Job Title: Shattered Reality
Rank: A
Player Requirements: Two mages minimum, B rank or higher, All participants must have completed The Hunter.
Job Requirements: 400 words minimum per post, 45 posts minimum. All participants must roll 10 monster dice at the beginning of the job determining exactly what you will face within, addition boss monsters after the first one rolled becomes strong monsters.
Job Location: Catacombs of the Ancient Ruins
Job Description: After dealing with the rather bothersome treasure hunter known as Harper Goldshine the Magic Council sent an expedition into the ancient ruins in order to find a way to safeguard the secrets within the vault. As a result they uncovered a secret passage deeper into the ruins, so deep in fact that it took an hour just walking down the stairs. After discovering the chamber at the bottom they discovered several passages leading deep into the catacombs of the ruins though most were sealed shut, one in particular was ruined. The majority of the expedition of both rune knights and explorers went missing while the few who returned went mad explaining the horrors of within and how there may still be survivors though most of their words were met with insanity. Not willing to leave any survivors down inside the catacombs the council calls on abled bodied wizards to go and investigate and get as many survivors out as they can as well as attempt to resolve the issue beneath. Though they are being optimistic on the survivors the magic council demands that you deal with the horrors within in order to protect the surface.
Special Notes: Paranoia, all creatures in the ruins inflict a status debuff called paranoia, this can be cleansed with light based cleansing but otherwise will not be removed. Paranoia reduces health regen by 1% for every 25 Paranoia, and if no health regen is present or paranoia is too high, will begin taking 5 damage for every 25 paranoia instead. This also can be ripped from ones soul by the boss. Paranoia will not naturally decrease while in the catacombs.
Enemies:
Weak: Ravenous Phantasm + 10 Lost Soul, Phantasms are creatures created by a rift in reality, naturally docile some become ravenous and attempt to feed off the essence of living beings. As a result phantasms destroy the soul and fuse to body to create Lost Souls. The Lost Souls are twisted forms of what used to be the Rune Knights sent in to monitor the area and are naturally tough but lack power being capable of taking damage 5 A ranks worth but will only do D rank melee damage with their attacks. Likewise where there are lost souls there are also phantasms, phantasms are naturally weak against light and darkness being one shot regardless of rank. They are extremely dangerous for all living beings capable of inflicting A rank spell damage ignoring all forms of defense as well as inflicting 5 paranoia on their psych. Ravenous Phantasms can take up to 3 A ranks of damage.
Normal: Murderous Phantasm + 5 Ravenous Phantasm + 5 Lost Soul, Murderous Phantasms are a level that a ravenous Phantasm reaches should they be left for far too long. Murderous phantasms are known to go berserk making them hard to hit as well as extremely unpredictable and fast making fleeing almost impossible. They are much tougher than other phantasms as they are no longer weak to darkness but are still one shot by light regardless of rank and their attacks deal A rank magic damage plus B rank magic damage through defenses and apply 10 paranoia. They are also accompanied by Ravenous Phantasms and Lost Souls. Murderous Phantasms can take up to 6 A ranks worth of damage.
Strong: Massive Phantasm + 5 Murderous Phantasm, Massive Phantasms are once again lesser phantasms that have grown through the stages of Ravenous to Murderous and have become huge, usually they can not leave the large chambers they take up host in but they also usually find chambers that are of importance for progressing through the catacombs. They’re massive size makes them slow and lumbering as well as easy to hit and they are once again no longer weak against darkness but extremely weak against light as it can one shot them regardless of rank. They are extremely tough otherwise as they can take up to 10 A rank damage damage and can hit extremely hard doing double A rank damage per hit through defenses but can only attack twice per post, each attack applies 15 paranoia.
Boss: Massa Phantasma + 3 Massive Phantasm, Massa Phantasma a creature of chaotic nature created in the form of a dragon by the rift in reality by a sword hidden at the back of the largest chamber in the catacombs. The room is so big that it can house both the immense size of Massa Phantasma and 3 Massive Phantasms which are capable of moving quite freely. Massa Phantasma does no damage but instead inflicts 50 paranoia per hit and can cast two spells while being capable of absorbing 15 A rank spell damage and isn’t weak to light or darkness unlike the other phantasms. (NOTE: Once Irina Naginata has completed this mission the sword will no longer exist but the effects of it will remain.)

- ”Phantoms Nova Breath”:
- Massa Phantasma breaths out chaotic energy breath dealing A rank spell damage to every living being in its path while applying 100 paranoia.
- ”Feed on their Paranoia”:
- Massa Phantasma rips the paranoia from its victims dealing 25% of the current paranoia stacks as damage.
