"Dialogue " "Thought " Writing code Dark Red | "To save a life, I must fight for more than Ideals." - Aemon " " It had been quite some time since the destruction of Eclipse Soil but for Aemon the events that took place that night was ingrained deep in his mind, the pain of not only the injuries but the pain of losing a home, granted that it was a home he had only for a short time it was a home all the same. It gave him some insight on what his family had went through when they were forced to exile from their home many years ago; however it was in the past and the man who was known to few as the Red Dragon Emperor had to move on now. The idea of finding a new home wasn’t exactly in the foreseeable future nor was it his desire. The primary thing he had to worry about was survival and the way he would be able to do that now was freelance jobs, but being the kind of man Aemon was, he already had a plan on expanding his clientele and his horizons by seeking the ability to travel outside of Fiore but there was one snag and that was him having to obtain a passport, the only thing standing between him and his goals so he had no other choice but to go and procur one. After doing some research Aemon was able find from the information that he had gathered that there were only two locations throughout the entire kingdom that distributed passports, those locations being Rose Garden and Hargeon both of which he had never been before so naturally he had gone ahead and done research on both towns just to get an idea which one he would much rather visit in order to simply pick up this passport. After some consideration he decided that it would be best that he go to Rose Garden over the port town. It wasn't that he had anything against Hargeon but the port town while advertising some nice things he had also heard from random sources that Hargeon had some shady parts to it whereas Rose Garden seem to be all about entertainment and enjoyment. That meant it would be an easier task to acquire his travel papers and it would minimize any sort of complications taking place. Aemon had been staying in the mountain village south east of Era so the journey was a longer one than if he had chosen to go to Hargeon, in fact traveling to the port town would have taken less than half the time but he didn't mind to travel long distances so it wasn't one bit of a problem. Upon arriving in Rose Garden he immediately took in the sights and sounds of the many many attractions that littered the area. From Casinos to amusement parks and everything in between it was all there. Aemon placed his hand on his hip and with an eyebrow raised spoke "So this is what all the fuss is about. Never expected an amusement park atmosphere to be so festive." he said openly admitting that he had never once stepped for inside an amusement park. He let a small sigh escape his lips "As a child I probably would have enjoyed such a place but unfortunately I don't have the time or the interest for such spectacle." he said dismissively as he turned his attention to the office building just down the way from where he was standing to take his place in line to get his passport. To his dismay upon arriving the line for the clerk counters were so long that the clerks had set up a number system in order to allow people to sit wherever and not wait in a long line. Common sense determined that he would pick his number and he drew the number of 152. "Tsk, and what number is being served." he asked as he looked at the Lacrima on the counter that had the latest serving number of 25. "Well it's a good thing I didn't have anything better to do today" he said as he sat down on a bench near the closest wall and sat with his left leg crossed over his right and had his eyes closed. After about 30 minutes they finally reached 50 which caused an exasperated sigh to escape his lips but then a he heard the sound of something, the sound of two voices shouting at each other which caused him to stand up off his bench and searched out the source of the shouting, to which he discovered on the other side of the line was a circle of people surrounding two men which were in a fight. One was tall and burley while the second man was shorter and had a lot less muscle mass to him, covered in his own blood from being hit repeatedly. " What's going on here?" he asked the man next to him who revealed that the big man goaded the shorter man to fight him with their numbers up for grabs. "Is that right? " he asked as he pushed his way into the circle and looked at the tall burley man who now held both tickets in his hand. "That's what you get squirt. Get a new number punk." Aemon stood in front of the man who was on the ground and stared at the man "It takes a big man to pick on those smaller than himself. " he declared which stopped the big man in his tracks, "What you say there whitey?" the man said in a deep voice referencing Aemon's white colored hair "I am just commenting on how it takes a true coward to pick a fight with a man whom he can easily beat. " those words struck a nerve with the big man who stuffed both tickets into his pockets and walked over to Aemon, standing head and shoulders over him standing 6 foot 7 easily and looked down at the guildless mage with content "Say that to my face" he demanded "If that is what you desire..." he paused and gave the man a deathly glare "I said you are a coward for fighting the weak what will you do about it." The man threw a punch at Aemon, a wide and clumsy swing showing the skills of a brute with no knowledge on how to fight. Aemon ducked under the swing, while doing so he let his body be flooded with a red aura that surrounded his right hand. On his way back up from the duck under he slammed his right fist into the man's gut using his welsh dragon's punch causing the man to drop to his knees clenching his gut. In between coughs "y..you are a *cough* a mage?" "That's right simpleton, did i forget to mention that? Sorry I guess I am a hypocrit for not following my own words." he reached down into the pocket and pulled the two tickets out one number was 38 while the second one was 43. "So you were petty enough to beat a man for a lousy ticket that was only 5 spots away from yours! Pathetic. " he took the tickets and walked to the man. "Here, take your ticket back." the injured man smiled and pushed it back to Aemon "You fought for me, a stranger. Keep the ticket I'll take the higher number. It will give me a chance to regain my bearings." Aemon nodded and swapped tickets with him "You have my thanks." he said and as luck would have it his new number was called and he proceeded to the desk. "Yes sir how may I help you?" The clerk asked as professionally as she could "I'd like to obtain a passport." and with in now time he was done with a passport with his face on the pictured on the document. "Step one done, step two time to have some fun." he said changing his mind and letting curiosity take over his senses. |
