasn't here to question methods, just to get results, if it did work then she would attack the big monster instead of this false prophet, who would then turn coward, if it didn't work, he true aim would be made. Either way, she would be prepared to draw her weapons, and begin the fight proper, if one broke out, and she was expecting for one to in fact, break out.

Saria's eyes shot around the chaotic scene that unfolded infront of her, hundreds of people needed help and there were maybe fifty mages that had come to assist the port town that was now under threat from unknown evils. Ones not part of this world at least that's what she thought from the massive being in the water. Looking to her guild master she was not sure how she could help. Saria was not the strongest of mages and to go against the beings from the sea did not seem possible. Turning her back to the sea Saria started to assist people out of the town mainly the elderly and the children. Saria did not want leave any to perish in this fight. The main square now deserted saria concentrate on the outer rims of the town uncertain where to go. If they could not hold this place was anywhere really safe for townsfolk to go? The noise of crumbling buildings and people screaming was all that filled the air. Saria had not noticed the water not until it was to late. The sudden rush Knocked her to the floor, it was only a few feet deep to start with but saria was still submerged saria half swore as she was dragged back into town. The water rose as she attempted to swim to safety but saria realised there was none but the still standing buildings. Her hand managed to grapple onto the corner of one as she passed close by and lifted herself to the safety of the roof. The moment for breath was short lived she had people on the roof and a tenticle creeping around it. Sighing softly saria grabbed her knife and jumped onto the tenticle slashing and stabbing it constantly moving after every strike attempting to make herself a hard target. Saria knew if she stopped her attack even for a minute her roof top would be gone and so would the townsfolk.

    I am the demon
    in the night

The oceans in front of the supposedly great port city of Hargeon shook and spewed forth onto the land as an enormous beast emerged from beneath the waves and proclaimed itself to be a god. The piers and buildings near the shore were crumbling and falling down all around, and the citizens were in a panic below. None of the proceedings interested Kyoden particularly, but he was not there because he wanted to be. The Magic Council, who had arrested him some weeks before, told him that he would have his sentence lowered if he agreed to help defend Hargeon from an at the time unknown threat. Well, the threat had arrived, and it was far more powerful than he had anticipated. Kyoden watched all of the chaos unfold from his vantage point on top of a lighthouse, which was extremely close to the shoreline. In fact, it was a miracle that it had not toppled over yet. The slayer was leaning against the railing at the very top of the structure and smoking one of his last cigarettes; With a blank expression on his face as he watched all of the people drowning below like little ants when you drop them into a puddle. But then, all of a sudden, another huge wave was felt hitting the lighthouse at its base. The building swayed a significant amount, and Kyoden could sense that it was going to crumble at any minute.

He nonchalantly stands up straight and takes one final puff from his almost empty cigarette. He then uses the railing as an ashtray and disposes of the tobacco product by tossing it over the edge. Looking down below, he decides on what his next move should be. He spots a large humanoid looking fish which seemed to be commanding the water to his will; Causing it to sweep further into the city, drowning more people and destroying more buildings. The water itself was black and almost parasitic looking. On top of that, there were also large tentacles that were constraining some of the buildings fortunate enough to not have been instantly destroyed by the waves. Kyoden could safely assume that there were other deadly creatures inside of this black water.

With every waking moment that Kyoden spent looking over the situation, the lighthouse he was in leaned over more and more; with every second threatening to bring down the huge building. After thinking over his options as to what he could do, Kyoden stepped over the railing, one leg at a time, and looked down to the black water directly below him. He took in a deep breath and gracefully leaped off the side of the lighthouse. As he fell, the liquid darkness below rushed to meet him with open arms, and the rest of the world blurred in his peripheral vision. Kyoden grinned and cracked a knuckle using only his thumb on the same hand. As he did this, a white shadow formed directly over his jacket on his lower back. Less than a second later, and the four huge, ten meter long tendrils, emerged from the same spot. These white, shadowy tendrils, all extended out to their full wing span as Kyoden continued to descend to the ground level. The lighthouse behind him crumbling down to the ground at the same time.

Right then, Kyoden had landed in the black water with a huge splash. His tendrils allowing him to swim around quite quickly with ho restraint. This water was dark. Darker than Kyoden had even thought it was, just from his light house vantage point. The normal person would not have been able to see their own hand waving in front of their face. But luckily, Kyoden's slayer abilities allowed him to see through the magically induced darkness. But only to a very limited extent; About twenty five meters or so. Kyoden used his tendrils to swim about with ease, looking for either something that needed to be killed or someone that needed respite from water entering their lungs. It was then that he had noticed an unmoving body floating in the water. Kyoden was close enough that he could faintly hear their heartbeat, showing that they were not dead. He swam up and attempted to retrieve their body and bring it to some high ground while he could, but something happened right as he did.

just at the edge of where he could see, he noticed something moving towards him, and fast. It was a humanoid fish looking creature; But much smaller and weaker then the one he had seen on the surface. The creature was holding a trident in both of its hands, and it sped towards Kyoden at breakneck speed with the trident pointed straight at him. Kyoden quickly maneuvered one of his tendrils to intercept the creature, and was succesful in stopping its charge by forcing it to move back slightly. However, the beast then stabbed straight into the tendril itself, forcing Kyoden to rear it back a few meters. The fish charged at him again, and Kyoden used the other tendrils to maneuver out of the way just in time. Right when the creature turned around for another attempt, Kyoden was channeling white shadows into his right hand. He launched himself forward with his tendrils naturally going behind him due to his forward momentum and managed to land a blow onto the creature's face, knocking it back a couple dozen meters. Just to make sure that he would never have to worry about the fish again, Kyoden channeled magic energy in his mouth and shot out a huge stream of white shadows towards the creature, which exploded in the water and finished him off.

After that move, the adrenaline ceased, and Kyoden realized that he was beginning to run out of air. He looked back to the woman that he was originally trying to save and quickly swam to her. Her heart was still beating, so he grabbed her by the arm and began swimming up to the surface. His tendrils came out of the water first and caught hold of an open window frame in a partially collapsed building. He hoisted himself and the woman up and climbed his way to the roof of the structure; Panting for breath the entire time. Once there, he dumped her down onto the dry wooded boards of the roof and waited to see if she would make a sound. A few minutes went by until she finally coughed up some water out of her lungs and started breathing normally. She looked up at Kyoden and asked, "Were you the one that saved me? Thank you so much! I thought that i was dead for sure!" Kyoden simply looks away back to the flooded streets and replies with, "I dont need your thanks. If it were up to me i would have just let you die." the woman just stared at him blankly as he crossed his arms and leaned next to a stone wall staring out to the giant fish that he had noticed in the beginning. "Im coming for you next." He thought to himself.

Lightly the extremities of his right appendage, his index and middle finger tapped individually against the right side of his cranium, his temple, as he took notice to the events that were taking place in the area that surrounded him, in this port town known as Hargeon, at that particular moment in the ever flowing river of time. What had obtained his attention was not the sounds of the multitudes of individuals who were  fleeing from their hometown at the request of both members of the Magic Council along with the respective guild masters of Fiore who had come to aid this port town, but the unnerving silence from non-human sources. The sound of the crashing waves which had expected from being in a town so close to the ocean had ceased along with the sound of screeching gulls. Perhaps it was a baser animalistic instinct that sent a few shivers down his spine at that moment as a foreboding sensation took hold of him. This sensation of dread which filled his entire body was the survival instinct that most individuals possessed when their lives were in immediate danger.

The tapping of his fingers slowly concluded as he decided to heed the signals and sensations which both the animals had offered along with his being. Tenchi’s dark hazel brown eyes darted across the area surrounding him and looked for what was the highest building and appeared to be one of the sturdier buildings constructed in the general area. It took a few seconds until he saw a building which stood at least at four stories. A smile crept across his face as  he found the building that would ensure his own survival. However with the current situation that was unfolding around him, he knew escaping on his own would obtain undesired attention at the moment so he needed to bring a few civilians with him. For a moment, Tenchi thought about this situation a little more within his mind and decided that taking a few individuals with him could benefit him in another way. If push came to shove, Tenchi could always use those worthless toys as shields to ensure his survival a bit longer. Maybe tie them together to use them as a raft. Or use a few a shield. There were a number of possibilities for them to be useful to him. Either way, he had to make sure to take a few of them with him to keep his mask of a hero plastered onto his persona a bit longer.

Although, before Tenchi was capable of enacting his plan which would ensure both his own survival along with keeping his false image of an ally to those around him, it had occurred. The emergence of what could be the epicenter of this magical incident and what had caused the dreaded silence of the sea with its arrival. Tenchi’s eyes witnessed as it rose higher and higher from the sea. Despite being a low ranked mage, Tenchi felt the creature’s immense magical power which seemed to overpower those that he felt from the wizard’s which had gathered on the council’s behalf. But that same smile remained plastered across his visage as he laughed for a moment. Not out of fear or to relieve any tension. The sensation of dread which he had felt for a while was now replaced with curiosity. He knew from experience that humans were the most interesting creatures to behold at any given point in time for their true ability shine when faced with obstacles such as this. There have tales throughout time which depicted humans slaying dragons, slaying demons, and even slaying gods with their power. What reactions would he see? What type of battle would he witness?

These thoughts filled his mind as his ears picked up on the booming voice which escaped the creature’s mouth speaking volumes of what its desires were for the world. Then it happened. A giant flood of water came toward the town. Reacting to this stimulus of surging ocean water, Tenchi ran toward the building which he had been eyeing for the longest and made it inside. Behind him, the water started to rise as it entered the door behind. Faster and faster, he ran up the flights of stairs barely keeping out of the way of the rising water until he made it up to the rooftop. He was a bit out of breath from the sprinting and running up the stairs and around him were other people who he had failed to notice who ran up before him when the beast first appeared. They didn’t run up the building at first to escape the water, but to see what the presence they had felt come from the water. However, their curiosity had saved them from the flooding water which had filled most of the building they were on top of and more than likely there were a few people still inside. But this was none of Tenchi’s concern at the moment for he had ensured his own survival and now had a group of people surrounding him so he could keep his mask of a hero on a bit longer.

He now bore witness to the presence of another being who seemed to be aligned with the creature who served as the as the epicenter of this incident. His dark hazel eyes watched as it moved around and sent another surge of water toward the land. Unlike the first flooding of sea water which hit this port town, the flooding created, this time, didn’t seem to recede and it even had an eerie black hue to it. Tenchi’s auricles then heard screaming from the townspeople who were in the water before they were pulled underneath. He recollect on what the creature had just stated in his grand entrance with his master and knew it must have been the creatures depicted in that speech. “So there is no longer just a threat of drowning but being consumed by those creatures of the abyss…” He stated to himself with a bit of annoyed frown. He  then noticed the secondary threat with these waters and that was the appearance of appendages which would normally be found on octopi and squids, tentacles. “And now there are tentacles… It seems like someone has been reading too many of those adult cartoons.” He chuckled at those words before he noticed the true scene unfolding around him.

The various individuals which had found themselves on the roof-top out of their own curiosity had begun to panic a bit as they witnessed the scene of people being taken to the bottom of the dark waters and never emerging along with tentacles which began to chip at the building or pluck members of the general populace off their perches and drop into the dangerous black waters below. “Hey! A wizard! You are one of those who were helping down on the streets right?! So we are saved! You can use your magic to destroy that creature right?!” A man dressed in blue overalls had noticed him among the crowd of people which consisted of about twenty people. “Hmph. So you think that I can save you from the creatures that are terrorizing this town? You are greatly mistaken. Why would I save people who couldn’t listen to the orders of both the Magic Council and The Guild Masters of Fiore?” He rebutted before he glared at them all. “I am not going to be a martyr for the greater good here, but I will advise you all of one thing or rather give you a piece of personal advice. When Life gives you all lemons… what do you do?” That same mischievous smile which had been plastered onto his face seemed to glow a bit before continued. “You get angry! Get Life’s manager and make Life take the lemons back! Make Life rue the day it tried to give Tenchi Mibu lemons! Do you know who I am? I am the guy who is going to burn your house down with the lemons! I am going to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house!”

“Wait what?” A few of the people seemed to be a bit confused as to what Tenchi had meant by that but a young adult woman with long purple hair and dressed in a white sundress seemed to understand. “Yeah! We should be angry! That damn monster ruined the only day that I had off this week.” She shouted and soon a number of them began to converse and raise their complaints to the heavens.

“I haven’t gotten a raise in five years!”

“I haven’t gotten laid in three years!”

That damn monster destroyed my apartment

“That is right! Get angry! There is still a single story of the building that is still left intact! We should use our anger to beat down these tentacles. We won’t go down without a fight!”

Citizens began to run down the stairs to the only story of the building which wasn’t submerged and began to look for random items that could be used as weapons. “This why I love humans so much!” Tenchi started to twirl on the rooftop as he was a better mood now with the fact he now had an army of random citizens that would assist him on this roof-top. Soon they returned dressed in random armor which consisted of pots and pans and it seemed like a few of them found a few weapons consisting of fishing equipment which was quite common for people to have in a fishing town. “If one of those damn tentacles come here we stab it and poke until it gives up!” Another one of the voices shouted. Things had started to get quite heated on the rooftop Tenchi was on after all it was their time to shine. It was time for the Citizens’ Pots and Pan Army to fight. The fingers of Tenchi’s right appendage went to his left side and felt on the five vials of poison that he had on his person at the moment. ‘Five… That isn’t many for this incident, but it isn’t the strength of your ability but how smartly you use it.'

    Word Count: 1712

Unique Ability: Playful Master of Poisons

It also allows Tenchi to become a potion or brew architect  which allows him to create drugs to affect his foes  which range from causing hallucinations, causing individuals  to fall asleep, and even giving an individual a sense of euphoria. The poison deals his rank in damage over five turns. The poison located in vials one through four is a crystallized variant of a neurotoxin which causes the signals in the brain to become scattered resulting in spasms or seizures. These crystals are jagged and sharp similar to a blade or a dagger in the regards they are able to pierce through flesh or cut skin. The crystals take a liquid form once mixed with the blood  and deal Tenchi’s rank in damage which is D-rank at the moment. They take 20 percent of the rank in damage over five turns. If used on non-NPC members it causes their reflexes to be shot which causes them to lose twenty-five percent of their based movement speed. When used on NPC’s it causes its normal effect rendering them useless for five turns while the damage takes effect. The poison located in vial five is a gaseous poison which causes those that inhale it to suffer from hallucinations and intense nausea. Like with the other vial, it deals 20 percent of D-rank damage over 5 turns.

At this point however the entire game would change, as Kateri attacked. The barrage she unleashed struck the gargantuan in the chest and continued pounding, pouring on more and more damage, until the stream of rounds punched out the back of the beasts chest, leaving an absolutely gaping hole in its body from this one attack. Gargalrax seemed to freeze up, its tentacles freezing and loosening their grasp, allowing the armored nun and the civillains to escape its grasp. The spirit hawk would cut through several tentacles unstopped, and every attack would strike the beast for its maximum effect as the monster stood there, seemingly stunned by what had just happened. Blood poured from the wound, flooding the very sea with black, loose tentacles falling from the wound like loosened parasites.

The tentacles began withdrawing from the shore, all across the city pulling back into the water, as Gargalrax began falling backwards, toppling like the mightiest of oaks. The beasts fall could be seen all across the city, and for a time it would seem almost too quiet, too calm, as even the giants magical signature had ceased to exist. Another massive wave of water began rushing towards the city as the beast fell, its sheer size displacing millions, if not billions, of gallons of water in a monsterous wave. But that was it. All other attacks by the monster ended.

Percival reveled in the chaos that he created. The sounds of screams and waves crashing were like music to his... fins. He stomped the butt of his trident down beside him, and placed his other hand on his waist as he watched the townsfolk struggle and panic in the surge of terror. There were words being spoken to him from behind, by a rodent of some sort. He paid no mind to them as he continued to look onward, towards his gargantuan God. The humans gathering behind him were like fleas. Tiny, annoying insects who could do nothing but jump and bite, creating a pesky itch. Annoying insects, that must be washed away and purged. It wasn't until the second rodent appeared and spoke, that Percival took notice of any individual. He turned slowly to look at the bunny suited girl who dared to speak ill of his ugly sister.

"Have some fun elsewhere." The fish man said angrily as he faced his palm towards the bunny girl, who's body felt strange suddenly, and was flung from the roof of the building by some force like gravity, and was pulled in to the sea surrounding the building and dragged to the very bottom. Ominous lights in the dark distances surrounded her and moved slowly to encircle her. There was little current, however her swim to the surface in a race for air would be a treacherous one.

Percival looked briefly at the others gathered upon the roof top with him a moment, and then grinned. "You know, I've never actually seen what a Dirt Walker's heart looks like." Slowly, Percival rotated his trident and aimed it towards the rodent fox lady when suddenly a loud crashing sound in the distance, and a terrible sick sensation in his gut prompted the Fish man to turn around and bear witness unto his God being toppled. His eyes widened beyond the capacity for human lids and he shrieked in terror, dropping his trident and slapping his hands on to his head. "GARGALAX! What happened!?" He breathed loudly and wheezed through his fangish teeth as he watched the titan fall. "No, no no no no! What will master say now!? That oaf! What the hell are we going to do now!? How could such loathsome creatures topple him!?" Percival continued to panic, pacing back and forth upon the roof top, still paying very little attention to the insignificant dirt walking rodents behind him. "He'll be angry, very angry. He'll most certainly have our heads now! Unless, yes we can still finish this! We can prove that we didn't need him! Certainly he would forgive us!" The green skinned man stopped and picked up his trident once more. "We can still cleanse these fleas for him!"

"I'll unleash the strength of the Abyss upon you, and finish what Gargalax could not!" A great surge pushed in to the town from the fall of Gargalax, that flowed between all of the buildings, generating a violent chop of waves throughout the city. Percival would wave his trident once more and suddenly, gargantuan blobs rose from the sea in to the air. The blobs lit up with veins of light that ran through them, blinking and sparkling dazzlingly like flying saucers. Long, slender, gooey tentacles protruded from the blobs and dangled in to the sea, until they flared out slowly and swayed gently, as if they were bobbing in the ocean. A careless civilian stood before one of the slow moving tentacles, that could have been avoided simply by walking away from it, however what killed the cat caused him to gently place his hand upon it, and quite suddenly the civilian shrieked in terror, as his hand melted away. The invasion of Jellies hovered slowly from building to building, wrapping their tentacles around buildings and began to melt away and absorb the civilians, and the buildings themselves.

Percival laughed as he looked unto the gathering of humans in front of him. "Now that your end has been accelerated, I shall enjoy myself a little." He smiled menacingly as he caressed his chin with his thumb and index finger. "Now, those hearts." He faced his palm towards the Rodent fox lady. "Let me see them!" He shriekd, as eight pillars of water rose from the sea around them and arced towards her in a threatening manner.

    [center]New Obstacle: Jellyfish
    Spoiler:

Picture a martian invasion. The jellyfish a spread out throughout the city, entangling buildings and melting them away almost instantly. The tentacles themselves are indestructible. Anything that comes in contact with their tendrils will melt away instantly with the exception of the octopus tentacles that are harassing civilians and mages. They hover roughly 150 feet above the roof tops and restrict movement between buildings.

    Layout of the Town:
    Blue = Water
White = High Ground / buildings
    Red = Tentacles
    Black = Jellyfish

You can only hop 1 roof top per post if you have a movement ability to help you reach the next piece of high ground. If you don't, you'll have to swim which will require a good portion of your post to RP through the rough water while dealing with the creatures of the Abyss.

If there is a red dot (A tentacle) Between you and the next building, the tentacle will have to be destroyed before you can move on.

The Jellyfish (Black) mark areas you cannot move through. Each jellyfish requires at least 2 S-Ranks worth of damage to be destroyed and the damage must be dealt to the blob part which is 150 feet in the air.

So it seemed that the man fish man was going to ignore her pleas to stop and instead flinging one person away before mentioning how he didn't know what a 'dirt walkers' heart looked like. Before any action could be taken after those words, Gargalax fell apart in the distance; presumably dead if they were lucky. The end result was a pacing, upset, man that went on about how their master would be angry with them before turning himself around and going back to his moves of taking out all humans.

Events seemed to move in the enemies favor as he summoned forth giant, flying, jellyfish that began electrocuting, and killing, while simply moving down the lanes of the street; tentacles still killing off enemies while other monsters did the same under the black water. Screams of terror went forth along the city, dropping her stomach and making her realize she would have to fight this man to stop this.

Xanthine colored eyes would look into hers and open the fight with a demand that she did no intend to accept. Though she did not know it, being a celestial spirit meant she had no heart for him to see; being a being of purely magical energy meant no physical body to destroy and tear apart.

”I'm sorry, but I can not let you do anything like this anymore. I'll stop you here and now!” With those words Aiyana would put her arms out quickly and raise them up, solid walls of frostfire raising up out of the ground to make a thirty square meter box around them, including a roof of the same stuff. The wall behind her and the petting woman would slowly raise, allowing any that might see what was going on to enter before it was too late.

”Sure, you may want to see our hearts. But to be this much of a killer means you have not one of your own!” These words would be followed by a twenty five meter radius of the ground, basically the entire enclosed section, being covered in the IcyHot Domain spell she had practiced. It made the ground impossible to have traction on, unless you were a wielder of the element; which only Aiyana was.

Rooftop covered in Ice, Aiyana charged at the man while her hands and wrists covered themselves in a sheet of frostfire, giving her that much added strength to her attacks by using the extremely hot and cold element to her punches. As she charged, the woman drew her arm back before acting as if throwing something. A spear of pure frostfire would be the result, the sharp object flying at high speed at the enemy of all ground life as they knew it.

As if the spear wasn't enough, Aiyana followed behind hit and continued at the male creature until she was in range to through her punches. A set of six would ensue, the quick attacks hopefully landing on him with some kind of success. With luck she would be able to drain enough of his magic power in the fight to keep him from using any kind of potent spell he was keeping in secret.

”Damned if I let him do any more damage to the town than he already has...” The angry words rang in her head as she focused purely on protecting the town by taking out one of the beings causing all of the trouble.

Like a blazing sight for sore eyes one of her guild mates appeared, the shout catching the tailed mage’s attention before the glow lit up her peripherals. A small, relieved smile lit up her face as she nodded, ”And I’ll have your’s.” Now she wouldn’t have to admit to going it alone for a bit as long as they all lived through this, though getting through it would be the tricky part. Whether distracted or simply biding its time – or even temporarily stunned/scared by the flash of light from Ibara’s punch – the tentacles seemed to wiggle in the air menacingly, but not strike. Not yet.

In the distance something stole the show for but a moment, the gigantic creature plummeting back into the dark depths after a barrage of attacks, defeated already. As much as Mao wanted to cheer the sounds and words wouldn’t come, not when water continued to fill the port town and people’s screams could be heard intermittently amidst the waves sloshing around them. He may have been the most intimidating of the threats, but he certainly wasn’t the last, not when the fellow in the nipple pasties a bit away continued to wield questionable creatures of the deep. Panic gripped him at the thing’s fall though, his shout audible from where the pair stood and she could just make out her mate’s form on the building – more due to the voluminous bounty of white tails more than anything with fish-face in the way.

The threats were just beginning, the tentacles almost a lesser worry as she watched one of those luminescent tendrils practically glide through a citizen, the cry of pain cut all too short as the remains tumbled down into the dark depths below. The tentacles were definitely still a threat…but she wouldn’t say they were top dog anymore, not by a long shot.

’Curse it all…and now these things are gliding about?!’ Frustration welled up inside, teeth and hands clenching as her long tail swished a little to relieve some of the energy. ”It might be time to become a chef Ibara,” she finally managed, glaring between a circling monstrosity and something out of an adult movie fantasy, ”because I think you’ll be getting a lot of practice today.” The cheesiness of the line escaped her, mind already darting about in some attempt to forge a plan. A few buildings away she could make out some impossibly tall and intimidating form, the woman almost Amazonian looking though the wings lead one to consider a demon. ’I wonder if she’s friendly…’

Something hit the water nearby, though whether a mage or townsperson Mao failed to catch…with them being surrounded and options open she wasn’t quite sure which to choose.

    ”Why not everything?”

    ”What?”

”You’re so used to the rules, poor thing…so out of touch with your heritage it brings tears to my eyes. I suppose…you still need help though. The collar they put on you continues to weigh you down so I’ll lift it for now if you maybe, just maybe let me have a little fun at some point?”

Hesitant as she was to offer up control to her ancestor – recalling the minor blank spot in her memories from the temple dive – Mao acquiesced at this time. The abilities her people stuck the woman with were great for observing and personal protection, but she needed something on a grander scale here and the gemstones didn’t particularly work well with fire magic to begin with…As something internally lightened awareness blossomed, the mage more mindful of the enemies surrounding the duet – even those she couldn’t personally see.

”Ibara…we should try to get to that building over there, see if perhaps the person in the distance won’t come over…hopefully after saving whoever fell in the water, otherwise it’ll probably be up to us to help them.” She didn’t want to leave them in the murky depths, but using her true abilities still proved daunting to the woman and yet she refused to offer Kasmeer free reign quite yet. Instead she’d settle for a small snack, a portal taking a small chunk from one of the massive jellies and leaving an odd taste in her mouth as a result, ’Might be an acquired taste…’ Rather than stay here where they were grossly surrounded Mao resorted to an odd tactic: wrapping her arms around Ibara, ”Sorry, I’m not used to this so bear with me…” Lacking any survivors on their building she held no qualms moving the pair over a space as they seemingly blinked out of existence only to reappear on building neighbor to the doll-turned-demonic entity. It’d offer them a bit more time as well as distance to take pot shots at the closer Jelly of Doom while they possibly grouped up. ’Maybe it’d taste better if he fried it a little…I wonder how the tentacles would taste if he cooked them a little…’ The thoughts came so naturally the woman didn’t even question the turn of focus towards food, the things now looking more tantalizing than fearsome.

Even as the many mages watched the mighty titan fall, even as they combated his wave, moved to battle lesser threats, to save the citizenry, to heal wounds and deal with crisis around the city, expending their magic and wounding themselves, even as they thought the world saved and the mighty beast fallen, a dark and forboding power would wash over the entire city, like a wave of hostility and terror, digging deep into the souls of all gathered. Even the mighty wizard saints, so bold in their power, even the holy clerics, the darkest of dragons, the mighty warriors, the gods of blood, the technological geniuses in their airships, all of them would feel it, deep in their souls. Gargalrax had come full, and his presence was beyond belief.

A wash of power flooded over the city, energy ad life force renewed into the behemoth that had fallen. No, not within the behemoth, but beneath it! Even as so many watched in likely awe, two massive breaks in the water would appear, miles long, hundreds if not thousands of feet wide, with jagged mountain ranges along the edges and curving, with the behemoth in the center of them. As the seemingly massive ranges of mountains, curving in nature, began to rise, and oddly close, it would dawn on those watching just what they were seeing. The closing of jaws around a punctured tongue.

The beast would continue to rise as it closed its jaws, scales the size of towers gleaming in the setting sun, water cascading from its closing jaws as if the ocean itself was emptying. It was enormous, its size defying belief. It was as if an island had come to life and risen from the sea with the sole purpose of crushing Hargeon. The beast continued to rise, its absolutely massive head and body, shaped like an ungodly large bullet, with a rounded snout and a massive, rounded body, with two massive legs attached to it. The beast would rise higher, higher, and some how even higher still into the air, mile after mile of massive body rising up high. before the massive body would begin to topple, its huge body blotting out the sun as its body plummeted down to catch itself on the land, its legs catching its weight. But the sheer impact from the legs sent out shockwaves like nothing seen before, two massive craters forming under the feet, hundreds of feet deep and wide, flattening buildings over a mile in either direction and sending people flying. But perhaps the worst part of the beast, worse than its size, worse than that sickening, other worldly feel to its magical presence, worse than the sheer awe it likely inspired in so many, was what was all along its body. Tentacles, thousands and thousands of tentacles, belching forth from massive mouths all along the beasts gigantic form, streaming down to the city in swarms of varying sizes. Some were small, no more than a few inches thick, but incredibly long with row after row of razor sharp teeth along the edges, swooping down to snatch up civillains and bury the teeth into their flesh, yanking them back up into the jaws. Others were massive, hundreds of feet across with stone colored scales across the back and massive, crushing suckers along the bottom, striking down to smash entire avenues into rubble. Even as the tentacles smashed along, the massive creature would begin moving, one gigantic leg rising as the beast slid forward, further onto land, its body rising more out of the ocean, where even more of its flesh was hidden in the waves, which were rushing in in gigantic waves to fill the space its body had left behind. Gargalrax, his true form, was coming ashore, and who could imagine the destruction he would bring.

Sasha felt compelled as she waited for the fish looking person to give her the details, that she would fiddle around with her red locks of hair. Just a single finger and her thumb would pinch onto a little piece and begin to twirl it around her index finger. She'd repeat that for a few times before he would actually look at her and his look wasn't entirely what she had come to of expected to see really. He had one of a familiar look, not so much the scaley version that she had seen of his face, but the actual facial expression. had she of been in a bunny girl outfit to begin with, she'd have felt more compelled to believe the reason behind it all, but instead she was looked down upon like the scum of the earth. Normally, that wasn't any big issue with the red head at all, being that her whole attire and magic appearance was something more well suited to fit a call girl or a playboy model than it would a professional mage from which shekinda was. She was both known, but unknown and for the most part that in itself was good enough to her. She liked to be known for her laid back personality and her outgoing drive to help others, but she did like to keep some of the more darker stuff to herself. For example, her lack of compassion for killing a person had been one of them, her groping was another that was a little harder to keep since she loved to do it in public as a tease, and lastly was the growing feeling she had in the back of her mind.

Yes, the very thoughts she had come to grow with and think upon slowly, but surely since her encounter with Gil. The rather narcissistic mage with a cold temper but a rather kind second thought towards Sasha at the very least had made her think more on him than she normally would have considered from anyone. Aside from that, there was of course her little "I.O.U" of a promise of sorts that Sasha would have to come to fulfil at any time he had felt in the choosing to do so. Of course, the favor in question would be of his choosing and when he would come to give it to her. Her mind snapped from her own personal distractions as a scale covered fin-like hand would shoot out toward her, propelling her backwards and off of the rooftop entirely. Ameythst orbs would widen as she watched herself fly incredibly far at such a fast pace, she couldn't even react in time before her descent began. Looking down, the lush blue ocean had become dark and black as night. She must have missed it or forgotten that it had happened in the time from feeling up the rather attractive vixen of a comrade of this fish guy. Looking down, she watched her imminent doom come closer and closer to her, only seconds to react before she would hit that water at such a high velocity. Her beach attire would flash away and become replaced with a blue colored bunny girl outfit and she would try to shift her body to lessen the impact of the crash. Being that this particular suit was built to defend her from water based attacks, it would lower the amount of damage she'd to nothing, or at least the bodily damage it covered.

After a second for her momentum to come to a halt and push herself up to the surface to breath, she would pop out with a gasp of air and scream in a bit of pain as she would kick gently and grasp her shoulder. "Damn it! This hurts worse than my first bull wrestlin' competition..." She would look around, trying to find somewhere she could go to and check her shoulder, sure it was only going to be a dislocated shoulder caused by the impact she made into the water but there was nothing around her for quite a bit of time. In the distance, she could see jellyfish latching themselves onto buildings and making it harder for anyone else up there to move around, or the people there for being able to keep safe if anyone was in there. Sasha would begin to make her way towards the closest building. She was in the direct center unfortunately, wondering where to begin but finally opting on a choice of the same one that she had been removed from, so to speak. With one arm and two good legs, Sasha worked her way over little by little, trying her hardest not to move her arm as much as possible. The sounds of her splashing in the black water had covered up the little bit of noise that came behind from behind her.

Three Angler men would slowly swim up behind her, masked by the black ocean water and only stalking their prey for now. As the red head would come to the building, she would find a few smashed out windows just within arms reach, grabbing it with one hand and pulling herself up as best she could, using all her strength. For someone whom did hard labor her whole life, lifting herself up with one hand wasn't a far stretch, though it wasn't anything very easy either. After a moment, she managed to get her good arm up, yelling in pain as she used her other arm to help push herself the rest of the way into the building, flipping over onto her back once she managed to crawl fully inside and panting as the pain slowly began to decrease. "Goooooooood! That's sooo painful! It's like sittin' on the Porcupine durin' laundry day. Ain't no protection then.. Ahaha." She'd laugh to herself, enjoying herself keep her company for a moment, standing up and stumbling for a moment and looking around. A Column stood just a few feet away, and with one good speedy run, she would slam her dislocated shoulder into it, forcing it back into place and fallin down to the ground again with another painful outcry. Wet footsteps made her pause and push the rest of the pain behind a biting onto the bottom of her lip, looking over to three strange fish creatures before her and the screaming of a random person whom had walked into the room from a nearby staircase to see the situation, fleeing back up and leaving Sasha alone to fight. Hopping onto her heeled feet, she would take in a deep breath and wait on them before she attacked, unsure if she would even have to.

Standing taller than even the gods as they sit on their thrones, the beast let out a bellowing howl of laughter. Several ants began running as they realized they'd bitten off far more than they could chew, but all were far too late. A massive tentacle was lifted, sweeping across the coast and toppling buildings as it smashed through them. An enormous crater was blasted open, homes and debris flying to the sky as a tentacle erupted from under Hargeon, tearing a massive gash in the town. The massive appendage was preparing to crash down to level a large section of the port city when a wave of air slashed it off, causing it to land almost perfectly back down in the hole from which it emerged. Several beams impacted Gargalrax's hide, dealing almost no damage through the thick, leathery armour that was his flesh, but it had served to annoy him rather greatly. "You insects are still alive!?" he bellowed, lifting a set of tentacles from the sea and slamming them back down, sending a non-magical tsunami towards Hargeon that would serve to level a good portion of the houses lining the shore. The wave would serve as a viable method to keep other ants from biting at him, as well as a means of reducing their numbers. A wall of smaller tentacles flew up, blocking off some of the bastard mosquito's attacks. 'Twas then, what the insects below would call a large ship would begin blasting away at Gargalrax's body, smashing minuscule burn marks into him. Out of reaction more than the minor stinging sensation, the creature let out a howl before sweeping a tentacle in its direction, sending out a blast of air that would send almost and ship, however, a competent pilot would be able to save his or her ship before it crashed. Something then began striking at Gargalrax's back, another of those damned mosquito's these... ants called Dragons. Gargalrax bent over, releasing an enormous amount of air from behind him that smelled like the inside of a dead creature if it were fermenting in its own organs for years without decaying, a smell that would repel even the most tolerant of beings.

The behemoth of a creature had nearly made landfall when a golden light began forming high in the sky, even higher up than the behemoth itself. It was known only by the mages of this world as the Etherion Cannon, a weapon the magic council had only ever utilized in dire situations. Gargalrax however hadn't known this contraption, this... spell of deathly prowess and only gave it a passing glance. His tentacles swept across the shore once more, his laughter echoing through the town as he watched the wizards flee, not knowing it wasn't him by which they feared... It would require some time for the attack to be finished, and those who remembered this spell would be wise enough to vacate the immediate area. "YES! RUN YOU VILE CREATURES! SCATTER AS I LAY CLAIM TO YOUR PUNY SETTLEMENT!" his arrogant voice would be heard as massive tentacles ripped from underneath Hargeon, tearing enormous craters that lined the streets and cut off exit routes, sending hundreds of homes into the air.

Mao's words were clear in the young dragon's fragmented head. Cooking the enemies was an alluring yet unique way to defeat them, a path that the fire mage had not yet diverted upon himself. He was determined to try. Despite his fists receding to a steaming state after contact was made with the deluging black water from beneath, Ibara pressed on as his fists regained heat once more. They erupted into flames again and the young dragon glanced forwards to the tentacles that he'd recently dispatched. To tell the truth, the flames were merely precautionary. He wasn't to abide by Mao's request, not yet. Now was not the time for semantics. Besides, as threatening as a notion as they were, they were nothing compared with what was to come.

A booming voice erupted out of the destructive visage. His words were clear in an alienated way.

    "GARLGARAX!"

Although why he made such a statement was confusing to the young dragon initially, his question would soon be answered by the eruption of water from a nearby area in which Percival had corrupted with his black substance. A miniature tsunami rose from the point of impact from where the mighty beast had already fallen. Ibara's jaw dropped and his eyes squinted. The monster was already down? What calibre were these wizards to take down such a colossal beast in such a short space of time? The thought almost made Ibara quiver if his nature weren't so survivalistic. Only the strongest survived and he was to prove that very notion not just to himself but to everyone around him too.

A foolish error to have taken the fish man so lightly, Ibara thought. He hadn't been paying attention to what such a creature had been saying shortly after the falling of his companion but Ibara assumed it was something to do with the mechnical, gargantuan yet terrifying jelly-like monsters that now loomed ahead of him and Mao. The pair stood together as they raised from the water, several of them, blocking off many of the mages within the immediate vicinity. Divide and conquer. So that was his plan.

"You reckon those things could still fry me if I fried them first?"

Ibara was tempted to wage war. A battle of electricity and fire but he had a sinking feeling of which monstrous creature would come out on stop. As undignified as a battle was between jellyfish and dragon, it was shameful to say that the jellyfish would win this round. Besides, there was nothing to inhibit a pankicking Mao as she scooped up the young dragon in her hands and whisked him away for no apparent reason.

    "H-HEY! PUT ME DOWN MAO!"

Ibara kicked like a toddler until they reached a building to the immediate left of them. A sigh of relief kicked in as he wiggled free from Mao's grasp after they had grounded. The jellyfish that was originally vertical from them had now disappeared, still facing off on the now empty building that the two had left behind. A tentacle appeared and Ibara batted it away with a flaming hand like one would dismiss a fly. Clearly the young dragon didn't appreciate being so disheartened at such a difference in power.

"I'll be making sushi in no time.. just hang on."

Ibara didn't have time to speak before a familiar eruption emerged from the black, mysterious depths below. Water sparkled in evanescence, black light refracting across the entirety of Hargeon as beams of the sun passed through the darkened droplets which slowly trickled off the destroyed building tops. A sight that the young dragon hoped he wouldn't see again. Gargalax. The behemoth of a creature had removed himself from his slumber, batting attack after attack aside. Ibara guessed that the previous attacks had only stunned him, weakened him even, but to fell such a beast in such a small amount of time was a foolish thought to make himself believe. Ibara sighed as tentacles sweeped across the remnants of what little dignity Hargeon could claim to have left. Passing debris flew over his head but his brief encounter with the tentacle hadn't alluded him to a piece of rock that now flew directly towards his partner. With little time to react, Ibara jumped forwards, arms crossed in an "X" formation over his head.

    "Sorry for this."

Ibara managed a passing smile as his body took the blow. The debris was the size of a house but divided upon contact with Ibara's body, shielding Mao from the blow with each section of the building landing on either side of her. However, the laws of physics denied the young dragon a safe landing. His body blew backwards, sparks of flames giving way from various orifices on his body. He disappeared into the black depths below.

Post by Gargalrax 22nd April 2016, 3:01 am

Gargalrax froze up, feeling something moving around inside his body, something tearing its way through. Blood flew from his mouth, covering a massive chunk of the city as his tentacles ceased wreaking havoc and tensed up. He felt something tear at his skull before making its way out into the open. Regardless of how far away the man got, Gargalrax was far from finished, and far from being defeated by meager attacks. Having a second pair of all organs, as well as a multi layer brain had made it so simply destroying his organs wouldn't be enough to put an end to it, though he couldn't shake the feeling that a portion of him was taken. "You think you're a god!? DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH MORTAL!"

A bright blue light shone, pooling inside the mouth of Gargalrax as the weight of the magic power he began using caused the air to grow heavy. The light shining through the clouds, filtering through the rain grew brighter, splitting off and forming rainbows across the field as all was getting ready to be said and done. "TASTE THE POWER OF A REAL G-" a blast of magic power slammed down on Gargalrax, slamming straight through his crown and shooting all the way down through his body. The magic power he'd welled up in his mouth released all at once, causing a magical explosion that would serve to further the damage dealt to him. The unrequited power of the Etherion Cannon slamming into the ground kicked up brine and debris from the ocean floor below. Bits of long destroyed ships, sand, molten glass and steam all shot out from the wealth of tentacles surrounding Gargalrax's legs and continued forth in a massive shockwave. All sound had ceased, not a sound was heard for a matter of moments as the dust began to settle.

The dust settled, revealing the massive beast falling slowly. Buildings seemed to explode in a massive cloud of dust, death, and blood as Gargalrax hit the floor with an enormous hole blown straight through him. The beating the self proclaimed god has given his insides has made it soft, causing the creature to reroute so much energy to repairing his damaged organs and firing a blast at the false god whom exited him that he was unable to use magic to shave some of the damage from the attack. This, combined with arrogance, and the destruction of a vast portion of Hargeon would be the legacy of Gargalrax...

Much of Hargeon was left in shambles, enormous, elongated craters scarred the city. Toppled buildings, corpses, crying mothers, fathers, children littering the streets and crevices under insurmountable piles of debris. Fires raging throughout the city, the downpour serving only to contain the flames but doing little to stop them, though with time the wood which was burning would eventually become too wet to burn. The scars left on the city itself would be capable of being repaired, the scars left on the heart of her people however would never heal...

The stone wall at his back shook over and over again as Kyoden watched the large fish looking man interact with a few mages on his personal island in the midst of the black sea. He was only across the street from Kyoden, so the slayer got ready to leap over and engage the fish as well. But before that, the large monster thrashing around in the ocean a bit away began to topple over. There was a huge chasm in his chest where its disgusting flesh used to be. This surprised Kyoden, as the beast seemed to be more powerful than the fish man that he was about to meet in the battlefield. He guessed that he was mistaken.

Once he was finally finished taking in the scene that just occurred in front of him, something else happened. Kyoden ran up to the edge of the rooftop that he was on and was getting ready to leap to the beast right before him, only for an enormous jelly like creature to appear right in front of him in the middle of his path. Kyoden slammed his foot right in front of him and skid across the ground in an attempt to stop from meeting the jellyfish with open arms. He had managed to stop right before the building's ledge and took a defensive stance while backing up slightly. This was annoying to Kyoden. The beast that he actually wanted to fight was just over the flooded street right in front of him, but this much weaker creature stood in his path. Though still, it was no pushover. Kyoden could sense the still large amount of magic power coming from the mindless creature. Before he could make a move however, three tentacles emerged from the water; one on each side of the building that he was on. He realized that there wasn't really anywhere that he could run now that he was surrounded on all sides as he slowly backed away towards the center of the rooftop while keeping a close eye on all of the sea creatures around him. The woman whom he had saved before was cowering on the ground in shock near him. Kyoden extended his arms out to the side once he was at the center of the roof and a flat circle of shadows appeared on the ground around him.

There was a moment of silence. Nothing seemed to stir for just a few seconds. After those few seconds, something reminiscent of a pin drop could be heard and everything happened at once. All three of the tentacles lashed out at Kyoden directly. He reacted quickly by retracting his extending arms and clasping his hands together, causing the flat circle of shadows around him to lift up in an instant, enclosing him in a dome of darkness. The tentacles thrashed into the dome in an attempt to crack it open. Sweat began dripping down Kyoden's body as he struggled to keep the shadows of the dome woven together. Looking down, he noticed that the woman had somehow managed to get into his dome as well. She was in great shock at the turn of events and did not move an inch, but Kyoden did not have the time to think much of her. He tried thinking of a plan as the tentacles continued beating the dome to its inevitable submission. The weight became almost completely unbearable for him when he felt the jellyfish set down on the top of the dome and wrap its tendrils around it. The while thing was about to come crumbling down when he began channeling another spell.

He placed his hands on the wall of the dome and began transferring magic power into it. It was more difficult for him to keep two spells going at once; and it showed when the dome began cracking. But if everything went according to his plan, then it shouldn't matter. Kyoden's breathing grew heavier as he pushed his body to its limit to keep the dome up just a little longer while he channeled this other spell. He felt as though he could barely move. But then, as the cracks in the shadows of the dome grew larger and larger, they began emanating a shadowy aura themselves. Soon after, the whole dome began glowing with this shadowy magic as Kyoden grinned. The dome ruptured in a huge upwards explosion that sent shadows up to the heavens. The tendrils all flew back at the sudden force and shriveled up back under the black sea, and the jellyfish creature that was directly on top of the dome flew off a distance of a couple dozen meters into a nearby building, but was still far from dead. As Kyoden took a moment of to catch his breath while the jellyfish attempted to get back into the air, he noticed that yet another huge event had happened while he was in his shadowy home.

The monster in the distance was back, and it was larger than ever before. It was a truly terrifying presence that had Kyoden in disbelief for a moment. Once he had found his bearings again, Kyoden decided what to do next. That was when the thought occurred to him that was so profoundly obvious that he felt like an idiot for not realizing it before.

"The Council would never be able to find me if I left now."

It was so obvious. There was this enourmous beast before him, people dying, mages fighting everywhere, and Hargeon being destroyed. No one would know nor care if he left then. With that thought in mind, he saw something bright blue glowing in the sky over the huge creature. It was the largest magic precense that Kyoden has sensed in a long time.

    "Etherion..."

He had heard stories of it before. The council's weapon that could destroy a nation; and there it was, looming just over his head. After contemplating his options for a moment, Kyoden decided that he would just escape from the eye of the council then, before the chaos of everything died away and he would have to go back to his cell in Era. Not to mention to get away from the blue light in the sky.

Looking over to the woman next to him, who was now looking up at him with fear in her eyes, he felt a very vague sense of sympathy. Perhaps it was because of all of the trouble that he went through to make sure that she didn't die. But he didn't want to have to worry about someone else anymore. "Here, take this." Kyoden said to her as he materialized a sword in his right hand made of solid shadows. "Id get out of here if I were you. I wouldn't want to be around when etherion fires." He said as he tossed the sword to her and she fumbled to catch it. Before any other words could be said, Kyoden turned around and dissolved into the air like a lost shadow before re-materializing on the outskirts of Hargeon, away from the chaos. Looking back, he saw a huge light shine around the entire city as the wrath of the council fire down into the beast. He sighed and turned his back to the scene as he walked away, not knowing where the wind would take him.

These land dwellers, they were useless. Incapable. His plump lips pulled up into a dark grin but they would get their just treatment, after all Gargalrax had returned to the shore. He had broken the surface with the might of the monster that they had captured and created from the sea. No longer would their master be mad at them. Their lives would be saved. His sisters, his, and the other life form that his sister had been hiding. He looked at the ocean that surrounded him and the people, the dry land dwellers that had been captured within the sea of his own. He placed one hand over his chest and lifted his head up and grinned wickedly. It would be the day he would be able to take vengeance and see the blood, the heart of the people who had left his to die.

His jelly fish were perfect, doing exactly what he had wished. They presented a problem that he knew with the sting they would be dead or close to and would eventually die if they were to stay in the water with him. But the voice of the fox woman pierced his ears, even their voices were horrid. His eyes flashed to the dweller and she could feel the ground shake below him as a giant tentacle from the monster, the god slashed around them and dug into the dry, horrid earth allowing for his water to spread. "It is you who do not have a heart. You and the rest of you dirt walkers." His lips pulled into a frown as he looked at the dirt walker with eyes of steel. "But it pains me that my only sister is too a dirt walker. Living up on the land that should be covered in my sea. But to bring her safety I shall cover the earth in my ocean and bring my sister to see that the only place to live is within the water." His eyes narrowed and the hands at his sides clenched.

However he could tell that the time was running short as he felt the power from his sister suddenly appear. She was nearby. She was back to help make sure that the rest of the plan was going according to schedule. His frown melted away into a watery smile and he smiled at the land dwellers left in the place of his being and plunged back into the water and disappearing. They had done their job. They had cleansed this town. Not possibly of all of the land dwellers like he wanted.

It was at a time where he was glad that he disappeared back into the ocean bringing his with him as a large magic power crashed into Gargalrax and took down their pet. He could hear his sisters voice echoing through the waves. They were done, they couldn't do anymore than they already had. The moment that he re-entered the ocean the water that had surrounded the land dwellers that had dared challenged dropped and spread through the streets before draining back into the bay.
