CALL OF THEWILD
The day was new, bright and early, and Kanix had just picked up a job from Basilisk Fang's job board; that is, after nagging someone to read it for her. It was a nuisance in getting people to read things for her, as it meant she was more dependent on people than she knew. She didn't like being dependent on others, especially when she continued stating that she was not "a damsel in distress." As if anyone could figure that out: that a blind person was able to hold their own, even if they couldn't see things. All she knew was that she hated feeling like she was a dependent, when, in reality, Kanix could fully hold her own. Heaving a sigh, the woman would let her staff guide her path from the docks of Hargeon Town, down into the town, itself. As of right now, she was the only mage who was on this job, but she would've loved if someone else came along.
She didn't know anyone else though, at least not anyone who was within her guild that would do this with her. It was too kindly of a job for a dark mage to be doing; help those who were trapped, freeing them, and killing their assailants. Well, the killing of assailants was one thing, but the freeing of the slaves was something more of a legal mage would do.
"Hey! Watch where you're going!" the familiar sentence rang into Kanix's ears, and she looked up to find the person. The woman remained silent, shrugged her shoulders, gave a small apology to the one she bothered, and continued on her way.
