Special Characteristics: Yato is a celestial spirit. Therefore, when he reaches 0 hp, instead of dying or blacking out, Yato will be sent back to the celestial world to regenerate.
He can also make a contract with a maximum of 1 other player if they are a celestial summoner. Yato can be summoned on their jobs but he gets no rewards.

Personality: Yato is a kind hearted person with a good sense of morals. Although it is very easy for him to become angry if his freinds or guild are in any kind of danger. Normally, when he is in a good mood, Yato is very kind and light hearted while still maintaining a bit of seriousness. He can get into a bit of mischief but it is very rare for him to do anything blatantly idiotic. He can come across as a bit bland when you first meet him, but once you get to know him you will most likely find him an interesting and slightly quirky person. When he is angry you might mistake him for an entirely different person, as he can become a sarcastic smart ass and always solve a problem violently. He is always willing to help his freinds above all else, including his own well being. Yato's celestial constellation represents light and darkness, but he has greatly supressed his dark side to the point that it is nothing more than anger instead of evil.  Nothing is too much of a challenge for Yato, at least in his mind. He will always try to surpass an opponent that he deems stronger than him. Even if it takes him months or years. He developed this trait simply by how he was created by the celestial king, as he was created for the purpose of accomplishing tasks for the king that noone else in the celestial world could, since he was the only spirit at the time that almost never had to return to the celestial world after a long visit to earthland. Yato is also rather charismatic. He can usually talk his way out of many situations if he really felt like it. But if he is angry he will usually take the more violent route to solving a problem.

In combat, Yato is very calm and calculating. When he’s not “fired up” he approaches every situation in the most logically sound way possible, and typically thinks pretty hard about what his next move should be in any given situation. When he is “fired up” he can make some rash decisions and simply rely on his own raw power to claim a victory. As a leader Yato can bark out orders in such a way that people will usually listen to him. in short he is naturally a pretty decent leader, but he usually has no real desire to lead anyone. He prefers to be a follower. Taking orders isn't something that Yato really has much of a problem with as long as he perceives the orders as just or making sense to him. If they do not, then Yato will most likely disregard them. There have been a few occasions, though rare, that Yato refused to follow the celestial king's orders since he asked him to appeal to his dark side that he had already suppressed long ago. Yato will never follow an order he deems unjust, unfair, or does not make sense to him.

Likes: Reading Books. In all of his time on earthland, Yato has always wanted to expand his knowledge of the mortal realm.

Righting Wrongs. any Injustice is heinous in Yato's eyes so he greatly enjoys righting the wrongs.

Women. Yato is a bit of a womanizer as Lust is a sin that he has a little trouble controlling.


Dislikes: Alcohol. Its not so much that he dislikes drinking itself. Its more that it annoys him that he cant get drunk since he does not have the normal body functions of a human.

Injustice. Witnessing injustices is basically Yato's trigger. It sparks his wrath the vast majority of the time.

Demons. As a celestial spirit, demons are on the opposite side of the spectrum from Yato and he greatly distrusts them.


Motivations: Justice. Yato's mission given to him by the celestial king was to bring justice to the people of earthland. Being the highest authority in the celestial world, Yato is now devoting his life to pursue this goal set for him.

Becoming a leader within the Rune Knights. Yato wants a position where people will respect his authority so that he can have a better chance of accomplishing his goal of bringing justice.

Becoming a wizard saint. This is more for reasons of personal pride in his abilities than it is about his mission on earthland.


Fears: Death. Yato cannot die as he is an immortal, but his biggest fear is that his comrades and freinds on earthland were to die and leave him alone.

Failing his quest. If Yato ever failed in his quest to bring justice, he would most likely go through a self-imposed exile from the celestial world.

Becoming Eclipsed. Historically, there have been times when celestial spirits have become "eclipsed" and become evil in the process. Though Yato has never experienced this, he fears that he one day will.

Hair: Blue-ish violet / chin-length, well kept

Skin Tone: fairly light
Appearance: Very thin but has muscle as well. His usual attire consists of a navy jersey, white undershirt, tattered white bandanna tied around his neck, navy sweatpants, and brown leather boots. Other than that he will usually be wearing his Rune Knight uniform.
