Ninja Wars | Hika & Frederick

Colours of orange, yellow and red spread out above her as pale clouds drifted by, along with the momentum of the breeze. The weather was scorching, the sunlight beaming down at the Sabertooth guild master who was gazing up at the building looming above her, Mystic Tower. The air was stale and damp, making her feel groggy and disoriented. Clothes tightly clung to her body like a child to its mother, and were unrelenting in the frigid, harsh gales that blew across the undulating lands of the Mystic Tower. Her rose coloured hair sailed behind her like a kite, black cloak billowing wildly as the wind came up, outlined nobly for all to see. A strong sense of magic that radiated from the strange tower clashed with the aura that surrounded her body. Perplexed, the woman stared up at the structure curiously, as if any kind of hint would strike her mind. Mysterious and enigmatic; the two words that perfectly describes the tower, whoever entered the establishment was never found to return alive, or so the rumours state. Yet, she was not even slightest moved by the doubtful truth. The woman watched her pet, Gnar, running off into a distance and chasing a scorpion he had caught sight of. ”I swear, you’re more like a dog, than an eccentric creature.” She spoke, only to receive a response of foriengn language shaking her head and her eyes briefly closed at the same time.

The reason the Sabertooth guild master was at the Mystic Tower was not just to figure out the mysteries of how strange the building was, but for the job she had decided to accomplish along the side of the guild’s Second In Command who was no other than Lord Frederick. For the moment, he had not shown up on time. A sigh of frustration escaped her lips, followed by a click of her tongue as she stood tall in front of the tower and waited not so patiently for her fellow partner.


Members of Sabertooth began to flock around the mission board that was placed right beside the guild bar since the guild master had pasted new sheets of jobs for her guild mates to do. The corners of her lips twitched upwards slightly, seeing how her comrades were enthusiastic about the new jobs that was pinned up on the board. Among the brittle, yellow sheets of papers, the guild master had saved up one, that she had found amusing for herself and someone who might be interested in accompanying with her. Normally, Hika would take her paramour, Chelvaric, but since he was gone for the day, Hika decided to take someone else instead. Indigo orbs swept across the massive guild hall packed with quite a number of people. The huge entrance doors of the guild was ajar as usual in the daytime, allowing her to witness the beauty of nature; puffy clouds adrift as it passed by their guild and birds soaring in the sky. Leaning against the edge of the wide doors that led the Sabertooth members to their rooms, the woman folded her arms and crossed her legs as if she was waiting for someone and watched her guild mates chattered among themselves about their enterprises.

Within the corner of her eyes, Hika caught a glimpse of Frederick loitering about in the hall. As his typical nature, he was a person who preferred to stay out of sight, and mostly never got along with the guild mates. The ends of her lips twitched at one end as she unfolded her arms and strode up to him while holding the paper she had grabbed from the mission board earlier. The coldness in her eyes never left her features, yet a sly smile rested on her plump, rosy lips. Upon reaching in front of him, the woman handed out the paper to Frederick within her forefinger and thumb. ”I want you to come along with me for the job. No if’s and buts.” After giving out the paper to him, a smile crept up on her face followed by a gentle clap on his shoulder before she meandered off, out of the entrance. ”I’ll be leaving first. Make sure you come up on time!”


And so, she was here alone, deserted in a place where a single tower was located in the middle of a desert. There were only a few people in the area, mostly explorers wandering around the region, expecting to find something, yet, they never dared to approach any closer to the tower. ”Gnar!” The woman called out, gesturing her pet to come towards her. The little creature turned towards her, a smile always dressed on its mouth as two canine fangs shone brightly, lethality written across them.
