Kite wasn’t at the helm of his ship as it travelled from Hargeon back towards the ace of spades, the town which belonged to the Sabertooth Guild. WIth a job completed he was set to go home and collect of some well deserved rest especially considering what had transpired on his last job. A slight blush came across his face upon remembering the details of the job, in particular the very end and spending time with that Duchess from Blue Pegasus. He had the steering column of Tailspin locked in place to avoid any unwanted turns during his trip home. This had given him time to relieve himself from the helm and proceed down to the dining area just down the way from the cockpit where he would proceed to cook himself some dinner. Some of the time Kite would just settle on lighting up the stove in order to consume the flames provided by the burners, the only issue with that was the taste. Flames from the oven had a strange aftertaste to them similar to how gasoline would smell and it usually deterred him from attempting to do so often. This particular meal time however would consist of actual food stuffs such as protein, Veggies and all the other colors of the rainbow that would go with a complete wholesome meal. By that he meant he was gonna heat up some water and make himself a heaping helping of ramen that he managed to procure from Viccini’s, the restaurant that had hired him to scare off some thugs. How to prepare it was another issue altogether, he could easily use the heat from his magic to cause the water to boil much quicker than what a stove could do on its own but there was a risk to consider and one he knew all too well and that was his own heat causing the boiling pot of water to casually have part of it melted due to the extreme temperatures and cause all the water to leak out of the newly acquired holes. After holding the pot under the running water for about a minute or two it was filled and already placed on the stove top where the flames from the burner licked at the bottom of the pot slowly heating the contents inside. It had only been a minute or two since the pot had started to heat up but it felt like an hour to the hungry demon slayer and that wasn’t good for his stomach so the notion of “aiding” the boiling process along he let his flames to ignite in his hand and held it over the water ”Just a little push is all that’s needed...“ he said casually, almost trying to convince himself that it was perfectly fine to go ahead and risk another pot to be reduced to molten scrap but before his flames could even scrape at the water the sound of a proximity alarm sounded which only occurred when animals and the like got dangerously close to the ship but he knew that it would be stupid to ignore the alarm.

After letting out a sigh he let his flames extinguish from his hand and gave the pot a steely glare ”It’s your lucky day pot, you get to boil a little longer yet.“ his voice had the tone of someone who was defeated ”it’s alright. A watched pot never boils.“ the cliche quote was sour as it left his lips and became actual words. He went through the door and up to the Cockpit to take a look out the window to see if he could spot what was causing his alarms to go off but there wasn’t anything and the alarm stopped. ”huh..musta been a passing bird.“ dismissing the false alarm he turned to go back down the stairs that lead to the hallway that would lead back to the dining area but the sound of the hatch leading to the roof of the ship could be heard closing which automatically caught his attention. ”Sounds like that false alarm wasn’t so false. A stowaway.“ he thought to himself as he prepared to open his gates of hades to draw a weapon but an aura filled the foredeck it was familiar but soon the stowaway appeared as she came into view after entering the main passage of the foredeck. Her pink hair, perky smile and the familiar voice that said his name of all things. ”That’s the name don’t wear it out!“ he said as he opened his arms wide for a hug to ensue all the while smiling uncontrollably. He would spin her in the hug should she accept the gesture.

Kite wasn't accustomed to having uninvited guests aboard his ship especially when the guest boarded the ship in mid flight but this would be chalked up to one of the few times he was actually glad it had happened. After the events that transpired at the beanstalk village he and Iza had become rather friendly. Kite could recall the incident rather vividly especially the wound that was inflicted on by the creature that terrorized the village. It was made apparent to him that she was also happy to see him by the giggles that escaped her lips upon being hugged by the demon slayer which made a larger smile to appear on his own face. As the hug concluded Iza gently escaped his hug and was greeted by her officially with a familiar saying of long time no see. Kite nodded in agreement and proceeded to cross his arms over his chest ”a mite too long but it's damn good to see you again Iza.“ he said keeping the joyful tone in his voice to show that he wasn't upset from the fact but more so glad to have her here on his ship which she went on to mention that she had no idea of his living situation which he was more than happy to tell her about. ”Ah you mean Tailspin? I got her not long after we met up. “ he said not hiding the smile that was plastered on his face from the fact that she said his living  on a  ship was cool.

Kite was going to offer a tour to Iza but she spoke up first asking the demon slayer if he was up for an adventure of some sort. The thought of an adventure was more than enough to peak his interest and his eyes widened to show his fellow slayer just how much he was interest. ”An adventure? Tell me more.“ he said to his friend but when he did he managed to gain a rather neat idea which he started to go with without mentioning a word. He turned and started to walk down the hall to exit the foredeck towards the dining area and stopped at the doorway and looked over his shoulder at her and winked ”Lets talk about it while I show you around the place.“
