Alleria's Secondary Magic Training [Private]

It was an unusually sunny and very hot day at the Mystic tower, it was still early in the morning but the sun seemed to scorch the earth with its bright blinding lights. The people living at the nearby village complained how hot and bright the sun was today but little did they know that things were about to get more hotter. At first it looked like the sun was growing bigger and bigger, but it soon dawned to the people below that it was not the sun, but rather something bright and hot was about to crash on the town below.  All across town people were forced to look away as a flash of the purest white struck the middle of town, dead in the center of the upper ring where the huge fountain was located.  Members of the Rune Knights who had been unfortunate enough to be looking in the general direction before the light struck cried out in pain as if their eyes were on fire. While their blindness was only temporary, so was the light and as quickly as it had appeared it had vanished and as their vision returned they were greeted by a vision of a woman who was cloaked in blinding light. Yet it seemed that it had not only been in the village that was over shadowed by the Mystic Tower that such an occurrence had happened, outside of town, near the outskirts that was bordering at the forest, another similar beam of light had burst from the sky only to vanish moments later.

Alleria had been meditating in the forest surrounding the village when it happened. She would have been oblivious to the light's presence had the birds that had been resting on her shoulders and hands not flown off simultaneously, squawks of fear present in their previously sing-song chirps. Opening her eyes, it took her a few moments to get out of her meditative pose to go inspect what all the commotion was about. To say she was surprised to find a very familiar face standing amidst the smoldering crater, with violet blue hair and purple snake eyes and pale white skin that sparkled whenever hit by the sun's ray.

"Greetings my lazy apprentice." came the familiar voice.

"You have got to be kidding me."

"Is that any way to greet your teacher?" the pale woman with bluish flowing hair asked.

Alleria could not believe her eyes, it was her mentor Ilyria. She was confused, she thought her mistress had agreed to leave this plane of existence alone but her she was, and in corporeal form no less. There were many questions racing through her head right now but before she could even voice any of them her master preempted her. "It seems your wit had left you, no matter, we have a more pressing matter to attend to." Frail fingers pointed unto the direction of the small town nearby and the mysterious silvery smoke that seems to be originating from it.

"See that? We have to get there as soon as possible."

Meanwhile back at town. "What happened here?" asked the captain of the Rune Knights as he approached the knights who were stationed there. The knights did not know what to tell their superior, instead they decided to show him. The small crowd that gathered made way for the captain, revealing the figure which was at the center of it all. The invader that had fallen from the sky.With the her long golden locks that stretched all the way to her waist, amethyst blue eyes that seem to sparkle, blood red lips that mesmerizes all that gaze upon it, and that face... one cant help but get lost staring at it. She was beautiful in every way possible, nay she was a goddess of beauty and light. The captain was was speechless. The woman must have noticed that the man was someone in power for she came to greet the captain of the guards and spoke.

"Are you the leader of this place?"


The captain was still dazed by the beauty in front of her, it took him a while to register her question but he managed to stutter our an answer.

"Nnnooo...I mean yes..I am the captain of the rune knights stationed here....So that sort of makes me the head honcho."

The woman was delighted with his reply. She came closer to him and whispered to his ears.

"Let's talk somewhere private, I have a proposition to make."

And with those words, the woman took the captain's hand and led him away from the crowd.

Meanwhile in the outskirts of town, both student and master raced in awkward silence as they made their way towards the village. Alleria kept throwing murderous glares at her master's direction, usually it works on her guild mates. They would have turned around by now and yelled "What the hell do you want!" or flung a deadly weapon her way or when they really are on  a bad mood, blasted her to tiny bits.  Her master however seems t be immune to her attacks.  An unexpected smile crept unto her lips. Perhaps she was just happy to see her again, having her vacate her head did leave an empty space.

It seemed just like yesterday when she had called a truce with this realm's elder gods. After the defeat of the Lich, who was actually one of the many wills of a sleeping outer god named Abhoth, her master suddenly told her that she was going to stop visiting. Visiting was the term her master used when ever she decides to pop and and strike a conversation in Alleria's head, you have any idea how it felt when people called you cuckoo, it was too much for a small kid to handle. Probably the reason she turned into passive aggressive sadistic war monger.

Anyway back to Abhoth, he was an outer god who was banished to this plane of existence by the elder gods. His sentence was to sleep for all eternity. However once in a while, when ever  the god dreams, part of his essence accumulates and gains a will of its own, a will that they inherited from the maker, the will to destroy all life in this world. Well at least that is how her master told the story. She glared at her master again and thought.

"That no good lying sack of crass."

The blue haired girl stopped from running causing Alleria to suddenly stop too and falling on her face. Her thoughts were, Im so dead. She totally forgot that they are still linked so what ever she's thinking she can hear.

"No your not dead you crazy fool, I simply stopped because we are here."

The duo had reached the edge of the forest and the village was within their view. The village was quite small, surrounded by a 10 feet tall brick with wooden spikes at the base of the wall. Sentry posts were scattered at each end of the walls and at the two main entrance. Security was tight considering the village was close to the Mystic tower. All sorts of people frequent the village, some shadier than the others. And sometimes mysterious creatures emerge from the tower attacking the village nearby. Another reason why a large number of rune knights are deployed here, to help protect the village from monsters and to help maintain the peace. Even the mayor of the village was a rune knight, most decisions are made by him and he gets a say on who goes inside the tower and those who are refused entrance, not like it really matters. Everyone knows that anyone who enters the tower never comes out again.

"So when are you going to tell me what this is about?" Alleria was annoyed that her most beloved master still kept her in the dark. Aside from the cynical snide from her about her being lazy and all, she had barely acknowledged her as her student.  Sensing her distress, Ilyria finally spoke. "I did not train you to be a sentimental fool, has my absence made you that weak?" There was a brief pause before the malevolent force continued to talk. "If you must know, I am chasing after a rogue outer god....or should I say goddess. Her name is Ghroth, the One that passes trough the darkness, and she has the ability to wake up slumbering outer gods."

"Then you mean?"

Ilyria nodded her head.

"Then that must mean that."

Ilyria nodded again, then she said with an ominous tone "If she succeeds in waking Abhoth then its the end of all life for world."

It was just a lot for Alleria to take in, the end of all life on this world as we know it. That kinda rang trough her ears, over and over again. Then she remembered "Hey! I'm a dark mage, why the hell do I have to worry about people dying and stuff?" Beside, she was pretty sure not all life will end, her master was over exaggerating again like always. She knew there were other power immortal races on this world, why not let them worry for a change.

"Why do we have to worry about that, let the magic council worry about that sort of thing. Hell let the legal mages and those sell swords declaring themselves as Neutral worry about that kind of crap. You could have spared us this hullabaloo by just landing on  Era and tell tell those lazy bums who likes sitting around on their fat tushes about the impending apocalyptic disaster."

Ilyria shook her head, she was disgusted with her pupil. "I never taught you to be on the sidelines when great catastrophic event strikes, you should be behind pulling the strings or at least on the front row seats enjoying the up close view, but never on the sidelines." She was infuriated with Alleria. Her eyes with flashing like crazy and her hair was flowing wildly, like serpents dancing, ready to strike her down.

"And point number two, did I ever promote total destruction of an entire race?" her voice was calmer now but the glint in her eyes remained.

Alleria shook her head and said "No master, you taught me that enslaving and tormenting is more pleasurable than just erasing them from existence."

The dark forgotten one smiled. "It seems there is still hope for you my young apprentice, now lets go get Ghroth before night falls. You wouldn't want to mess with her when she's in her true form."

Meanwhile in the captain of the rune knight's office, the silhouette of two figures with lips intertwined can be seen trough the curtain outside.

"Our boss sure is lucky to bag such a pretty dame."

Rune knight number one elbowed rune knight number then winked.

"He sure is, and look! He's raising his hand in ecstasy as the hot lady is holding his head for a tighter lip lock."

The two peeping toms giggled at each other thinking that their boss was really scoring some base with the golden haired goddess. But o the other side of the curtain, things were a little different. Yes their lips are locked in a kiss but the captain was not enjoying it. His hand is raised up because the poor man was gasping for his last breath, and yes the woman's arm is holding the man's head in place but it was busy sucking out the brains from the latter. The sickening sound of flesh being sucked filled the room as blood dripped from the side of the woman's lips. Once the deed was done, the woman left the brainless corpse drop back down to the chair.

"Not bad, I can grow to like this taste."

Ghroth then bit her finger causing the skin to peel off and blood to rush out, though it was not ordinary blood. Instead of red, it was green, and it was thicker and it seems to move on its own. The blood that trickled down the floor clumped together and started to transform into a sinewy creature.  The creature had no eyes but it had a mouth and part of its body would form into a tendril as it made its way unto the top of the table.

"Go on my pretty, dont be shy. Welcome to your new home."

The moving blob of sinewy tissue attached itself to the corpse of the dead captain and began to make its way towards the head. Once it reached its destination, the creature began to slither its way into the cadaver's nose and made its way to the brain. From there on wards, the creature began to meld with the rune captain's brain. The dead captain's fingers began to twitch, followed by the whole body convulsing. A few more seconds, the corpse ceased its movements and the once closed eyes opened. Curiously, the eyes that were once brown turned into a ghastly blue. T

The captain stood up and tried moving around. The creature was still getting accustomed to its new body. The captain walked shakily and stumbled a few times before it got managed to get it right.

"Don't worry, you get use to that meat suit soon enough. For now, go clean up yourself and then tell your men to be on the look out for anyone with violet colored hair." the golden haired woman told the captain of the rune knights. The captain did as he was told and went off on his way. The woman peaked trough the curtain of the window, sending the two knights who were loitering about scrambling back to their posts. But the woman did not pay heed to them, she was staring at something more distant. She knew she was followed by that meddling outer
god Ilyria. For all she know, she could already be close by.

Meanwhile, on the main gate of the village, master and student had already passed trough inspection. It was just the routine check, inspection of personal effects and frisking, and since both had no personal effects to inspect and with the absence of any lady rune knights, the duo had it easy.

"I can't believe we got trough that easily." Alleria smugly told her teacher.

Hey new order from the boss.

It was one of the peeping toms earlier. He was carrying a letter from the head captain telling them to be on the look out for any woman with violet hair.

Hey didnt one just pass by a few minutes ago?

As one of the stationed guards to his partner. The messenger looked at the other guy waiting for his answer.

Im not sure....wait yep, yep one did pass by. She was accompanied by a hot chick with green hair.

Well go find them! They couldn't have gotten that far! Ill alert the other knights about this then report back to the captain.

Meanwhile at the town's square, teacher and student studied the scene left behind by the arrival of the golden haired woman. The mini crater, the fractured fountain, and the scattered  debris were all still there. Lucky for them the towns people still have not cleared away all the trash. In Illyria's eyes, the debris were riddled with patches of golden light.

Yes she had been here. Her energy signature still has not dissipated from the trash over there.

Can you really see stuff like that? Does this mean you can track her down?

Yes I can, but sadly it doesnt work like that. The way it works is she has to use her power first.

The green haired girl had still had no clue what her teacher was talking about. She tried focus her magic to her eyes to see what her master sees but there was still nothing. She walked over to the pile rubbish and picked up one piece and tried to look for what ever her teacher was seeing.

Nope, I still see nothing.

Hey what are you doing there? That place is a crime scene, your not suppose to be there!

Alleria was startled and dropped the fragment of the fountain that she was inspecting earlier. She was about to say something snappy to the person who just shouted at her but held her tongue. It was a rune knight, probably assigned to patrol the area.

Ok ok, im leaving sheesh!

Alleria went back to her master's side and the duo was about to go when the guard noticed the other woman who was with her. She was standing at the shadows so her hair appeared black but when she stepped out into the fading light, it was clear that her hair was indeed purple or violet or something with a tint of dark blue.

Hey you, the woman with dark hair!

Illyria looked at the guard and made a gesture with her hand pointing to herself.

Me?

Yes you. I need to invite you over to the captain's place.

Alleria interjected.

What is this about? We are just tourist out to sight see.

The guard raised his brow and looked at them from head to toe. Sure there are frequent tourists coming to that place but their outfit was a little too outlandish. The ones that run off the mill mages wore, with their pointed hat and garb and hood.

Its just protocol miss, so come along quietly and no one would get hurt.

Alright we will do as you bid us...but one question first. Did a beautiful woman with golden curls happen to pass this way?

Yeah, she is staying over at the captains house...that lucky devil.

Oh dear I think we are too late. It seems she had already taken control of the village's ruler.

Big deal, so what if she had taken control of the village's leader, its not like any of them can match me or even you.

Come on quit your yapping its time to...

But the knight was not able to finish his sentence and fell dead on the spot.

Alleria was stunned, what happened to the passive aggressive way of doing things, the not to spill any unnecessary blood mumbo jumbo.

What the hell master?! I thought your all about being pacifist or something?! Why the hell hell did you just shoot that guy dead?!

Were already villains in the eyes of the people, plus I am pretty sure he was going to alert his comrades where we are once we let him go.

We could have just erased his memory.

You dont understand my pupil. Ghroth had already made her move. One by one the people will turn into mindless drones for the golden one. And that is just the beginning, soon hordes of formless entities will cross to this world with the help from that she devil.

Illyria looked up to the sky and said.

And it just got dark...we seriously need to find her now instead of bickering.

On the other side of town, the screams of terror filled the rune knights head quarters.

No please...no!!!

A man was strapped to the chair while the captain stood close. He had just finished placing one of those sinewy creatures at the man ears and it was already making its way to the mans brains. The man was in agony and wracked on the chair, his hands balled up to a fist and his feet curled up.

The door opened and in came a beautiful woman with long black curls and pitch black eyes.

Your production of drones are slow. Thankfully the source of light for this world had set and I can unleash my powers now. Just assemble all enabled drones and assemble them here. We are about to match to the Mystic tower...but first I have to take care of business first.

The woman turned her wrist upwards and using her surprisingly sharp fingernails, slit it wide open, causing blood to come rushing out.

Blood trickled  down her wrist then into the floor. Drop by drop, it accumulated on the floor till it was as wide as a puddle. An eerie bubbling puddle that seemed to undulate on its own.

My pretties, rise. It is time for you to make me proud! I want you to convert every living creature here into mindless drones!

Small creatures with long extending tendrils started emerging from the pool and blood and marched off into every location. Some slithered, some pounced and others hitch hiked unaware people and animals.

Goddess, we had gathered every last drone.

Excellent, we move out!

Meanwhile, both master and student are racing towards the edge of town unaware that a huge blockade was waiting for them there. Alleria still cant get over the fact that stuff are really happening.

What is it?

The violet haired woman finally said, she knew Alleria was giving her that look.

You already know why.

Illyria stopped.

Are we really doing this now? We have a loose self righteous goddess who wants to awaken a mad titan. This world you love so much will be probably be destroyed and your worrying why I killed a man, a man who you would have no qualms of killing yourself.

Alleria blinked. A sweat drop formed at her forehead as she said.

I was already over that. I was just worried that its night and we probably have to smite a lot of people and im currently powerless.

Come again?

What again? The I am over it part?

No, the you are powerless part.

Oh that. Well yeah, I somehow lost my secondary magic and cant access my some of my higher magic.

Illyria rolled her eyes.

Are you kidding me? And you mention that to me now?! Maybe I should have just landed at Era first. Nevermind I'll fix that for you.

The violet haired one stretched her hand out and a black portal open before them.

Illyria shoved Alleria into the black hole then followed her after.

Alleria woke up to the feeling of weightlessness.

Good your awake.

The hazel eyed mage stared at her surroundings, it was dark but not the kind of dark you would experience inside an enclosed room or when it is night. Everything around them was dark, but twinkling lights are all around them too, they just seem really really far. She then eyed a floating piece of rock and said.

Are we in outer space?

Yes and no. Yes in a sense that I copied the emptiness of space and a no for we are really aren't anywhere in particular. This is a pocket dimension that I created. This place exists outside of time so even if we stayed here for more than ten year when we go back out it would be on the exact place and time before we entered. It is just like when you imagine stuff going inside your head that feels like forever and snap out only to find that a few seconds had just past. If you want I can change the background.

You can do that? nah, I think I like this setting better.

She said as she floated around flailing her arms, mimicking a swimmer doing a backstroke.

Well im glad your comfy because things are are about to get nasty.... we are here so you can regain that which you have lost.

But I didnt loose anything.

You just told me earlier that you lost your secondary magic is unable to cast higher ranked magic.

Oh right, yeah. I thought you mean like an object or stuff.

Wide eyed, Alleria gazed into her master's eyes and asked.

So how are we going to do this? Will there be a trial? Meditation?

First off we will lift the curse placed on you. There is a powerful blocked cast on you which prevents you from accessing your more powerful spells. But you're in luck, I am an expect in breaking seals, but my methods are quite unconventional.

Alleria didnt like the sound of that. She knew that when her master said unconventional or strange, it meant really really weird and really really painful.

It doesn't hurt right?

Her master didnt reply, she just gave her one of her trademark evil grins.

Meanwhile outside the pocket dimension. The sinewy creatures had began their attack. The easiest prey were the young and the old, and those who were already asleep. House by house, they moved undetected, like ants they swarmed the whole town. Latching unto to those who were  unaware and snagging the weary. It was only later that creatures became more aggressive, showing themselves openly that cause people to scream in fear. While the goddesses main force advanced towards the Mystic tower. Ghroth turned back to the town as she heard screams and wails fill the night air. It was music to her ears, a fitting symphony to welcome the awakening of Abhoth.

Stay here my babies. Mommy is going inside the tower alone.

Back on the pocket dimension,  Alleria awaited for Illyria's instructions.

So I need to fight the embodiment of the curse right?

The violet one nodded. Alleria braced herself and said.

Ok, I am ready. Hit me with your mojo.

In a tongue long forgotten, the goddess began to chant. As she did talismans appeared around Alleria, forming a circle. As the talisman began to shine, a dark aura began to manifest around Alleria.  Each flash from the talismans pushes it back to one side, then one flash pushes it back to the other till it was being pushed on all sides with each push getting strong, casting a longer shadow  . Until at last, the shadow broke free.

The shadow curled up into a ball, gradually gaining form. Head, arms, chest and legs. When it was fully formed the shadow stood up. It was roughly the same height as her. It had long hair that hid its face, it had sparking skin just like her master had and I wielded a scythe.

Well well, what a surprise. You finally managed to free yourself of all the hate in your heart, like what you did to your love.

Excuse me but do I know you?

I am the lingering shadow that your other half left behind.

Alleria tried to fly back to her master but found that she was unable to do so.

Oh you guys cant go outside the circle of talisman, beside you have plenty of room to duke it out in there given that the circle has a 5 meter radius. You'll on be able to get out of there when one of you is dead.

That would be a piece of cake.

Alleria flicked her fingers but nothing happened. She tried doing it again but ending with the same result.

I forgot, you cant cast spells while your inside that circle. That goes for you too embodiment of twilight.

The other girl hissed at the outer goddess and asked.

How did you know?

Illyria pointed to the scythe that she was holding.

I believe that is the scythe of twilight. Im just curious, it shouldn't have materialized since the circle  prohibits the activation of magic. I knew it was immune to most magic but I could not believe that it was able to bypass one of my most powerful spells.

The girl laughed, and said.

No power in this world can stand a blow from this scythe.

To make her point, she swung her scythe at the magic barrier with the intent to rip it apart. But instead of slicing it the scythe just phased trough, leaving the barrier unharmed. The girl tried again but the same thing happened. She tried punching the barrier with her bare hands but she was pushing back.

What kind of sorcery is this. No creature posses the power to withstand direct attacks from this scythe. Unless...

She stared looking. The place was indeed a replica of a real place somewhere in the cosmos. It was the place were other cosmic beings dared not go, the domain of the keeper of the nexus, the goddess of the crossroads...

You're the forgotten one!
But why would you align yourself with such a disgusting creature. I don't even know what it is, I was told to seal its powers by..

The girl clasped her hand on her mouth. She had said too much. Yes she fears the Forgotten one but the one who commands her was someone who was not to be trifled with. He was the many tentacled terror in the dark nether reaches of the multiverse.

Well if your not gonna tell me. Im gonna beat it out of you.

Alleria lunged at the girl that embodied the curse but was blocked, all she had was a faceful of the scythe's handle. The girl then pushed her back then proceeded with her counter attack, a swift wide swing from her scythe. The green haired girl evaded the attack by doing a back flip but just barely, she was just split hair away from being decapitated from that attack, literally. About an inch worth of hair was hacked off by the girl's last attack and it now drifted on the floor of the bottomless magic circle.

Oh no you didn't!

Alleria had gone ape shit crazy. She didnt care she had no magic, she didn't care that her enemy probably had tough skin just like her mistress, all she knew was she had to land a fist into that smug face of hers. She tried using the barrier as a catapult by jumping at it fully aware that she would sprung back. And she did, only her enemy already anticipated that move and in in swoop impaled the scythe into her chest.

Back on earthland, the goddess Ghroth had entered the mystic tower. She was welcomed by a throng of monsters ready to devour her. The monsters inside the tower are known for their ravenous appetite, they usually stalk their prey alone at the different levels of the tower, but the scent the goddess was irresistible for them, a multitude of them gathered at the towers entrance ready to feast on the flesh of the woman.

There she is, the source of the that delicious aroma.

Hey, quit shoving. First come first serve.

Im calling dibs on her head, I love munching on eyeballs.

Leave something for us too, bones or nails will do.

The woman shrugged with disgust. She was hoping to attract omega class monsters, instead this motley lot appeared.

Im not really interested in lower level monsters but you guys will do.

Low ranked monsters? We are masters of our own domain.

Said a one eyed giant as it stumped its foot causing the floor to crack. True that they were not omega class monsters but that doesnt mean that they were weak either. Compared to others that inhabit the tower they are indeed floor masters. With prowess in speed, strength and magic, they rule over the different floors of the tower. The cyclops drew two swords strapped unto its back and cried out as it charged towards the intruder.

I'll show you just how strong I am you insolent fool! Ill make sure to cut you into tiny little pieces.

Meanwhile back in the pocket dimension, the girl with the scythe stood over the corpse of Alleria. Happy with her victory, the girl let her guard down as she asked Illyria why the barrier was still up.

The dead is done old one! Why have you not release me yet.

The violet haired woman smile and spoke.

Oh on the contrary, your opponent is not dead yet.

And just like on cue, the supposedly dead green haired mage started to gasp for air. The wound on her chest closing as the blood stopped flowing.

How could this be?!

The girl was stunned at the turn about of the situation. Alleria took the chance to swipe the scythe from the the girl's hand by yanking at it with all her might and said while coughing.

You snooze you lose.

And swung the scythe at the girl. Snapping out of the daze she's in the girl tried to avoid the attack but her reaction was a tad late. In trying to avoid her torso from getting hit, she used her strength to jump out of harms way, only her left foot got snagged by the incoming lash.

Wow I guess this thing really is sharp. Imagine it able to penetrate trough your diamond hard skin. This thing really is amazing!

The girl was surprised. It was true that her skin was indeed tough, ordinary attacks wont work on her, the same goes for ordinary weapon.

How did you know about my secret?

Its not really a secret, at least for me.

Alleria then gestured over to her master and said.

I just noticed that you and master have the same complexion, the pale white and glittering kind. And I know for a fact that masters skin may look like porcelain but it sure as hell is as tough as diamonds. So I just guessed that yours must be just as tough and that there was no way for me to win against you with just my bare hands...so I had to improvise and borrow your weapon.

She swung the scythe again then pointed it at her limping enemy and said.

And I think Ill be keeping this.

Wicked a smug smile on her face she asked.

So are you ready to die?

However, the girl still had not lost hope. She didn't fear death because she will just reincarnate in one form or another. But she did fear the wrath of her master for failing her and death is the least of her problems when that happens.

I may have lost a foot but that does not mean the fight is over.

The girl lunged at her, retracting her razor sharp nails, making it look like she was going for the kill when all the while she was secretly trying to snatch back her scythe. But it seems as if Alleria can read her, the green haired mage swung the scythe and chopped off both her hands.

Just give up dearie. This battle is over!

Alleria looked at the floating soul in front of her and asked.

Tell me again, why I have to do this?

Ilyria let out an exasperated sigh and repeated what she just told Alleria.

She is a fury, a being who collects unpaid magic, not just in this realm but in all other realms. The person who works for is probably one of the Fates.

Yeah I know, those wretched sisters who keep denying me of my death.

Shhh, just listen ok. Now if you take her soul you will be able to traverse the infinite cosmos.

But I have already been doing that for...

A cold finger upon her lips ceased it from moving. Ilyria eyed her student and made the gesture of zip it.

Now as I was going to say before I was rudely interrupted, yes you have the ability to do just the same, but your using magic that really isnt yours. The magic you have been using belongs to me and your wanton ways had somehow alerted the fates of your extra curricular activities.

She then made a hand gesture at the floating fire, that was the furies soul, to come forward.

Alleria took the flame into her hands, she stared at it long and hard, before she shoved the flame to her chest.

Back on Earthland, the village was in utter chaos. Fire raged on like a sea of flames as screams of terror filled the night air. Almost eighty percent of the village population was taken over, the remaining twenty percent are either in hiding or fled the village already. A  few of those that were taken over are still hunting down any possible survivors while the majority of them rallied outside the tower, chanting some strange verse that they repeated over and over gain.

Inside the tower, Ghroth sat over a pile of skulls and bones. She could hear the chant of her children and it was music to her ears. All the monsters that had gathered earlier had now disappeared, they all had turn into snacks for the goddess. She sighed with contentment as she picked her teeth with a small piece of bone.

That sure was a hearty meal...just not as nutritious but it will do. Too bad im so full right now that I have to wait again before im in the mood to eat.

As the chanting continued, ominous clouds started forming above the tower, tremors began to wrack the whole village and dark mist seeped from the tower's foundation. Inhuman roars and shrieks sounded off from the different floors of the tower. The goddess knew the level bosses were ready for her and that was their way of telling her to come and get them if she dared.

Just you wait, once I'm ready to eat I'll make sure to destroy you guardians and release Him from his lullaby.

Meanwhile on the pocket dimension that Ilyria had created, the pained wails of Alleria rang over and over again. After plunging the soul's flame into her chest, excruciating pain washed upon her whole body like a wave. She was not prepared for this, it was hell all over again.

She will never make it, she will be trapped in an endless cycle or life and excruciating death.  came a strange disembodied voice.

I knew you were watching all along Clotho. she said in a matter of fact voice.

I have faith in my student. She will pull through and you will lose your claim upon her.

Everything had gone silent, the screams of pain that use to haunt the pocket dimension had suddenly ceased. The girl that was once writhing in pain, now hovers motionless in the black empty space as if lifeless. The only tell tale sign that she was still among the living was the subtle glow of her aura. Her master watched vigilantly as if unfazed by the predicament her was in now, she believes in her , besides, if it comes right down to the wire, she could always give her a little boost, but for now she can confidently smirk as she watch the seemingly lifeless body of her student drift to and fro into the darkness of the cosmic dimension.

Meanwhile back at the Mystic Tower, the showdown between Ghroth and the floor guardians are about to begin. The dark goddess and her possessed troops rallied outside the door of the last floor of the tower. It was a huge golden door with silver runic etching written at the edges, and they seem be giving off some strange light. The goddess tried to approach the door so she may touch the mirror like surface, but even before her hand could get a within a feet of the door, the runes started glowing so brightly and an invisible prevented her from laying her hand on the door. "You think a protection spell as weak as that can keep me out?" The goddess drew her hands together and as she did radiant dark light started gathering between her curled hands. The energy accumulated into little globes of blinding light. "Now lets see how your barrier holds up against my attack!" The tiny balls of light then flew from her hands and came crashing against the door. Upon impact the balls release tremendous amounts of energy before turning dark and expanding and drawing back the energy back unto itself. Once the dust and smoke had settled, it revealed that the door was still there, unscathed, all to the dismay of Ghroth.

The barrier that she had looked down upon held on, explosion after explosion it withstood the barrage she threw at it, she was getting frustrated by now. It was not just the door, even the wall and even the whole room seem to be impervious from her attacks. Her minions started looking at each other, they were shocked that their mistress was having a hard time breaking such a primitive enchantment. "I thought our queen was all powerful?"  Ghroth ceased her onslaught on the door, a hush fell over the mob behind her, they knew who ever said that was screwed. "Who said that?" Silence was their only reply. "So no one is going to talk?" She started channeling once again but this time she was facing towards the crowd. "Mistress wait! He said it!" said three minions in unison as they pointed at the voidling in front of them.
