T wo weeks had passed since Lexa had left her luxurious life in Black Rose. The only remnant of her existence that she left was her file in Omen that had her name and former position as an ace, and a letter tacked to the job notice board with a knife. Lexa had covered almost all bases, burning her belongings that she didn't want, deleting information from the guild masters' terminal, and even burning her finger prints and Lillian's too. The only thing she couldn't do as cut loose ends, since that would include killing off quite a few members of Black Rose. While Lexa normally didn't care about slitting people's throats in their sleep, she had many issues with hurting her family. A thunderstorm brewed overhead as Lexa sat on the remnants of a once strong, tall tree that now resided on the floor. Lillian had started a warm fire for them using her own magic and some wood. It was wet wood at first, but Lillian's fire magic was hot enough to dry it quickly."Shit.." Lexa stated as the sound of footsteps came from the distance. Her ears were considerably stronger than the average human, stronger than most predators in the animal kingdom even. Lillian looked at Lexa inquisitively. "One... two... maybe three." Lexa said out loud as she focused in on it. "Atty, grab 'Lil and get'r outta here. I don't need her becoming a hostage, wait ten minutes before coming back." she ordered. The small white, nine tailed fox with blue flames at the tip of each tail walked over to Lillian and rested a paw on her. The two burst into a small flame, reappearing wherever was safest at the moment. A path lay some ways away leading into some local brush near the cliffs. Lexa got up, holding two blades as she moved to the path. Her ears picked up no movement other than those two or three coming. She slammed the two swords in the ground, standing tall with a firm look in her eyes. Her arms were crossed under her chest as she waited in the middle of the path for her trackers. A thunder storm began brewing out of nowhere above Lexa's position, blotting out the sun and casting a massive shadow over the land as Lexa heard them getting closer. She stood, waiting for the group to reveal itself. Lexa heard a man calling her by name, identifying them as her guildmates... though she didn't recognize the voice. Soon, the group came out in the open and stopped, one of them had a bright smile and waved, acting as Lexa and her were good friends. A blast of lightning shot down from the thunderstorm above, slamming into the ground and moving across slowly. Once the phenomenon had gone, it revealed a line was drawn in the dirt that was glowing red from the intense heat Lightning normally generated. Lexa unfolded her arms and grabbed the swords. A crimson wakizashi held in a backwards grip, and then a black wakizahsi that she spun. The black one changed from a sword to a lever action rifle the was pointed directly at Izayuki. Lexa's eyes were cold, angry, and firm... the exact inverse of the last time any of the three had seen her. If they remembered Lexa from the cafe job, her normal look was nothing but pure joy, love, and friendship. Her current demeanor suggested she considered them enemies, and no longer called them family. When she finally spoke, the voice wasn't playful and childish... it was older, and very serious. "I don't know how you know me, and if you truly are from Black Rose I don't want to kill you. But if any of you take another step, I won't hold back!" she shouted across the thirty meter expanse with a steaming scorch mark closer to the three.Lexa was known for many things in the guild. Being too friendly, too happy, to smart, too nosy, too loud, and extremely annoying were among them. Of all things she was known for, being a liar, and being merciful were not on the list. Several arcs of black and blue sparks of electricity began running down her arms, legs, and torso as her magic circuits began glowing bright gold. Elyx, the one who'd proctored her exams would know for a fact that Lexa wasn't a lightning mage, which meant he no longer had the advantage of knowing her magic. A blast of lightning came down, engulfing Lexa completely but no sounds of pain came out. When the lightning vanished, Lexa was seen wearing a set of ancient oriental assailant's armour. This suit, for those in Omen at lease, was infamous as Lexa's number one belonging. The group had books upon books of material on its origins up until Lexa took and burned them all. 'Stargazer Armour' was its name, a suit that got even stronger when Lexa had allies near her. It was famed for its ability to call meteor storms too... but most of all, it was known as Lexa's one and only set of battle armour. Her putting it on was a sign that she had personally signed a persons' death warrant. WC: 512 HORSE MONKEYS! |

A nother blast of blue lightning crashed from the sky, abusing the ground and sending debris flying upwards. The red hot ground this time was directly in front Elyx and Marschal, as they were the ones who decided to move. The shape would imply Lexa missed them on purpose, but let the attack be close enough to pose a threat. "I don't know why the council's after me! I don't know who any of you are! I don't know what I am! I don't know anything! I left so I can get answers! I don't care how many people I hurt, and if you all don't turn around and leave I'll make sure you never come back for me!" Lexa shouted as her thunderstorm got worse. The sound of energy moving through the clouds, a firm wind building up, and blue sparks moving about Lexa's body all created a symphony of warnings. A pair of golden fox ears and a tail sprouted from Lexa, her armour creating appropriate holes in itself to allow the extensions to show. This would let those who were familiar with the aces of Black Rose know that Lexa was getting ready to go all out, and demonstrate that she had more power than what she let off. While her magical presence was strong, about as strong as the average mage; Lexa was a natural energy reservoir that could easily get stronger for a moment or two. This was always made known when it was ready to happen by the animalistic features she'd gain after becoming an ace materialized.WC: 262 HORSE MONKEYS! |
